Went last night and it was excellent. Our waitress was superb. The sticky rice with shrimp and sausage remains my favorite thing on the menu. Really a fun experience!
I have no notes. Everything about this experience was literally perfect. The cocktails were great. The space is stunning. The food was so good. The staff was on top of their game and service was perfect. Can’t wait to go back
Our dinner was delicious. The fragrance of and the spices in the food were wonderful. The grilled baby back ribs and the steamed Vietnamese dumplings were perfect starters. The spicy chicken breast was a favorite. We look forward to returning and dining at the bar with Jack, who makes perfect cocktails.
We nailed it again. Great venue and vibe in this happening place, that also thankfully serves the most delicious food. We shared a few starters and a main, finishing off with cocktails and a treat with a little crème brûlée. Plenty of flavour. Lots of people watching, not cheap but it was well worth the experience and we were very well looked after.
Stellar NYC staple. Once upon a time during the mid to late 1990's I was a international working male model (not Derek Zoolander Sorry)and this was the place to be. One of the most serious places as far as food and fashion in all of the city. Fast forward to today and nothing has changed thats because the Owner, Jean Marc has done very well for himself because of his Lack of EGO and of course the food is amazing. Its like going back in time. Tonight I Almost thought I saw David Bowie and Iman❤️
Indochine continues to deliver on both quality and atmosphere—stepping back inside feels like coming home. We opted for a family-style spread and everything was so good! We got spring rolls from the cold and hot apps and golden-fried crab cakes. For entrees, we went with the duck, which was hands-down my favorite of the night—rich and perfectly cooked without feeling chewy. Its was served with bok choy and had our reservation not been so late we would have ordered another one. The Shaken beef was delicious as well, and completed my need for protein. On the side we kept it simple with a bowl of sticky rice. For dessert we couldn’t resist the crème brûlée, a silky smooth custard with a perfectly thin caramelized sugar top, and the rum cake paired with house-made coconut ice cream. The cake itself was moist and boozy, while the ice cream was dotted with toasted shredded coconut that tasted like tiny coconut macarons—an absolutely divine finishing touch. All in all, Indochine’s enduring ambience and consistently excellent dishes make it every bit as special on a return visit as it was the first time. Highly recommended for any occasion.
This is the 2nd time l I've been here, and there is always a pretentious, uptight, and unhappy staff that makes you feel unwelcome. This spot is memorable, to say the least. The bartender last night was amazing. French. Good looking. Great as his job & super friendly. Drinks were a hit. The crowd was, well, typical. And the food, as always, is delicious, beautifully presented, and perfectly timed. For some reasons the ribs were not as good as they used to. They had a funny taste. We didn't finish them. Lastly, everyone loved the coconut Crème brûlée, I didn't. Tasted bitter and not coconutty enough, but consistency was great.
I seriously could write an entire page on just how phenomenal Indochine is and the INCREDIBLE dining experience they delivered for my birthday dinner. When I arrived, I was greeted by the sweetest and most stylish hostess who really set the tone for the evening. Next I was greeted by the AMAZING General Manager named Nicole who is BEYOND effective in her role because when I tell you the entire night for my large party of 17 was seamless!?!? It was PERFECT. Our waitresses were so efficient in taking our orders at both tables and made sure I felt special as the Lady of the Hour. The food was so delicious and fresh and piping hot arriving to our tables. I had the Mango Mojito and Lychee Mist and let me tell you that you don't even miss the alcohol being there because the essence of the fruit was so on point. Let's get into the dessert... I had the Coconut Creme Brulee and it sent my taste buds to a real good flavor party. I mean incredible was the taste and the sweetness wasn't too much to enjoy. The decor of the space, the placement of the tables just made you feel like you were in chic interior design magazine like Domino. I mean I really can't get over just how beautiful Indochine, Nicole, and the staff made me and my guests feel so at ease with great vibes all around. This was my first birthday spent without my Granny being here and I really felt that evening at dinner like she was giving me a great big hug as I enjoyed fellowship with my love ones eating great food and laughing so much! Thank you to the beautiful Nicole and her entire team for making my Birthday Dinner an 100/100.
Indochine had been on my must-visit list for a long time, and I finally had the opportunity to go. I absolutely loved the decor, and the attractive waitstaff provided impeccable service. The food was delicious—from the cocktail to the appetizers and the entrée, everything was enjoyable. The wine options did not impress me. And yes it get pretty loud but hey! Its New York I had to skip dessert, but I'm not particularly fond of dessert options anyway.
The food, the vibe, the models that work there, it was a great experience. The ladies are all so beautiful and truly look like and are models. The food the food was tasty, just the right amount of salt, tang, sweetness, crunch, it just invogorates all your taste buds. Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed it. The testy is decorated so lovely feels like your somewhere in the tropics with the warm and inviting atmosphere. My first time was surprising our brother for his birthday, we absolutely loved this place everything about it. Not a city girl but I’d and when I return I definitely have to go have another meal here. Thank you very much for your hospitality and service!!! Bravo 👏🏽
Phenomenal food and excellent service ! The ambiance was charming and the interior was very pretty. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the spring rolls and sea bass which was perfectly seasoned. I really enjoyed all the different flavors and spices and had an outstanding experience.
If I could afford to eat here regularly outside of restaurant week, I would! Went here with some friends to try their restaurant week menu and it did not miss. This place is otherwise pricey. The ambiance here is superb. You feel like a famous person in here. All the waitresses are dressed to the nines in black cocktail dresses, they are all so beautiful. I tried some eggplant appetizer dish that was simply divine and I dont even like eggplant like that. Then I had shrimp over some rice and although a simple dish, it was packed pull of flavor. This is a meal I think of often
Apparently this restaurant has been around for more than 30 years but you wouldn’t be able to tell by walking in here, everything still looks cool and fresh! The ambience here, with iconic wallpaper, lots of greenery, and hip music, gives it a 5/5 stars alone, but the food was also up to par and delicious! They also had one of the best outdoor dining set ups I’ve seen in the city. It’s covered and has heaters. The service was attentive and friendly - As a plus everyone working here is stylish AF so it feels like you’re dining with models (but not in a mean/catty way). This is a great spot for a big group - Especially if you have out-of-towners you need to entertain. Every single dish ordered was enjoyed by our big group, but nothing is a stand out dish. I recommend ordering family style and sharing lots of apps entrées.
Amazing service ! Our bartender Greg served us some amazing cocktails, he also had amazing conversation topics! The rest of the staff were amazing too, the atmosphere was cozy and romantic, perfect for couples. However the food wasn’t the most exciting considering the price, we only tried couple dishes so we definitely need to come back and try more!
I thought the food was good not amazing. The service was phenomenal and the ambiance is great. The ravioli, the egg rolls, and the Shaking Beef were superb. However, the fish we got wrapped in banana leaves was maybe one of the most fishy dishes I’ve had in my life. Overall 4 stars and avoid that fish!
For apps, we had beef salad and rock shrimp both of which were great. There was a good amount of beef in the salad and the greens/dressing worked well together. The shrimps were fried lightly, could've been more crunchier but the accompanying sauce paired well. For mains, we had shaken beef, which was tender and flavorful. Seems like that's the most popular dish. We also ordered two sides of sticky rice and that was bland and quite disappointing. We finished it off with a rum cake, which came with ice cream. Not my favorite desert but it was pretty good!
I would hope we were there on an off night. But the flavors are bland bland bland. What may have been an interesting menu 10 yrs ago, isn't anymore. We were too polite to send back the Mezcal cocktail - but it was bad. No balance - all liquor no citrus or sweetener. The white lotus cocktail was too sweet. Our waitress was lovely and everything front of the house was excellent.
Beautiful interior, however the food is nothing special while heavily overpriced. Branzino crudo was way too spicy and heavily dominated by the soy sauce so that the taste of the fish was barely perceivable. Barbecue chicken: although meat was fine the dish itself seems poorly composed, the sauce again being way to dominant. The whole menu seemed to lack the creativity and balancedness appropriate to the price range of this restaurant. Your Vietnamese takeout at the corner might provide more original dishes and better quality. Selection of wine by the glass however remarkably good. Service was friendly.
The worst food in recent years. There was no balance in the taste in any of dishes. Some were extremely salty or too sweet while some meat dishes were dry. One shrimp dish had way too much fish sauce that even one of Chinese friends could not eat considering fish sauce is very common marinade for them. The sparkle water smelled chlorine from faucet water. We had 4 bottles of that and the waitress always brought out the opened bottle which is not norm in restaurants. If anybody reads this, watch out for that. I did not mention that at the table but my friends brought up that the next day. The waitress was sweet but she did not know how to serve the wine. Considering it is not top notch restaurant but it still bothered me. The coat check experience was the best finale. They could not locate our coats even with the ticket that the girl had to do back and forth 3 times bringing out someone else’s coats. What if we claimed those are ours and left??? I would never go back to the place. The only thing i was satisfied was the wine. Pretty decent taste at decent price!
