Possibly the best rolls and fries combo ever! I had the spicy chicken roll and I dipped it into both the maple syrup and kolachi sauce and it was hella magical. The diesel fries with maple syrup are something else too. I wish they played music in the spot but other than that, definitely a place I’d drag all my friends to for a chill hangout and affordable food <3
I did not expect the chicken garlic mayo paratha roll to be THIS good 🥹 the paratha had a nice flaky texture and the chicken was super tasty. I also got the diesel fries, which were amazing paired with maple syrup. Would totally recommend!
Was in the mood for a savory small bite and this place delivered!! I got the spicy chicken garlic mayo wrap as recommended by the very friendly maitre D and it ticked all the boxes. Tangy mayo, spicy sauce, chicken juicy, crunch from onions and outside wrap very satisfying flaky pastry. If you are hungrier order more - if not 1 roll was perfect!
I never thought I would be trying Pakistani cuisine, but here we are and I have no regrets whatsoever! This place is a hidden gem in East Village with a straight to the point menu. I ended up getting the Chicken Roll, Beef Roll, Spicy Chicken Garlic Mayo Roll, Spicy Chicken Roll, and the Diesel Fries. The Kolachi sauce adds a perfect touch to every roll making it light and refreshing due to the yogurt base. I paired the Diesel Fries with Maple Syrup and I was not expecting it to be one of my favorites! The Middle Eastern spices on the fries combined with the sweetness of the maple made my tastebuds dance LOL This place is perfect for NYC people who like to eat on the go. Out of this world customer service, super fast wait times, and flavorful food; what more could you want???
I tried the plant-based chicken roll with fries and it was so good! The portion size was perfect and super filling, and I really appreciated having a solid plant-based option. The fries were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of flavor. On top of that, the woman at the register was incredibly kind. Will definitely be back!
Kolachi was absolutely delicious. I ordered the spicy chicken roll with diesel fries, my mom ordered plant based chicken roll with diesel fries and the flavor was on point. As someone who genuinely loves spicy food, I was impressed by how perfectly balanced the heat was. It was bold, flavorful, and just the right amount of spice without being overwhelming. We also got maple syrup on the side and WOW! Mixing sweet with spicy was something I never knew I NEEDED! Everything was well-seasoned and satisfying! Every bite hit. Kolachi definitely delivered exactly what I needed them to!
So yummy. I loved the seasoning on the fries; it was also a unique combination of flavors when eaten with the maple syrup dipping sauce. I liked that they had a bit of spice without being too overpowering. I tried both the beef and the chicken paratha rolls. They were delicious but the chicken was my favorite by far. The staff was also great and very friendly. I can see myself stopping by again after a night out in the area.
I'll be completely honest with you. I like to consider myself a diverse person, but despite that l'll be the first to admit that l've never tried Pakistani food. I didn't even know what a Paratha Roll was until today. (It's kinda like a Shawarma, but it's a flatbread that's wrapped around beef, chicken, or vegetarian deliciousness.) I had the Chicken Garlic Mayo Roll and the Beef Roll. If you asked me which was better, I honestly couldn't tell you. Maybe the Mayo Roll because I love when my rolls/wraps are dripping. The rolls were well seasoned as were the fries. Though I will say the fries are kinda spicy. The place itself was simple and clean. Sometimes it's the hidden gems or places you just stumble upon that have the best food!
I visited yesterday and I am a tourist okay, so I don't know much. I went out of my way to get here because I wanted halal food and I'm from Pakistan so why not? The place lacked any sort of service or friendliness. The one guy working looked pizzed and didn't even reply to the stuff I was asking him, he did it yes but atleast acknowledge me. I ordered one roll and it was okay but nothing I would go back for. The fryer was fuming steam the entire time I was there too & no one ordered besides me the entire time I was there. Burning oil, and as a person who works in food you're just being lazy to not turn it on later.... in return wasting gas and precious oil. By the time I was done eating 2 more staff members came and walked in... no customers though. Only me, I hope they get it figured out and next year when I'm back in nyc I'll visit to maybe update this if it's any different. I was upset,
This place use to be my family's favorite but last two times were horrible, specially today's takeout. There was only one guy working in the kitchen and the same person was serving. Chicken Mayo Garlic Rolls were disaster. They burned the hell out of the chicken. I bought 3 chicken rolls and 3 beef rolls. All of them were burned black. It was like if you're eating straight up charcoal and was really bitter and dry. I had 2 bites and felt sick. Mistakes can happen specially when you're by yourself and have to fulfill a few orders but istead of fixing it and making a new ones, why would you serve the same to the customer who paid for it with high expectations. It's not right. I tried calling them and the phone is going to the voicemail. I don't think we're coming back again. You guys just lost a loyal customer. Really disappointed.
