👍 Ladies and Gentlemen the food is quality yet expensive however it's worth every penny -- Please don't listen to the fake reviews that the food sucks etc and who cares if the people working there are rude or talkative big freaking deal and I don't blame them dealing with difficult people ... Anyhow It's about the food you silly Bee 🐝 ... Highly Recommend 😁
I have to say this was my first time ordering out from this Restaurant -- You want quality this is the place ( Beef Ribs and Skirt Steak ) with a side each was perhaps one of the best plates I ever tasted in any place .... Pricey but Worth every penny --- Highly Recommend ... Who cares if staff don't talk or there rude as long as the food taste good👍
This restaurant is a staple for Cuban cooking in Hudson County. If you want the best churrasco (skirt steak) this is the place to go to. They have great specials as well. If you're keto / low carb, they have a lot of meat choices too. There's a lot of delicious pre-cooked selections to choose from for the best "fast food" available.
Las Palmas is a great choice for a date or a night out if you’re in the mood for classic Cuban food done well. The steaks are the standout—especially the churrasco—which comes out hot, flavorful, and cooked exactly as ordered, and the tostones are crisp and addictive. Service is fast and genuinely friendly, even when the place is busy, and the energy gives it a lively but comfortable feel. Portions are generous, prices are fair for the quality, and the overall experience feels polished without being stuffy. Definitely a solid spot to come back to and easy to recommend.
My boyfriend brought me here twice and both times were a hit. He always gets the churasco, which comes on a sizzling plate. (A whole production but it’s honestly delicious.) He always gives me a few pieces since it honestly could be a shareable for 2 people. Try dipping it in their sauces that they provide (3 flavors) once you sit down. I always get the chicken! This time I got the beef stew chicken and it was bomb. (A good amount of chicken and it was flavorful.) We also tried a side of Yuca fries. My first time having yuca that way and I eff with it. Bill came up to like $150 with tip included. Don’t quote me tho, my ngga paid, not me.
Everything from the hospitality to the food was wonderful. Succulent meats, vibrant sauces, and delicious drinks. We were so satisfied when we left. Their staff is top notch. Great service model: Everyone assists with whatever table that needs it. Great rhythm. Never felt unseen.
First time visiting this place. We were a group of 14. Cindy was the main waitress attending us and she was awesome. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was very full. We ordered different plates: their specialty is skirt steak 🥩 with shrimp 🍤 and it was delicious. Also ordered veal, wings, shredded beef (vaca frita), sweet plantains, arroz congrí, fried plantains (tostones) and fries. They have my favorite: freshly squeezed orange juice. They have a variety of drinks and smoothies. The desserts were yummy: tres leches cake and flan 🍮.
Came here with a large group of my coworkers and some family. We came on a Friday night so it was SUPER packed, but we reserved a table so we didn't have to wait to be seated. Our food took a little while to come out, but considering how full the place was, it wasn't unexpected. Everyone really enjoyed their food and drinks, and our servers were great. Will have to come back again.
Another fine Cuban restaurant on the Bergenline strip. Would have given it five stars if not for the food being a little bit on the cold side. We had the Ropa Vieja and the Pernil, both were fresh and properly seasoned and cooked. The accompanying moro rice and black beans were excellent. My only complaint is that all of our dishes could have been hotter, my guess is that their freshly made item are placed in steam tables that are near the door and on cold days like this day was, any food on top will get cold quickly. Nonetheless we enjoyed the food and friendly service and look forward to returning if they can keep the food warm.
If you're craving an Cuban meal without breaking the bank, Las Palmas might just be the place to go. Situated in a bustling area, the restaurant offers a solid Cuban dining experience, with great food. The prices here are reasonable for the portion sizes, and you definitely get your money’s worth. While the food shines, the service is a bit of a mixed bag. The staff is friendly, but it can be hard to get their attention. Finding parking is another challenge. The restaurant is located in a busy area with limited street parking, and the small lot it does have is often full. Be prepared to circle the block or park further away and walk. If you're willing to deal with some service delays and parking difficulties, Las Plamas offers a great Cuban meal at a reasonable price. The food is authentic and flavorful, and you'll leave satisfied. Just be prepared to possibly be a little patient when it comes to service and parking.
The first time I went to Las Palmas was last week and the food was pretty good. I was so impressed that I decided to order carryout today. Big mistake. The chicken smell terrible and was unedible . The fried chicken was hard as a rock. The mashed potato, chicken soup and plantain were good. Waste of money, never again
We dined in only 2 of us, when we first get into the restaurant the server told us that we could pay cash only because the credit card machine are not working and pointed to the ATM machine that they have inside the restaurant. We agreed to pay cash, Food is good, the server is actually friendly. The bill is 114$ but we got charged gratuity 18% to 134$ which we are not happy about that.I told the server that they not supposed to add gratuity and we always give a good tips. This is the first time that we got added gratuity into our bill that we both very upset. We traveled from west NJ 1.30 hr away.
I’ve dined at this restaurant twice now and unfortunately had the same server both times, a man in his mid-40s to early 50s with a slight black scruffy beard. Both visits he got the temperature/doneness of our meat dishes completely wrong, even though we were clear with our requests. On top of that, he always seems overloaded with other tables and forgets about us, so our group constantly has to wave or signal to get his attention. Last time, he took our orders, dropped the food off (with help from another staff member), and then we never saw him again, not once. No check-in to ask if everything was okay, if the food was good, or if we wanted drink refills. We felt completely ignored the entire meal. The place has a nice vibe and the food has potential when it’s cooked right, but this level of inattentive service really ruins the experience. Management should look into this. Won’t be rushing back until the service improves
I have to say that this was maybe my fourth time going here and I won’t be going back. The service is always great but not the food anymore. But the cherry on top was getting stopped because I didn’t give the SUGGEST ridiculous tip amount was completely unacceptable . You guys lost a loyal customer.
I would give it 0 stars if I could. I don’t understand how positive some of these reviews are, they must be fake. We ordered short ribs, they were hard to chew and had no flavor, even when I added table salt to it. The mashed potatoes taste like instant powder, horrible! The Cuban sandwich was dry. The avocado salad is ridiculously overpriced for what it is. They don’t even offer tap water, they charge you bottled water if you order water. The only good thing was the chicharrón. Other than that, don’t waste your money on this place.
Visited on 7/9 – Disappointed Experience I came to Palma today (7/9) for the first time, excited to try some Latin food in the area. I ordered mofongo with chicharrón and moro rice. Unfortunately, everything on the plate—including the rice—was not only dry but tasted like it had been reheated. It looked and felt old. A young lady passed by and kindly offered to swap the plate with no problem, which I appreciated. However, the server denied the request and instead said the best they could do was take it to the back, throw some salsa on it, and smash it down so it wouldn’t be dry. That was disappointing. I paid my full bill because I don’t like making a scene, but I left both hungry and disappointed. Sadly, not the welcome I hoped for on my first visit.
