Food was delicious and flavorful! We especially love braised beef ribs and whipped white fish toast.
Forgot how wonderful Gottino is! Currently out in the back enjoying the beautiful weather with AMAZING crostini and a bottle of Rosè. Heaven!
THANK YOU JOSH FOR BEING SUCH A NICE SOUL. We loved our romantic evening and your beautiful manners 🫶🏼
Have been trying to find an authentic Italian wine bar after coming back from Italy & this one is perfect. Cutest backyard with very chill vibe. Great wines on the menu as well as apperetivo. Lasagna was awesome & so was the prosciutto crepe. Judy was very knowledgeable about the wine menu, can’t wait to come back!!
super cute. such reasonable prices and lovely vibe. great food and not too busy! go here if you want to have a calm night and escape the city’s chaos and too busy restaurants. wine, olives and cheese with a book is great here on a wednesday.
Highly recommend this cosy and very intimate place, for drinks and a chill time with your friends or partner. The staff is super sweet and professional, they will make you feel at home. Food is delicious the lasagne and crespelle were my favs!
Great wine bar in the area ! They have an outdoor garden where you have a quieter ambiance. Great selection of wine.
Loved all the small plates! unique, tasty and the back garden is super cozy. Don’t miss the pesto bruschettas!
Truly some of the best small plates in NYC. Fantastic wine selection and incredible guidance from the staff regarding pairings. Definitely try the ricotta and figs, and their prosciutto is sliced fresh in front of you and is worth every penny. Great date spot, or place to share a bunch of tasty dishes with a group of friends.
Came to read a book and have some Italian food. Was a lovely single person night out.
Everything about Gottino is perfect - the food, the wine, the Josh (the guy, not the wine) … but don’t go. Because then it will be crowded and not our home from home in NYC. (No, do go. It’s absolutely brilliant.)
Super nice little wine bar, great atmosphere for a couple
Cozy, candle lit bar, with the most delicious mulled wine for fall/winter. We love it here!
small but nice please I love to come back again the wine and food delicious
This is a lovely, cozy restaurant that doesn’t have to work hard at all to make you think you’re in Paris. That works for me, and in addition to that, the food and the service are excellent. We’ve never had anything we wouldn’t get again. We generally start with the bread service, which there is a charge for, but you get plenty of bread (and four different kinds!) The cocktails are generous and well made, and the food arrives hot, well-prepared and tasty (and there’s plenty of it, if you’re splitting.) We’ve had the same waitress several times (Stefanie) and the same runners/busboys as well. Stefanie remembered our drink preference even thought it had been a few months, and stopped by to check on us the perfect amount of times. Tiff, the manager, also stops by to check on service and food. The runner really seems to want us to enjoy our meal, which is lovely, and he even remembered a nut allergy from a previous visit, which was amazing. This is a great night out in the Village; it’s not loud, and everything you want to be there, is there. Plus, it’s on inKind, if that’s your thing.
Really enjoyed! French onion: Unique taste, esp with the cheese & bread Beet salad: Solid mix Brazino: Crazy crust. No bone. Tender meat Dessert: Can’t miss! Profiteroles hit Service: Evelina was great Vibe: Groovy music, low lit French cafe w/ candles & plants Happy hour: 4-6pm for drinks & seafood
Fantastic place. Service was fast and lovely. Food is pricey but normal for this area of Manhattan. Great dishes very rustic and authentic vibe, the BTG wines are fine but nothing super special. The architecture and look of the dining room is excellent.only note is that they have a beautiful image of Brigitte Bardot in the restroom which is a controversial choice
We came here for New Year’s Eve dinner and it was amazing. Great ambiance and Service. Food was delicious. We especially loved the escargot and the duck l’orange. Our waitress was so cute- she gave us complementary champagne for my birthday and wrote personalized notes! 10 out of 10 definitely recommend
Went for the Christmas Dinner special, it's worth it! Everything was hot when served. The onion soup was the best I have eaten, and I do not like onion soup. The pasta with mushrooms was my favorite, the sauce was so creamy and it had a lot of mushrooms! The beef was super tender with a tantalizing flavor. The glazed carrots with the truffle sauce 😍. From the dessert my favorite was the poached pear,(just because I do not like chocolate cakes) The pear had little pieces of candied orange which was a nice surprise. The ambiance of the place is a mixture of cozy and sultry, which is great for a date or a family outing. The employees were professional and welcoming. I also recomend the passion fruit cocktail. Definitely comming back when in the area.
This place was amazing!! The service was top tier and everything we ordered was incredible. It’s so cute and beautiful inside and out. They even have super fun cocktails. Some are regular cocktails but with their own spin and some are uniquely crafted by them. I can’t wait to go back. But their seafood tower and branzino were perfection!! We have Evelina as a server and she was the BEST!!! She was the absolute sweetest and didn’t steer us wrong with any of her recommendations! Everything she recommended was amazing!
My wife and I are on vacation in NYC and we stumbled into this place waiting for the Village Vanguard show to start and we are so glad we did. From the minute we walked in, everything was top notch. The host seated us right away at the bar even though we didn’t have reservations. Julian, one of the bartenders, took amazing care of us. He gave my wife the excess of a cocktail he had made for a taste test and she loved it so we ordered one. We had the chef’s choice cheese board for an app and shared a NY strip with fries for the main. The steak was cooked perfectly and the beef was great quality. It was seasoned perfectly, not over done to take away from the beef flavor, and it had a great lightly smoked flavor from the grill. There was a sauce on the plate with the steak that gave it a great umami flavor. The fries were so good. Light and crispy, very similar to a McDonald’s type fry, but piping hot and cooked perfectly. They also had an aioli sauce that came with them that was so flavorful and fresh. As we were wrapping up eating our meal, the manager, or owner, came over and let us know dessert and some wine was going to be on him for the delay on our steak. Honestly, we didn’t even notice a huge delay. There was maybe 15 minutes after we finished our cheese board before our steak and fries were sent out. The crème brûlée was fresh, creamy, and light with a perfect flavor. It was a great way to end our meal. The fact that the dessert and wine was comped was a great touch to an already stellar experience. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the food here. The best meal and service we’ve had in NYC and probably anywhere else. They were also doing a toy drive for their neighborhood and giving toys away to charities. Do not miss this restaurant! If you are in Greenwich Village/West Village, stop in and have one of the best dining experiences of your life!
We dined here for my friends birthday and it was so beyond lovely. They brought us all a champagne toast for the birthday girl! The cocktails are so creative and I loved both the ones I tried. We got little apps for snacking and every one was so delish. The wagyu tartare was AMAZING. Everything was gorgeous inside, down to the glasses. My cocktail came in a seashell and I’m obsessed. I wanna come back here for sure. Our server was so lovely … Estephanie thank you ! Tiff was a lovely host as well and Tristian was a fantastic and friendly bartender. 10/10 birthday celebration thanks to the staff and ambiance!!!
Beautiful little spot that an old friend and I happened to stumble upon, and were so happy that we did! The service was fantastic, genuinely kind people who wanted to connect. We shared the cheese board, which we both found to be very generous for its price. Both the drinks menu and food looked fantastic and would love to come back to try out some other things. Our server Evelina was so sweet, highly recommend!
We went for brunch and the entire place is a cozy and delightful; the food is very taste, the texture and presentation is great. But the extra point is the hospitality, they really know what that means. The whole staff makes you feel special. Specially thanks to our server Steffy and the manager in charge Tiff, we definitely coming back.
rare to find a spot in nyc that feels this warm— not just in the food, but in the people working there. our waiters made the night feel personal, like we were old friends! every dish was flawless, but the wagyu tartare? unreal. crepes for dessert felt like home, cocktails— crafted, not mixed. you can taste the intention in every sip. a place with soul, and that’s rare in nyc, thank you so much, can’t wait to come back again
Last week I went to dinner at Le Petit Village and I'm still thinking about it. It felt like a little escape to France in the heart of the West Village. The cozy, candlelit setting was the perfect backdrop for a five-course tasting menu experience with French wine pairings guided by a guest expert sommelier. The Poached Halibut with asparagus and caviar was light and elegant (my favorite), while the Wild Mushroom Ragu with truffle was deep and comforting. The Duck à L’Orange featured Hudson Valley Rohan duck breast cooked perfectly, with crisp skin and a touch of citrus that tied it all together. Usually, I don't like duck but this I would go back for 10 times over. Dessert was a highlight: Vanilla Bean Custard with raspberries and shiso, paired with a golden glass of La Reserve du Baron Sauternes that ended the evening on a luxurious note. Le Petit Village captures the spirit of a Parisian dinner party right in the West Village, with refined flavors, warm service, and a sense of old-world charm that lingers long after the last sip.
Really this wonderful place is further elevated by its SERVICE. We can’t say enough about Gray—our server—who made us feel at home with our party of 7 visiting from San Francisco. We loved him. He was so attentive and helpful. The food was perfect. The steak frites are a tourist favorite but are exquisite. The upstairs dining is great for private parties and hearing impaired. They even lowered the music volume for my poor mother who is deaf in the ear. Did I mention our server Grey / Gray was an absolute asset? We are so impressed with his attention to detail and fantastic drink and food recs.
Literally feels like a slice of Paris in NYC. Perfect sidewalk views, gorgeous interior. The service is amazing as well. Patricia was our server and made us feel so warm, welcome and took really good care of us! Possibly best omelette I’ve ever eaten? Wow. I will be coming back for brunch over and over! Also love that you can choose your portion sizes. - very happy customer 😊
Delightful village gem - hope this is here for a long time to come. Stopped in here on a Sunday evening and we were impressed with the sunlit romantic vibes, creative cocktail menu, and delicious food. Yulia was a delightful and gave excellent recommendations for cocktails based on my typical herbal and bitter preferences - I thoroughly enjoyed Le Fleur Blanche and the Balade en Foret. We shared the beet salad (fresh and well balanced), lamb chops on Yulia’s recommendation (excellent flavor, tender, and perfectly seasoned and cooked!), the pappardelle (al dente perfection), and the branzino (another Yulia recommendation and it was perfectly light and flavorful, and I’m not much of a branzino gal). Ended up having fries for dessert, which were also perfect :) Overall we had a lovely evening and meal and would definitely go back!
First time visiting Le Petit Village and I absolutely loved it. I had been wanting to check it out, and it did not disappoint! The decor and music set the perfect vibe. The host was super friendly, and the bartender who served me was lovely. I had two glasses of rosé and tried the Le Petit Burger—so good! Highly recommend this spot, 100%.
My experience at Gottino was very good. It’s a great place to have a conversation — calm, charming, and perfect for a date. It’s not noisy, which makes it even more enjoyable. This bar serves only beer and wine (no cocktails). We ordered some olives with our drinks, which were nice. I recommend it if you’re looking for a chill, quiet spot to have a drink before dinner. Prices are “normal” for NYC, though a bit on the expensive side.
Delicious Italian small plates in a cozy West Village spot. We came in on a Sunday night for dinner and got a table for 3 people without any problem. We tried 2 crostinis, the white fish and the brussel sprouts salad. We particularly enjoyed the crostinis. The staff was so friendly. Looking forward to coming back and sitting in the garden!
Stumbled across this place before a dinner reservation for a quick drink. A lovely dark intimate feel, cant wait to come back with my husband or small group of friends to try the food.
Cute space and a friendly staff. If your like Italian wine you’ll love it here. I was surprised to see they have a little outdoor space in the back. Great place for a date or a girls night.
New spot in a prime West Village location with a really beautiful interior — two floors (though the second floor isn’t always open). We came here for brunch and the food was decent, nothing extraordinary but enjoyable. The vibe and decor are definitely the highlights, super cute and stylish. They also have a nice bar, so it’s a great place to grab a drink and hang out. Worth checking out for the atmosphere!
I went here to celebrate a friend and we had a private room. Our servers were AMAZING very professional. We had a prefix menu. I had shrimp cocktail, medium-well done steak and fries (soo good), and for desert, raspberry/lemonade sorbet. The cranberry juice was tasty too! My favorite part? The ambiance and aesthetics of this restaurant. You could get a picture from anywhere inside or outside (even in the restroom!) The decor and design is top notch!!
This is a cute place, but the experience was ruined by lack of service. As soon as we walked in the host/waitress seemed annoyed to greet or seat us even though the restaurant was 80% empty. She was rude throughout the entire service, she clearly didn’t want to be there. On top of that their payment systems starts the tip setting at 20%. I should be tipping minimum 20% for non-existent scornful service? The food and wine is delicious. The crostini and the crepes were super tasty. This place needs to improve their service if they want patrons back.
So unpleasant experience. I went to celebrate my friend's birthday 5 people, we were waiting for the previous clients to leave so we can sit on a table, then suddenly another woman sits right away claiming that it was her birthday and that she and her friends will be sitting there. None of the waiters step in to solve the inconvenience; one waitress stopped by and asked us to move to another table without enough space to sit. They never listened to us or made anything to understand and come with a solution. I will never go again, and I do believe the staff is completely unhelpful and useless.
