First and foremost, I have to say I’m a little late to writing this review—but if anything, that speaks volumes. Even after some time has passed, this experience has stayed on my mind. Visit date: 01/18/26 A special thank you to our bartender Ivy, and to the team—Chris, Sam, and Steven—who truly made the night memorable. It was crowded, freezing outside, and the bar was buzzing, yet they did an incredible job attending to everyone, including my friend and me, without ever making it feel rushed or impersonal. I ordered an espresso martini, and Ivy took the time to explain how she could make it—exceptional cocktail, even better conversation. Thank you for letting us substitute tequila! The bar itself was spotless and impressively organized given how busy it was, which I can only imagine is no easy task. Every person I mentioned was welcoming, chatty, and delivered hospitality at the highest level. In a city as big as this, with endless options, if you find yourself at Little Branch, you can count on great music, well-crafted cocktails, and genuinely thoughtful, personal service. Thank you all truly! I cant wait to find myself back here again!
My friends and I had our first time here and it was an absolute pleasure ! We came on a Sunday night and by surprise it was a live jazz band! The bartender and drinks were very good and I enjoyed the overall experience ! 10/10 recommendation.
What an awesome find! Such a cool bar! So fun! I won't add photos because it doesn't adequately capture the super dark speakeasy vibe 😁 great cocktails too!
Speakeasy-like bar with super knowledgeable bartenders. It’s dark and downstairs, so it feels like a secret location. Nice selection of cocktails, but what really stands out is their ability to find your perfect cocktail - after a couple of questions I was given a drink with flavors I love that was strong but not overpowering, and quite well balanced.
Read a decade old reddit AMA by the owner of this place and found it when I visited Manhattan. Amazing place. Love the speakeasy. Drinks are fantastic and delicious. Music is not too loud. The space gets a bit loud as people get drunk but then the more alcohol drowns it all out. Kudos to this place.
Came here around 9:30pm on a Friday and was able to get in without a wait. They have a downstairs area, which is louder and more busy and a street level speak easy type of bar that is more intimate and quieter. We were able to get a table at the street level bar and were very happy with the service. If you are looking for non-alcoholic options, they have multiple fresh juices available.
We walked in on a Friday ~5:15pm without a reservation and were happy to score two janky stools by the door. Cool. Dark. Well worn. Really felt like a speakeasy. Someone was late for their shift, so a lone bartendar was working extra quick/hard to serve everyone until help arrived. Our cocktails were excellent!
We were able to walk in a few minutes after 6pm on a Friday, and were surprised to find the place empty (perhaps since it was a beautiful evening, and sitting underground in the dark wasn't as appealing at that hour). We were given a booth adjacent to the bar, and selected from a menu of both cocktail classics and unique house twists on several common drinks. We enjoyed both the Bee's Knees and Sea Way No. 2. The front area of the was set up for a jazz band later that night, which would be fun to go back and experience. Overall, a cool speakeasy setting with good drinks and ambiance.
LB might be one of the best speakeasy’s in the city. It’s the last thing you’d expect when looking at the entrance, but you are blown away once you walk down to the basement. It’s super cozy and intimate. Perfect for a date or a few cocktails with friends. My girlfriend and I took her parents here when they were in town and they loved it. There’s live music during the week and a lot more space than I expected. The cocktails were incredible!
i think this place would be more enjoyable not after hours on a friday. we came at like 11pm and it was pretty packed but only waited maybe 30 min for a table. the drinks were decent and they had allllll the classics - i really liked the nevada but not really the paloma. the table seating area was very intimate and nice though. service was also extremelyyyyyy fast.
Such a cute spot for date night! The drinks were great and the service was super friendly. 4/5 stars because it was a tad loud so it is hard to talk, but the vibe overall is good.
Great service. Very dim lighting—watch your step. Unfortunately the top shelf vodka is Tito’s. Could use more variety in this category. The waitstaff, however, were top shelf!
The atmosphere and environment was nice. I liked the cocktail. Just don't choose it if you are going on a date with yourself. 💔 I went shortly after the opening that day and there was only one other table occupied. Despite this, I sat on the bar stool. They didn't want me to sit at the table…
Didn’t catch the vibe here at all. it is supposed to be a cocktail bar, but feels more like a basement dive bar. Very poorly looking back bar, cramped on a weekend day and mediocre cocktails… The sitting area has a long waitlist (~1h for a walkin) Also the layout felt weird. Really more like someone’s basement and not an actual cocktail bar
First of all, THE 5 STARS FOR SERVICE ARE ONLY FOR KSENIJA! She stepped in to take such good and efficient care of my friend and I after we were repeatedly skipped over, ignored, and condescended to by the bearded bartender with a manbun. Just go bald with dignity, my man. I’ve been visiting Little Branch since at least 2010, and I’m sad to say that it’s no longer the vibrant, cozy, innovative cocktail bar it once was. It used to be that no one was admitted entry unless there was an available seat/table or unimpeded bar or counter space for the entire party, but now it appears to operate as a free-for-all for obnoxious 20-somethings with no spatial awareness or bar etiquette. While Ksenija made my friend and I some beautiful cocktails to order, the current bar program is a sad, derivative amalgamation of whatever “classic cocktails” can be passed off using the lowest quality liquors available. The house cocktails are just not good: what happened to the beautiful selection of Haitian rums for sipping, or the excellent liqueurs and shrubs that once built up such exciting new cocktails? This Little Branch is a depressingly grubby shell of its former self, and I won’t be returning. Thank you so much, Ksenija, for trying your best to recreate the Little Branch that once was, even while the bar was slammed and you appeared to be the only one responding to the absurd volume of patrons with any kind of urgency! Oh, and let me note: the door person seated a party of 5 or 6 behind us first, and never even offered us the chance to wait for a table. I guess Black and brown folks aren’t allowed the option to enjoy their cocktails while seated? Who knows!
