From the moment you get in, Brianna greets you with the best smile, the hostesses here are helpful & so accommodating! Then you get seated... and wow! Rodrigo was amazinly knowledgeable and full of suggestions!! I came with my puppers who ended up having 3 plates and a dessert!! There's this cute little French bistro in the Chelsea neighborhood that's got great food at reasonable prices. I went there with my wife, and the vibe is chill and romantic. Plus, the staff is super chill and on point.

Ten out of Ten. Top Notch. From appetizer to dessert, this was indeed a culinary experience. First, let's talk about the mushroom, truffle flatbread. Your taste buds will be invigorated. It's so good...so filling...so delightful and just a teaser for what the rest of your meal will be like. I had the Vichyssoise soup as well. Perfect! First time having it and, trust me, it won't be my last. It had the perfect balance of ingredients, savory and wholesome. My main course were the lamb chops that were grilled to the utmost perfection and topped with a spicy tomato puree of some sort. Lol. Not the best at describing food, but to put it simply, it was highly enjoyable. I had two "kiss & tell" cocktails that were very nice as well and ended my meal with an apple tart and a bit of ice cream. In a city with so many dining choices Lou Lou's was one of the best--if not the best, dining out experience I've had in a very long time. As the Terminator once said, I will be back...again...again...and again as long as they keep serving up these tasty delights.

Everything was delicious. Our waitress, Tahiri, gave us the best experience and took exceptional care of us. We went with my canine nephew, and they treated him like any other customer! Finally tried this place as I organized a friend's birthday brunch last Saturday. Beautiful restaurant, the decor, the vibe, especially when it's a bright sunny day. We had one of the larger best tables indoors as I requested for a good table. Slater attended to us and he was friendly and took good care of our group. Most of our group had the steak and eggs combo which also came with fries. Pretty good but everyone immediately commented on such small portions compare to other brunch places. Taste was good though. As for me, I went for the burger that day thankfully and it was delicious. The cocktails were good and loved their presentation, I had Fire Bird which was tequila based and was refreshing! For dessert, we order Creme brulee which was nice but the real star of the show was the Croissant Pudding. We almost wanted to order another one but restrained ourselves lol. Overall bill was $433. Definitely not cheap, but worth trying. Looking forward to going back for dinner. Merci, LOULOU.

We stumbled upon Loulou when looking for a pre-theater dinner. Conveniently located right across the street from The Joyce Theater, we decided to check it out and have not been disappointed! Went for a light dinner - mussels, lamb chops and a drink. The meat was cooked to perfection - medium rare was just that. Melt in your mouth chops tasted as good as they looked. Mussels were meaty, in a spicy broth, they'll be perfect on a cold winter evening next time we visit. I ordered Black Magic as my drink and it did not disappoint. Perfectly balanced, boozy just enough to enjoy a couple of those. And presentation was on point. I have been recommending LOULOU to all my friend now. Not sure why I have not visited this gem before. Cozy setting. Friendly staff. Delicious food. What else can one ask for?

You know how 90% of the time you order the cute drink & it’s awful….? This is the 10% I was shocked when the drinks were pretty tasty. The staff was friendly & welcoming. If it’s nice definitely sit outdoors, as it’s more private with very cute aesthetics. French onion soup was good, you can absolutely taste that the Gruyère is fresh!

Had a great time the other day when I went on a first date. I arrived first and the girl by the door was really helpful. They have really comfortable atmosphere and it smells like delicious food while still not leaving a lingering smell on your clothes. I don't drink alcohol so we requested a special non alcoholic juice mix which they brought into this cute little mouse glass 🐀 My date got a cocktail which was pretty strong so worth the $$. We ordered East side(unsure about the terminology) Oysters and they were the best I've tried in NYC so far. They tasted like good oysters and not like a fish tank. If you know you know. Then we proceeded with steaks for both and ratatouille to share. The grilled bread tasted like some old super experienced granny made it in her traditional oven. Needles to say we left our fries and had no space for dessert! A cute fact, they have dog food options on the menu which is super adorable. If I lived here and had a puppy I'd be there all the time! 🥹 Extra points for their nicely decorated clean toilets.

I give this place 5 stars! It was absolutely beautiful, the food was amazing, and they even have a dog menu for pups. I can't recommend it enough—it’s definitely a must-try spot. We went for dinner, and I had the French onion soup, which was delicious, along with the braised short rib. I would rate it a 10 out of 10! I will definitely be back with my dogs. You should check out the steak meal they offer for dogs too!

This is our second time to this restaurant and the food is really so very delicious and the service is great! This time we had Rifat J and he was awesome :-) Both times my husband and I have shared the ribeye for two and it is SO good and for the second time I did not get a picture of it lol. However, my daughter did get a picture of her Margherita pizza and the shrimp cocktail. Actually, in the picture of her pizza, you can see the creamy potatoes that come with the ribeye :-)

Such a cool place. I can’t imagine anything on their menu isn’t fantastic. I had the steak and eggs, Daily Green drink, croissant pudding and everything was great. Kudos to the bar keeper. Tahiri was awesome, and help make this a real cool spot. We’ll be back.

Had such great experience here! Have been before for the croissant French toast which is a must try if you’re looking for a good brunch spot on the weekend. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food came out pretty quick even though it was starting to get busy when we came in. The drink was delicious and perfect for the season. The oysters were fresh and the steak tartare was also a great dish. The only thing missing from my steak tartare is if it had cornichons or capers on it as I like the bit of sour in the mix with the tartare to give it more depth. Other than that, everything was perfect! Definitely recommend and will be back again!

My least favorite was the artichoke because it didn't have much flavor but I still enjoyed it. Overall, this restaurant is a must try! Such a good vibe. We absolutely loved it. Went here for Valentine’s Day today. Service was amazing, Tati was our server. She was bright, friendly, efficient, and guided us to INCREDIBLE menu items. Atmosphere was great; warm wood, kind lighting, healthy plants, and catchy music at the perfect volume. Drinks and food were absolute perfection. Exquisite balance and presentation! Portions were reasonable, not modest but not overwhelming. Would absolutely come back here again.

Three years later, we enjoyed omakase at a different restaurant nearby and revisited this bar with the colorful drinks and fun drink glasses shaped like birds and pigs! Loulou is one of the most amazing restaurants I’ve been to in a long time I feel like most NYC restaurants have forgot to put effort and quality into the experience and only prioritize aesthetic trends, but LouLou exceeded every expectation. The servers were friendly, outstanding and very attentive. My friend and I brought our small dogs to celebrate a birthday and the staff interacted with them and even gave them treats and made sure we were comfortable. The drinks were 100/10 perfect presentation and taste. Food was great as well and I love that they have a dog menu with dinner and snacks for your fur baby. I don’t have one complaint I will definitely be returning.

Although we hadn't made a reservation, they were very friendly from the moment we arrived and immediately assigned us a table. We ordered cocktails and beer. The onion soup was very good, as was the lamb. We were served by a very friendly and attentive mexican waiter (from Jalisco), who recommended the main courses to us and did not disappoint. It was a very pleasant surprise. I recommend it.

Nothing was super outstanding, but everything was pretty good overall. The French toast was made with croissants, which was unique — though it felt a bit heavy. The vibe was lovely, and most importantly, it’s dog-friendly.

I had a great time here celebrating my best friend’s birthday just the two of us! While the ambiance and food get 5 stars, the service was lacking and so I knock it down to 4 stars. All that said, we really enjoyed ourselves! Here’s how it went: We had the first reservation of the day at 11am on a Thursday and were the only ones in the restaurant for about 20 minutes. We ordered virgin bloody Mary’s as I had to go to work afterwards, and they were very good for virgin bloodys! Packed a punch, lots of flavor, hard on the horseradish (in a good way) which helped compensate for the absence of vodka. We ordered oysters and they were VERY good - which is important because they’re a pretty lil penny here! No grit, very clean, nice presentation. At one point they brought out a half dozen that included an oyster with no actual oyster in it and I pointed it out to the server, who promptly brought us two gorgeous plump oysters to replace the mistake. Nicely done, Lou Lou. The tuna avocado sandwich stood out as one of the best dishes, which surprised me because I didn’t expect it to have such an effect on me. But it was so good I forgot to take a photo! The bread was perfectly toasted/grilled and the flavors all melded so well. Yummmmm. We also ordered the mussels which were very tasty!! Would recommend and look forward to going back for one of their intriguing cocktails.

Soup - excellent with depth of flavour Snapper - flavourful with a zingy broth Bibb - OK very light lemony dressing so not much flavour Cocktails - innovative, appealing and a little gimmicky though at $22-$24 a pop, I would say egregiously priced. “Blueberry mint” crème brûlée - let down. There was not even a hint of blueberry or mint. It was merely a garnish of mint and 2 blueberries. Also the custard was ever so slightly grainy, perhaps split, but we didn’t want to complain as the overall experience was enjoyable. Overall a lovely night, on the pricey side. May visit again

Had a dinner with a big group so we were served a set menu. Starters were delicious, the main I chose was rib-eye with potato puree, which was good but not super memorable. The dessert which was a croissant tart with a caramel sauce and ice cream was delicious and a very generous portion. The staff was very on top of everything and accommodating of the group's requests.

Nice ambiance, the place smelled weird though also on entry and over the course of the evening. The girls at the door weren’t all that polite. But our waited Iggy made up for their subpar treatment. He was kind and all around had a great attitude. As for the food, I had the french onion soup a bit heaving on the worcestershire sauce I tasted it too strongly, I supposed it’s how it’s made idk first time having it outside of a cruise lol definitely different taste. We got the duck leg confit which was well seasoned and cooked well though they could have kept the purée had it been mashed potatoes it would have been a 10/10. My friend ordered the charcuterie board small but she like it for the most part and we shared the Brussel sprouts, a bit spicy but ok not the best. The Mocktail my friend ordered was good as well it was the El Pepino good balance of flavors with a hint of spice. Overall I’d say give it a try.

Nice, down to earth bistro with a good menu of the staples of the French cuisine. I thought onion soup was watery, but my Duck Magret on a bed of herbed wild rice with mushrooms and topped with a wild berry preserve was exquisite. Place is big and attractively decorated with plants and flowers, especially outside. Inside it's a little crowded, noisy and dark. Atmosphere is still homey and warm. Service was very attentive, polite and fast. Dishes are made to order and come hot and fresh, but because of that you'll have to wait a little for them. Compromise I'm willing to take. Overall, Lou Lou is a nice place. Highly recommended.

Great food and drinks, the only thing was that one of the entrées we ordered did not come out for several minutes and so by the time it did, my pasta was cold. Despite the cold pasta, I’ll be thinking about that regularly until I come back and eat it again. The kale salad was tasty but the ratio was a bit off, so would order everything but that again.

The service is great that we feel so welcomed from the second we step in the restaurant. The food is good and we’re impressed that the grill Bronzino is boneless! Bonus is the restaurant is well behaved dogs allowed even indoor. We confirmed with the restaurant in IG before we decided to make the reservation and we definitely will come more often because of this main reason. The music is a bit loud at night that’s a bit hard to chitchat with the ppl sitting far away. We would love to try the brunch as well since they have a different menu.

Taylor served us lunch today and had great recs for drinks and food and was so helpful and provided lovely attentive service. The cocktails and foie gras were delicious and the duck confit was juicy and tender! The escargot and French onion soup were just ok though. But would definitely come back for the cocktails duck and ambiance!

Everything was delicious. Alex was our server and was pleasant and very accommodating. Will return on my next trip to NYc.

Enjoyed our meal here. Was a bit too loud. And actually, even though I like low light, a little too dark. We were older than anyone else in the restaurant. Maybe better for ‘young people’. Yup old fogey here. Rifat was great!

The drinks were creative, flavorful, and strong! If you live in New York City, you appreciate when the drinks actually have alcohol in them! Lamb chops were very tasty. The pomme frites are SIGNIFICANTLY misrepresented on their menu. If you’re OK with bland-basic, great. If not, buyer beware.

Nice spot for lunch. Food was fresh, healthy and delicious. Staff friendly, but not super fast to take orders. Recommend if you have plenty of time to chat with friends, hang out and want a slower paced European vibe, which we did. Went for weekday lunch so not crowded which was great. Seems like a good outdoor weekend brunch option too.

Loulou is a charming bistro & bar that makes for a delightful brunch spot. We visited for Valentine’s brunch and overall had a lovely experience. Our server was warm, candid, and genuinely helpful in guiding us through the menu — always a great start. The cocktails deserve a special mention. The Remy, Bloody Affair, and Daily Green were bold, punchy, and beautifully balanced — easily the highlight of the meal. On the food front, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The French onion soup was hearty and comforting, though the onions and cheese leaned slightly too far into a charred, almost burnt flavor that didn’t quite hit the mark. The croissant French toast was indulgent and crowd-pleasing, but more bready and pancake-like than flaky, with a similar hint of char. Thankfully, the toppings and fresh fruit rounded it out nicely. The Yellowfin tuna sandwich felt fresh and wholesome, though the bread ran a touch dry — you’ll want a sip of your cocktail with every bite (which, to be fair, isn’t the worst problem to have). Overall, Loulou shows plenty of promise. There’s some fine-tuning to be done, but it’s definitely worth a visit — and we’ll be back to explore the lunch, dinner, and live entertainment next time.

I had a mix of good and bad experience. The environment is really nice, especially for friend gathering or a date. The wine was good, but the food is mediocre. The Escargot is so bad, it’s not refresh at all and super small… kale salad is very blend. The only satisfying dish is baked Camembert, I enjoyed the honey flavor mixed in with the cheese.

I was surprised to see multiple (non-service) dogs inside the dining room during our visit. There were three different tables with dogs, and at one point a dog jumped onto the table. The manager did ask for the dog to be taken off the table, which I appreciated, but it then sat on the customer’s lap with its paws on the table! The barking from multiple dogs was also distracting during the meal. I was under the impression that non-service dogs aren’t allowed inside restaurants, so this was unexpected. I want to be clear that I love dogs — this isn’t about being anti-dog — but in an indoor dining setting where food is being served, it took away from the overall experience. That said, the lamb sausage was excellent, the avocado toast was good, the espresso Martini was great and the service was attentive and professional. It’s definitely lively and on the louder side. Good overall, but the indoor dog situation significantly impacted the visit (at least ours).

Restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Nice staff and beautiful space. However, seating is so tight, they fit too many tables into small spaces. Multiple people had to move around to different tables to be comfortable. Next, we ordered a Prosecco. It did not taste like Prosecco and we found out it’s a French sparkling wine. Which is fine by us (we are French) but it showed a lack of attention to detail. Then they tried to serve us the sparkling wine in regular cups. They were not merguez, but rather normal sausages. Not red, not spicy as they should be. They took it back, and I ordered foie gras instead. It was very basic and didn’t wow me in any way. My mom liked the lamb but it had tons of chimichurri sauce overpowered the taste. Very disappointed. I almost never leave bad reviews, but this place left me very dissatisfied. I’m going to go get a slice of pizza now. Nice service though. And pretty decor and outdoor seating area. Update - manager heard our concerns and offered a gesture. This helped a little.

Extremely disappointed with the prices way overpriced for what you get.
