Omgness I love this place. This place is freakin awesome. I am happy they were t too pressed about wears masks :) The location is ok, as if you’re seated outside the view is of passerby’s & loud traffic zooming by. Wasn’t my favorite but the customer service and food was memorable. The decoration is awesome, modern yet with a splash of Latin flare. The customer service was fantastic, the waiters made sure we needed nothing. The food was fantastic, once I saw my drink came out, that presentation blew me away & I knew that the food would be on point. And it was! GO HERE!

We checked out MamaSushi recently. The place itself is really nice & awesome vibe, great music, and a cool setup. Definitely a 10/10 on ambiance. We ordered some of the cooked sushi rolls (our choice), and while they looked good, the taste was just okay, not bad, but nothing that really stood out either. Probably more about our personal preference than anything wrong with the food. Service was solid, friendly and on point. No complaints there. Overall, a fun spot to hang out. We’d come back again, maybe try some different dishes next time.

The food was good but I believe this place is overly hyped. Something’s I felt were a little salty, but the flavors are undeniable. I would definitely return. This place has hookah and gives the energy of a party while sitting. Good music and I loved the drinks.

It is the perfect one-stop spot for hookah food and drinks. The staff were very polite and attentive from beginning to end; the atmosphere was chill good music. Perfect for date night or family night. In door and outdoor seating upon availability. Drinks and food taste really good/flavorful. If you would like Hookah, you have to pay $40 cash (cash only) on the spot; a guy will bring it to your table.. Go on and enjoy :)

This place turns into a horror house at night. Everyone is ordering hookah and smoking it on your face while you’re trying to eat with your family. Definitely not a kid friendly place. Very uncomfortable. Very, very loud. Lunch is fine or take out. Dumplings aren’t great. Expensive sushi. Some dishes are excellent.

We expected more Spanish food options being that it's an Asian/Spanish fusion restaurant but that wasn't the case. It was pretty pricey for just mediocre. Service wasn't the best but the atmosphere was nice. Sadly I wouldn't visit this place again being that it's not my cup of tea with some many other options out here in NYC.

If you love sushi, this is not the place to go unfortunately. We ordered 4 different house rolls: 5 tigers, hot mama, tukulitosakayama, and three amigos. I would say out of those 4, hot mama is decent. The guac and plantains on top of sushi are so bizarre. Miso soup was salty and missing seaweed.

I was really excited to take my friend to this place since I had enjoyed the Dyckman location with my family previously but I left was such a disappointment today. We got there and it was pretty empty maybe two tables were occupied, our server came up and presented herself and asked if we wanted water and what type, we tell her and she leaves. We stay waiting and another waiter comes and ask us the same question I tell him how she had already asked us, i guess she forgot and he ended up being us the water. After a few minutes sitting there the waitress comes and ask if we want anything to drink My friend and i ordered some appetizers ( edamame and Pao buns. It take about 20 minutes she comes back and asks for our food order and we asked for two roles, the lobster noodles and another appetizer ( fried pork). We get our first appetizer after 10 minutes and our roles 20 minutes later. We finished our roles and got the lobster noodle like 20 minutes after finishing our roles. The noodle had no flavor and the lobster also had no flavor, it tasted like nothing, just a was of a good lobster. We ask for the check since we are tired of sitting there and the food was bad. At this point we had to ask another waiter for our check since our waitress never came up to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything. She brings our check and leaves, we review it and put a card down, she comes back to pick up the check and that when we ask her how long until we get our fried pork, she says 4 minutes, we tell her to make it to go and she leaves. She proceeds to swipe our card and bring a new receipt back. Our total was around $94 before taxes and when we got the new receipt she had put a 20% gratitude which made no sense since they have an 18% gratitude but only on checks over 100 dollars. I look at and realize she had charged us twice for the fried pork. She didn’t let us see the new receipt before charging the card. I ask her why since we never even got our first order our the F.Pork in the place would she charge us for two. Since she never actually took care of us she didn’t know we never got our order. She went and talked to her “manager or supervisor” and they were acting like they didn’t know what to do. At the end we ended up canceling the chicharrón overall and left. It was such a distasteful experience that I’m never going back to Mamasushi in general. They need to work on their customer service more. never charge a card before showing the total to the customer.

As I sit in this empty establishment, I’m honestly baffled by the lack of customer service. There were no more than 10 paying customers, with at least 50 chairs and multiple empty tables available. We politely asked to be accommodated due to the amount of food we ordered and the limited space we were given, requesting either an additional table or to move to another one. The waitress said he needed to “ask” the manager, who immediately said no. I then asked to speak directly with the manager, who never came over. At that point, I requested to cancel my order. As someone who works in the customer service industry, this interaction was genuinely disappointing. Especially because: 1. The restaurant was nearly empty 2. A reasonable customer request was treated like an inconvenience Save your time and money , go somewhere you’re valued and appreciated as a customer. 🙂

This was our first time here and the two of us ordered 5 or 6 appetizers in total to get a feel for the food, and an entree each- none of it was very good, and all of it was priced as if it didn't come directly out of the freezer bag. The sushi rolls had ~3x as much rice as sushi, so I couldn't tell you how the fish was because I couldn't taste it. The Japanese fried rice with beef was gross, specifically the beef (old? Or poorly seasoned? I couldn't tell, but it was inedible). The sauce was flavorless, so the metallic flavor of the beef seeped into the rice. I took 2 bites, and didn't complain or send it back. The manager came over to ask about why we hadn't touched the fried rice, but did not take it off the bill when we explained. They tacked on a 20% gratuity (added to checks over $100 automatically) as well as a service charge because we used a credit card. Honestly, the whole meal felt like a scam, not a single thing satiated my craving for half decent food. I am not a picky eater at all. Overall, it's clear that no thought or interest was put into the food, the menu, or the preparation, with all of it being supbar (at best) despite prices I've spent at more elevated sushi restaurants. I kept wondering if some rich investor just threw a bunch of money (the decor is cookie cutter Asian fusion, geisha wallpaper on the wall- you've seen it a million times before). I spent half of my meal wondering how much effort it really takes to open a profitable restaurant in new York city, because it boggles my mind that this place could still be open after so many years and having such low quality product. You could go to any hole in the wall sushi restaurant and get better food at a cheaper cost, so I would absolutely not recommend. I would have been more satisfied with food from the taco truck across the street (which I've had before- not bad). Service was fine. No complaints about the waiter, he likely knows what hes serving to people but it pays the bills. I'd hazard a guess that all of the workers there order out during their food breaks.

Not coming back after this disgusting mojito I wish I had seen it before my girlfriend and I took a zip. One leaves weren’t crushed just thrown in there whole and rotten and with the entire stems too wt!??. One would think a bartender would at least make sure they’re serving fresh or good looking mint leaves before they put them in someone’s drink. I saw something dark in there I just had to take it out and see what it was sadly it was already too late. Who ever the mediocre bartender was and served that should be fired immediately. Another thing they always play super loud music don’t read the room people can’t even hear their thoughts or speak to each other. I thought It’s a restaurant not a club smh
