A real find. Loved the food and veggie/ vegan options. Not to be confused with the old Sam Beckett show Quantum leap 😆 apparently the name stems (pardon the pun) plants 🤔 I had the most extensive impossible (plant) burger with portobello mushroom and habanero seat chilli sauce and deposited artichoke hearts 😋 the chicken wrap and dumplings were also great! washed down with a jam glass of mauntok ipa (excuse my spelling)
My husband and I had the best experience here this evening! The food was so fresh and delicious! We each had Impossible burgers and they even have vegan cheese as well as vegan multi grain buns. The peanut butter chocolate milk shake and chocolate cake with vanilla cream (all vegan) we're the perfect desserts to complete our meal. Not too sweet either. I'm so glad we discovered this restaurant, thanks to the NYC Vegan sub Reddit for the recommendation. We look forward to many more visits to this amazing restaurant!!
My first experience at this vegan restaurant was excellent. They offer a wide variety of menu options across different cuisines, all of which are impressive. The food is very good, and we especially loved the blueberry peach pie—it’s low in carbs and not overly sweet. Highly recommended.
This is something you need can an amazing restaurant. Serving impossible burgers and similar kind of food. Service is great. Food prices are very reasonable. Tight niche space. Easily accessible. I'm glad they're still around and open with this non-traditional type of food. I hope local people will support this local business and keep it going.
We live nearby and love this place. It’s our go-to. Never disappoints. Vegetarian or not, you will love this place. Very vegan friendly too.
This place might turn me vegan. Healthy but impossibly hearty flavors. Reasonable prices and empathetic service. Quinoa burger - the patty was made out of quinoa (didn’t care for the black beans) with fresh veggies, melted cheese and amazing sauce. Very filling but felt very healthy. Chicken burger - the patty did taste like chicken, but a cleaner more flavorful version. Not too crowded during a weekday lunch though there is a steady stream of customers. Lunch set is good value and comes with a drink. Exterior façade is very simple. However, the interior is wooden and cozy with not too many tables, and the space is very clean and well-maintained.
An absolute vegan treasure ♥️ I loved this place and kept coming back until the end of my trip. I wish my city had as many vegetarian options as this place does (eight pages of menu items, plus a lunch menu, a brunch menu, and a menu of beverages and desserts). The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is great. The food was unbelievably tasty. Even my non-vegetarian friend was astonished by how good the food was. I hope to come back soon. Kisses from Brazil!
I've been here twice, once with a friend, and another with my partner. Food was so flavorful and well-prepared! I always rave about their vegan cheesecake because it is truly delicious. The staff is also very sweet and attentive. I hope this business continues to prosper.
Quantum Leap . My sister Sonia and I entered inside this restaurant. The owner Jenny was exceptionally nice. She went above and beyond to make us feel so welcomed. The food, oh my Lord, was the best tasting meatless eggplant parmesan , i have ever tasted. The side order of salad was amazing. Jenny gave me to taste the mousse from her baked cake. I tell you overall this was a to die for experience of the entire food , place and it was a honor to have met Jenny. I recommend this place in complete totality. WE WILL DEFINETELY RETURN...... oh let's not forget the fries perfect n crispy.
My spouse and I discovered this gem merely a couple days ago, as this outstanding restaurant is not listed on the most popular vegan rankings. (This regrettable oversight makes one wonder what the true value of these rankings is...) We tried the Seitan Satai Platter and the Blackberry Cheesecakae; all of them were of exceptional quality. Service and ambiance were equally remarkable: the server (and owner?) is quite cordial and wam without being in the least overbearing, and the old-school jazz that was playing when we visited greatly enhanced the unassuming yet charming decor. We look forward to many more meals at Quantum Leap!
Sad sad reason for visiting, but the food warmed our hearts. Was looking for a vegetarian place while my dog was in the ICU at AMC. It was a short walk in the rain, but the food was amazing. I had the satay skewers plate which tasted just like chicken satay. The sauce was divine, and it was very filling. Steamed vegetables were great too. Partner had the happy Buddha bowl and he devoured the whole thing. He’s not vegetarian, and still loved the fried tempeh. Would definitely stop here again if I was in the area.
Highly recommend!! Everything was so good we forgot to take photos until dessert. The top star has to go to the Oreo milkshake. Everyone including non vegans will love it. In terms of food, we tried the vegan honey garlic BBQ wings, sesame medallions, the vegan quinoa taco bowl, the carrot apple walnut cake. All were so good, filling, and flavorful! The atmosphere is intimate and the service was amazing and so friendly. What an amazing spot! Will be coming back again!
Quantum Leap: A Unique Dining Experience in NYC _quantumleap_ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Quantum Leap, and I can confidently say it’s one of the most memorable restaurant experiences I’ve had in New York City. Nestled in a vibrant neighborhood, this restaurant offers a delightful fusion of flavors in a truly captivating atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a cozy ambiance, complete with sleek decor and soft, ambient lighting. The owner was incredibly welcoming along with an attentive staff making you feel right at home. The menu is a standout feature, showcasing a creative take on seasonal ingredients with a focus on plant-based dishes. I started with the crispy oyster mushroom appetizer, which was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. For my main course, I chose a limited time special made impossible burger, as well as the Vegan Seitan Philly Cheese Steak, both were nothing short of spectacular—rich, savory, and perfectly balanced. I also love the freshly made drink selection. I had a Pineapple Coconut Smoothie that paired perfectly with my meal. Overall, Quantum Leap is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy a unique and flavorful dining experience in NYC. Whether you’re a dedicated foodie or just looking for a great night out, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their incredible menu!
Really big menu and options. The cauliflower buffalo wings were really lightly fried and flavorful. The black bean burger was flavorful but I did need to eat with a fork. My friend reserved about the soy chicken Sandwich. The dessert walnut cheesecake was awesome. Everything was fresh, service was friendly
Solid vegan food with an extensive menu and a really lovely lunch special. For $13.95, the lunch portions were filling, and as a sweet bonus, they come with a free lemonade or green tea. I highly recommend the soy chicken katsu lunch special. Server gave excellent suggestions to help us decide what to order! Fish options available too for those who are not vegan. Not sure the exact name of the dessert but the first dessert listed was a notable, moist carrot walnut cake. I would definitely order again and I look forward to trying other dishes.
I don‘t usually post about anything but today I just had to. I‘ve been to Quantum Leap close to Washington Square Park about 10 years ago. It was my absolute favorite and I would tell everyone about it. So imagine my surprise when I came back to the city and it wasn‘t there anymore. So a quick search later I found this location. And safe to say I loved it just as much! The food was amazing and the staff super nice! Had a nice chat with one of them and she was just the cutest. Thanks for everything! 100% would and will recommend!
Absolutely love this place, everything from the warm and inviting atmosphere to the wide variety and quality of food makes it a destination worthy restaurant especially when dining with vegan or vegetarian friends! Everything I’ve tried here was delicious, you can tell the owner and chef really cares about every dish she puts out. Highly recommended.
Last day in NYC, and needed lunch before doing some last-minute sightseeing. Googled vegan restaurants and Quantum leap came up. It is classed as vegetarian and fish, though, but don't be put off by this. From the outside, Quantum leap doesn't look much, but once inside, this little gem makes itself apparent. The lady serving was super friendly and straight away, bought us over some glasses of water and the menus. The menu had so many choices, and all sounded lovely. They had a lunchtime special on which included a meal and a drink for $12, which we both took advantage of. My husband chose the soy chicken burger and fresh lemonade, whilst I chose the quinoa burger and iced green tea. When the food arrived..WOW... for a simple burger, they looked amazing and tasted just as good. The lemonade was lovely and tangy, and the iced tea was refreshing. Our lovely server kept returning to fill our glasses with water, which we were very grateful for. For desert, we shared the blueberry cheesecake. My husband isn't usually a fan but said he really enjoyed this one, and I agree it was pretty special. In my opinion this is one of the best places we have eaten and at a good price, this is one you don't want to miss.
What a lovely place for vegans. Went for lunch and was surprised how busy this small place was. I’ve been passing by it so many times and never got in until today. Service was very friendly and knowledge . When I asked for the gluten free bun for my vegan burger, the lady immediately updated me that the gf bun has eggs in it and offered to put it over salad. I got the aloha pineapple beet burger, grilled vegetables and lemonade. All tasted great. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes on the menu .
Take a leap of faith meat lovers and check out Quantum Leap. Menu is 90% vegetarian and vegan friendly with a small selection dedicated to fresh fish. A friend recommended this place, a loyal patron for many years so I knew I'd be in good hands. Mgr Jenny was warm and friendly the minute I arrived. I ordered the Grilled "chicken" (seitan not real chicken) satay with peanut and coconut sauce, very delicious. Totally enjoyed the black bean quesadilla with the surprisingly sweet salsa and fresh guac and chips. Portions were generous. Desserts are just as divine, even though we had our carrot walnut cake deconstructed, it was delicious on its own. Menu has a lot of variety. Elvin our waiter, was very attentive and never rushed us to order as we ordered one course at a time. Go early to beat the dinner rush and if you're in the hood for lunch, daily specials for $12! What a deal. Next time I'm trying that vegan Oreo shake, or the peanut butter one, or the pumpkin mousse...so many choices.
