We started going to Fattoush by Salma about three months ago. We used to visit Salma, but one time they were fully packed and recommended we try their new location—and ever since, we’ve been hooked! The food, the service, and the atmosphere are all top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable. The servers are amazing. We genuinely love being there and can’t stop recommending it to friends and family. Natalia, Marcella, and Gigi are unbelievably courteous and truly know their job well.
One of the BEST spots for a group dinner + birthday. Came here with 4 others and set a reservation the week before (call to do so). They were always super sweet and flexible and even have a bring your own bottle option (does require minimum purchase, for us it was apps and 3 platters). Even with 3 appetizers and 3 platters + tip, it was less than $150. Some of the best Lebanese food I've had in the city plus the coziest environment. Great service and people, plus they even helped us celebrate our friends bday with a little dessert (she had no clue and was surprised). Bonus if you are gluten free since there are soooo many GF options.
We had a very tasty and satisfying small dinner which consisted of an appetizer of perfectly spiced lamb sambousek with a chicken shawarma wrap split between us. The one chicken sandwich was ample and more than enough food for both of us. Our waitress Marcela was very elegant and explained all of our questions about the portion sizes, ingredients, etc. She was very accommodating, bringing sauces like gatlic yogurt sauce and red chili sauce to complement what we ate. I thought the decor was very tasteful and calming with beautiful muted colors and Middle Eastern touches.
We had a wonderful dinner here on a Wednesday night. The food was delicious and the space very comfortable. And the service was also very good and not pushy. We ordered the appetizer plate for four and the mixed grill supreme. Everything was perfect and easy to share. It is also BYOB at no charge. Highly recommended!
Every dish felt fresh and full of flavor. The wrap was loaded with tender meat, crunchy vegetables, and rich, creamy sauces. The mezze with hummus hit every note perfectly. The setting is welcoming with vibrant seating and a cozy, authentic feel that makes the whole experience truly enjoyable.
I almost don’t want to leave a review so I can keep this place to myself! The food was incredible - the muhammara and fig hummus were unreal. The fig hummus was sweeter than I expected so it was nice to have something more savory to balance it out. We also got the mint lemonade, jallap, and arayes with cheese and everything was delicious. The drinks were both in slushie form, and the jallap was made of rose water and not too sweet. All so flavorful! The service was excellent, quick and very kind. Looking forward to my next visit!
I’m stuffed like a grape leaf. Everything that came to my table was out of this world. Fresh, delicious, authentic, homemade and made with love. My compliments to the chef and owner. Staff is beautiful and atmosphere is beautiful and cozy and colorful. I’m bringing my family back.
We stumbled in looking for a spot in the West Village on a Saturday night and managed to grab a table, and WOW. Truly one of the best meals I’ve had in the city. Everything was divine, free glass of wine, and the chef came out to bring us different things he whipped up while we waited. The restaurant is too small for all of the people they need to have here!! There should be a line around the block.
Always a wonderful experience at Fattoush! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented! the wrap was packed with juicy meat, crisp veggies, and creamy sauces, while the mezze and hummus were just perfect. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with colorful seating and a cozy, authentic vibe that makes you feel right at home.
Authentic Lebanese food. The kibba and fattoush were my favorite. I really enjoyed the fig hummus which was on the sweeter side but oh so good. A must try in the neighborhood.
Came here with a few friends a few weeks ago (after a workout class so we were appropriately starving) and tried a smattering of things that were all wonderfully delicious. We had the beetroot hummus, tabbouleh, kebbeh, sambousek, and cheese rolls. And decided to split falafel and the shish tawouk platter which was so perfectly seasoned and cooked. There were still so many things we didn't get to try but I will definitely be returning. Also, side shoutout for the mint lemonade - refreshing!
Had an amazing time at Fattoush! The food was so fresh and delicious. Amazing service staff, owner and lovely decor. Overall a great experience and can’t wait to go back again soon!
We were starving in New York and ended up having Lebanese food — it was absolutely delicious and so satisfying! Every bite felt like comfort after a long, hungry day Liza was so helpful in choosing the meal she was humble and kind loved her kind gesture
Liza and Natalia were incredibly accommodating and attentive, the service here was 11/10 stars, the food here is beyond! We had the appetizer for 2 and the grape leaves were delicious!!! Just run!!! Don’t walk here!
Have you tried any Lebanese or Mediterranean food? This is YOUR place! Great service, magnificent food, and awesome flavors! Fresh salads, veggie rolls, juicy and spiced meats! You can indulge yourself with these Lebanese food and take a dreamy trip to Lebanon. 100% recommended even if you're not in the area! Thank you for an amazing dinner with my wife!
The food was so good, and so was the service! We got the appetizer for 4 people and it was such a great portion! The quality and variety were amazing, and the atmosphere was great! Come to this restaurant😄
Nevermind the delicious food, their hot sauce is to kill for. Marcela is very pleasant! I used to wonder why the place is always packed and now I know exactly why!
Everything we had was amazing! The four person appetizer platter was the best part. Marcela kept us happy and hydrated. Couldn’t ask for more.
Everything was amazing. Our wonderful server, Natalia, was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the owner personally made sure everyone was happy and well taken care of. This is one of my favorite restaurants, and I will definitely be coming back. I would recommend this place again and again!
Nice little cafe, with peaceful decor and ceramics for sale. They have specials now and then, so worth checking out. Got the lavender latte and the flavor was subtle, which is nice. A few spots for working as well.
A tiny coffee spot around the area. They do have seats for people to stay a little bit. Good coffee, staff and services. Recommend to people who want a cozy and quiet place to do some work, with a cup of good coffee. I have to be honest the cappuccino was not the creamiest one I had but the coffee they used to make drinks were good. Maybe black coffee for the pure taste would be the best.
Came here on a late Friday afternoon. Very peaceful vibes inside, with some folks quietly reading and others quietly working. Super clean spot with chill music quietly playing in the background. The gentleman at the front had a positive aura matching the rest of the vibes of the place and produced an amazing latte with beautiful latte art to match. Would definitely recommend as a solid coffee spot in the East Village area!
I caught up with a friend at this small coffee shop over the weekend. There was some limited seating inside which was enough for us. The cortado was solid and their pour over was fantastic. The barista had his coffee knowledge down too. There was a collection of different customers who came through and some with a unique personality that gave the coffee shop a fun vibe. Definitely recommend it if you're in the neighborhood.
Generous portions and a nicely designed, cozy restaurant. We arrived around 6 pm without a reservation and were seated immediately. At that time, the restaurant was about half empty, but by around 7 pm it became packed. I noticed a shift in service once it got busy—it was harder to get the waitresses’ attention—but they were still very friendly. The food was delicious—especially the cheese roll (puff pastry with mozzarella and feta) and the Shish Tawouk, which was perfectly grilled and flavorful. They offer complimentary tea served in a teapot, though it’s made with tea bags. Loose-leaf tea would be a nicer touch, but considering it’s complimentary, it’s still appreciated. Overall, a nice spot for casual dining.
Stopped by Saltwater Coffee and asked for a rose chai latte that wasn’t even on their current menu — I’d seen it on an old menu online. Fully expected a “we don’t do that anymore,” but the barista didn’t blink and just made it anyway. Respect. The drink? Really good. Balanced, fragrant, not overly sweet, and actually tasted like chai instead of hot milk with a memory of spices. The rose was subtle, not perfumey, which is exactly how it should be. The barista had that monotone, low-key cool energy — chill, not rude, no performative friendliness. Just did his thing and did it well. Ambience could use some love, but honestly? When the drink hits and the service is quietly solid, I’m not mad at it. Came for a long-shot order, left impressed.
Solid coffee. Quick and friendly service. My wife and I tried the maple latte (hot) on a chilly morning. Not my favorite coffee in the city, but it helped to warm us up! The store was very cute as well. It’s small but quiet and cozy for the few tables in front of the barista counter.
Coffee is ok but unless ur one of the baristas little buddies they will act like u asked them to jump off a cliff if u order anything no hi hello how are u😔
Will not be coming back. Decent coffee, nothing outstanding, no good seating, zero vibes in the coffee shop, employees were very loudly talking to each other and taking up all of the tables. Please for the employees, play some nice music and don’t gossip so loudly. Seats have no backs / are not particularly comfortable
The coffee is what you’d expect at any small New York coffee shop. The prices are outrageous though. This iced latte was $6.53, I have never been charged that much for a cup of coffee in my life. It’s disgusting expensive for no reason. The coffee is really not worth that much. The woman behind me asked for iced coffee and they told her that they were out of that, kind of weird to be out of iced coffee at 2:00 in the afternoon when all they sell is coffee. Overall i’d go somewhere else. I reached out to them via Instagram to no avail, probably because they have no rebuttal to my claims. They shouldn’t expect people to pay their rent for them and for them to have the audacity to ask for a tip on top of that is laughable.
First cup of coffee I could not finish in a long time because it was tasteless. It also took a long time to get our coffee because the barista made another groups drinks before ours even though we ordered first and it wasn’t busy. Also talked to another customer loudly and negatively about unhoused populations in the neighborhood. Very distasteful.
Came here to enjoy an afternoon with my husband and the employee with a mullet acted like he was in his living room. He played the switch with a friend, laughed, yelled out loudly and disrupted the entire space. Not worth it.
There’s dozens, if not hundreds of coffee shops in New York. So why would you choose a place that doesn’t want you to be here? The drinks didn’t taste good because of the sour taste the barista/register left in our mouths. I will NEVER be coming back and you shouldn’t either. You get charged for a drop of simple syrup or honey. Go to a different coffee shop with better coffee and better service. Why do you hire someone that hates being here?
Barista looked annoyed when myself or other later guests came in for coffee in the early afternoon. Sorry if we interrupted the soccer game you were watching with your friend who mentioned to other customers that he doesn't work there, yet would still handle the beverages in the back (isn't that a health violation?)
