This spot was right not to my hotel so me and my friend decided to check it out. Really amazing prices for the city! Definitely some of the best miso and sushi I’ve ever had. And it was a very relaxing atmosphere with fun music. Service was friendly and fast. Highly recommend!

It’s location is easy to find. The establishment is small, but welcoming. The service was amazing, they are really attentive to everything. The food was delicious, went for lunch and got the bento box special, pretty good amount of food for the price. Overall I would recommend 10/10.

me and my mom loved this place so so much, my mom gets very picky when eating out and very rarely likes resturaunts, but she loved this one! the sushi was amazing and so was the service. She said it was the best sushi shes had in all america, i wanna give this place 6 stars it was so good!

Recently checked out this sushi spot and it was a total win! The sushi? Super fresh and crafted like they really care. And the server? Absolute gem – friendly and on the ball. Heads up, the lunch special's price has bumped up a bit, but hey, it's NYC, right? Still, totally worth it for the quality you get.

Currently probably the only sushi place within a few blocks that has an “A” health grade. And we’re very happy with the quality of the sushi! Will definitely be going back a lot. Friendly staff. Fast service. Good lunch special and late happy hour!

Popped into here for a quick bit due to its proximity to our hotel. Loved the Shanghai soup dumplings and the shrimp dumplings. Ordered 2 rolls as well but don’t remember their names. Presentation and flavor were there. Was impressed with price seeing this is NY. Price was comparable to what I have back home. The folks working this evening were sweet. I’d come back.

Great food, great prices and nice atmosphere

Their lunch deals are amazing. I was impressed by the price and quality of the salmon teriyaki bento box. It came with the perfect portion of salmon, vegetables, shumai, California roll, miso soup, spring roll, and brown rice for no extra charge. What really impressed me was nothing was too sweet or salty and I actually felt everything was healthy and good quality for once. This is going to be my go to spot when I’m at the office. I’ve also gotten their sushi before and it’s solid as well.

Shima Sushi is a very solid no frills sushi restaurant that doesn’t disappoint. The dim sum is delicious and shouldn’t be missed here. Great for dining in or taking out.

Quality of ingredients was good for the price but sauces all tasted store made and sushi and the teriyaki beef bento box all tasted like a home cook made it, not a chef. Having said that, the terriyaki steak was very good value and tasted good for a bento box. It wasn't bad for the price and the amount of food you get, and if you're in a hotel nearby the location is very convenient.

the food was excellent. please change the music. It was a spotify playlist of people singing celebrity's songs and they were singing it badly. It was hard to ignore. everything tasted great though!

It was alright for a quick bite, prices on google are inaccurate though. It was $60 (before tip) for me and a friend to get 5 rolls (total) and 2 starters which isn’t the worst considering it’s in the city. Rolls were good, friendly staff, quick service.

We stopped for a dinner in that place and it was not crowded even after 6:00 pm on workday. I looked the lady who was a hostess and a waitress. Miso soup an sushi were really great. But in the middle of our dining 2 guys just decided to throw away 2 big black trash bags which smelled disgusting 🤮. I don’t know why they have to carry those bags though the restaurant. Probably a bed luck for me and you would enjoy good sushi without a smell of rotten cabbage.
