There are more expensive kosher restaurants in Manhattan but there are none better. Specializing in Uzbeki food, Taam Tov is the perfect place for a quick bite or an extended meal. All the food comes out quickly and the service is great. The prices are fantastic and the food even more so. If you are ever anywhere close to the diamond district please look for the sign up high and come and visit this restaurant. The meat soup, the dumplings, and the kebabs are a perfect meal.
Came here for a late lunch. It’s 3 flights up (elevator available) and about 15 tables. We had Uzbek Plov, and it was amazing. Filling and tasty with fresh herbs. Cabbage salad and carrot salad had light dressing and herbs as well. Highly recommended.
Hidden midtown gem in the 💎 District! Great Uzbek restaurant in a somewhat offbeat location, a few flights up in a commercial walk-up building (fun people watching if you’re sitting by the windows). I had lunch family-style, so had about 10 different dishes. Highly recommend their manty, pilaf and homemade bread - seriously addictive 🤤 I’m a big meat lover and as much as I liked ALL their beef & chicken skewers, I can’t get over how yummy their grilled veg, mashed potatoes and Israeli salad were 👍🏼 also get the Chersi soda! Sorry no photos, I ate everything 😌
Wonderful hidden gem, up a couple flights of stairs in the diamond district. Uzbek and Bukharian food, with some Israeli dishes as well. Very reasonable prices for kosher meat in Manhattan. The TV is usually on. Open weekdays.
Delicious food, excellent service, reasonable prices. We just had a birthday lunch for a family member. Seven people, different choices from the extensive menu: all very good.
Best bukharian food by far- Amazing service- Elevator entrance is from 43W- Can see myself eating there everyday :)
The food is very good and authentic. We really enjoyed it! There is a wide selection and everything was delicious. I like ethnic food - and this place definitely serves good uzbeki food. It was a little hard to find in the building and the decore is not the finest- but the food is excellent
The restaurant is simply amazing! The food is excellent and the service is really good, a bonus is the view of the city from the 3rd floor!
No frills, we had an insane meat meal here with my whole work team, kabobs and everything else you can think of
Cute place offering kosher uzbeki food located in the diamond district. Not so easy to find- need to walk up a flight of stairs. Food was excellent.
I took a large group to Taam Tov last week. They food and service were excellent. We ordered a pre fixe meal in advance. They were ready for us with salads already on the table, accommodating of the pescatarians, and kept the drinks flowing. The atmosphere is non-pretentious which we loved. I plan to bring a group back every year. Highly recommend this place!
Prefect . Price cheap. Service not bad. Home atmosphere.
Brought a group of coworkers from all over the country and all walks of life. Everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere despite the irregular table service. Really don’t understand the negative reviews of pricing and portion size. Both are reasonable.
Amazing 🤩!!! Best food I have ever eaten, number one restaurant in midtown !!! Service is great, trustworthy and friendly staff, along with an amazing view of the diamond district. Little hard to find, but so worth it!!! ( find the elevator in 43w, no one knows it’s there and take to 3r)

I’ve been a frequent customer at Taam Tov Restaurant, and they never disappoint. The food is consistently fresh, high-quality, and full of flavor—always on point. The staff is friendly, professional, and never pushy, which makes for a truly enjoyable dining experience every time. Recently, they introduced a new item: marinated meat for at-home BBQs. I tried it and was blown away. The meat was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and grilled beautifully at home. It’s a fantastic addition to their already excellent offerings. Highly recommend Taam Tov for both dine-in and now for upgrading your backyard BBQ Overall this place is amazing
I was immediately impressed during my first visit. Just pure flavor perfection on every plate. The food tastes fresh, is made well, and won't break the bank. The staff elevates every aspect of the dining experience. The meal was truly delicious.
Our party found the experience worth sharing with others. The price tags are surprisingly low. Employees display such warmth that it enhances the fun atmosphere. Their servings will leave you full. The restaurant offers total satisfaction.
If you are looking for Kosher Food in Manhattan, go to the diamond exchange and look up! Taam Tov is a great little restaurant on the 3rd floor with great views of the diamond district. Food was excellent, the Sherpa soup was amazing. The people there are very friendly, our waiter gave us some recommendations and they were spot on. The schnitzel was the size of the plate. We went on Friday afternoon for lunch, 1 hour before they closed and they treated us amazing, not rushed and we even took some schnitzel back to our hotel for later. We enjoyed it very much, and will be back next time we are in NYC!
I don’t know who is Chef but I just want to say thank you food unbelievable amazing have no words for me is the best delicious food in NYC ☺️
When you want high quality dinning you think about Taam Tov. They offer extremely tasty, fresh food with bold and distinctive flavors. We have experienced their Mediterranean specialties as well as their Latin American and they are truly amazing. If you are entertaining guests or have a small family gathering, Taam Tov Caters are the experts to call!

A consistently very good place; light on decor/ambiance, but great food served quickly at a very reasonable price. I'm a fairly regular lunchgoer there!
Good size portion, food could have been hotter, meat was a little overcooked. Tasty though and service was good
The food was delicious, unique and authentic. The portions were not particularly generous, but sufficient. The shurpa soup was very tasty, and the Manty (steamed large beef dumplings) were delicious. The decor is simple and homey, and the waitress was very friendly. Only the prices were more than I expected.
Updt 6/27: we came on Thursday at 7pm hoping to have a quick dinner but the 1st floor door was locked and noone answered the phone. Submitted Google maps update to their opening hours but it got rejected. Beware not to come close to or after 7pm. Took 1 star off for non-realiability. No thrills ambiance but a truly authentic Uzbeki cuisine and very hospitable service. Plov and shakarob salad (tomatoes with onions) are a must. And the portions are really big. Manty were juicy and delicious. I found beef samsa to be too greasy. If you want to take an elevator it is doors closer to 5th Avenue not on this exact address.
I enjoyed this meal. I came here for a friends birthday. It is kosher Uzbekistan cuisine. I ordered the beef shish kabob with grilled vegetables. It was delicious. The meat was so juicy and tender, the vegetables were a little boring but they paired well with the meat. All who attended enjoyed their meals. The service is very friendly as well.
Samsa and Uzbek pilaf was delicious and it was served quickly!! Highly recommended if you want to enjoy exotic dishes.
The fact we have Bukharian kosher cuisine in the block that’s a 5 star but the food is ok, I recommend there Samsa which was great and there plov was not bad lab shashlik was ok, the chicken taste good, over all 3.5 star but I gave 4 they can do better
Hidden shop up 2 flights of stairs. We got the kebab platter and it everything was very tasty.

Good to have an Uzbek restaurant in Manhattan, but the food quality was average. Service was good. Manty and samsa were too fatty, and the pelmeni portion was quite small. And yes, as many people mentioned, gratuity was already included in the bill, so I didn’t leave any extra tip.

The food was good, but don't be like me and not read your receipt carefully. They charged a tip and service charge already on top of my bill already (party of 2) and you wouldn't notice unless you look at the itemized bill. I ended up leaving a 18% tip on top of the 11% tip already charged. Decided it wasn't worth the hassle to go back.
Ordered in directly from their website (when I called about an issue, was told I ordered thru a 3rd party app). Only issue was that I ordered a salad & babaganoush...asked for bread to be included for both items. After delivered I rec'd silverware - didn't ask for, never checked the box for that but no bread. Wrote to ask then called (same person responded). Bread costs extra. Didn't see it but if my # was there, why not ask me? Cause it's a 3rd party app, not Taam Tov. 🤷
10 years ago this was the best kosher bargain around. great food, cheap prices with very little atmosphere. you could have a feast for 2 for $30. now, the food is still very good, the atmosphere is still bare bones, but now a meal for 2 without alcohol is $100, so do you go here or le marais and save a couple of bucks? for a quick lunch, this is great anything else, go elsewhere
Lagman and borscht were good. Hard Pass on fried dumplings and shawarma over pita. The prices are high so the food needs to be of good quality and flavor. Fried dumplings and shawarma definitely not worth it in price or flavor.
Good location hard to find on floor 3R (Not 3) I felt it I got a lunch meal at a green restaurant I would have gotten a salad and some bread too. Very nice waitress.
Ordered falafel. Wasn’t even given the option of choosing what toppings I wanted to put in my sandwich. They just told me sit down and will be back in a couple of minutes, when they came back they had the sandwich ready. Took 15 minutes. Not at all the time needed to make one sandwich falafel. Restaurant was empty. Maybe that’s the reason that the french fries that were in the pita were so cold and were clumped up together. I was starving so I enjoyed the sandwich. But I won’t be back.
Tasty, well seasoned dishes. Disinterested server. A bit pricy for the offering. Desert cake is Baklava, jam is Baklava, everything Baklava.

Food was not good. Service was very bad but they even add their own additional 20% tip (even though we were a party of two). They they give you suggestions to leave an additional 15-20% tip on top. They also add a credit card fee which I’ve never seen. Could you be any stingier?
The price on the menu does not match the price we paid somehow Plus the hidden 18% tip the add themselves and not warning us when adding ANOTHER! Ended up paying 400$ for 6 people, as the restaurant states it’s around 30$ per person
I was very disappointed with my order. Poor quality ingredients. The manti were not edible. Soggy fries and falafel pita drenched in oil. I would not be surprised if the lagman soup came from a can.
it was a terrible experience. My friend and I bought samsa, but it was cold and not tasty at all, we didn’t even finish it. I don't recommend it at all
The food wasn’t good he didn’t want to change For something else ! Run away !!
I had dinner here the day before. I went again because I thought it was so good. I got the lamb skewer and the meat was incredibly tough. I asked the waiter if this was beef and he told me it was lamb. She said sometimes meat can change and the taste may not always be the same. Is that possible ? I'm going there because I think it will be nice. However, when it comes to getting the bill, you even add the tip. Unfortunately, this is not an good approach. In such a case, instead of forcing me to eat rubbery hard lamb meat, you should apologize to me and change my plate. If you cannot think of doing this, you can at least try to compensate for your mistake by offering me the tea I bought to relieve my post-meal indigestion. You can't serve a meal that is not cheap and of such poor quality and say "sometimes such things happen"!
Horrible experience...stay away! Beef tasted old and was NOT fresh. Tiny portions. They add a 20% tip for small parties and suggest another 25% on top of that! Worst of all, one entree was $50.99 on the menu and they charged $57.99. When I brought it up they said that their menu says "prices subject to change." I said if that's the case, the waitress should have told me the changed price when I placed the order or their menu should have been updated. They refused to accomodate me in any way. Avoid at all costs!
Bad service dirt take a lot of time they speak badly to people especially not hygiene
I was the only one in during dinner hour that should have been a hint to leave. My steak had a rubber consistency was non-edible They didn't fix it.I left the meal. Tiny glass ok Coke laden with ice.No refills.Bill did not match the menu price. Added service charge which isn't mentioned. I asked for a manager Non available
I recently ordered a chicken shish kabob from this restaurant, enticed by the online menu photo showcasing fresh onions and cilantro. Unfortunately, the dish I received lacked these ingredients, leading to a rather bland experience. This discrepancy between the menu's imagery and the actual meal was disappointing. Further, when inquiring about the missing onions and cilantro, the response from the restaurant was unsatisfactory. They seemed to dismiss the issue by blaming the photo rather than addressing the inconsistency (as if they didn't upload those photos). Moreover, their offer for me to return and pick up the missing ingredients was not a practical solution. I advise caution when ordering based on menu photos, as they do not accurately represent the dish you receive.

BEWARE: What's this fee? How are you charging fees without telling us in advance what they are? Why is the tip already included in the bill, yet the bill is asking me to leave ANOTHER tip? Why are you not charging me the price that is on the menu? $50 for a drink and two appetizers and your already included tip and "fee"?" Fun fact: I'm not a tourist.
We came here for the first time and the chicken was not cooked. I read the comments above. Yes, according to our calculations, it was 45 dollars in total, but we paid 63 dollars. They calculate the tip as well and when you pay the bill, they want you to pay a tip separately. If you want to eat something here, don't forget that the bill will be high. 3 out of 10 👎
