Five stars all around, genuinely one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had. Amazingly delicious food, great service, lively ambience and beautiful decor. You can’t go wrong with anything here. We came here for a birthday brunch and had the best time. Would recommend for special occasions, especially if you happen to be seated at the booths!
All around true five star experience from start to finish. If you have a couple hours to dine, and the appetite, do the chefs menu, try a cocktail and split a bottle of wine. We ate here before a show at The Shed. The open kitchen added to the cozy atmosphere, every staff member we interacted with was lovely, and there wasn’t so much as a mediocre dish.
I visited on a Thursday evening for a private dinner in one of the restaurant’s private dining rooms, which featured a full family-style tasting menu. It was an incredible opportunity to sample a wide variety of dishes—and every single one was exceptional. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were thoughtfully crafted and perfectly balanced. Even the desserts put a creative spin on classic favorites that had me going back for seconds. We also spent some time in the main dining room and lounge area, which really showcased the beauty of the space and its amazing views. I highly recommend this spot for a special night out—whether you’re with close friends or enjoying a romantic evening with your partner.
Had a really good dinning experience here. We ordered the set menu which is a lot of food for 2 people. As a start, the hummus appetizer platter is delicious, especially refreshing with vegetable sticks The fish was cooked to perfection with light seasoning which enhance the freshness flavor, the steak skewer is amazing too. Don’t miss the dessert! You’ll be wowed :)
Amazzzinggg spot for a small event. We did a 20ish person work dinner with a set, family style menu. The food was incredible. Very inclusive menu (aside from not many vegan-friendly options on the table). The crudo was amazing. The veggies and dip were lowkey a highlight. The salads were phenomenal. The only thing that was mid was the branzino tbh. The service was outstanding. My only suggestion is that if the leftovers from the family style meals are going to trash, that would be SO sad. I think it’s becoming more accepted in the corporate world to take leftovers to prevent waste. But if staff are eating them that’s great.
Zou Zou’s is a great spot in Manhattan to catch up with colleagues over really good food. The wild rice side and the latkas were especially delicious, simple but done perfectly. The five dip appetizer is fantastic and worth ordering on its own. A relaxed, easy place to talk, eat well, and enjoy the evening.
Exceptional service and absolutely delicious food. My bestie and I came for a holiday celebration dinner and got *the best* service from Yekaterina. She made us feel so special and looked after even though the restaurant was (understandably) packed. Loved the beet salad and flaming cheese. Thank you for a lovely night.
Oh this place wa incredible!!! Came here for my birthday and they even gave me a little happy birthday card. Josh was such an amazing server. Constantly checking in to make sure we were okay and if we needed anything. The food was incredible. We got the dip platter 🤤. The cheese with the focaccia, the latkes, and the chicken for 2, though I feel like its chicken for like 3 or 4 people. We also had all that stuff before, so who knows if it really is for 2 people. Haha. The atmosphere is very warm. 10 out of 10.
Look- I don’t know if I’d give Zou Zou’s this 5 star rating if we ordered a la carte. However, we did the $74 tasting menu and honestly, it’s a steal. We were fed over $400 worth of food but paid like $150 less than that. They did accidentally give us extra food (chicken and potato pancakes), but didn’t charge for it. That being said, they are still very generous with their portions. Standouts were definitely the fish entree and their take on a Fattoush salad with the most delish sumac vinaigrette that our server informed us on. The rest of the food was okay, with some things being too salty or too strong of one flavor. As a table who mostly prefers savory foods, we were impressed by the desserts. Very unique and different. My party came here to celebrate a couple things, so it was definitely a vibe. I encourage you to get the tasting menu!
I’ve been here over 3 times now - one with my husband and other times with friends. Every single time I order the dips tower, and grilled branzino - my favourites there. Also tried the filet mignon and chicken and both came out well. I’ve tried sitting indoor and outdoor - different experience but both lovely. Service is fab and ambience is great. Definitely a great spot to catch up with friends or a date night with your partner!
We went to this place 3x now and for a reason: good food, great service and a very welcoming atmosphere. We recommend ordering their signature tower dip to begin with, then pair it with their branzino and their specially cooked house kitchen. If weather permits, take the outdoors seating.
I really liked Zou Zou’s — it’s tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, like a little escape from all the street traffic and chaos, but still close to everything. It’s quiet, calm, and such a nice spot to sit outside and enjoy a good meal. The dip platter was amazing — the bread is warm and fluffy, and every dip has its own thing going on. But that whipped ricotta with apricots? Unreal. Creamy, a little sweet, and seriously addictive. Definitely recommend for a date or brunch with friends — this place hits the perfect balance of fun, flavor, and atmosphere.
Hudson Yard. Midtown West. Nice lofty venue. Bar scenes as well as outdoor seating. Middle Eastern cuisine. Must have is dips with vegetables and bread. Assortment of hummus, yogurt, with pomegranate, caviar, cilantro garnish. Had sangria which is more white wine base screwdriver with white melon slice, orange, and mint. Good presentation as poured into prepped chalice. Grilled chicken so tender inside while exterior open fire burn marks. Best in the City. Scary long skewer for Yemeni filet mignon kebab. Olive oil chimichuri another great dip for bread. Dessert bit short list. Will try Lebanese arak next time. Servers juggling for long line at bar. Quite busy Monday night. Indoor access from hotel Pendry. Quiet lobby bar also look nice contrast.
The dip platter here is worth a try and makes a nice choice for a date. Each dip tastes good with plenty of variety, so switching between them feels fresh, and the veggies on the side are great for snacking while chatting. The beef skewers were a pleasant surprise, tender and well-cooked, paired with a light, refreshing sauce. The setting is also a highlight, with a cozy atmosphere.
This is the PERFECT summer spot (aka bread and dips heaven!!). Their dip platter, served with veggies and their fluffy homemade bread, is a MUST GET! So fun to try all their dips but the whipped ricotta with dried apricots was a knock out! So creamy and sweet, it reminded me of a creamy honey bread. Mains are good but the starters and desserts are definitely the highlight. (Moroccan chicken is tasty and so is the fattoush salad). But do NOT skip dessert here! We got their sticky toffee pudding which tasted like a gingerbread cake and was served with spiced ice cream, dried apricots and crushed pistachios. This was AMAZING!
The dips were all great super flavorful and none of them were too salty. My favorite was the half chicken: cooked to perfection with the tenderness with a slight char on the skin. The shallot boat with cream added a lot of creaminess to the chicken. The duck borek was also delicious. Really loved the crispy layers paired with soft duck. The cheesecake is a must order. Not super sweet and has so many different textures crispy creamy crunchy… lovely service as well
The ambiance is nice, and the location is convenient in a corporate plaza by the port (midtown/w 39th). One downside is that you must order all the dips for $39—too much despite being tasty. The branzino was good, but the chard was overly bitter. The highlight was the Fattoush—amazing with its vinegar-cured cabbage, sweet apples, and apricots. The service was friendly but a bit too eager. Overall, it’s a nice spot.
Stylish Mediterranean Dining in Manhattan West. Zou Zou’s is a beautiful restaurant located in the new Manhattan West development, just steps away from Hudson Yards. The location is fantastic, with easy access to nearby attractions and a vibrant city atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, the décor makes an impression. The space is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed, blending modern elegance with Middle Eastern flair. The lighting, tile work, and plush seating all contribute to a very chic and comfortable ambiance. The hostesses were friendly and welcoming, and they set a nice tone upon arrival. The crowd was lively, and the overall energy of the restaurant was upbeat, giving it the feel of a trendy, upscale spot that draws a mix of locals and visitors alike. Unfortunately, our server seemed less enthusiastic that day, which slightly affected the experience. The service was efficient enough, but it lacked the warmth and engagement you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The food was good overall. We enjoyed the Mediterranean-inspired dishes, which were flavorful and beautifully presented. The menu felt somewhat similar to a Mediterranean version of Grand Lux Café, offering reliable comfort food in a more sophisticated setting. Overall, Zou Zou’s is worth visiting for its lovely décor, great location, and lively atmosphere. While the food may not be the at its pinnacle, the combination of ambiance, design, and energy makes it a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience in Midtown West.
I came here on a seasonably cool and dry Monday night at 7pm in late October. I made the reservation about a week in advance with no issue via Open Table with my Visa infinite membership. When I arrived, the restaurant was full and felt very lively. The atmosphere is very new, modern, clean, and sleek feeling. There did not appear to many or any open tables. We decided to get the four drip platter everyone talks about. It was fine, I was not impressed. They are dips, after all. I’ve had way better. We then decided to share some smaller plates including the artichoke, our manti (beef dumplings), and hot kasseri cheese. The beef dumplings and kasseri cheese were delicious (when is melted cheese not delicious?) but the artichokes tasted like nothing. The server was kind and attentive. Overall, I found it very mediocre. I wouldn’t seek out another experience here, but if someone suggested it, I wouldn’t protest.
The aesthetics are amazing and food is good too! I would recommend ordering less number of dishes as the quantity is a lot! We had a reservation for 4 and one person had to cancel because she was sick, so they moved us to the patio - it was extremely cold and they had no heaters outside. We had to wait for really long to get bar seats (which are first come first serve)
For three dishes totaling over $85 after tax, I expected a level of quality and professionalism that was simply not delivered. The tuna tartare clearly had freshness issues. It had a strong fishy smell and taste, and the seasoning did nothing to balance or mask it. Fresh tuna should taste clean and delicate — this did not. The cheese had an obvious burnt smell and a noticeable bitter flavor, likely from being overheated. The appearance was messy and unappetizing, showing little care in preparation and presentation. The sweet potatoes were severely overcooked, falling apart into a mushy paste. There was no real plating effort — sauce was sloppily scattered, and even the sweet potatoes themselves looked low quality and irregular. Overall, the food showed a lack of professionalism and care from the kitchen. Serving dishes like this at this price point is completely unacceptable. I would not return, nor would I recommend this restaurant to others.
