But it wasn’t just the food—the service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, fast, and welcoming, which made the entire experience even better. I had a wonderful experience at Golden Krust in Newburgh. I've been to other Golden Krust locations, but this one stood out for all the right reasons. As soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted by the enticing aroma of authentic Caribbean cooking. I decided to order the curry goat, along with rice and peas and some cabbage. The curry goat was incredibly tender, with the bones being soft and easy to eat. I also picked up a bottle of water to wash it all down. I noticed that the soursop goes quickly, and I can’t wait to try the rum cake for dessert; I've heard it’s the best!

Don't normally write reviews, but this place changed that. The atmosphere is nice, active, and friendly. Its clean. The music creates a pleasant, and fun vibe. The workers were welcoming. And the food? DELICIOUS! Plain and simple. The ox tail was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Rice was nicely seasoned but not too much. Mac and cheese was super tasty. I had the passion fruit juice to drink, which was so refreshing! Definitely got my money's worth and I WILL be back!

Not only is inside the spot like a breath of fresh air soon as you walk in but the food is equally fresh and flavorful!! The rice and peas was nice and moist and this soursop juice is DELICIOUS. The staff was also so sweet and informative over all AMAZING energy this my new spot fs !!

Amazing food and even better staff. Have been going there ever since it open. The oxtail, bbq chicken and the Pattie’s are delicious. I also tried their breakfast and omg it’s definitely a most. The lines are long but it’s worth it. Unique has finally given us the best Caribbean food in Newburgh.

This is a small place that emphasizes food and not the ambiance of the restaurant. I didn't notice any seating, but a decent amount of selection. The server was very polite and oddly weighed out the portion, before adding it to my tray. This would suggest that there have been issues with portion quantity . Can't say for certain. The food was tasty and enjoyable, but certainly not the best Jamaican food ive had. PRICEY , so be prepared. Overall, keep in mind its not bad, there is better, take out only, and pricey for the food. Just an honest review for the consumer, remember,...you might get my good money once, but never twice

Well, in my opinion, the food is good. But the amount they give for the price is not. I spent over $30 and I would not have had a problem with that, If the amount of meat matched the price. They measure the meat, but not the sides and the cost is for the meat. Once again, not down playing the food.

Too Good To Go order: While the rice and plantain were good, I was only allowed to have meat from the food in the back kitchen, despite there being other meat available in the main customer area. The chicken I got was too tough to eat. I asked if I could have a different meat choice from the front of the store but I was told that those are not available for the "Too Good To Go" customers (despite them closing in less than 30 minutes). I appreciate the "Too Good To Go" program, but I won't return to an establishment that only gives inedible food unless you pay full price.

After trying this place 3 separate times , I conclude that the rice and peas are as the Sahara and almost guaranteed you’ll need a drink to survive eating it, the chicken was also dry…like Jerky and has 0 authentic Jamaican dish flavors. The steamed vegetables are decent, but it may just be that everything else was terrible and they happened to be just a little better then the other , I do not recommend eating here , I’d recommend going toward the river another 5 minutes to get real food

Don't order for pick up..I hate to say this because I want to promote this business. The food was greasy, old and over priced. Had to throw it away and vent my anger here because the people who work there are kind and wonderful but they should know better than to serve this type of slop.

I have supported this business since it opened. For the most part my experiences have been good and the food quality has been decent. I recently went to purchase an oxtail meal and was surprised by the notice that they are no longer selling oxtail meals but rather oxtail by the pound at the cost of $25 per pound plus tax which seems very expensive given you still have to pay for sides as well. So basically for a meal you will be around $40 a meal.

Dont be fooled by the reviews!!! I Went there because the reviews were so great and come to find Out that this male Cashier is asking people for their phones/ devices, scanning the review plaque on the counter and forcing people to leave five star reviews. when the man asked me if I had a phone on me and if I did To give it to him so I can leave a review.., I’d lied to him and said it was in the car because I was not leaving a review. The food did not look good. It looked old. That area was about the food was in was not clean, and there were flies in the establishment.. not to mention, the service was very slow because there’s only one person dishing up the food and the other guy is the cashier that is forcing people to leave the reviews.. Please don’t be fooled By these reviews.

We have been a Customer for me for many years And raved about the food. However, recently the food has deteriorated in quality. we ordered dinner menu of oxtails with peas and rice, and the rice was dry, and the oxtails were cut in half and only four pieces it was oily and tasteless. The food was lukewarm as if it was sitting there all day. The Jamaican patties were dry, like the desert and awful. This was once a fantastic place where I sent people and now I won’t. past few times I’ve gone. The food has been terrible. And I will not return
