Blue Bottle Coffee in Newport Beach is known for its high-quality coffee, including lattes and the NOLA. The ambiance is modern and cool, though seating can be limited due to a shared workspace arrangement with Hanahaus. Some find it pricey.
Tip: Be aware that seating may be limited due to the shared workspace and may require a reservation or extra payment to sit in certain areas. Consider ordering the NOLA or a simple latte.

My absolute favorite coffee shop. I found them in San Francisco and was thrilled when this one opened in Southern California. I love the coffee so much, I now have the beans delivered to me in Orlando! Whenever I’m in town, I always visit this cafe. The pour over is my favorite with half and half. Always an excellent cup of coffee. Smooth and never bitter. The cafe is beautifully located on the bay, so you can take in the sights. There is a lot of seating outside as well as a few seats inside. I love the natural wood, clean atmosphere. Very minimalist. The staff is consistently helpful and friendly. Always a great experience. See you again when I’m back in town.
It’s been three years since my last visit. I visited here last Sunday to try Black Cardamom Latte. This Blue Bottle Coffee Shop is right next to the dock, so the view is the best of any Blue Bottle Coffee Shop! However, please note that you must make a reservation at hanahaus to have a table right in front of the dock. It was Sunday Morning, but the instructions on the parking meter were confusing, so I came in to the shop and asked the staff. But they also did not have clear information about street parking because they usual park at designated employee parking spaces. However a really friendly staff went to the parking meter himself to check and informed me that the parking meter would operate from 1pm on Sunday, so I was able to park without a problem. Although it was rainy and cloudy, I was happy with black cardamom latte and a delicious sandwich. Once again, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the friendly staff. 👍
Amazing coffee here and seating is outside. I recommend the cookie and the waffles sometimes they’ll run out at the end of the day. I ordered a simple latte and my friend order a seasonal black cardamom latte one which was so good. Parking may be hard to come by but there’s a large parking lot next to the marine store
One of the best coffee I had in North America, both hot and cold. Place is mixed with rental office space. You have to pay extra to sit and open a laptop. Interesting concept. Friendly barista. Woth visiting again.
Blue Bottle is my go-to. Great coffee, cool spot, perfect for hanging or working.
Great ambiance. Love the coffee here. It shares the place with a coworking space, Hana House where you pay $4 an hour to be there.
10/10 on everything I tried here. From the matcha and latte to the croissants and avocado toast. This is a great place to grab coffee with friends and walk around to the shops
I highly recommend Blue bottle coffee, not only are all the coffee options good but the staff is super friendly & helpful with drink options. The NOLA is my favorite & you can’t go wrong with the drip coffee is you want something more simple.
We had a great time here. From the vibe, service, coffee itself, patient and detailed introduction to all the products.

Delicious coffee! I've only had blue bottle once before, so I can't fairly compare to when I had it previously, but I had a drip coffee of their Uganda coffee beans and it was quite good! The barista did a good job describing the options and how they differed.
So happy I found this place, now I don't have to go to San Francisco for my coffee fix. I love Blue Bottle and I would go to SF for it. The staff here are awesome, the coffee is of course amazing and the food selection is pretty good (and delicious). Highly recommend a visit.
Excellent service, and a great roasted matcha thingy with some sort of house made sweetener. I was half asleep, but it was delicious. Jeremy (ugh, I think that was his name) was super knowledgeable and friendly. I’ll definitely be back.
This Blue Bottle is partnered with HanaHaus which is a stunning Coworking space. I can’t think of a better way to work. Harbor views. Blue bottle coffee. Next to the fire place in HanaHaus. I’ve also sat at the blue bottle communal work space (which is free) or outside. Mocha perfection every time. Order in a takeaway cup though because they use very small cups if it’s not takeaway.
Finally, I got Blue bottle:) This place is shared with Hanahaus, open working place. If you want to use seats of Hanahaus, you need to make a reservation! But few tables of Blue bottle are free to have.(including outside table). Have a great coffee here friends.
Delicious cold brew and amazing, kind, welcoming staff. Annabelle in particular had amazing customer service and made my friends and I feel right at home. Definitely a must visit if you’re in LA!
Nice place. With a convenient coworking space. The coffee, tea and pastries were wonderful.
Jeremy and crew are just "fantastische". They enhance the vibrant workspace at the SAP/ HanaHaus facility! Great customer service. 4 thumbs up.
Great coffee place! But, if you want to sit on the water, you do have to reserve & pay thru haufhouse.
My all time favorite coffee place. Their sweet latte is to die for. Wish there were more locations!
Best matcha in SoCal! Staff great too!
Love blue bottle. They have amazing latte even though their pastry choices are minimal they are still great. This location has a nice outdoor seating
Excellent coffee, excellent experience and what a location. Such a good place to go for so many different reasons. Just go, you won't be disappointed.
The best Speciality coffee in USA
Same delicious coffee, oceanside vibe, and good service! Highly recommend for a quick stop on your Lido tour.
I love this coffee shop. Blue Bottle is super high quality coffee and they make the best flat white I’ve had In Orange County. They use oat milk by default so that saves me $1 each time. It is part of a co-working space so seating is limited unless you are paying for the space which is $4/hr. Their pastries and cookies are phenomenal and the service has been great every time I’ve been.
The coffee shop is so so nice, but it comes with a price. You should be aware of parking fee and seating fee coming along with a visit at Blue Coffee. Other than than that, the place is too aesthetic that you would not wanna leave. There are also meeting rooms up and downstairs. Restrooms are so clean, too! Definitely worth the price.
Had an iced NOLA and a waffle. They are to die for together. It was so delicious I forgot to take pictures. The waffle batter is made fresh and cooked to order by the way.
Blue bottle rarely ever disappoints. Coffee selection is great, ambience is great and their pastries and limited selection of food even are outstanding. Main complaint here is that parking is really hard to find, and if you want to grab a quick coffee on the way to work, it’s not going to work as they don’t have a quick parking zone or pickup parking. Pricing is to be expected, but is higher that competitors. For sit down orders you can request ceramic mugs and cups which makes the experience more rich.
Great coffee as always but if you want to sit inside you have to pay by the hour at Hana house which we didn’t mind it’s easy to download the app
They are about $1-2 more than any average coffee shops. But this places make the best coffee in the area. They are doing to something different. Their cappuccinos are great. Try. You won’t regret it
usually I try to stay away from chains, especially while traveling but this place does a great job and the first I found in the area doing pour overs. chill vibes inside and out. staff was happy and friendly. to me it says a lot if the staff give off good energy to customers and coworkers.
As always, Blue Bottle has a warm atmosphere, great food, and amazing coffee. This one in located in Hanahaus, which is some kind of shared work space thing, but there's plenty of seating available and the harbor views are very relaxing. Parking around here is always a nightmare, but you can find public parking a few blocks away. I think it's well worth the hassle 😁
Very nice coffee shop, adjacent to a workspace. Pleasant barristers. They offer oatmilk for their lattes and 2 espresso shots are standard. Apple juice w/ tons of pulp and in a glass bottle was expectedly delicious. The snickerdoodle did not disappoint either. The outdoor seating is nice even though it's not on the deck facing the marina. It's our new favorite coffee spot in Newport Beach.
Amazing staff! Friendly light hearted and among the best coffee in the area with views overlooking the water. Conveniently adjoins the co-working space HanaHaus for those on the move looking to get some work/study done with a light snack and a good coffee.
New Orleans style coffee was to die for and their espresso is the smoothest I’ve ever had.
We visited Blue Bottle Coffee on 3/4 and the team that was working in the afternoon towards close was amazing! Not only we’re the drinks amazing but they we’re very knowledgeable and helped us pick out the right beans for us to take home. If your looking for a solid, proper, and great coffee experience look no further!
Their cafe latte ( hot) is one of the best lattes i’ve had in my life! Hands down! It’s just insanely good! Always a 10/10 everytime!!!💗 their blondie & waffles are top as well! my fave coffee spot for sure!
Had the Winter NOLA and it was delicious and unique. Very refreshing for a coffee drink! Also the ham and cheese croissant was perfect. Jeremy was super nice and even let me sample some drinks ahead of time to make sure I got what I wanted. I’ll definitely go back. PS I went on a sunny Saturday morning and relatively close street parking was easy to find.
We visited on a Friday afternoon as a large family group. The gentleman patiently and enthusiastically answered all our questions, and I truly appreciated how attentively he took care of my father. His excellent service made our experience especially enjoyable
Can’t beat the views of this Blue Bottle. Starting your morning with views of the harbor while sipping a cappuccino is sublime. A big corporate parent hasn’t made the original specialty chain dip in quality one bit (kudos to Nestle for letting them do their thing unencumbered!). As a SF transplant it’s great to have BBC in the NPB.
The same Blue Bottle quality, service and design we expect nestled in Newport Beach harbor. Be aware that this location is embedded in a co-working business. There is very limited indoor seating. The outside seating is awesome, but not on the bay side. I took the opportunity for a peaceful walk along the water front. Delicious coffee and a sunrise, nothing better
I had Spiced Nola which was like cardamom spiced Vietnamese coffee. Spice was just right, I really liked it. Staff was friendly and spacious. Clean bathroom was plus. Though this location is shared with coworkers space. So not Blue bottle review from this point. All of seating space has to be prepaid at $4/hr per person. Consider this location, probably not that bad, except you had to spend a few minutes to set up your account was a bit time consuming. Hope they can make it more simple for one time visitors. We took outside of seating and enjoyed beautiful water view.
Their cafe latte ( hot) is one of the best lattes i’ve had in my life! Hands down! It’s just insanely good! Always a 10/10 everytime!!!💗 their blondie & waffles are top as well! my fave coffee spot for sure!
This is such a weird little Blue Bottle Coffee outpost, but it serves up the delicious espresso you know and love from the amazing company. It's located inside a shared workspace type office, so they ask you to keep quiet, LOL. There isn't much seating at all, and the coffee bar is a little outshoot from the main workspace rental area. I guess it's great if you're paying for a spot but otherwise, this isn't a location where you can sit and work and sip espresso all day long. Parking is next to impossible, so be warned. I was lucky that my hubby was able to drop me off and drive around the block a few times so I could run in a fetch coffee for us. We ended up drinking it in the car. This Blue Bottle does have stunning views of the adjacent marina, with lots of fancy pants boats just steps outside. The coffee was exactly what you expect from a Blue Bottle: high quality, pricey, and done just right. My macchiato was excellent and worth every penny (in my opinion). If you need your Blue Bottle fix, you won't be disappointed in this location.
Blue Bottle at Lido in Newport has long been one of my go-to spots for a coffee that feels both elevated and comforting—right by the water with that signature Blue Bottle vibe: clean, modern, and quietly cool. Their cappuccino and flat white are consistently excellent, with beautifully textured microfoam and smooth espresso. The baristas here really know what they’re doing—thoughtful, skilled, and always kind. You can tell they care about every cup. That said, I was disappointed to see they’ve recently stopped offering organic Clover milk. It was one of the things that set them apart—knowing that the milk matched the integrity of their beans. While the coffee is still top-notch, it’s a noticeable shift for those of us who prioritize organic ingredients. On the pour-over side, they offer a great selection of single-origin options and are always happy to guide you if you’re not sure what to pick. I usually go for a medium roast, and it’s always smooth and flavorful without being too acidic. The pastries here are another highlight—the almond croissant is a must, especially warmed up. But my personal obsession? The waffle. It’s unlike anything else—light, crisp, and almost custardy inside. They’ve also added overnight oats and a few other health-forward options for days you want something lighter. Overall, I still love this location for the experience and the baristas, but I do hope they reconsider bringing back organic milk—it made a great coffee even better.
I ordered a matcha latte at Blue Bottle Coffee and it was smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced—not too bitter or sweet. The café has a calm vibe, great for working or relaxing. A bit pricey, but worth it for the quality.
Edit: 2/9/2024 I added the menu picture. I can't believe the prices. They have great coffee. The reason for 4 stars is that there are not enough seats because most seats are not part of Blue Bottle - It is operated by Hanahaus, which is seat renting business -. If you want to seat a cozy area, it's $4/hour/person.
Blue Bottle Coffee in Corona Del Mar is a coffee lover's haven. Their espresso drinks are expertly prepared and the beans are top-notch. The minimalist, chic decor adds to the overall experience. A must-visit for coffee aficionados!
I had a breakfast 😋 Was really good quality is awesome service is great. but I gave 4 stars because at the end is kind of too expensive. I paid 32 usd see the pictures what I've got
Coffee was great. One of the best coffees in socal that I’ve tried. My dad is a very tough critic regarding coffee and to my surprise loved the coffee and even bought a bag of their coffee beans to take home. Service was good. Only downside is that this is a workspace and only some community tables belonged to the coffee shop, to sit inside you will need to pay $4 per person which is bizarre to me, on top of the pricey coffee itself. I payed around 26 dollars not including tip for 3 small lattes and a cookie. Other than that a great experience which I would recommend to try at least once. Beautiful views of lido.
Their coffee is good - it’s just getting a little out of hand w the prices…. Cold brew and iced oat milk latte = $12.50!! Also - this location is inside a Hana Haus (co-work space). And while the building is beautiful and the location is amazing - cafe customers don’t get to enjoy it quite as much.

I have been visiting this place for relaxing the weekend with a good cup of a coffee. Latte is my go to item always. The first time that I visited this place was almost 8 months back, and the price was $4. The next visit since 3 months back, the price went up a dollar. NOW, the Latte is $6, and don't think it's worth it anymore.
3 coffees and 1 plain black tea ordered; place has tables and room for work area (indoor and outdoor seating). Noted a small water bowl and a jar with doggie biscuit treats near adjacent grass outside coffee place.
Convenient place, next to the marina and shopping area. Co-shared space with an open office so the nicer marina views are reserved for those. Coffee is good and service very attentive. First time I tried the iced floater (didn’t know that there would be an ice cream ball floating on my coffee) and I am not a fan. Maybe because I am not a local, I didn’t know what to choose from the menu for a normal iced coffee 😅
Officially reached being overrated. Would rather shop small instead of go to a blue bottle. You can count on a decent cup of coffee when you go though
Delicious coffee! I got the mocha coffee with no sweetener and it had a very rich taste. Loved it! Staff was nice and greeted me immediately. A small cup of coffee was $7 a bit expensive but worth it! The place was very clean. Would definitely recommend!
Consistently great coffee. I have a love/hate relationship with this location because I love Blue Bottle. I would happily buy from this location every day if the parking situation didn't suck so much. I get that parking isn't something this shop have too much control over, but I feel it is fair for people to know not to expect an easy "pull into the parking lot and walk up" experience like you typically would with most coffee shops.
Grateful for them serving me a couple minutes before opening. But $5.50 for a croissant and $6 for a chocolate croissant that is stale is a rip off. They shouldn't be serving patisseries from the day before, or only offer them at a discount like in French boulangeries (where you get the choice to pay full price for fresh or less for day old).
So you can buy coffee but don't expect to sit anywhere to enjoy it 🙄 Nobody in the back so we sat to stare at the million dollar yachts that we can't afford, then were told we are not allowed to sit there. It's $4 an hour (outside chairs that not one person was sitting in) I believe only for their clientele to rent. A real snooty vibe that is not for me. My coffee wasn't great but the other two were good. The guy that gave us the boot was nice about it lol so that's why I gave them 3 stars
First time at blue bottle since the old SF garage days. My latte was straight room temp tho. I wanted to bring it up to them but a group of like 8 German tourists had just queued up. If there’s a next time I’ll ask for extra hot.
The staff of the coffee portion seemed very friendly and knowledgeable, but the Hanahaus (directly adjoined) were short and not accommodating at all. We were going to sit and enjoy the coffees and croissant we purchased on this cold, wet day inside in the warm and we were asked to move - the seating of the coffee space was very limited. Ultimately, it was off-putting. I give the coffee 4 stars - a little overpriced, but good flavor and variety. The available space to enjoy your drinks or coffee is quite small; I would give that 2 stars. We’re from out of town and walked 20 mins to try this place out; afterwards, I wish we would have just stayed with options closer to the beach.
Very disappointing, I chose blue bottle coffee for my morning coffee because I was expecting to sit on the backside with views to the bay as promoted in many picture on google. To my surprise, when I wanted to sit there they told us it was only for the working space (which you have to pay). Besides the lack of seating and misleading advertising, the price is outrageaous. 6.5 dollars for a small latte that doesn’t have anything special other than the nice cup. Other than that, the baristas were nice.

The black tea and apple danish were good and the presentation is really cute. However, the tables and the chairs are actually part of a separate establishment so you cannot actually sit there unless you have a reservation. So unfortunately, there’s only one table where you can sit if you are a blue bottle coffee customer. It is not the type of coffee shop where you can sit, but it does have a very pretty view.
Their business model is to rent the table to use as a workspace. You can’t just order a coffee and sit. We didn’t know that. It was my groups first time. They kicked us out 15 minutes after we had all placed our orders. We wished we would’ve gotten our coffees across the street where we could sit too.

Cautious Before Going !!! If you want to find a coffee shop to chill and relax, this is not the place for you. They shared the space with SAP and the building staff will not let you sit there although it says open seating everywhere. They charge $4/hour for seating unless you go outside. Definitely worth it after you paid $7 for a coffee and you can't even enjoy it? They should put a sign outside telling people they charge $4/hour for seating and let people can decide if they want to shop here.

place and coffee are good but the cashier was not respectful and welcoming for our questions and orders( I can conceder it rude way to treat your customer), it will be first and last visit . Good luck
Nice spot with limited seating. Half area is rented by somebody else and you cannot sit. Barely seating during peak hours! Price is always pricey!
You pay for parking first then coffee then to have a seat 😂. One coffee cost me almost 14$
Never heard of a place where they charge $4 a person for inside seating. Plus have to pay for parking ,and coffee is not that great yet $5 for small cup. Only good thing cookies and pastries. Total disappointment. 😪
I paid for a mocha latte but I wouldn’t allow to sit down the table I wanted cuz I am not a new port beach resident. They said the indoor tables and chairs are for the New Port beach residents. My friend and I drank the coffee , enjoying (?) sunshine in out side @2pm. There is no the written sign anywhere in the coffee house. The guy who works for the store came to me , saying most of tables are reserved for the NEw port resident.. I won’t go back to the blue bottle coffee house ever. The coffeehouse is not a civic center
Overrated coffee with limited seating area. My Americano coffee has a sour after taste (visited on 06/01/19). I'm not sure if this is a typical thing with Blue Bottle but I am sticking with Peet's for sure.
The coffee taste is below the standard of blue bottle than other stores.
Paid $9 for a basic matcha and then was told we couldn’t sit down and had to sit outside (on hard benches) because we were not paying members of Hanna House. They offered us seats for $4 per person, per hour. This place should not be marketed as a coffee shop open to the public. It’s a members only coworking space with a coffee bar inside. When we arrived it was 7:30AM and the entire place was empty.
Snobby, coffee shop that is extremely overpriced. Cashier was rude. Really weird hippy shop? They said they don’t have any coffee flavors (vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut, etc) so I asked for honey and they said they don’t even have that either lol. One cappuccino was $8?! The menu was wrong and so was the display case too. They also told us to take our dogs outside but let other people keep their dogs inside.
Probably the slowest Blue Bottle in California. Been a couple times and so so slow. Also the cashier was in the back for at least 20 mins before coming out to take my order. Then the barista is super slow and seems to only do one task at a time. Def need more hustle at this location.
5 stars for coffee (really good iced latte) 0 star for service Will not return, do not like the whole experience They seem so uninterested with anyone walking. Surprised with how arrogant and un-friendly both barista & counter staff could be. Writing this as i am still sipping the coffee in my car.
