If you want to have quick, delicious, authentic South Indian food, Murugan Cafe at Niagara Falls, NY should be in your list.
Fast food that is both delicious as well as feels homemade. Enjoyed parotta with kurma
The mysore masala dosa was absolutely amazing! Perfectly balanced flavors, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. It’s a must-try for anyone visiting
I went to this restaurant for dinner last night. The best South Indian authentic food. very good food and the staff working there were also very friendly.
Really nice and authentic South Indian food here . Don’t waste time and money somewhere else , just visit Murugan Cafe whenever you visit Niagraa Falls .
Tons of Indian food option in the area but this one was the best south Indian food with a lot of Jain options was a life saver for me. Only cons: unrelated to food, this place lack of centralized cooling
Liked the food, kids liked the ghee masala dosa, and we loved the taste and crispy medu vada little expensive but happy
Must try their dosas and filter coffee .Very authentic .Self service food was served quick.Fresh and taste food
Loved the idly and ghee pongal. The quality of the food is good and taste great.location is very convenient walkable from falls
The sister of my favorite restaurant(banana leaf grand). Supurbe food. Great for vegitarians. There is not a word in english to describe how delicious this food is.
Food here is really amazing, Mysore masala dosa and ghee podi dosa were delicious. Highly recommend South Indian cuisine when visiting Niagara falls NY.
Food was very good but looks expensive. Can increase quantity on rice items, Highly recommend this place Awesome vada dosa
Amazing South Indian food, especially crispy dosas served with home-style sambar and chutneys. The parottas were soft and fluffy, just like we get in India. It is located right opposite Niagara State Park.
So excited to see vegetarian south Indian restaurant in Niagara falls. The food was amazing. I ordered ghee podi dosa . It was out of the world.
We came here for a quick stop over and the food was amazing and aziz Anna was so hospitable and treated us like family .
Authentic south Indian food. Felt like had food in TN. Best breakfast I had in US
Food taste and quality is good .This place is the best option for South Indian food at Niagara Falls. We had dosas and Hyderabad veg biryani both were the best
The food was awesome, authentic South Indian masala dosa and urad wada sambar the best of ever I have tasted. Hats off to the chef for such indian tasty food..highly recommend..
Excellent food. Very good service. The order was delivered very quick and the food was very tasty. Parotta with Kurma and Dosai was my favorites.
Very nice food, especially if you are looking for proper South Indian food. Loved their ghee masala dosa. I would highly recommend.
Food is delicious!!! mainly all varieties of dosas are good and filter coffee is a must try! recommend muruga cafe for sure if visiting niagara
I am coming from Texas and while visiting niagara falls i have been to this Murugan Cafe. The food is really good and specifically mysore masala dosa was amazing. Must visit place.
One of the best, we went after kitchen close, but they were very humble, and they gave food, we personally appreciate, dosa and idly with that sambar make us overwhelming, thanks lot, and we highly recommend Murugan cafe.
Amazing food, we ordered couple of items, everything was amazing!!! I strongly recommend this store for everyone who wants a good food after visiting the falls…
Really good food, better than New York City and New Jersey. Proper authentic veg Indian food you could have.
Great food, but somewhat expensive. Ok with that given the location and convenience. hope you guys stop using disposable cutlery, extremely eco unfriendly option
Authentic South Indian flavors! Crispy dosa, flavorful sambar rice, and the best filter coffee. Quick service and fastfood vibe make it a must-visit spot!
If u want to have the best madras coffee in niagara,NY pls try here. We had ghee masala dosa as well it was very nice and tasty. Self service is little tuff but otherwise it was a good experience.
Visited Murugan Café today near Niagara Falls and had an absolutely amazing dosai—it tasted just like the authentic ones back home in Tamil Nadu. The crispness, flavor, combo brought back nostalgic memories. The taste was so good that I couldn’t resist and ended up eating an extra dosai! A special shoutout and appreciation to the dosai master (I believe his name is Nagaraj). Great experience overall. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving true South Indian flavors!
Amazing south Indian food ... It's a vegetarian restaurant having delicious food. Can't imagine having such a yummy idli vada , curd rice and sambar rice . Food was amazing and hospitality was superb. The owner Vijay is so humble and welcoming person. Must go and visit if u went to Niagra falls. Highly recommend. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻🌹🌹🌹🌹❤️☝️🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
The food was awesome. We ordered Plain ghee dosa, ghee podi dosa, parotta kurma, mysore masala dosa and all of them were freshly prepared and given. Their filter coffee was great too. The staffs were kind and helpful. Only thing i wish is they have more seating space.
Visited Niagara fall in USA for the first time and this restaurant is the best stop so far. Great customer service and Abdul Azees is really friendly. Would highly recommend.
Great South Indian food 6 min from the Canadian border and right across the Hyatt Place Buffalo NY. The coffee is delicious! A MUST! Prices are a bit on the high side but that's what all tourist areas charge!
Loved the food even at 10.30pm after the fireworks, they gave us hot idilies and dosa . Filter Coffee was ultimate .Simply awesome . Definitely recommend this place for nice South indian food . Limited menu but worth it .
Delicious vegetarian! Right by the front entrance to the state park. Staff was super helpful and suggested some dishes. Came over to ask how we liked it and then sent us with an extra of our favorite chutney!
The food is really great, and their hospitality is amazing! The staff are warm, welcoming, and make you feel right at home. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again!
Food was excellent and authentic south Indian! The best for south indian food in Niagara falls, NY. This is a fast food style vegetarian restaurant with limited menu items and was crowded at the dinner time but it was definitely worthy. Easily accessible from the falls area and welcome center. We loved the food and will go while in this area.
The food was delicious/flavorful/well-prepared and made the visit truly enjoyable. This place gets you the authentic South Indian taste. The porota with Veg Kurruma was stand out. The moment you enter, the aroma immediately makes you feel hungry and sets the mood.
Great food. Limited menu so don’t expect lot of options. But whatever they serve is made fresh and tastes good. prices are on higher side but may be due to the location. It is right next to the falls.
Best South Indian restaurant near Niagara Falls! Delicious dosas, great coffee, and friendly service. A must-visit!
The food here is absolutely EXTRAORDINARY! I’ve lived and traveled across several Eastern states, and I’ve never had such authentic South Indian Tamil food. We ordered ghee dosa, idli, and vada with sambar and two chutneys, finishing with a perfect Madras-style filter coffee. The ghee dosa 🧡 was exactly how it should be juicy, crispy, and full of flavor. The sambar tasted just like homemade. The staff were so kind and welcoming, they even gave me a Ven Pongal sample, and it was delicious, just like home cooking. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. If you’re in the area, definitely check out this place, you won’t be disappointed! 🧡
Exceptional food, service and hospitality. The owner is very kind and polite. We ordered medu vada, idli, dosa and all of them were excellent 👍🏽. Keep up the good work.
I recently visited this cafe and had the dosa and vada and I must say, they were absolutely delicious! The flavors instantly took me back to the kind of authentic South Indian food I grew up with. The food quality was excellent, and everything tasted fresh and perfectly prepared. I was also really impressed with the hygiene and overall maintenance of the place super clean and well-kept. The staff, along with the management, were incredibly friendly and responsive, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re craving a nostalgic Indian meal that hits all the right notes, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
Authentic South Indian food in Niagara Falls and name of the restaurant is Lord Muruga is beautiful. Love the food taste and hot filter coffee.
Hands down one of the best South Indian joint although prices are on the higher side probably due to the location. The Dosa and filter coffee are amazing!
Yummy south indian food ! Very close to Niagara State park! Loved it

Authentic South Indian dishes and freshly prepared. Apart from this, the chef and his assistant were very kind, genuine and truly reflected Atithi devo bhava 🙏🏻😊. Thank you for the experience and such hospitality makes us come back over and over again. Please open another pure Veg cafe in the Detroit region, with the same chef and there is no proper south Indian veg restaurant in the Detroit metropolitan region. Keep up the good work!
Great south Indian food. Very authentic. Pongal was our favorite apart from Dosa and other items. Quick service. Their filter coffee was great!! We returned back the next day. Pricing is a bit at a higher end considering the location and proximity to the park
We tasted their sambaar rice, veg biryani and drank masala tea. Almost after 15 days of American tour ,finally had our comfort food. The sambaar rice was hot with lots of veges and ghee. Soul satisfying experience. Just loved it.
We tried the parota with kurma along with other tiffins like dosa, sambar idly, and ghee pongal. The parota was the highlight – soft, flaky, and delicious with the kurma. The other items were also good and satisfying. A great spot for authentic South Indian food near Niagara Falls! Pandi and palani one of the best chefs were so friendly with customers. Very satisfied with the food.

As a South Indian, their dosas were of good standard. That’s the only dish we had.
Good South Indian food near Prospect park. The Sambhar could be much better. No AC - so that’s a bummer for the weather.
We had Podi Dosa, Idly and Madras coffee here. It was the best South Indian food I had in USA
Food is real good. Probably best south indian restaurant in the region. Would be crowded for dine ins. But if its good south indian food you are looking for , then this is the place.
A newly opened cafe offering a wide range of South Indian dishes. The place is clean, the staff is courteous, and the food tastes great. However, the prices are slightly on the higher side for each item. The interiors could be better too.
We got sambar rice, parotta and kurma and buttermilk. We went at 10:45pm at closing time, but despite that everything tasted fresh and excellent. Sambar rice was nice and hot!! Parothas were flaky and perfect. We also had the filter coffee another day and it was very authentic. And the awesome thing is it is an all vegetarian restaurant. Great to have this option near Niagra. Please keep up your quality and consistency while your cater to thousands of visitors everyday. Kudos on the establishment. Only negative is prices are bit on the higher end
We visited as a family of six and enjoyed a variety of dishes including idli, plain dosa, masala dosa, ghee pongal, parotta, and lassi. Everything was delicious! However, the bathrooms were disappointing — they were not well-maintained, lacked toilet paper, and didn’t feel clean enough, especially for kids.
Food was delicious. Menu is fully South Indian cuisine. Customer service was excellent. Hard to find tables. Wait time was around 15 to 20 minutes over a weekend. Sambar vadai was having too much black pepper. Price was high. It’s hard to find parking, better to leave the car in maid of the mist parking lot 1 and reach here by walk. Will recommend this place for South Indian food.
Recently had a brunch with family at Murgan Cafe. The dosa, idli, and vada were delicious. However, the food being served in disposable containers wasn't ideal. Given the prices, I expected a bit more in terms of quality and quantity. Despite that, it was a nice change to have South Indian food after a while. Overall, a decent experience.
The dosa was absolutely delicious and the samosa were enjoyable. The mango lassi was creamy and thick. We are not vegetarian but we loved it.
Very good authentic South Indian food in Niagara Falls , NY ..Dosa & Sambar / chutney tasted so authentic & Tamil Nadu style .. Filter coffee was also very good .👍
Food was great … perfect south indian taste … But limited menu options .

It’s very small. It’s a bit expensive for the quality of food. Parotta kurma and dosa are good . Sambar and sambar rice are not that great for the price.
Dosa is better not the best.coconut Chutneys are not good. Decent food but the place need air condition. It’s so hot to be here in summer.
Dosas were good, chutney and sambar were super cold. Parotta was good. Very expensive restaurant. Coffee was good. Taste is not worth for money spent.
hyderabadi dum biryani was good, all menu items were relatively good. However all food was very overpriced.
You can get some good authentic south indian food here, but the menu is overpriced. maybe the prices can be justified by the location of the restaurant..
Visited Murugan Cafe in Niagara Falls, NY on August 3rd around 10:45 PM. Overall, it was a decent late night stop if you’re craving South Indian vegetarian food. We tried the parotta with veg kurma and a dosa. The parotta was flaky and filling, and the kurma had good flavor, though it could’ve been a bit hotter and more consistent. The dosa was crispy and freshly made, but the chutneys and sambar felt slightly average, just nothing standout. The place was busy and had a family crowd, which gave it an authentic vibe. It’s self-service, so don’t expect much table service, but things were fairly organized even with the rush. Seating is simple and functional, nothing fancy. Good option if you’re nearby and want something familiar late at night, but there’s still room to improve in consistency and overall experience.
It’s just like a fast food outlet, place your order, pay and then when they call out your number, go pick up your food, tried the dosa and ghee rice, dosa was ok, ghee rice a total disaster.

No running water to wash hands and service is bad. Quantity of chutneys and sambar less. Dont fall for lord Murugan’s name and tamil cuisine. Mediocre food much pricier for the quantity and quality.
We ordered a ghee masala dosa, a plain masala dosa, and filter coffee. The ordering process was quick and easy. However, the potato and sambar had an old smell and doesn't taste good. I informed them about this, but no action was taken. I will never return. Don't charge premium for awful food.
The food quality is okay and not good for the price they charge. Secondly, you will hardly find any place to sit and eat, due to less number of tables and chairs. Also, it is not clean at all. The owner only cares about getting the order and fulfillment of it, but doesn’t care if customers have place to eat food or not. They do not clean tables and chairs even if it is dirty. I would only recommend this place if you do not find any option else where and you need to just fill your stomach.
Considering the price we’re paying, the quality of the food is below average. The sambar was watery, the idlis were rubbery, and the different masala dosa varieties lacked flavor and were quite bland.
Recently we went to naiagara falls . After hearing reviews we thought this will be best for tiffins . We ordered 3 parottas and one onion chilli dosa its simple order . After taking order home it has only 2 parottas and one dosa . Since we are little far away from restaurant we couldnt go back . We tried calling but no one picked up . People who are ordering better to check all things before going home otherwise they will missup few . Due to high prices we can not leave everything lite .
Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the The prices at this restaurant are simply exorbitant and completely unjustifiable. They charge $19 for a dosa, which is outrageous considering this is a self-service spot with no notable ambiance. You place your own order, collect your food, and even the seating area feels like an afterthought. We ordered 3 items and ended up paying around $70, which left us genuinely surprised — and not in a good way. The quantity and quality of the food absolutely don’t match the price. On top of that, the menu is very limited, so you don’t even get a range of options for what you’re paying. If you’re a vegetarian with absolutely no other options, then maybe give it a try.
Tried the idli and the food tasted really good, soft, flavorful, and fresh. However, I noticed the chef was not wearing gloves and was handling all the ingredients with bare hands. While the taste was great, better hygiene practices would definitely improve the overall experience.
Very expensive for a self service tiffin corner.15 usd for a small dosa which is not even crispy at all.A rip off spot for tourist
Limited menu available with lot of conditions on good menu to see and 4 items available chutney smells curd rice available if you want to eat
Every item is overpriced, no taste and no hygiene. White chutney is like water and hand wash area deserves better arrangements. I don’t recommend this place.
Very expensive, average food and horrible atmosphere. Not recommended.
Pathetic place . Extremely high cost for the paltry food offered . No glasses also to drink water . An open jug with water filled god knows when . At 7 pm only all masala finished . God only knows who has given them such high ratings .
Ordered idly and masala dosa. Idly was hard and sambar/chutney had stale smell. Doesn’t live for the brand but pricey. Waste of money.
I have been here in a hotel close to Niagara Falls staying for 4 days and all the days obviously will be wanting our food so went to this Murugan cafe ,only for the dosa ,even though it is high priced I went coz it was ok to have for me as I am a vegetarian, but both the days when I ordered idli first day told was available and took order and then served only one plate saying that it is finished ! I got doubted by then that usually idlies are made fresh and how can they say it’s done? Then when I tasted I realized it is made way before and being reheated and served! I just kept quiet ! But my husband being fan of idli yesterday ordered idli again what came was a hard skinned rough idli and the server is covering saying that it was made at 5.30 pm while we went at 7 , will a idli turn that rough within hours I went and asked they refunded me , I ordered dosa again instead and had ! Same with Vada batter, it is too much fermented so can’t have it ! I were embarrassed how many times can go and ask for refund so tried talking to the server at the service point that I want to talk to your owner ? He said he is available outside, but I couldn’t talk to him , definitely if u serve better quality, word of mouth will spread and bring more customers , I had to eat there 5 times as I have no other veg option available in walkable distance , but it would have been better experience if the quality was good !
The worst experience visiting this place they don’t have proper timings. Hours on Saturday are 10am. They opened at 12pm and made customers outside the restaurant. I don’t how come these restaurants are setup in the tourist places. Atlast ordered onion dosa mentioned soft they made super crispy (not considering customer service). There is no space to eat inside requested to go after the order was already he want me to have while standing. Most overrated place not worth of waiting for authentic dosa. They don’t have idly in menu.
Hard skip this location and the banana leaf grand. Their coffee prices are outrageous, 6.99 for a filter coffee - that is highway robbery and it is definitely not that good, maybe if it was priced at 3.50$ it is ok.
Food is not worth it at all and not justified to its price Sambar had no flavor and chutney had no salt in it Dosa is not good Samosas are frozen even after frying the potato was frozen that too $4 per piece $18 for one dosa not justified WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL WASTE OF MONEY 100%
We ordered dosa and idli for lunch — both were average. The sambar was very bad, but we managed to eat a little since we were hungry. Unfortunately, the curd rice was spoiled. We informed the management, and they did refund our money. We still can’t believe spoiled food was served. We fell sick by night. More of like food poisoning. On top of that, there was no AC, so on a hot day, think twice before stepping in. I would rate this place 0 if I could but management in the kitchen were friendly and approachable than the front counter.
Besides the for the clean dining the atmosphere is decent but the food is kinda bland and not the south indian taste or experience I would expect out of a place that specializes in it dosa was ok but not prices are kinda high
One of the worst south indian take out restaurant every, I ordered 3 plain dosa,2 orders medhu vada, 2 filter coffee and 1 tea. Such a horrible taste, chutney and sambar smelled rotten, dosa was crunchy and dry. Within minutes we all had nausea and regurgitation, stomach upset and heartburn. I spent 145 US Dollars absolutely ripoff. No washroom and handwash place is little crawling spot. Poor hygine.
This isn’t even real Indian food. The sambar rice wasn’t sambar for those who know what real sambar is, the parotta tasted like it came out of a freezer and got tossed in a microwave, and the portions? Laughable for over $15. And for a place that’s self-service with nothing but disposable plates and utensils, those prices are just ridiculous. The servers or whatever they are, looked like they didn’t care to be there either. Honestly, if you want people to come back, you seriously need to step up your game. That is assuming you care about the restaurant as much as you care about your profits..
I ordered Sambar rice and received ghee pongal instead. When asked twice they insisted saying it was sambar rice even though it was ghee pongal as if one wouldn’t know the difference between sambar rice and ghee pongal. I would have ordered ghee pongal if I wanted to eat it but was forced to take it as they were not even listening to us.
