Always a great experience. We do always make a reservation and never have a wait. It has become our new go-to for a great steak..beating out some of OKC's best. It is a $200-$250 meal with food, great drinks, and tip for 2 (depending on what we order), and well worth it. We love to split the 26 oz. bone-in ribeye with 3 sample sides.
We didn't have a reservation but got seated quickly on Monday night. Great atmosphere, good service, tender steak, and delicious desserts. We had a private room for a family reunion. Great choice.
This was such an amazing time! Reach out to the Assistant manager to set up an amazing dinner! Charmian Conrad she did such a good job!!! Sincerely Matt & Kenda
Absolutely stunning steakhouse! The atmosphere is very classy with a touch of western and almost lounge like! The food was very delicious: the blue cheese Brussels Sprouts were showstoppers, and the steak was top 3 iv had in my life IMO. Robert, our server, made us feel like home, always checked in on us, very friendly and charismatic and recommended the Dolche De Leche and holy hell that was a 12/10, just DAMNNN! The GM David came by and was extremely friendly and we talked for about 10 min! To top it all off, a football celebrity (Whom I will not name for their respect) frequents the establishment time to time and they walked right by our table. Everyone there was so nice and friendly, and really that makes the dinner experience so much more enjoyable! We really can’t recommend The Ranch enough in Norman and although it’s a little pricey: you get fantastic quality, classy atmosphere and people who are friendly and give a damn. Absolutely will be coming back soon! A+
Stephanie is the BEST!! I even had to learn how to create a freaking google account just to leave of review, so if you get her; you are fortunate!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Oh the food was phenomenal!! My fillet was perfect!! The crab dip, smoked Mac n cheese, au gratin potatoes, and onion rings were delicious. The crème brûlée was on point. She even torched it right in front of us. It was all about the experience!!!
Wow!! Been waiting for a special occasion to dine here since moving to Oklahoma. being a chef and a ex restaurant owner, I appreciate great food and customer service. Every aspect of my dining experience was 5 ⭐️ . Walked in at opening with no reservations, not dressed for the occasion but was greeted with respect and smiles. They were able to accommodate us even on a Saturday night with no reservation. Stephanie was are server , I can’t say how wonderful and knowledgeable she was about the menu, drinks and specials, her table touches were delightful and welcoming. I play a game when I go out to eat called Hire or Fire. I would’ve hired Stephanie 100 times over and over again, You can tell she’s a well seasoned server and takes pride in her job. All the food was amazing. We really enjoyed the American Wagyu special and the escargot and chicken fried steak was perfect. Can’t wait to go back and try more options and definitely will request Stephanie to be our server again. Well Done ! From the host , to managers , bartenders , food runners and Chefs . Thank you
We were here Saturday early evening for the first time and we enjoyed the peaceful and quiet environment. It was not super busy for the time period we had our reservation. The food was delicious and our server was very kind and gracious. Even the bartender was nice and helpful when I just walked up to chat and inquire about some drinks. I definitely recommend this location and restaurant. We did not have a bad experience or bad food as the recent reviews said. Maybe it was an off week or two or possibly a chef change 🤷🏾♀️. Either way, we thoroughly enjoyed the environment, food, and service. Thank you for a delightful date night.
The Ranch Steakhouse is a beautiful establishment with pristine private dining rooms in various sizes, as well as a full-size dining room. The staff was consistently cordial and helpful. I ordered stuffed mushrooms, a seven-ounce filet, and broccoli. Warm rolls with butter was great. The food was very good. While the broccoli was disappointing, and another guest found their ribeye to have too much gristle (especially considering the price), the iced tea and coffee were wonderful. The Bananas Foster was a delightful way to end the meal. Management was attentive and apologized for the issue with the ribeye steak. However, the problem arose because two guests split one steak, and the chef divided it incorrectly. A ribeye is naturally fatty and gristly, which contributes to its flavor, and splitting it lengthwise can result in one half being predominantly fat and gristle. The dinner with family was enjoyable, and the staff was fantastic. Overall, it was a 5-star experience. Thanks….. Ranch Steakhouse!
Worth the splurge! Every bite was absolutely delicious! Such a tender steak, the sauce was out of this world, more than enough tender crisp green beans and a pile of potatoes! The hot yeast rolls were worth those carbs and the quality butter made the calories worth it!!
5 star Ranch in Norman. Also in OKC. Fine dining and a large palate to choice from. Especially Cocktails and wine cellars. Food is the key ingredient here. Terrific atmosphere. Comfortable but not overly masculine. Seating are also relaxed, as rushing to rotate tables, doesn't dominate an evening out. Pretty much the Best Steakhouse in town.
I recently dined at The Ranch Steakhouse and had an incredible experience! We started with the Grilled Salmon over Pesto Risotto, accompanied by a fresh Tomato Relish and a drizzle of Balsamic Glaze—everything was perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. The 14 oz strip steak was tender and cooked to perfection, and the Caesar salad was crisp and refreshing. The smoked mac & cheese was a standout, rich and creamy with just the right amount of smokiness. The atmosphere was sophisticated, making it an ideal spot for a romantic date night. The service was top-notch—attentive and friendly without being intrusive. I highly recommend The Ranch Steakhouse for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience!
Great food. Beautiful place. Went for my birthday. Desserts were free & big!
Server was Charles and he was literally a key part of my experience. I had an incredible dining experience that left me eager to return. Starting with the escargot—absolutely 10/10. It was prepared to perfection, rich, and buttery, setting the tone for the meal. The sirloin with roasted garlic compound butter was unique, boasting an also the crust unlike any I’ve ever seen. While I wouldn’t order this particular cut again, the execution was undeniably impressive, and I’d definitely come back to explore other options. I had my eye on the mac and cheese, but I’ll have to save that for next time. The French onion soup was a standout—10/10. Deep, everlasting flavor, perfectly balanced without being overly greasy. The broccolini was charred to perfection, adding a great smoky depth to the dish. The Caesar salad was 9/10—well-executed but could have been richer in flavor, especially with the homemade dressing. The bread was a 7/10—a little on the hard side, but paired beautifully with the escargot butter. Overall, a memorable experience with some truly stellar dishes. Can’t wait to come back and try more! Drinks: 10/10 Vietti Moscato D’asti and Gaudio Red
Ordered the Cesar salad for an appetizer, and it was delicious! For our entrées I had the beef medallions with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. The mashed potatoes were super fluffy and creamy, and the green beans were still very crisp and full of flavor. The beef medallions came with a red wine reduction sauce, and it was on point. My man ordered the grilled salmon. It came with a pesto risotto and roasted tomatoes and a balsamic reduction sauce. The bread and butter were amazing, along with the desserts! We had the banana foster and creme Brule. I recommend everything!
A must do dinner option when in Norman, especially after two days of less than mediocre conference food. Ask for the special. Our night was sea bass; it was phenomenal.
First time dining experience. Sat at a table in bar area. Lots of huge t.v.'s so we could keep up with variety of football games. Our waiter was James, he was awesome! Very polite & professional, helpful with the menu choices. We had stuffed mushrooms for appetizer. Main meal a delicious Ribeye & smoke mac n cheese. Great evening, lovely establishment & nice service all around. Would definitely return.
This was the absolute best and fanciest Dinner I have had my entire life!! Our servers Charlotte and Lucas were absolutely amazing. Charlotte was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and made wonderful recommendations. The Wagyu beef was to die for😩All of the sides were very filling and rich too. One thing I really liked too is that the Manager “Charms” made sure all of the guests were happy and taken care of and even conversed with us and made our acquaintance. I would highly recommend Ranch steakhouse to ALL of my Friends and Family as I was truly delighted. A+ A+
Let's talk about the service first, Eddie was so excellent. Gave us a first-class experience. Was so attentive and accomidating. Then the food, wow, wow, wow. We did walk out hungry. Some of the best steaks we have ever had. The medallions melted in your mouth like butter. The garlic mashed were so creamy and garlicky. And the green beans and asparagus were perfectly cooked. We spent 2 or 3 days raving about this place! Highly recommend it!!
Expensive, but SO WORTH IT. We went for our wedding anniversary and our server was just the sweetest. I believe her name is spelt Jaiden. She made me feel so welcome and helped me from beginning to end. We got the crab cakes and the fried calamari (we made it spicy), and I’d die for these crab cakes. He got the strip , I think , with the Cabernet sauce. He liked it but wasn’t in love with it. I LOVED my entree. I got the tenderloin filet with the garlic butter and added scallops to it. Adding the scallops made it really expensive but I loved it. We also went with the side sampler and that was just okay. Nothing special. My husband didn’t even touch it. Only real downside to our meal was our sauce choices and the sides. Then they gave us a free dessert and we went with the banana foster! We had to pay for the rum shot to make it light up but it was fun! We’ve never gotten banana foster before. Needless to say, we can’t go here just whenever, but it is definitely the place to go to when celebrating something.
I can't express how delighted we were with our meal here. The escargot, the waygu steak, the excellent side platter, the coffee and cheese cake finale.. this was a great meal. Also our Server, Amanda was very knowledgeable and super nice. Very impressed.
The food is absolutely top notch. We started with delicious stuffed mushrooms and chop house salad. Mom and I shared a 22 oz. bone in Ribeye with sides of truffle butter and crab Oscar that was to die for! We chose the side sampler with blue cheese and bacon Brussels sprouts, creamed spinach and artichokes, and green beans almondine. The only thing that beats the quality of food is the attention to service. I have never experienced the level of service that I did tonight. Kelly knew absolutely everything there was to know about the menu, as well as our Keto dietary needs. She was able to request small adjustments in the kitchen (no maple drizzle on the green beans) to make sure the food was perfect for us. She was beautiful and a true delight to share our evening with! Shelby was also working our area and they made a great team. The manager, Danny, was fantstic with my 6 year old son and they made fast friends. Danny was so attentive and had the kitchen cut Blake's meatballs up to make the spaghetti just the way he likes it. He then proceeded to stand at the table and grind up the slices of parmesan so he could sprinkle it on the top in a more kid friendly fashion. All the while he was engaging Blake in conversations about 🇮🇹 Italy. Blake could not stop talking about him. He kept telling us that he really liked Danny and that he was a really cool guy. Danny even let us look at his new goat Lulu, who was in the back of his truck! 😂 I have never had a dining experience where I absolutely felt like the staff was part of my family. This was beyond a 5 star dining experience and we will be back again and again!
The food has been consistent and high quality each time we’ve been. The steaks are delicious and side are too. It’s expensive but expected for a high quality steak house. It’s a good place for a nice dinner and good company for a date or friends! The bananas foster is a favorite for sure.
Vivi was my server for my 5 year anniversary, and genuinely gave us the best anniversary experience i’ve ever had!! she was so sweet and made sure we had the best experience dining at the ranch! if i could give 1000 stars i would, she was super helpful with the food choices and helped us out with the menu! would 100% recommend dining here along with getting in Vivi’s section!
What else can I say about the ranch steakhouse it was off the chain!! First off the service there is impeccable!! I ordered the steak with a gravy and blue cheese for the appetizer oh my God talk about a great punch to the mouth!! Then we ordered the mushrooms oh my God talk about amazing I never tasted mushrooms as good in my life 😍😍😍😋😋😋😁!! they cooked me a steak with lobster sauce on top, oh my God talk about A Little Piece of heaven!! Yes this is a pricey restaurant, so make sure to come with some $100 bills in your pocket!! But I guarantee it's worth every penny and the staff there is very friendly great they know how to speak to their customers and I will come back anytime I'm in Oklahoma!!!
Celebrated our 12th anniversary here. The atmosphere, staff and meal were exquisite. Everything was cooked perfectly. Wait time on the food was a little longer however the meal came out hot and fresh. Cheesecake is normally served with lemon curd and berries but they changed it up for no cost to chocolate and caramel. We will for sure be back.
Unlike the crowded fancy steakhouses at OKC, this one has much more room. Great soup, awesome steaks, the shrimp was bit too sour. Waiters were friendly and patient, however there were some 16+ years old kids in red restaurant uniforms seem to be not helpful, talking loudly to each other. Kind of making the management less professional. Overall good experience, definitely would come back again and recommend it to anyone
Came out from Florida. Very satisfied with food and service. What you pay for is what you get restaurant. Wish you guys where in Florida so I could become a regular customer. Very happy and chose this over the 1hr wait at cattlemens steak house and I'm glad I did it thank you ranch for wonderful food and service. Finally the sever boxes and bags your left overs for you never experienced that kinda of service before just wow ranch
Stefanie was our server tonight for my mother’s birthday dinner, and we could not have been happier. Stefanie was absolutely incredible! She navigated the menu for us with ease, quickly picking up on our tastes and making excellent recommendations. The food quality was excellent, and we cannot wait to come back. Again I cannot stress how phenomenal Stefanie was, she is a treasure.
Great food, atmosphere and service! Bread is a highlight as is the cinnamon roll bread pudding. 3 different types of steaks were ordered in our party and all were amazing. Highly recommend!
10/10!! The salmon with pesto risotto was perfect! So delicious! So were the crab cakes. We’ll definitely be back! Service was exceptional!
Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had. Ive ate at most of the “high end” restaurants in the OKC metro area and this was the best food and service I’ve gotten. JB, our waiter, was very attentive and recommended some phenomenal drinks and food. We will be back to hopefully become regulars.
Amanda provided an amazing dining experience. My anniversary dinner was delicious. The grilled salmon was succulent and the crab cakes were crunchy on the outside and creamy in the middle. I usually don't eat crab cakes but I really liked them here. It's quiet and appropriately lit for date night. I will definitely return for Valentine's Day maybe. I was shocked this place shares a parking lot with a Dollar Tree and a tire/auto-body shop. My expectations were low for obvious reasons, but was blown away upon walking in. The decor, lights, service, and food made this a day to remember.
We ate here for our anniversary dinner, and needless to say, it was amazing. What started off amazing turned rocky with a piece of steak that was less than quality. Once bringing this up to the staff, they immediately replaced the steak on the house with a new cut of meat. They awaited while we made sure it was to quality. The steps the manager took to continuously check on us and return to the table was a fine example top tier service. They took every step to make it right for us and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Thank you!
We celebrated my wife’s birthday at The Ranch in Norman last night, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. When I made the reservation, I requested a booth and noted we were celebrating a birthday. The team seated us in a comfortable booth in the main dining room, which was perfect. Our server, Stephanie, was fantastic. She immediately set the tone for a relaxed, unhurried evening, gave us time to settle in, and started us off with seasonal fall cocktails from their updated menu. She presented (from memory!) an impressive list of appetizers and entrées, which was both helpful and impressive. We began with the Louisiana crab cake appetizer, phenomenal and highly recommended. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We enjoyed their warm Portuguese bread rolls, then moved on to beautifully prepared filets with baked potatoes and a creamed spinach & artichoke side. Every bite was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. At the end of the evening, my wife enjoyed a decaf pour-over coffee, and Stephanie thoughtfully sent her home with a slice of key lime pie to enjoy later; such a nice touch that made the birthday feel special. The food was excellent, the service exceptional, and the overall dining experience flawless. We wouldn’t change a thing and look forward to returning soon. We will definitely request Stephanie again, and kudos to the bartenders, chefs, and kitchen staff for a wonderful evening.
Me n my boyfriend go there a lot, we always sit at the bar, Amy has been our server several times, she is always great and if I have any questions on the menu … she knows it all! Iv even branched out and started ordering new things!! The chicken fried steak ….. oh …. Oh …. OOOHHHHH It’s goooood! 🤤 🤤🤤🤤🤤 definitely food porn
What an amazing dinner! We arrived early and had a cocktail at the beautiful bar. The bartender was incredibly nice; very friendly. When the rest of our party arrived we were seated in a gorgeous semi private room. Our waiter was very attentive as soon as we sat down. He got us our drinks immediately and gave us ample time to look over the menu. He came back and answered any questions we had and took our order. Our food was spaced out nicely. Our appetizers were very good. Everyone had a steak for dinner. ALL the food was amazing! Service was impeccable! I would highly recommend if you can get here you go! You won’t be disappointed!
Gollee!! Stellar food, but my mantra I tend to live by is that “the most expensive food is not that impressive” or something along those lines. Many places have jacked up prices but are not anything too special in my opinion. This is one of those establishments. And don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed my time here, as well as the food and the environment. I do recommend you endeavor to try this establishment at least once in your life. After all, we only have one so you may as well experience a night at the Ranch Steakhouse!
We met friends here for a late Valentine's Day celebration. I enjoyed a very good glass of wine (great wine selection). My wife and I shared the salmon. I had French Onion Soup, and my wife had the Soup of the Day, which was a mushroom chicken soup. Both were very good. The only problem, but not a big deal was asparagus that we ordered didn't come. But Robert our server took it off our bill.
Went to Ranch Steakhouse with some of my people who work for OU Football. We started off with the Ranch meatballs and they were solid. I got a Caesar salad and it was really good. I ordered the sirloin steak with shrimp, we also ordered three family size sides, fried okra, Mac and cheese and onion rings. Steak was good, Mac and cheese was solid, fried okra was good, but the onion rings were not. Overall it was good food and a solid experience.
Its a beautiful restaurant. High quality food. I ordered takeout from their website. They initially couldn't find my order. Good thing I called to confirm they had the order before showing up for pickup. One entree & one dessert cost a total of $51 and honestly I didn't fall in love with anything I had except the free bread. The confitt chicken was boring. The chimichurri sauce was given on the side and that was quite delicious. The risotto I was not a fan of but I rarely eat risotto so I'm not sure if it's just me but it was super boring and super buttery. The rasp chocolate cake was ok. I would go with the other desserts that are in the reviews. No one talks about the rasp chocolate cake & now we know why. Came on a Tuesday evening & 3 ladies at the hostess stand and only 1 smiled & greeted me (the one who also went to grab my to go). Its a beautiful restaurant to sit and eat in. Food was cooked perfectly, just not my taste. It was also packaged nicely. Came with silverware.
The Lobster cargot had a nice butter lemon pepper flavor. The only thing missing would have been some kind of pasta noodles. Most Cargot appetizer starters are chessy! The bread help not waist the juice. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly. However only true Con was the overpowering demi glaze. I should have got on the side. They potatoes and asparagus paired well. I was able to get the Halibut over pasta 😋 (by a special request) thanks Chef for accommodating my special request!
We come here about once a year. This past Christmas Eve we came as a family group of 6. We had several appetizers, salads, main entree, and dessert. The appetizers were good. The salads were hit and miss. I had ordered the 'beet and goat cheese salad' I found no goat cheese and asked if it had just been forgotten as I was a bit disappointed. I was informed that it was in the dressing. I can guarantee, the dressing did not taste like goat cheese was in it. Of the 4 steaks ordered, only 1 was cooked properly 'rare'. The other three were to be medium rare and were on the very rare side. The two who ordered meals (chicken fried steak & Beef Tips) were very happy with their choice. The dessert was good as well, but not what we thought it was going to be, turns out it's just icecream, no cake. The timing of the meal was off. We were barely half way through the salads and they were asking if we were finished. Several times one of our group commented that they felt rushed.
Service was slow on a slow night. Food is mediocre. Anyone can get a better steak at a butcher for a much better price. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and the people at the bar I talked to were great. I would rather go to Outback to be honest.
It was our 30th anniversary and if the the rating was only on service, I would’ve given five stars, our server in training, Josie, and her mentor were perfect, they did absolutely everything perfectly. Unfortunately that is not the case and after spending $250 on a meal I would expect to be happy when I left but that wasn’t the case at all. The appetizer and salads were wonderful, I asked for my steak $100 bone-in ribeye to be medium at the bone because it usually is undercooked at the bone, knowing this could mean my steak would be medium well to done on the outer edge but I am okay with that because I cannot do medium rare especially on a fatty cut like a ribeye. I do not send food back at restaurants as I don’t know what they do to it as it is an insult to the cooks (who should know what medium is) and my sides were okay, the au gratin potatoes were good, next time if I ever go back I will do a baked potato but the asparagus was horribly burnt, they call it charred but it was burnt and had a rancid taste, will not order that again…especially at $12 each for a side. Again, I don’t send food back at restaurants, it isn’t good Karma for the customer. My salad was great, my wife’s salad was great but her steak medallions were way undercooked as well, she enjoyed the sides it came with and I cannot stress this enough…the staff was wonderful, love those girls and would request them if I were to ever go back, the ambiance was nice…I just wasn’t impressed for $250 plus a $65 tip. 2/11/25 **UPDATE** on January 11th, 2025 I went in person to the restaurant and made a reservation for Valentine’s Day at 8:30 pm and they said they would call if they had a cancellation for an earlier spot, I called today to see if there was a cancellation and not only did they not have a cancellation, now they don’t have my 8:30 reservation and they tried to say I made the reservation with the OKC location… I called back and asked to speak with the manager and they said there wasn’t a manager on duty and didn’t know when one would be there if at all. No chance for a third impression…
What a beautiful restaurant! We were seated quickly. We loved how comfortable the booths were. The server was very helpful and accomadating. The food was average. Which surprised us. We had been waiting for an occasion to go out and enjoy a great steak. The chopped salad may have been the best part of the meal. The French onion soup was OK. The augratin potatoes were bland. The filet mignon was no better than any other we have had at an upscale steakhouse. They do treat you with dessert on your birthday. Which was very nice. We had hope to walk away and be anxious to come back. But, the food just did not do it for us.
It's a nice new high end restuarant in Norman. I l liked everything but my burnt, tough filet mignon. That cut of steak should not be tough. The crab cakes were amazing and the key lime pie was very good, but I do think it is way over priced for the product you receive.
I will start with I had high expectations based on looking at their menu prices online. Unfortunately, the actual cooking of my steak and one of my daughter's friends left A LOT TO BE desired. I actually sent mine back and it came out worse than previously served. Disappointing overall (for me and her friend) as it was our daughter's 21st birthday. AND YES-- I made that comment when making reservations. AND YES_-daughter's steak was cooked correctly. (THANKFULLY). Conclusion--and suggestion for The Ranch management personnel-- PLEASE ASK each guest to cut their steak right after you serve it. As I had to "track down" our waiter to get mine sent back. And speaking of waiter-- I quite serving us and we had a new one attending to us 1/2 through dinner. So, odd. Lastly-- our 21-year-old daughter and her friend ordered a Bourbon expresso. Drink was soooo strong, we had to ask waiter to make back and "dilute" it somehow, so the girls were able to drink it. NO- not their first Bourbon expresso they had drank, so they knew what to expect from that drink. NOTE- they "comped" my steak. Also, no "special dessert w/ candle" or anything for daughter's 21st birthday. SIDE NOTE-- vegetables were great.
Tonight we dined at the Ranch for Christmas. This is the first time I have been disappointed with the quality of my food as well as the service. The waiter was very slow in coming over to the table, didn't tell us his name or ask if we'd been in before. He didn't come over to check on us until after we were done eating, my asparagus was tough and overdone but I just pushed it to the side. I was hoping he would bring me a replacement! The manager subtracted $10 from the bill for the poor quality which didn't seem overly generous since the bill was $350.00. It's sad because we've always enjoyed The Ranch but I think we won't be coming back.
Went for our 19th anniversary. Unfortunately it was very underwhelming. Seemed like the server had better things to do. The tuna meal and the side sampler were the the best part of the meal, it was so good. The ribeye over seasoned to the point we could not finish it. We had the bananas foster for dessert, which we had never had. It was good but too sweet for us, can see why people like it though. For the price, I expected more.
To start off, we were greeted at the door with the manager standing next to the hostess looking us up and down when we walked through the doors. We were under the impression it was a casual steakhouse as advertised so we did not dress up. Our waitress had purple lipstick on her teeth which was pretty gross to look at but could be if ignored if she was a good waitress. However, she was not and if actually ignored us most of the time and when we both ordered the NINETY FIVE dollar steaks she did not know which was the strip and which was the sirloin . We simply switched them when she left but the point is, if I am paying an outlandish price of $95 for a sirloin someone better be training the wait staff to know the difference between a strip and a sirloin because it's pretty easy . Also, the steak downright ghastly! I mean, all the food was. I'm sorry, it's true. Do better Ranch , you charge enough to.
