The only thing I’m upset about is that I didn’t see this restaurant on Uber Eats earlier. The eggplant panini on ciabatta was delicious. My boyfriend loved the Italiano panini. Don’t get me started on the sweet potato fries. Everything was great and we will be ordering again. Thank you!!

Kristen makes the world of Batata spin around from what i can see each time i stop in. Batata also has been catering my businesess Holiday party for the past 4 years and they alwasy deliver an amazing feast for us!

They have many , many vegetarian dishes here. They have breakfast, lunch , dinner. They have sandwiches and soups and wraps. They have organic smoothies. They have this wonderful vegetarian portobello mushroom and goat cheese in a tortilla with this amazing pesto Mayo that is so good. That's one of my favorites. This place was Barrister's chocolate. It connects next door the other restaurant, Macado's Grill. They have lots of fast food chicken hamburgers hot dogs they have a turkey burger I believe. The coleslaw is quite good. They have shakes and even chocolate soda here. Same kitchen two different types of food. All of it is very good. The staff are awesome. Been going here for a while since my girls are very small they're grown now. We will still go back for tasty quick meal. Comfy seating, always art from local artists. Locally-made food that you can buy on the shelves. They've added a wider assortment of beverages that includes some wine and I think beer. They have gluten free items. They have a Buddha bowl with Organic vegetables. Many delicious things a beautiful variety of foods. Something for everyone. You've got to come in and try this place. You will leave happy.

Love This Place... When of the pleasures of loving in Northport is having the Batata Café....Everyone's very nice, the atmosphere is very calm. The menu has some wonderful different combinations, and week to week you will see new things. Honestly, a place that you don't get tired of.

We order from Batata often and love their menu (especially the turkey gouda and vegan spicy Caesar!), and so we ordered catering from them for our daughter's first birthday party this past weekend and could not have been happier! The bbq package was delicious, as were all of the sides. We also got a large sub, several side salads, and a latter of veggie/vegan sandwich and wrap options. Our guests raved about the food and the bbq was so incredibly tender and flavorful. Great place for every day, and also highly recommend for your next event!

The food is very good here and there is a wide selection too choose from. The kern fries with maple dip are excellent but not the healthiest option. Also, the staff are very friendly. It's nice to sit outside on a nice day.

The food was delicious. We met up with family at Batata Cafe and as a result had a chance to test a few different dishes. The menu has a huge variety and clearly marked in order to keep track of food allergies or just diet preferences. I would highly recommend that you stop by and bring your kids since it is a child friendly place.

The absolute best place for good food. I can't say enough good things about this place. The food is fresh, generous portions, homemade and delicious. The atmosphere is adorable. Stopped by this place for dinner after spending time at the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium. So glad we did! My boyfriend got the Philly Cheessteak with waffle fries and I had the chicken tenders. The food was amazing for such a simple order. The steak came on a fresh roll and my chicken was piping hot with probably the best honey mustard dipping sauce I've had in a long time. Do not hesitate to try this place out :)

My go to for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. There is something for everyone on the menu-meatlovers to vegans! I personally love trying all the different vegan burgers they have a new one each week ❤ and I'm not even a vegan. Cannot beat the Warm pleasant atmosphere and staff. Love, love, love Batata!

All first quality, my lunch of choice

Cozy little place with an impressive selection of foods ranging from sandwiches/panini to beet salad, juices, and fresh smoothies. I enjoyed their grilled cheese and soup combo and their Berry Berry Good smoothie. Prices are reasonable. They also sell an assortment of local chocolates, ice cream cream, pickles, etc.

Went there on Monday for family of 5 (3 kids). They did a great job and when combined with macadoos have a diverse selection to satisfy the pickiest eater. We had a grilled cheese, hot dogs, kids chicken tenders, ribs, and wings. All were well done and service was prompt. It was a little confusing when we first arrived into macadoos and it wasn’t clear where to order.

My favorite local breakfast/brunch/lunch spot! Delicious chai lattes, great quinoa dishes made daily, tons of GF+vegan options, and an excellent staff! Everyone is always in a cheery mood and the manager(/owner?) is an amazing woman. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Me and my mom went for lunch and they have a variety of things that people can choose from vegetarian to vegan and gluten free options. I got the white bean burger. We split a black bean soup. Really good. We all loved it. The black bean soup with a white bean burger are amazing. Good service. Friendly staff. If you're ever in the area, go check it put. You will keep going there for ever and ever that's how good it is.

I went there for the first time for breakfast with my boyfriend and his sister this morning. Everything was perfect. The food was perfect the service was perfect the atmosphere was perfect. I recommend the cinnamon roll french toast. Also their fruit is actually fresh fruit I was extremely impressed with what was brought to my table.

Ordered a hot honey chicken sandwich on a day I swore I was eating healthy, so I asked for it bun less on lettuce. They nailed it exactly how I ordered. My coworkers' meals looked just as good and were thoughtfully packed, so points for presentation. The chicken itself? Crispy perfection. I'm extremely picky with chicken because I can't stand when it has that "chickeney" taste (you know exactly what I mean), but this was fresh, flavorful, and downright tasty. If you, like me, stopped going to Batata for a time because their food and service seemed to decline a few years ago, I recommend you revisit soon… food and service was excellent the last 3 times I ordered. I have been going to Batata since it opened many years ago and through all of its changes. A few years ago, it seemed that mostly some high school kids were working and always messed up our orders and had awful customer service skills. I gave up on eating there for a time, but recently revisited to find everything excellent once again.

I literally work across the street from Batata Cafe in Northport, and have the great luck of being able to walk over anytime; a great thing indeed! I am not a vegan, but like to vary my diet, especially when having lunch, which is usually on the fly and not always so healthy. Lol. Batata has a really great variety of options, from the Impossible Burger, Soups, Wraps and more. I have tried a wide variety of these options and they are all fresh and delicious! They have all been seasoned nicely, not too heavy a hand, as sometimes you get with Vegan meals. Great food and great service. The menu is stacked with so many delicious options. Moreover, the Staff are all friendly and greet with smiles and warm welcomes. They all seem to enjoy working at Batata and it shows. The restuarant is always clean and they take pride on their appearance with clean glass and nice decorations. The store is conveniently located on a 25A/Ft Salonga Road with plenty of parking. If you choose to dine in you'll always have a seat as they offer indoor and outdoor dining options. They also offer wine in a can which is interesting. They offer various discounts so ask and you can accumulate points towards future meals if you order online with the Toast App. Regardless of meal time or food preferences, Batata is always worth a visit - Go and enjoy a great meal experience! *Bonus tip: In Batata's "Cold Case" you will find round containers with homemade "Bites". (see picture) There are 2 varieties, I only half-jokingly call these my "crack" ...:) Literally addicted...make sure to try these too!

Went there right after reopening and super clean and great distancing. The food was wonderful. My husbands burger was a 4, he said amazing bun, and my deli sandwich was a 4. Service was a 5. I am giving them a 5 because they were attentive and amazingly clean and during these times it is imperative and hard on the business but appreciated. They need to be recognized for their hard work. Awesome place is actually context to a health food restaurant which is so cool so if some of you eat healthy and some of you eat not as healthy you can both go to dinner together which is a cool concept the health food part is also a place where you can purchase stuff to take home... I've attached a few pics from both places... anyhow I got myself a cheeseburger and it was delicious I highly recommend this restaurant...

This place is a total hidden gem! I just went in looking for coffee, and they have a wide selection of quality coffees, chocolates, baked goods, salads, and so much more. And they have a lot of vegan and gluten free goods as well, for those who are so inclined. Great food, great atmosphere, great service!

Absolutely delicious tahini sauce. The Buddha Bowl was filled with so many veggies along with the greens. So tasty! Will definitely be going back! Only thing, I wish they would use cardboard for takeout salads rather than plastic. Even mainstream restaurants are starting to do this. Would be much preferable.

I enjoyed the Batata Cafe! I was in the area and decided to try this place because its plethora of vegan options. As I stepped in, I noticed they had adorable holiday decorations all throughout the store which I really appreciated. It felt clean and modern inside. Given that I ordered online, I'd say the ordering process was super easy and I was able to make my necessary accommodations. As I waited for my order, the staff spoke with me and were very kind. My soups were good but I definitely need to return to try some of their vegan sandwiches!

Smallish place, best to take out. Vegan options are a hit or miss. The falafel is the best I had in my life. I order it on a bed of greens instead of the wrap, and also substitute the aioli sauce with their wonderful tahini sauce. The Seitan wrap however, tastes terrible. They have this annoying "today's specials" which unfortunately contains the majority of the vegan options we order. They offer a discount for ordering online but there's no option to modify the meals, so you end up having to call in your order anyway. The vegan options, I feel, don't contain adequate amounts of protein. This is a common issue with merchants on long Island that offer vegan options.

Really wanted to love Batata, they have some great menu options - but, have found the consistency is not always there and they (really) need to be more careful with their prep procedures as we found a large piece of cut plastic in our wrap, that after rinsing off appears to be part of a condiment container.

This is about the one in Radford, Virginia I’ve always ordered something to go from here. Today we ate inside and we’re discussed by all the cobwebs on everything above !! Just waiting for something to fall on us or food. Please do a deep upper clean soon !! It’s Gross

Good food except service was awful. People were incredibly rude and plain out disrespectful. I don’t understand why people can’t be nice. I gave money and they threw the change right back at me. Also made my coffee too cold and i asked them to warm it up they were annoyed and Spilled it everywhere when they came back. Food was delicious though.

Did not have a good experience here. I went because of the vegan menu. The staff was not very friendly from the start. I asked for a vegan menu and the girl behind the counter seemed annoyed. They didn't have a separate menu, which is fine. When I found something I wanted to try the cashier pointed me to a case they have up front. I asked if it could be made to order and he said yes. When the food came mine was taken from the case and was not even the vegan one I wanted. When I brought it up to the girl at the counter she cut me off and said I'll go get my manager. The manager never addressed me. Instead she came out and spoke to the employee who took my order. Overall will not be coming here again.

Usually enjoy the food here, except my order this morning...I'd stay away from the Cinnamon French Toast (driest French toast we've ever had in our lives, couldn't even eat 1 slice) & the American Burrito. Unbelievable how a ~$10 wrap could be sooo small!

I used to really enjoy their but the quality of food has changed. I have a wheat allergy and call ahead to make sure my allergies could still be accommodated. I was told the fries are gluten free and wheat free initially. The gluten free bread used to be thick and have a great texture, but this time the bread was cold , hard, and fell apart. I couldn’t eat my sandwich because the entire thing fell apart all over me when i initially picked it up, thank goodness i still had a good grip on the ham though 🤣 when I called to have it fixed, I was treated like I was lying about what happened. I also asked about the fries again to be sure and My suspicions were correct, the woman on the phone lied about the allergens in the fries to me initially, but not the second time I called. I will not be returning and I would not recommend eating here if you have allergies or care about quality customer service.

I ordered an e-gift card, and received a receipt telling me it was delivered. It wasn't. I phoned the cafe to inquire, and employee Patty hung up on me. Rude and obnoxious customer service, besides possible fake gift card. My credit card company is now handling it. Hopefully, this "public service message" can help others.
