The two (2) Baristas were swamped. They moved steadily and were the EPITOME OF PROFESSIONALISM!
I ordered through the app, it was fast service but the only thing is you have to pay with a Starbucks gift card, you can't use your debit card or credit card as payment. You have load a gift card.
I would want to relax at Starbucks in Oak Park. If one would want to study, this would be the perfect place to do so. It has the best coffee and snacks.
Awesome! Nice patio, great air conditioning inside, not crowded - lots of room to sit.
Very kind on the phone! Super understanding location.
Awesome Staff!! VERY friendly Super Attentive to customers and orders, I feel so appreciated here. #HighlyRecommend
Friendly fast service... smaller location makes social distancing while awaiting your order a bit challenging
The best staff I had ever in my entire life I've dealt with all the employees there is one bigot but there's such an awesome staff you can't ask for anything better so for this occasion the saying one bad Apple ruins the bunch not this time. thank you guys for all your wonderful customer service
This Starbucks used to be super busy on Sunday mornings, but It seems like they've made some changes and wait times aren't an issue anymore. Staff is super friendly!
I thought that the Starbucks in Oak Park was pleasant everything went fine didn't have any issues with the employees, unlike most of the Starbucks coffee shops in Chicago downtown and I don't know what it is about people in Chicago their attitudes stink to high heaven but I love Oak Park Starbucks.
Great baristas and service! Bring back cherry chai latte!
The Baristas here are top-notch and can handle the crowd. They are friendly and are master alchemists when it comes to caffeinated beverages. Please be sure to tip them.
Very comfy and great drinks and food! It is known for its fantastic coffee, although I am not a coffee drinker myself. THey have very freindly staff, and have plently of chairs for everyone. THe chairs are very comfy and make you want to enjoy your food!
Crowded but still pretty fast service. Drinks perfect. Parking lot a bit tight but not too bad. Recommended.
Service is great the staff is always friendly. Tip for them would be to wipe off the area where you get your drink its usually sticky.
Quick and amazing service!!!! Love to come in with my kiddos, they are all so welcoming and kind. They know me, my mother and my kids by name.
Nice, friendly staff. Comfortable setting. One of my favorite Starbucks hangouts in the Chicagoland area.
Today was my first time at Starbucks. It was a little crowded. The employees are nice. I had a mix up and one of the employees fixed it for me. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and the coffee. I will be going back.
This store is seriously unmatched in customer service, authenticity, and quality of "product." This location does a LOT of volume (at least in my perception), but I bet you that all the regulars think of it as "their" Starbucks. I know I do. That's because the team members take the time to smile, welcome customers, remember their typical order or things about their lives, and also make newbies feel like part of the family. I always feel like whether I'm having a good day or bad, I can be myself here. This Starbucks contributes greatly to our little village. Thank you for all you do!
of all the starbucks in the area, this has become my go-to. can be a little difficult to find a seat since it’s so small, but great atmosphere in the off-hours. music isn’t too loud, and staff is really friendly.
This location is awesome, the staff is always friendly and bubbly. Emily is probably the sweetest, happiest person I've ever met. She definitely put some sunshine on the rest of my day.
Great service period. Great conversations if you want them. And atmosphere of store and downtown Oak Park is nice for an afternoon of scrolling or date night.
Great to get back to the neighborhood Starbucks! Young dude even remembered me from over year ago! I much prefer the down-to-earth friendly demeanor of the team here to the tense, impersonal, slow service at other places in town.
10 months ago I left a very bad review. It is time to correct it. I decided to correct it to current times after giving them a few shots again. I have ordered 3 times since then and it's been perfect. I love that they keep the pound cakes in the cellophane now. I have the option to eat it later and it stays perfectly moist. Coffee is as I ordered as well. My only complaint is the raw bacon in the sandwiches. This isn't their fault because every location cooks it the same way. I wish they would cook it separately so it gets fully cooked. It's no big deal when getting delivery because I'll take it off and nuke it a minute. Maybe corporate can make changes on that? Great job on awesome improvements at this location.
Great place for a small coffee and a place to sit down and maybe get some work done. Exelent staff. Couldn't be more impressed
My sister and I started to go back to Starbucks in the morning now that opens up at 5 a.m. And the two young ladies there are so sweet. Don't know their names. But enjoy going in. Just to have a fun conversation with them. Thank again.
Well I have to be fair and say that this Starbucks has made a %110 turn around. The outside patio area is pleasant, peaceful and enjoyable. The employees and management are SUPER fantastic and work their tails off to please you and get you in and out in order for you to continue your busy day. I commend you all. NICE JOB!!!!! I hope all is forgiven? You should all pat yourselves on the back cause this Starbucks now, is awesome!! THANK YOU FOR YOIR GREAT SERVICE!
Great and friendly service! It's a cozy Starbucks compared to other stand alone or corner locations. There is limited seating, but it has a nice layout for the given space. As usual, delicious food and drinks.
We walked into cool air and nice atmosphere, we all had great service and my friends cup said enjoy which she thought was really sweet.
When I came for a cup of cold foam for my pups last meal, I was nervous to make such a strange request and a bit overwhelmed in general. I could barely get the request out without crying but the cashier was so kind. She made me a big batch in an oatmeal bowl which was the perfect for for my girls snout. She was not eating well in the end but loved cold foam and it made her so happy. I was too sad to thank the barista as much as I should have but I will never forget that bit of kindness on such a difficult day.
Fast and easy going they even allowed me to use the restroom
Mobile order got messed up due to a system issue but the staff here made it right immediately. Great job and thank you!
Stopped in during middle of my morning walk on a snowy Saturday. Very nice and cozy spot, baristas very kind, attentive and polite. Service was great. Definitely will go back again when I’m in the area
The girl who served me my drink was very friendly and polite.
Very good service. Couple times they’ve slipped up on the oatmilk part but were very accommodating to replace.

Always a nice treat... Eye only go here for the mango dragon fruit w/lemonade drink... Absolutely refreshing!!!... Overall 7/10
Outside patio needs to be kept clean..debris on the ground and tables..no trash bins outside
This is a cute little starbucks and great to work outdoors with your dog, however the wait times here can be ridiculous and customer service is hit or miss but usually good.
Service here always seems a little hectic. Only a couple tables indoors but adorable outside seating.
Really nice baristas, but also long lines. ORDER AHEAD on their app if you get Starbucks during the morning or afternoon rush, or it might be a 15 minute wait.
Great service, good people, solid drinks. Frequently strange/jarring music for a coffee shop, not the best spot for hanging around.
It's small and doesn't have much seating, but the staff are always friendly. I like it better in the spring and summer because they have a nice outdoor patio area.
Speedy and friendly service. Outdoor patio seating for when the weather cooperates. The interior is small with limited seating and can get very busy.
So I really didn't get a feel for this place, or maybe I did. My current drink is the Caramel Ribbon Crunch. However, they had no crunch, but was still offering the drink. Which was weird, because the drink literally says CRUNCH in the name, and if you don't have the crunch, you don't have the drink. Nonetheless, the staff was still welcoming and apologetic.
This is a decent Starbucks location but very small inside. There's a pleasant outdoor seating area, but it could be much improved if they added a few umbrellas for shade and a bit of landscaping. Even better would be if they'd just move a couple of doors down to the vacant store with on the corner with a lot more seating area.
You can always tell when people dealing with customers don't want to be at work... either that or they just don't have any personality. I go to this Starbucks because one barista is so energetic and knows how I like my drink, unfortunately that barista wasn't there on this day so I got the one that seems to not want to be at work. He put the wrong wording on my cup but the drink tasted fine. He didn't even say anything about it but I read what the sticker said and was prepared to give the drink back but how u get the drink right and the sticker that tells u what the drink is wrong is beyond me.🤷
Friendly and quick staff even when the place is super crowded. A great outdoor space for warm weather, but really small inside. If you're not planning on staying I would suggest doing a mobile order ahead of time to avoid the line.
I don't drink coffee. My wife loves this place. Sometimes she gets me a hot chocolate or iced tea. It's good
This location is kind of minimal. Of course, the coffee is the same as all other Starbucks and the servers are nice, but there is less and less feeling of the coffee house destination to meet up / hang out with friends vibe. This location might as well be in a mall, it's practicality empty of anything but the service bar and to me feels sterile. Since Covid, I've seen the trend across the chain: remove the comfortable chairs, warm lighting, good music, etc. Replaced with hard benches, fewer tables, less/no interesting art on the walls...just get your coffee and get on your way (aka GTFO).
Tables were dirty and napkins and straw wrappers were on the floor. Just didn’t feel super clean or relaxing. The drink was a little watery
My go to Starbucks.. amazing staff and I probably haven’t had my caffeine fix in awhile because what in the new decor!!!!! I love the ambiance, color scheme, layout etc… I love that pickup is in front not at the back with the cute sign too for mobile orders. 4 stars just because 5bucks are not pocket friendly lol

So as a long time customer, I will offer some advice. Put your menu items up so I know what is available. Less picture boards of food. Do not make me guess at what frappuccino is available on your frap happy hour day. Thanks
I believe starbucks is over priced. I have found many of the local coffee shops serve better and cheaper coffee than starbucks. In addition to better coffee you do not have to experience the long lines you often find at starbucks.
Nice people working here. But please somebody call the cops. Crazy homeless dude shouting to himself and disturbing other customers. The tyranny of the minority strikes again.
The atmosphere was so so but both bathrooms said out if order but the employees could use them 🤔 Should have left but got coffee anyways.
I like Starbucks, I like this location, and sometimes it does get busy especially when the high schoolers get out of school. So I understand that it's going to take longer than normal to get a drink. However, today I had to wait 20 minutes for an iced coffee. It didn't really bother me until one of the Baristas was rude to me. She noticed that there were a couple of people waiting due to the stickers not printing out, so she asked for other people's orders who were waiting and when I got the chance to tell her mine I felt like I was completely ignored. She went on and made the other drinks and didn't make mine. So I had to tell another barista, who kindly apologized and made the order. The entire time I was there she was also rude to her other employees, she was constantly barking out orders. Maybe she was having a bad day, but this is the first time I ever encounted such a rude employee at this location.
always nice people but probably one of the slower starbucks in the mornings no matter how many staffed it’s just always 5-10-30 mins behind and NEVER go wednesday mornings the local high school occupies the entire space.
Baristas need to learn how to acknowledge people who come in instead of giving you an awkward smirk. Also call out the drinks/names for crying out loud.
The remaining baristas and supervisors at this store are AMAZING! Unfortunately the manager at this location has ruined the store. From what I’ve observed he’s chased almost all the employees away. He is barely nice to customers so I’m sure he’s not nice to his employees. Clearly something is wrong when 90% of employees leave the store in a few months. According to staff they have so little employees that corporate had to reduce their hours. The reduced hours have nothing to do with the store unionizing like another review says. Corporate has really dropped the ball with this once amazing store. I won’t be back until the manager is gone.
I come in daily for F&B and sometimes just for ice. The store is usually not clean and now all of the sudden no one can get ice water? Some of the baristas literally just say anything and it’s ridiculous. Other than that, management is nice and efficient. I’ve only ever had two horrible experiences here, which is why I took away 2 stars.
Got my drink right. Location is nice although on the small tight side, I really like their outdoor seating area tough. Folks here do their best but a bit more efficiency can achieved to make the lines move faster.
It's not like other suburban Starbucks, including not being very clean and not much seating. The best feature is the outdoor seating area--great for sitting outside when the weather is nice.

This location needs to work on their customer service .
Today I stopped in and AFTER I ordered my egg white bites and tea they inform me they have no forks. Say what?!? Then I go outside to eat and I see a woman at another table struggling to eat her Starbucks salad with her fingers. They should stop selling food items when they have no utensils.
I give this Starbucks a 2 star because of the red headed manager. The girl at the register was very sweet and friendly. The manager had a sour look on her face (not the first time). She was more worried about filling in the Redbook notes than greeting OR waiting on the guests who pay her salary. She finally gave begrudging assistance when there were 7 guests in line. Even then, she went through the motions of the job but could have cared less about connecting with her guest. She had more than enough help (register and 1 other team member) + herself. If she was having a bad day (again), send the other team member who recognized the police officer by name to help the guest. If you hadn't guessed, I am in the industry and apathetic service like this is why places decline and sales. She needs some serious coaching on guest service, no matter how good her bottom line is.
It varies with volume being served: crowded/poor service, except for young African/American lady, name not remembered, who is unfailingly good-humored and efficient. Walking by this Shop, seeing her, I go in. without fail (because I DO like the products).
Is SBUX mgt paying attention to this mess!!?? Used to be a great store but the manager has run it into the ground. Oak Park could use some help here. Hundreds of other stores in Chicago have gotten it right.
Every time I made an order online they don’t follow through the customized instructions but I get charged anyway…
The food and service is just as good as every other Starbucks. This one has a very limited seating area. But is conveniently located so it is good for picking up a drink. In the nicer months, it also has a nice patio area to sit outside. Updated the staff is often quite rude at this location. They have been out of our favorite drink for months. And just recently made a mistake on our order and could have almost cared less.

Horrible coffee first off wrong size order 10 mins before arriving and still waited 10 min horrible experience first time here she rush in when you rush don’t nothing come out right white mocha shouldn’t taste this horrible I can’t even enjoy my coffee it’s that disgusting please make every coffee with love ❤️
We stopped in for a quick coffee and recovery from the rain. I was disappointed by the available seats that had been taken up by laptops but the owners were gone. The restrooms were gross and the table chargers were all deactivated.
Understaffed- dirty- forgot to even ring up my mother in laws coffee then said it would have to be after the 10 other customers- mine and my girlfriends coffee was pretty terrible. Food was cold etc just bad overall. DO BETTER
In this particular Starbucks outlet a German lady tourist from Europe lost her purse filled with personal items in my presence, so shocking. Witnessed a number of attempted bag stealing in this same location. Lost my bycicle in another Starbucks outlet, and they refused to release video recording. I reported the incident. In same location, another customer narrated the loss of cell phones in same Starbucks outlet. At Starbucks location along Magnificent mile opposite Tribune tower, a Chinese tourist lost her whole bag containing personal items.
Terrible customer service. Staff was far more focused on joking around and hanging out than working. It was a slow evening, but the staff was not prompt, friendly, or professional...
This was the worst service I’ve had the employees were not very friendly to me I was there for about 25 minutes waiting for my order everyone was coming in and out with their drinks called everyone’s name but I had to ask if my drink was ready she said oh yes that was my bad then had someone else pick up my drink and tried to give it me I told her I was uncomfortable drinking that drink “I tought the lady took a drink of the coffee”asked if she can please make me another and she did but was very rude ..what a bad experience ..I hope the manager reads this it seems their only friendly to local costumers.
I understand that they might be busy, but if I am willing to spend $6 on a cup of tea then i want it made correctly. They mess up the first time and I'm lenient I say ok mistakes happen, but come on a second time in a row? If they can't maintain there business there then they shouldn't have one there anyways. I'm sorry but I've seen busier places and I've gotten better service.
Walked in and ordered, I was one of three people in the store. It took over ten minutes to make my coffee, meanwhile there were over a dozen mobile orders put up on the counter. When I finally got my coffee, it was lukewarm. I would have asked them to do it again, but since I was on my way to the train, I didn’t feel I could throw another ten minutes down the drain.
I attempted to place a mobile order via the Starbucks app at 4:30PM Saturday 8/19 to no avail. I went to the location to find the doors locked at 5:13PM despite the hours being listed at 6PM and employees still inside. I prefer the Forest Park or Berwyn location but this one is always sub par.
This place is one of the worst Starbucks I've ever been too. They always mess up my drink and have attitudes when you correct them. There is one young lady who is very nice and really makes the experience better when I see her. Her name is Tatinesha...I think.
Horrible service, I waited at the register for a few minutes because the employees were talking. The barista at the bar walked slowly around the bar area and attempted to make her coworker a drink before mine. I was there first by the way once she seen I was annoyed she then grabbed my cup it had been sitting there for a couple minutes before she started it I'm guessing she thought I had all day. Crazy thing is I was the only customer waiting. I guess customers don't come first at this location go here if you have nothing else to do. Oh and by the way after all that waiting I got half home took a sip of my drink and it was wrong what a waste of time and money.
Every year, the Huskie Booster Club at our local high school celebrates all staff and coaches (195 individuals) with a $10 gift card from local businesses. This year, for the first time, I chose to include Starbucks as one of the 4 businesses we would sponsor. On 10/31/18, I called the Lake street store (in Oak Park, IL) at 9:45am and spoke with a manage named Beth. I explained my situation and asked her the best way to handle my request. She was rude, disrespectful and showed a total lack of common decency regarding customer service. Every question was answered with a curt, one-word response, her over-all tone was that I was bothering her, she couldn’t get of the phone soon enough. The call ended with her saying “yeah….ok”. When I called back to get her name, she was again equally rude. I then called the next business on my list and received the appropriate response for my request. The manager was polite, asked questions, offered envelops for my gift cards, asked when I would like to pick them up, so I wouldn’t have to wait; he took the time and he earned our business. The third business was a small coffee shop on Oak Park Ave, again, the manager was over joyed that I would be purchasing $490 in gift cards from her business, our organization purchase a total of 195 cards at $10 each year that we like to spread out in the community. I called four businesses in total, to receive the worse customer service from Starbucks. This shouldn’t be acceptable. As the manager of a pizzeria, I deal with customers every day, and stress to my staff that the first impression is the only impression that counts. I understand being caught on the phone at an inopportune time, I understand being overwhelmed with questions, but you still must show respect to everyone at all times regardless of the situation you are immediately facing. As a manager, Beth should know better. I rarely write reviews, and often give the business the benefit of the doubt, but I had to comment on my experience today at your location on Lake Street. While losing $490 in sales is a drop in your bucket; I am relieved that the small businesses we chose to support instead can benefit from Beth’s poor customer service. Lisa Kayser
My complaint is the service of the barista. The resource who took my order was polite but the experience was ruined by the red hair barista working at 10am on Nov 3rd. Brutal! My partner got his coffee and mine was being prepared but left as she started to make another customer their order; he was 2 spots after me. All she had to do was pour my coffee in my cup but no…she thought the other customer’s order was more important than mine. Unacceptable! 🤬
If your having a great day just talk to the assistant Manager Sarah, she'll turn your day into a rotten one. Rude, condescending and just overall gives the impression she hates her job! I have observe her throw out people for being there ' TOO LONG' About 45 minutes, while at the same time the person next to that one has been there for 4 hours on their laptop. I have seen this scenario several time's before with this particular manager. I scanned all the the walls of this 'fine' establishment and couldn't find a posted sign anywhere stating ONE HOUR LIMIT. I guess Starbucks leaves it up to her to pick and choose who gets to stay for 4 hours and and who has to "LEAVE NOW OR I'll CALL THE POLICE, YOUR LOITERING" to other paying customers. Her overall attitude just plainly SUCKS !!! I had to rate this place with one star to get on the narrative section but in reality I give this Starbucks minus 5!! Its to bad to, but you know the old saying, one rotten apple spoils the whole bunch! I do have to say though that the other employees there are wonderful and very pleasant and easy going. To them I give them 5 stars. To that condescending miserable assistant manager a negative 5 and some advice. Find a different job and one that you don't have to deal with the public cause at this job you suck at it!!!!!
The baristas and the shift leads are wonderful, the manager however is a rude little man that gives an attitude to customers when he's overwhelmed. I got my drink at another location and ended up having to go the the oak park location to have it remade since I was already almost home and didn't wanna drive back to forest park. When I asked if my drink could be remade he sighed with an attitude and it appeared to me that he rolled his eyes. My drink did end up being remade but that interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. I also heard that the lead union organizer at this location was fire but that the store still won their union vote. Congratulations to the stuff for this amazing win. I would love to support this location more if it wasn't for the manager tho
Customer service isn’t friendly. I got more smiles from people walking to Starbucks than the employees who work there. My name was not called out, nor on the drink. My drink was poorly made! My strawberry refresher had more ice filled in my cup than the drink itself. Disappointed in this location!
Worst Starbucks ever. I have walked out of this location numerous times because of the poor service here. Whenever I go, including today, I feel like it's a hidden camera prank show. It doesn't take much to at least GREET a customer that's been waiting in line for 5 minutes...especially when you have 4 people working behind the counter. It is also VERY cramped and dirty in there. It is ridiculous how bad it is. I have seen people complaining to management several times at this location. I can't even express in one review how bad this Starbucks is. I am no longer a customer at this location.
Worse Starbucks I’ve ever been too. Not only filthy out front, trash, urine stains at front entrance but very dirty inside. Flies in bakery case, tables not wiped down, etc. I will pass and try one of the other coffee shops down the street. 🤢
This is the worst Starbucks store I have ever been to. The facility is always filthy and the tables are never clean. The store is small in nature, which is fine. However, the reoccurring guests (bums) are always consuming any open table, which isnt the biggest deal. It's just sometimes I'd like to be able to sit out and read the news while I enjoy my hot beverage. Furthermore, the actual service is the worst. I don’t really mind the other items I have listed, but the baristas are unfriendly and often times don’t fill my drink to it's proper designated/required amount. There have been several times when the staff poured me drinks that were light, and I asked them to fill it all the way up, I would receive pushback, complaints, and eye rolling. I've never left a bad review for anyone/anything, but felt that it is my responsibility to warn others about this terribly serviced Starbucks.
This location sucks, this location isn’t the one I go to but recently I’ve been going to since the forest park location is being remodeled, everytime I go to this location I see all the baristas from forest park working while the rest of the people just stand there and look at them struggle, so the wait time is longer since there’s just 6-7 people talking not even working while just 2-3 people working on our drinks or register, definitely don’t recommend going to this location, will recommend forest park or any other sb
Whenever I’m come here in the morning the wait is so long. One of the workers here doesn’t even announce names of the orders she just throws ir on the counter and expect you to read through all of them. Today I waited 40 minutes for a double smoked bacon because of her. And when I finally spoke up, they made it in less than a minute. It shouldn’t take somebody complaining about their order for to you to realize a customer has been waiting for one over an hour and you didn’t see what they needed. Will not be returning to this location
The cashier was very nice. It's was crowded, but we didn't wait too long . However, our drinks weren't good at all and we love Starbucks! I had an appointment, I did not have time to complain or anything. Also, this was the nasty Starbucks I've Ever been too. The tables were dirty, there was a spilled drink just sitting on counter, and the bathroom was disgusting.
The staff needs to do a lot better with communicating with customers in the morning at this particular location. My first time here. I ordered iced pecan latte and bacon sausage wrap the cashier did not ask for my name instead I told her. While I waited over 30 minutes for those orders the staff DID NOT call for my name. There was roughly 6-8 customers inside. 2 ppl orders ahead of mine was gone within 15min. My name was not called again, I waited 30min and noticed people grabbing their orders by which I knew was processed after mine. There was 4-5 girls staffed and not one called for my name. And I should NOT have to walk at the end of another counter for my order it should’ve been placed at the front with a NAME on it. That could have been avoided! I understand volume of customers at Starbucks can be overwhelming however, please be clear when processing orders and speak louder. And my coffee was disgusting! I ordered a medium and it look like a small! Look at my order smh. For this to be a new coffee fall season and it’s not made well is highly upsetting! I won’t ever go there again. No recommendation for this location. I’ve had better at location 633 N Saint Clair they work their butts off and do well every time I visit.
DO NOT GO INTO THIS STARBUCKS!!! It’s 1000 kids in there and clearly kids behind making the drinks. You would think that since this type of thing happens every “Wednesday” they would then tell you at the register that it’s going to be AN HOUR+ wait!!!! It’s just customer service, it’s just leadership, it’s just common courtesy!!! They need to get it together and get some type of real management in there to direct the traffic. I’ll never got back in there again. If you want to get in and out, go to Dunkin!
On 7/26/2025 At 8:15 am in the morning I was there with a client. In the middle of an appointment the store Manager "Jazzy" stopped my meeting and asked "how much longer will me and my client be there tables are for paying customers". I replied " I already made a purchase" and she walked away. At this time we were at the table for 10 minutes the store was empty with plenty available tables. As the manager Jazzy this was rude unnecessary and unprofessional. I frequently have meetings at Starbucks and this was the first time I have experienced this. I am disappointed .This was embarrassing for me and my client.
I ordered a Venti Gingerbread latte with protein milk and the milk was curdled. I ordered this for my birthday. I took a sip and it was so thick I thought maybe it was the whipped cream, but no it was curdled milk. Disgusting and very disappointing.
Beware this location does not carry cream cheese. The menu does not indicate they do not offer cream cheese. This morning I have a dry bagel with no taste and since I ordered this thru Uber Eats and tipped $8 lucky me I am paying top dollar.
