Love this place! They have the right size when it comes to burgers. Plus they have great fries. Haven't had the milkshake yet but seen a lot of people have one.

I moved to Oakland 7 years ago & thought NOBODY could too 'Top Burger' in Camas, Washington..OH BOY!! Every time I try a new burger joint I'm so disappointed! Ahn's is THE BEST AROUND, hands down! I just left 2 seconds ago with my to go order & my mouth is already watering just anticipating that first all the way to last bite! YUM!!! I'd give 10 stars if I could!

This place awesome! The price isn't exactly the best but it's a classic go to for late night food that really hits the spot. I recommend the cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate shake. Pro Tip: After breakfast you have to order from the window outside. If you show up and people are just standing around, just walk up towards the window and ask folks if they've ordered or not.

Its better than McDonalds and it reminds me of the way my grandma would make our cheese burgers as kids. The curly fries are better than Jackndabox.

Always are courteous and polite from the minute you walk in to the minute you walk out. There food is a little pricey but is worth it, they serve phenomenal food and shakes. I always get the double beacon cheese burger with an order of fries with special salt, and a strawberry shake to go!

Walked in on a whim. Hungry & needing to pick up a quick bite. Mom & Pop shop seems like they know their customers by name. Ordered a bacon cheeseburge w/ the works, fries, & a medium drink. Total $13.71, as menu is a la carte. Less than 10 minutes for my burger to be ready. Everything was Fresh tasting. Ate my Burger so fast, I forgot to take a picture.

Only gets a 5 because this place is nostalgic to me. Been going there for like 20 years. This is the only place I can eat a burger with pickles and mustard, nowhere else. Basically means that it is THAT good. No longer can dine in though. Breakfast is really good but haven't had in since becore covid.

Decent burgers and fries. Fries serving large enough to share for two. Made from frozen vs. fresh, but good. Made to order. Staff has always been kind (gave free cups of water to non paying customers) and attentive. Do not care for Fox fake news on the TV. I have never used order to go service. I like it that coke zero is a fountain selection. They have 4 or 5 beers on draft. Cleanliness meets acceptable level. Usually I observed only one staff person present, but once there were three. The fry oil has never smelled rancid.

The lady is so nice! The burgers are PERFECT and FRESH! I order a side of fries and the bag was full. My daughter loved her chicken strips and my husband had the sea food combo and loved it. We are DEFINITELY GOING BACK!

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger burger with a mango shake and curly fries. It's a short walk around Anh's to sit with a view of the lake while eating a tasty burger. The burger patty was well browned and full of flavor. The curly fries had a crispy crunchy bite and a tiny bit of heat. The mango shake was nice and fruity. Overall, a satisfying meal at a reasonable price. There is no dine in seating. There is some outdoor seating, or you can walk to Lake Merritt.

Ordered online and received the food immediately after arriving. I asked for a holder, and they took a box with a little bit of ketchup packets and emptied it and placed my drinks and food inside. The food itself was amazing, large portions, plenty of flavor. 10/10 would recommend.

First time here so I had to get the cheeseburger, curly fries, AND shake even though it's more than I usually eat in a meal. The butterscotch shake was fantastic, and the fries were mostly gone before I unwrapped my burger. Nothing fancy, but good basic food at a good price.

This stand-alone burger joint has better burgers than most of the chains. They're no In-N-Out, but they're lots better than the mainstream chains. I've never had a chewy or cardboard burger here. They also do traditional-style eggs, bacon, and hash browns breakfast (although I have not tried it). I do wish they would try a different french fry. They are very generous with them, but they are a manufactured crinkle-cut that I find kind of blah. I wish they'd get some fresher steak fries.

The fries are seasoned with season salt and they are fried to perfection. My husband's BLT was crispy Good! I ordered something new-- the pastrami sandwich. Unlike other places, they fried their pastrami which lessened the sodium and was pretty good. Sadly, I got more bread than I got meat and cheese. It was poorly portioned -- pick a sourdough or a wheat bread if not stated l, you will get a big fluffy white roll.

I love Ahn's burgers, let me start with that. I subtracted one star because sometimes the burger can be a little on the dry side AND they have gotten rid of the sesame seed bun, which I thought set them apart from the other hole in the wall burger spots sprinkled throughput Oakland. The lady at the window is generally always friendly. I recommend you call ahead and your food will be ready in about 10 minutes. It's got the perfect location right next to Lake Merritt so no time is a bad time for a burger and a beautiful ambience by the lake.

Large burgers, large portions for chips. Prices are a little steep if your eating alone. If portion sizes were smaller and prices lower this would be a great place.

I've had some pretty 'meh' experiences here. They never have sauces other than ketchup for fries (😝). That's no good in my book. Overall, not inexpensive enough for the quality.

Burgers are top notch. Hot dogs WILL DIE FOR. Chili seemed like it was left over for days ( no drip) no mustard ,mayo, relish. Just chili,cheese and purple onion. That hotdog could have stood up on its own leg...lol. would stick to burgers only ( turkey )

Solid burger, especially the pastrami burger. If you order curly fries they give you a medium paper bag full of them - one of the better deals there. Staff is always seems polite. Not crazy special, but reliable and tasty. Very convenient to grab a burger and head to the lake.

The food quality is STILL good but it's the prices now. They have doubled- a cheeseburger ALONE will cost you $7.50 or so when there are other iconic burger places where you can eat a whole meal for that price range and still have change leftover. Perhaps cost increase due to economy and cosmetic upgrades. They are still good in my book just pricier now.

Good food, but daughter of owner is quite a piece of work and not in a good way. I wanted to make a request for well-done burger. She behaved as if I was asking her to give a limb. So like I said good food.

Family said their burgers were ok (meh). The vanilla shake was bad, pineapple shake was good, banana one had a little too much artificial banana taste. They messed up on my veggie burger and put cheese and mayo. Some of the bacon on the bacon Burger was burnt. They had to open up all the burgers because they didn't know what they cooked. All in all it wasn't that bad, it could have been better for our 1st experience

I came here to dine in, but it isn't an option. There is space, but they don't use it for dine in, and you have to order at the window. There are some dirty tables and chairs outside that can seat 2 people at a time. The portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced, but not tasty. The burger patty is thin, and I wish it was smaller and thicker because with the thin wide patty, I mostly tasted bun and condiments/lettuce. The fries are crinkly and sad tasting. I wouldn't recommend going here with all the other options out there.

Ahn's is dependable in its food quality and is supported by many repeat customers. This isn't fancy and is not trying to be. The breakfast sandwich comes on buttered toasted bread. The fries are crinkle cut.

Been here a few times for lunch, and it's been hit or miss. If you can get over dealing with flies in the place, the food isn't bad, especially the crinkle fries.

It was a decent burger. The bun was crisply grilled, everything I wanted on the burger was there. On the other hand, the pastrami Burger had literally two pieces of pastrami on it. The chili cheeseburger had a healthy amount of chili and my brother had no complaints. Give what is paid for on the pastrami next time!

I gotta tell you, 45 minutes for a burger that should have been more like 15 minutes was served. Bland, below average and not memorable. Oh yeah, well done is the norm. I will not be back. My friend finally got his fish sandwich as we were leaving. What is up with the smallest amount of tartar sauce I've seen. Especially a double fish sandwich. If I'm desperate I still wouldn't go.

Too much riff raff hanging out in front and around the corner. I stopped there to get a fish sandwich and the little Jamaican crew on that block had an instant attitude. Just avoid it, it's not worth the hassle over a sandwich.

I have been going to Ahns my entire life. My parents had their first date their it’s always been special to me. Whatever this burger is that I had today makes me never want to go there again the color of the meat was different, smaller size, quality and taste disgusting. I called them immediately and asked them why they changed the burger. I was told it was the same meat I’ve been going there longer than the person who answered the phone 30 years I know what this burger looks like and taste like. Normally I split the burger in half but not today since it was so small. Please Ahns don’t go Gentry Burger on us. Signed a real Oakland Native.

My brother said the lemonade tasted like what he thought Minute Made would taste like. The pastrami Burger cost $8.75 for there to only be two pieces of pastrami on it. Chili cheeseburger with solid, my brother had no complaints. They need to do better with the pastrami and maybe change their lemonade to something that doesn't taste artificially sweetened.

Food is ok... I am going to Nations, Quarter Pound Burger or Sparkys Giant Burger next time. Very rude Asain family. Mother wouldn't serve me a black man without my mask, so I put 1 on. Which didn't bother me until the white boy got to order without the mask or questioning. Also I ordered a ice tea. That drink had no sugar or lemon. Went to return the ice tea & the dad had a attitude about me asking for sugars & lemon. After I just spent $35!! Very poor customer service.

I wanted to try this local spot out, so I ordered the chili cheese fries (4.65). I regret it: they put in American cheese (probably the cheapest cheese you can buy), the chili had absolutely no taste, and the fries had no seasoning. The worst part? They charged me $8.43—nearly twice as much of what I ordered! I guess you can't support locals all the time.

The fish sandwich was extremely nasty. It was a frozen fish patty. If I wanted frozen I would have went to the frozen section at the grocers and prepared my own sandwich. Never again

I was very hungry. I have purchased food here many times before. I ordered a Seafood Combo and sent my son to pick it up. It (the website) asked whether I would like it extra crispy, I thought it was referring to my fries, I clicked on it and when I received my food, the fries were edible, but the shrimp & fish were fried so extremely hard that you couldn't eat it. I almost broke my teeth trying to eat it.i called and spoke to the lady about the matter; she told me that you ordered extra crispy and that's what you got. I explained to the lady that that extra crispy doesn't mean unedible. All of the meat on my plate was rock hard. You could barely break it. She said that she wasn't going to redo the meal and stated that I could repurchase the meal $16.45 + tax. She wasn't going to accept any fault. I definitely won't be returning to this restaurant.

I’am giving them a 1 star for their pastrami meat/ pastrami sandwich. I’m not sure what that is but it isn’t no pastrami, I asked them about it and they said out their own mouth that they never eat it and they too don’t even know what it is. So do not buy their pastrami if you care about what you’re putting in your body. I would also recommend telling them that you would like fresh French fries because their French fries are not always fresh and me I respect quality over anything and that’s why I tell people do not rush my food make my food right and I will always spend with your business and recommend others to come and do business with your business. Other than that, the burgers are solid when they are made with perfection and not being rushed. I like my burgers fresh hot off the grill a lil chard I don’t like no burger that looks charbroiled I like my ground beef fried to perfection and my condiments fresh, as well as my French fries hot & fresh not burnt, cold, and old.
