Outstanding wait service, our Chef Sing Love absolutely amazing, excellent food, with short ribs and potatoes, and the other dish was plantains with beef, incredible. Our service manager brought us the finest Oaxaca Rum, an incredible place to dine in downtown Oakland!

1st dining at this restaurant and it was beyond my expectations! Absolutely delicious food, wonderful cocktails, and delightful service. I felt like I was sitting in a restaurant in South America. Do unique layers of flavors of each dish we had was extremely memorable. No one was talking at our table. We were too busy devouring the food in front of us. The only disappointment was the plantain gnocchi was not available so I will come back for sure to try this enticing dish!

Came here for happy hour and was truly impressed! The cocktails were well made, the food delicious and flavorful and the service was so kind and attentive. Definitely worth a visit especially for the Yuma fries with chicarrón!

Stopped by Dave’s Hot Chicken in Oakland and had an awesome experience. The food was great. It was perfectly crispy chicken, flavorful seasoning, and heat levels that actually deliver. Everything came out fresh and hot. Big shoutout to our servers Arianna and Irirn. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made the visit even better. The conversation was genuinely great, not rushed, and made the whole experience feel more personal rather than just another quick stop. I had a great experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken. We decided to be brave and ordered the Reaper spicy chicken for dine-in — complete with signing the waiver 😅. The cashier, Irvin, was awesome from the start. He gave us a helpful tip to add honey to the chicken to help balance the heat. Once our food came out and we started eating, it was pretty obvious we were struggling with the spice. Without us even asking, Irvin kindly offered to swap out our chicken for something less spicy so we could actually enjoy our dinner. That level of kindness and customer care really stood out. I’ll definitely be back — just next time, I’ll skip the Reaper 😂.

I don't usually write for fast food joints due to the simplicity of ordering food, quickly receiving it and having a consistently moderate experience— but this Daves Hot Chicken is an exception. I’ve been stopping by and grabbing a Daves #2 order quite often and every time it’s super delicious. Thanks to this order #2 I’ve been able to gain weight and not be skinny anymore lol. Shoutout and thanks to the cashier named Angel who is there in the afternoons usually for always being ready to get my order in immediately and accurately. The vibe here is super chill because of Angel and crew. Definitely worth checking out if you're craving some chicken sliders and are in the area.

I drove by this place many times during my commute to work, so finally decided to give a try, Glad i did! Got myself 2 sliders & fries combo mild chicken, absolutely delicious meal!! Plus Ariana the worker was so kind & sweet!

This restaurant is truly a little gem of Colombia in Oakland. The service was genuinely nice and welcoming, even though I could tell they were a bit short staff and they still handled everything with grace. I absolutely loved the presentation and flavor of the salmon ceviche. It was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully plated. I also ordered an espresso martini; it was good, but I personally missed that little touch of Baileys to make it perfect. The décor is colorful, lively, and full of personality it really adds to the whole experience. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because my steak arrived slightly cold. However, it's nothing they can't improve, and I'm definitely willing to give them a second chance very soon. Thank you, Parche team see you soon!

I have no complaints about the food!! It’s delicious. But the wait time for the food during non rush hour is kind of crazy … it was at least 25 minutes after we placed the order , The area plate had so many butts of the squash, I’m not against being respectful and use everything and every part of the vegetable. But ALL of the squash on my plate were end parts of the squash which was a bit irritating.

Very delicious food! The most yummy shocking surprise was actually the flan. Otherwise the pork belly and pork chop were incredible. Brussel sprouts were what you’d expect. Only disappointment was the drink service was quite slow.

Went for lunch. Awesome ambiance, sad I didn’t get to try a cocktail but I bet they’re great! The ceviche was flavorful but it was mostly liquid and had only a ridiculously few small pieces of fish. Also had the short rib sandwich which was delicious. Prices seem high in comparison to the portions but the flavors are good. Service was very friendly but was only offered more iced tea after we paid the check.

Tried Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time and I’m hooked. The chicken was super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the spice levels are no joke. The sliders are huge and come with pickles and their special sauce, which ties it all together. Fries were crispy and well-seasoned too. Definitely recommend getting the combo. Place was clean, staff was friendly, and the food came out fast. A little pricier than typical fast food, but you get what you pay for — totally worth it.

Very beautiful restaurant, and maybe I just came in on an off day, but I had this place on my list for a while. The ceviche was nicely presented and the ingredients worked well together, but it was lacking seasoning. I also wasn’t sure if bottled lime juice was used as the base, which gave it a flat taste. After adding some salt, the flavors improved and I enjoyed it more. Then came the chicharrón con yuca. I’ll admit I messed up here—I probably should’ve ordered another entrée instead of trying too much at once. The server explained that their version of chicharrón (pork belly) is intentionally served chewy rather than crispy, but it was far tougher than expected and not enjoyable in texture. I didn’t expect a refund or anything like that, but I do think feedback is important. I truly hope to come back and give this place another try, because I’d love to find some authentic Colombian food in the Bay Area.

Food was aight. Expected higher quality from an Oakland business that’s just what’s up. Am I allergic to vegetables? Hell no but these portions insult me. The picture attached shows ALL the slaw on 2 “sliders” sandwiches. Kudos on the chicken, but I can find tendernism and care else where.

Got the 10 piece chicken bites with french fries. This food is mediocre all day. The chicken didn't have much flavor at all, the Dave's sauce taste like mayonnaise and ketchup with maybe some Cayenne sprinkled in. The fries weren't bad, but not good. Very mid on the fries. The chicken bites are pretty small. So much hype about this place, I don't get it. When I paid for my order at the counter and tapped No Tip on the screen the woman taking my order let out a exasperated sigh. That actually gave me a chuckle. Overall a very mediocre experience at Dave's Hot Chicken, it's nothing special at all.

2nd visit. First time, food was okay but expensive. This evening, food was even more expensive, mediocre at best and they never brought us our ordered entree. For 3 of us, a $100 happy hour quality meal with unorganized service. Brussel sprouts way too sweet. The $21 arepas - tricked out with sauce and beans, a far from arepas we had in Columbia. Can’t comment on the bistec because it never was served to us, and we had to request that the charge be removed from our bill. Clearly a popular place but for us, Oakland residents, there are better alternatives in Uptown. Not going back.
