It was definitely a very pleasant experience. From the moment we were greeted, they asked if it was our first time and explained everything we needed to know about the preparation. The staff was very friendly, the food delicious, and the portions generous. It's hot, though, and since it's a place that cooks with charcoal, there's inevitably some smoke, but nothing untoward. The bathrooms were clean. The prices were appropriate for the quality of the food; it's a mid-high priced place. Highly recommended, we'll be back to try everything, haha. By the way, the potatoes were delicious too. It's hard to find a place with good potatoes. This place deserves a 10 for its potatoes.

Sadly, the food and service was poor. Visited previously and had a good experience, but this time it was not, and especially not for the prices charged. One order was the sirloin, requested to be blue temp. The requested steak was brought out and was basically a thin piece of meat, like tasajo. There is nothing wrong with tasajo, but it is not what is expected when ordering a sirloin and not worth 400 pesos. When asked, the chef said it wasn't one of their better cuts of meat and agreed it couldn't be cooked as requested. The waiter and/or chef should have said it is a very thin cut and not able to be cooked as requested, instead of basically saying sorry, that's what it is. Had someone said what it was when the order was placed, the order would have been changed to something else on the menu instead. There were other problems with the food, such as ribs being dry and the waiter not being well informed about the offerings. This was enough of a negative experience that this looks like the last time it will be visited and also highly recommended that others take a pass as well.
