Nice place to grab a quick bite while exploring the beach. We ordered plantains with 1/4 rotisserie chicken and pinto beans. Meal was delicious and hearty! Couldn’t ask for anything better. If you’re on the beach and you want something more homemade and hearty I would give this place a try.

TLDR: Delicious Lomo Saltado with friendly service. Busy, slightly cramped beachside vibe. Water could be better, but overall a great spot worth trying. My friend and I ordered the Lomo Saltado (Beef Stir Fry) and it was absolutely delicious. My friend mentioned it’s hard to mess this dish up, but I still really loved it. The service was kind and attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance was busy and a bit cramped, but that’s expected for an afternoon near the beach. I do wish they filtered their water, but everything else was great. While I can’t vouch for other dishes, the plates we saw at neighboring tables looked just as appetizing. Our total came to $58.04 before tip.

Food was very flavorful. The 1 thing I would do next time, asked for the chicken to be cooked a few min more or asked for more done piece. But nevertheless, even the galic rice was tasty... I will go again b4 my Vaca is over.

El Huarique is a hidden gem in Venice, and their fried fish tacos are absolutely next-level. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, topped with fresh onions, cilantro, and just the right balance of sauces. The flavors come together beautifully – so good that I couldn’t stop at just one order. The portions are generous, and every bite feels like the perfect mix of crunch and freshness. On top of that, the service is warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you’re in Venice and craving peruvian food or tacos, do yourself a favor and head here. The fried fish tacos alone are worth the trip – 100/10!

We had lunch by Venice Beach at El Huarique during our vacation & it was amazing! Our server, Freddy, was very attentive & gave great food suggestions. The food was absolutely delicious! I can’t wait to come back again, on our next trip to LA. Definitely recommend!

Quick service window in Venice. You are sitting outside so be prepared for the wind and gray weather! The fish tacos were 10/10! So light! So fluffy! The yellow sauce took it to another level! Shrimp Saltados 8/10 had great flavor! Kinda messy for a beach day. The rice was hard, but overall delightful!

Today was a great experience today with my team out in Venice beach during the day. Great way to switch up the routine and have a marvellous day on the beach. I would definitely suggest that you do take out so u don’t have to wait for your food if you are time crunch. With great quality food and fresh it’s definitely worth the wait. It was my first time trying out Peruvian food. I was impressed with the rostary chicken & fried rice combination that they have order it. We had a group and place a big order to eat. This is considered a cloud kitchen where it’s just pickup and delivery. My boyfriend and I ended up here a few hours after our plane landed from Houston. I eat delicious South and Central America food and seafood all the time at home, but when I tell you this place is truly special, I mean it. We ordered the beef empanadas, spicy fish ceviche, fish tacos, and side of plantains. The spicy ceviche is the best I've ever tried, the bowl came with huge pieces of white fish, roasted corn, another type of corn(or maybe hominy?), red onions, and sweet potato. The dish was incredibly unique and complex, I've never had anything like it before. We ended up using the ceviche sauce to top our fish tacos and it was unbelievable. You can tell the beef empanadas had a delicious sofrito base because the beef flavor was infused with the taste of caramelized onions and tomatoes. Of course, the plantains were amazing and had a beautiful caramelized look and taste. They serve everything with a fresh homemade green salsa(not spicy at all) that paired perfecyly with every dish. Don't let my subpar pictures fool you, this place is truly something special and very worth the visit. I'll certainly be back here a few hours after the next time I land in LA.

El Huarique is a 💎! My dear sister-friend and I stayed about a block from this place when we visited Venice Beach last month. Their food is absolutely delicious and the people are wonderful. So personable. Leo, the owner, was so sweet! I forget our servers name, but she was kind & helpful also! The first day, we ordered the Peruvian sea bass fish tacos- OMG! I've literally never had fish tacos that were so crispy & packed with flavor. *chefs kiss 🤌🏽 The second time, I ordered the shrimp fried chaufas- amazing! I was supposed to go back a third time for the empanadas, but I didn't quite make it. (our itinerary was full) However, I definitely will keep this place saved under my favorites, so next time I'm visiting, I will stop by! Thank you for the lovely experience & great food!! **Keep up the good work**

Really delicious food for such a touristy spot! I’d recommend things that are authentic Peruvian. We got ceviche, meat, and fish tacos (all super delicious!!!). My kid and her friends got a chicken wrap and it was no bueno. I’d come back and eat more!!!! Just be aware of flies … it’s fairly open-air to beach … so can’t blame them.

Absolutely the best fish tacos I have had in SoCal. Every time I am in the area, this is my go to place. The seabass is fresh, the batter has a little ginger and spices for flavor, and the green sauce is delightful. Guy running it are super nice. The alley area with the seating is cute, but can get a little cold with the shade and wind. The chicken is really good, but when I am there, I always hit up those fish tacos.

When i arrived at venice, i was really hungry and needed a heavy meal. I found this peruvian restaurant. I asked what’s the best seller and the waiter mentioned the lomo soltados. It was so good!! Flavorful and delicious! Meat was tender and juice. Again, i tried the next day. Will definitely come back!!

I have Celiac and need to eat gluten free. The guy working was really kind and explained how their beef empanadas are 100% gluten free, and are prepped in a separate area. They are also cooked in a dedicated toaster oven. The empanadas were so delicious!

As a visitor from Toronto, saw this little Latin place on the boardwalk (thought it was Mexican at first 😀) it’s Peruvian ! Ordered rotisserie chicken based on recommendation from server, plus chicken empanadas and the yucca. All were great and flavorful! Fantastic friendly service as well. Highly recommended if you want to try Peruvian!

I was walking up and down the beach line looking for something to eat, something that offered vegetarian food. I stumbled across this restaurant and was not disappointed. It is such a cozy spot... the food that Oscar & Elvia in the kitchen cooked was delicious and filled with amazing flavor... thankyou to Jarol for being a great and kind server! The lomo saltado changed my life. It was so delicious, even the white rice. It's a little pricey but the food is good so can't complain. Servers are very nice too.

The best South American food I've ever had! I ordered 1/2 a rotisserie chicken, an a la carte piece of fried fish, and fried sweet plantains. Everything was absolutely delicious. The 'Aji Verde' sauce on the side was the perfect condiment, with a creamy texture and a delicious, subtle kick of spice. The rotisserie chicken was unlike a standard lemon pepper or garlic preparation, it had a far more complex and savory flavor profile. I specifically came here in search of halal options and was very pleased to find that both the chicken and the fish were halal. The whole meal was less than $50 and more than enough to share. This is a family-run restaurant, and from the moment you walk in, you can feel the love. I was fortunate enough to have Leo as my host, whose father, Ernesto, owns the restaurant and is the chef. I definitely plan to be back soon!"

Lovely, small restaurant serving authentic Peruvian food al fresco. The yucca was fried and seasoned perfectly and the aji verde was quite pepper-forward, making for a wonderfully light hot sauce. The ceviche mixto tasted very fresh and had a very balanced flavor. Very reminiscent of home. Would dine here again.

I tried the rotisserie chicken (it’s halal which is great) but I am not sure whether because the shop was close to closing or not but chicken was not cooked well and it didn’t taste good. The garlic rice was stale. The guy was trying to be nice or maybe quickly make a last sale and of day, but he acted like they were open when they were close to closing, and the food wasn’t great and then they share that the place gets sketchy at night. So overall not a good experience. Don’t go to this place since the food is not fresh and I wouldn’t consider it to be authentic Peruvian food
