I went here for the first time for my anniversary and it was delicious. We definitely will be going back to try something new. We chose to do the chefs tasting and it was a great way to get a bit of everything!
First time dining at Hearth. My sister wanted to try the restaurant because she was curious about the Chef Tasting ( 5 course) menu . We absolutely loved it. It was fun & exciting to try the five course menu . Tasty & flavorful . We enjoyed all of it. Our main dishes were salmon & NY steak . DELICIOUS . Atmosphere was classy & service was wonderful! The Only regret, we should have personally thanked the Chef for the delicious dishes .
We came here for our anniversary and did the tasting menu and it was amazing. We had a reservation, and they sat us when we arrived. The staff was so friendly and the food came out for each course pretty quick. We were so full by the end of the meal and we struggled to finish our mains and dessert but we made it through. We loved everything we ate and it all tasted unique and fresh.
This place is SO good!! I highly recommend you try the option where you pay the flat fee of $60 per person and they bring you TONS of really unique things to try. They were ALL sooooo yummy! The service was outstanding, ask for Cullen, he is SO adorable and did a wonderful job, the atmosphere is relaxing and quiet.
Dinner date with the husband, we have been wanting to try this place. The chef’s tasting is a must if you want the full experience. All the course’s were a delight and flavors were on point. Ordered the salmon and NY strip for our mains. The salmon was to die for!!! Only critique on the steak was to serve the chimichurri sauce on top of the steak as it gets lost on top of the fingerlings and to add more salt and seasoning to the steak itself. Dessert was so fun and play of savor and sweet were so fun!!!! Service was friendly, fast and wonderful. We will def be back!!!
Chef tasting was outstanding. Would recommend this place.
Came here to celebrate my husbands birthday! Relaxing and warm atmosphere. Our waiter Erica immediately greeted us and had so much knowledge of all the items served. She was great! Aside from the awesome service, the food was amazing! We chose the chefs tasting and it was worth every cent. Every dish served was an art piece and so beautiful, but most importantly... It was delicious! Would definitely come back. Please enjoy the pictures of all the wonderful and delicious art work we had the pleasure of devouring! Great food, great drinks, great energy and, the best company!!
Highly recommend the chefs tasting menu for a fun and flavorful date night or special occasion. I loved the creativity of the dishes. The flavors were unique, inventive, and delicious. I thought the pricing was fair for the quality and the experience that you get. The staff was very friendly! Try to snag a table near the eastern windows if you can, the mountain views are stunning.
It was definitely a fun experience! The food was so delicious and the server was so informative and kind. Our party definitely had a fun time.
Exceeded our expectations! Food was excellent snd the service was great! Well worth it!
It's been years but it's as good as we remember. Beautiful, artful food with unique flavors that aren't too out there. They brought us a cracker appetizer I can't explain but it was light and we enjoyed. Then some cubed house made focaccia with butter olive oil and blueberry balsamic vinegar. This was my least favorite dish, but still good. I missed the traditional balsamic taste. Next up, salad. Mine was a berry & goat cheese salad. House made dressing (not out of a bottle) and very subtle flavored kiwi yogurt. Full of different textures and light flavors, not overdressed. The perfect amount and so pretty on the plate. Then I got the small plate trout with a citrus sauce that gave it a vibrant flavor. Very small and not a small price tag but I also ate from my husband's selection. His steak eat perfectly cooked. Only 4 ounces, so not large, but ideal. Not too heavy. The shrimp were the very best and I would just order them. Roasted vegetables cooked with what I thought was pancetta but it wasn't. It was salami. We each got dessert - me, a triple berry tart with a small scoop of caramel ice cream. Nothing was overly sweet. The cheesecake had a chocolate sauce with breadcrumbs. Again, not overly sweet and not bitter Trust the chef. Get dessert. Right now dinner only. I've been for lunch before and it was ok. Get reservations and go for dinner. They add on 20% and our server got above that. It's really chill and laid back with upscale food. It was about $120 for 2 of us. One beer and water (I'm not a drinker). You do need to take an elevator to get there. It's on the second floor.
This is a higher end restaurant, serving unique combinations and flavors. They have a winter menu at this time and set dishes. Large plate Serving duck, salmon, pork, beef and vegetarian option 23-32 a plate. They also serve oysters when available and a variety of small plates for a little less cost. My wife's salmon was delicious with a flavorful searing and crust served with a tasty butternut squash. I got the beef served with fingerling potatoes and roast vegetables. The stake was ok not the best I've had but not bad and the potatoes and vegetables were delicious. We also got chocolate tarts which were amazing mint creme with rich smooth chocolate. Amazing. I'm recommend trying it out. Plan to spend a little more though.
Very good! If you’re in town, must try!
This was recommended by a friend to try out..We had the mothers day 9 course tasting menu..Everything was amazing! The server was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Overall this place was forsure a 5 star experience for me..Thanks to the chef and staff for this amazing experience.
We ate here with our family here. What a wonderful experience. The waiter, Ryan, was right on point. He explained everything that we were eating. We had the Chef’s recommendation and were not disappointed!
This restaurant is wonderful. The food was outstanding. The meal we ate was the best we had on our whole trip. Elegant yet affordable. The flavored olive oil and balsamic vinegar was very nice to dip the bread into. Our waiter was very attentive and highly knowledgeable about the menu items.
Amazing! The service was fantastic and the food followed suit! I was surprised at the portions and absolutely loved the flavors!! Our waiter suggested the Rosa Regala and it was delicious!! Will definitely be coming back!!... 2 years later, STILL A FAVORITE!! I've been in several times over the last 3 months, I was there the night the "mature teenagers" came in - entitled and self centered, loud and disrespectful to everything (mocking the decor displays, and unable to pronounce ingredients) making comments about the food, the servers and other guests and then they "maturely" started playing trap music, ya know, the kind their parents bought them airpods so THEY didnt have to hear it? And to continue their maturity; switched the lovely noir films to a nickeloden show. What compliant do the other patrons make? What sacrifice must the restaurant make because this group of CHILDREN came in dressed as adults, wanting adult 'respect' and when they weren't catered to ENOUGH, they tell their enabling helicopter parent to give a bad review to a great place. I specificially dine at high end restaurants to avoid crying babies and snot faced kids who havent learned manners and etiquette, I sincerely hope the owners and staff disregard the Fin-lames and continue to cater to their standards and not whiny millennials.
My favorite restaurant in Utah! Been here 6 times now. Excellent food and service as always! I had the pork tonight with a maple balsamic reduction and for dessert the bread pudding.
Cannot recommend this enough. Hands down the best food and experience we've had at a restaurant. Staff were very kind and helpful, and the food was delicious. Each course was brought out at the perfect time.
Wonderful, cozy atmosphere. The food is a bit on the pricey side but quite delicious. The drink menu had some local favorites that pair well with the meals!
Great tastes, good times- My wife and I went here for a "date night." Had an absolute blast. The staff are friendly and attentive- but not so attentive that you feel you are being watched. The drinks are amazing- especially the smoked whiskey (pictured) that imbued the elements of an old fashioned perfectly. We ordered the Charcuterie board and oysters as apps- simply amazing. The entrées we got- the pork, and the stroganoff, were not only amazing, but an impressive portion size for the cost. Add all this to the fact thatvyou can take some if thier signature ingredients home, and you have home run in the heart of Ogden. Big shoutout to our server, Amy. She made us feel wanted and appreciated!
Second time eating here and it is phenomenal! The dinner menu is relatively small but very high end and high quality. Waiter said the style is considered American modern, but that does not quite do it justice. The waiter and staff were super friendly and helpful. It is a more expensive place to eat some come prepared to spend the money....you might be at ditch the kids and bring the spouse!
Sat down right away. Surprised they had plenty of seating near the bar. But it's after 8pm and only Thu. Had a ginger beer (my fav, I don't drink, don't judge). Then a strawberry salad w balsamic dressing. Light, fresh, wonderful. Then the Beef Tip Stroganoff. It is a creamy, yummy, beefy, pasta dish. And big enough for two. Heaven!
A truely excellent restaurant! We had high expectations and they were exceeded. We had the 10 course meal and had a lot of fun trying all the different dishes. Some reviews complained that the portions were too small, but we thought they were perfect. By the end of the meal we were very full. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special occasion. I hope others get to go and enjoy it as much as we did!
My mom and I popped in on a Saturday afternoon. The place was pretty empty. They had a lunch special going on as part of an event in Ogden and we ordered that. I got the stew as a soup and a rabbit sandwich with truffle fries. The fries were pretty good, but the sandwich was a little dry. But I had never had rabbit before so who knows?! Great atmosphere and great views of 25th street. Would definitely recommend.
We tried the Chef's tasting menu and were blown away with amazing food. Austin is a mad scientist who understands flavor and texture. The staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend trying their menu. Best food in a long time.
The Chefs menu was a great value. Very unique dishes and quite the experience with 8 tasting courses plus a main and a dessert . The Chefs gave great descriptions and definitely enhanced the experience. Quite the spot in Ogden, UT as you would only expect this in a big foodie city like LA, NY City, San Fran, etc.
Very fun 6 course meal with lots of different and tasty courses. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and food.
We reserved the Panorama Room for our company's Christmas party. The food was delicious and the service was stellar! We all had a great time!
I have looked and looked for a truly adventurous filled dinner experience that both made my taste buds popped and also made me want to take smaller bites so I could truly savor and enjoy the flavor. They had us choose the dessert and the meat for the entrée. All other four courses were something that they came up with for us to try. It’s like what you see in the movies and each dish is unique and fun. The staff was fun to talk to our server was amazing and very attentive and we even got to speak to the chef and watch him create our food. It really was special. Thank you heart on 25th.
This was the first time I had experienced Hearth on 25th. Everything was outstanding. We Both ordered the chef selection with beef and elk. The food was amazing and the portions were great. Very friendly and attentive staff as well. We are definitely going back!
We each had the chefs tasting experience which allowed us to sample many dishes. The chef is a true artist marrying tasty flavor combinations and adding unexpected surprises to traditional chicken and beef. Our table sampled elk chicken and beef dishes. All were terrific! The squash appetizer was also delightful. We will all be back!
We chose plates from the main menu but were so pleased that we will be back for the Chefs tasting menu next time we are in town! We got the charcuterie as an app, and then the elk and duck entrees - the flavors were notably unique and soooo yummy. Highly recommend if you are a genuine foodie! Like seriously, their chocolate balsamic is to die for!
Nice restaurant, with good food. We throughly enjoyed our dinner. My reason for my 4 score is based on the restaurant not having items we wanted to order. The server and food we did have were great.
Really cool restaurant! You eat on the second floor of a building overlooking historic 25th street. The dinning room is very classy and seems upscale. The food is very unique with items like king salmon, elk, rabbit and duck. It's a bit pricey and the serving are kind of small, but it's worth it for the experience. It all tastes great as well.
I had a nice chef's tasting here. It was about 8 dishes. It started out with five small tasting starters, a palette cleanser, the main (I chose duck), dessert, and dessert to go. The three dishes were easy tasting fruit spoons of grape/beet, mango, and green apple salad with almonds/olives. Apologies, I don't remember all the details. There was a butternut gnocchi on pistachio basil crumble. The crumble was great, but the gnocchi was too dense and flavorless to me. The fifth app was a delicious duck confit arepa, followed by an savory chimichurri elk dish (no picture). Palette cleanser: cranberry sorbet, ginger shaving. The main, duck leg, was cooked really well. It was moist and flavorful. The accompanying pasta was too al dente for my tastes. Overall, I enjoyed the meal, with two glasses of wine, and included 20% gratuity, it came out to about a bill. I'd rate this closer to 3.5 stars. Staff was nice. I was the only one in the restaurant (it was early ~4:30PM). It was nice to try once.
I had high hopes for this place. In chase of a unique experience and an adventure in Ogden , we head out to Hearth on 25th for dinner after a great day of riding snowbasin. On a Saturday night, there were no other customers except for us; we requested to sit on the patio where I imagine on a nice night makes for great people watching :- ) We liked our server; however ,the staff in general was just ok. Having heard about the oils here; I was looking forward to try out the different options.. Not impressed. The fish was overcooked ( Enough for me to not finish it ). I ordered every desert option on the menu and was overall satisfied with the desert. Disappointed in the wine selection. All in all I will go back here as I enjoyed the quiet dining on the patio :-)
We reserved a table for 5:30 to allow for bringing two young children. It took nearly two hours to get our food and when it did arrive we were all underwhelmed. The menu looked incredible but execution was far from Impressive. It’s expensive and very slow service. I would not return.
It's a beautiful restaurant, and we were excited to have our Valentine's dinner there. It was an overall good experience; however, there were a few glaring issues that made it so that we'll be unlikely to return soon. The first issue was that our glasses were empty most of the time we were there, and when the waitress came by to fill up our water, she only filled it halfway. The second issue we had was that we paid a not-insignificant amount of money for our meal (and the small plates were great,) but the steak for the main entrée was riddled with gristle and very difficult to eat (coupled with the fact that it was in a bowl that made cutting it at all quite a feat.) The last thing, made more frustrating by the poor service we'd had getting our glasses willed throughout the experience, was that there was a compulsory gratuity on the bill. When we reserved the meal online I don't recall seeing anything about that, and it added more to our bill than I felt was fair given the quality of service. I'm staunchly of the opinion that gratuities should be given for great service, not forced upon a patron of your institution simply because they chose to dine there. We would not have tipped as much as we felt we were being forced to after the experience we had, and that's one of the main reasons we'll think twice before returning to dine here.
So my wife decided to come here with our friends. It took our server about 20-30 minutes before he came over and took out order and finally gave us water. We waited for the bread and did not receive any. After getting our food we still asked for bread and did not receive any. Waited till the end right before the bill and finally received it. The food was amazing. Food was fresh, hot, and delicious. After spending over $360 dollars between dinner, drinks, and appetizers I had realized that the tip was built in. If I could I would have tipped 10 percent if I could have. But they have automatic 20% gratuity. Our server was absolutely terrible. He could have done way better.
I'm not one to give a low rating, however my partner and I did not have a good time here. We came here expecting a fancy, delicious meal and it was not worth it. The price for the quality of the meal you get is just not worth it. I mean the food isn't bad but it just wasn't flavorful. I would only come here for cocktails and maybe the charcuterie board. Other than that, don't waste your money.
We went there for a special occasion, and the service was terrible. We had not had our food order taken after being there for an hour and a half. It took an hour for the bread we ordered to arrive. Needless to say, we were forced to pay our bill for our beverages and leave.
Service was great and restaurant was beautiful! Water, bread, and octopus were served at room temperature as though they were left sitting. Elk was charred on the outside and very rare on the inside. Automatic 20% gratuity. There is a restaurant in SLC with a similar menu at a higher quality with lower pricing, so this was disappointing. No plans to recommend this restaurant or return.
We was all excited to try the hearth for the first time. We had our work Christmas party. Had a party of 22, we had the 5 course meal which was mostly full of sugar everything was so sweet. I had the trout and vegetables. The trout was just ok, the vegetables were cold and the sauce was terrible . My husband had the duck he liked the duck, but the chocolate noodles not so much. The chocolate dessert was disgusting. I would not recommend for the money the company paid for this kind of food. The next morning I have FOOD POISONING!! Just spoke to a few ppl like 5 so far that are sick this morning.
I’m almost comforted to read that others had a poor experience as well. The attempt and service was there but the execution was poor. The size of the plates was average for a fine dining experience but the flavor was completely absent. The dishes were not user friendly due to the shape of the small plate and size/arrangement of food. The fact that all dishes were pre assembled really hurt the quality. The main courses were decent but the base of the dishes, regarles off protein were the same. The base should compliment the protein. The deserts and staff were the best parts. I wanted to like this place so bad. I will try to come back for a regular dinner service because I don’t think this night represents them as a whole.
Terrible experience!!! My wife and I dined for the Valentines Day 6 course dinner. I hope whoever had their hands in making anything except the Cod and the desserts gets fired. The first course, the elk was served cold with no seasoning. the second course, the prosciutto was out already and they served with some cheap salami. I choked on a Shiso stick that was in my food, I guess it should come with a choking hazard warning. My beef "striploin" was a cheap cut that had no sear or seasoning. my wifes salmon was such a small piece that it makes me question the title "entree". The fact that i paid close to $250 dollars for what we ate is insufferable. The way the food made me feel... lets say i would rather sit in 4pm Salt Lake traffic than eat here again. i will never be returning to this place and will not reccommend it to anyone.
We did the Valentines tasting menu. We both agree that it's the worst food we've ever tasted. The food was bland. The steak was a cheap cut with no flavor. The king salmon was VERY fishy and raw. Both our main dished were cold. The chefs are like right next to us serving cold main dishes. What the heck! None of the sauce has any flavor. The service was mediocre at best. Our bread didn't come out until half way through and the person who brought it out was like: "Uh, I'm supposed to take this out to you." They refilled our water once. We glance at the people sitting next to us and theirs were empty too. Our first and last time here for sure.
Came for the new years tasting hoping for something unique. Honestly the whole menu was awful. Tarts that had no business tasting like bacon, shrimp served swimming in yogurt? Sea urchin porridge? Elk rib entree served charred past the point of edible. Worst 600 dollars ever spent. Skip it next time you're in town. I will say, the service was great once we were actually acknowledged. We loved Frank, and we're so grateful for his attentive attitude and professional demeanor. The one redeeming thing about this meal.
Awful. Christmas Eve dinner with the family. Not sure where to begin. I’ll have to list as bullets to simplify our experience. -bar is not professional. Chopped olives for martinis -servers could not tell us what was on our charcuterie board. Ordered the expensive one. Didn’t have half the items listed when served and our server when asked said “yeh we don’t have it.” No sub offered nothing. When asked what the 15 sauces on the plate next to the cubes of cheeses were she said I don’t know. When asked if she could find out she said again “yeh I don’t know.” -wagyu burger served raw. Took 30 mins to get a new one which was well well done -got my main dish 20 mins after everyone else. It was dropped in front of me by one of the cooks. No one followed up. It was at least good and hot. -duck main was two cubes of meat. Not sliced or attractively presented. -server clumsily dropped the dirty utensils on top of us -“free” chef sweet bites w check tasted gross. I think they were left is over breads. This restaurant has no idea how to serve customers and should not be considered fine dining in any way except for the menu prices. This was a several hundred dollar meal. There were no check ins, no apologies, no offered fixes. Definitely one of if not the worst experience I’ve had dining in Utah.
Came here for the valentines tasting, decided we would splurge for a date night. All of the food was cold, unseasoned, and tasted disgusting, gag worthy. They also left our waters empty several times, and would only refill it a little at a time. Mind you, you're forced to tip 20% ($40 for us) and then they ask you to tip even more after the fact. I wouldn't mind the tip if the service was good, but it wasn't. The only thing I enjoyed was the chocolate tart, but its not worth the $85 I spent on just myself. We ended up going next door to lucky slice to eat after our unsatisfactory dinner.
