I liked the meat menu better than the seafood one I tried (personal taste). Nice place, friendly and helpful staff. Finally, a place where you can find a good babà. Highly recommended!

A small clubhouse in the village of Oggiona, five minutes from the A4 Cavaria exit towards Varese. Restaurant and pizzeria with Italian flair and Mediterranean flavors. We enjoyed pizza and traditional Southern Italian dishes. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Family lunch, for a birthday celebration. A small, unremarkable village trattoria. The restaurant is divided into two parts (the first room at the entrance is used as a club, while the second is used as a dining room with a large, open-view oven). The staff is friendly, though limited (service in the dining room and no one at the bar); the portions (at least for the pasta) are generous, and the quality isn't exceptional. Prices (displayed) are average, and the overall quality/price ratio is good. Definitely not an unforgettable experience.

Quiet and clean place, friendly waitresses. The pizza dough was really good, but the toppings were very light. Mine wasn't bad, but my husband's, unfortunately, tasted like nothing. The prices, in my opinion, aren't in line with the norm, or at least you can get pizzas at other places for the same price. Only one comment (not the restaurant's fault): there are so many mosquitoes and flies; they need some deterrents (outdoor mosquito coils, lamps, etc.).

Three stars for the atmosphere and risotto, two stars for the pizza and staff. The porcini mushroom pizza I ordered was easily recognizable, and the aroma was nonexistent. There are better options for the same price.

So I've been coming here for years and I trust the Chef a lot. A while back we even had one of our daughter's baptisms and I have to say I've never been dissatisfied, but tonight I want to tell you Ignazio, I'm sorry, one dish wasn't right, maybe just one but there was little we could do and it was the grilled swordfish. We had the other three first courses but to forget, yes, there are bad days too!!! I could have overlooked it for once but I'm writing this review because with food, even just one meal, people can make irrevocable decisions, not my case!! But be more careful with the dishes, they are still quite expensive so my advice is that it's fine to revisit the dishes but don't raise the bar too much because the location is what it is. Focus on quality and the right price as you have always done. Bye Ignazio, I'm sorry but I'll come back anyway and try again. But tonight at the fat pcatt. 😔😔😔😔

The Taverna dei Lupi has a very informal atmosphere, perhaps too stilted in my opinion. Evening service features paper napkins, and wine by the glass is served in a bottle that I assume was recycled from oil. The television, with Striscia la notizia on full blast, could easily have been replaced with background music, again in my personal opinion. They seated us in a corner of the room at a table next to four other people who seemed to be sitting at almost the same table, and the rest of the restaurant was completely empty. I would have gladly sat somewhere else, too, because there was enough room, again in my opinion. We started dinner with a pepata that wasn't cleaned properly because almost all the mussels had beards, but other than that, they weren't very flavorful, and we found some completely soggy bread at the bottom, which we didn't eat. Then came the grilled fish, which left a lot to be desired because it was very sparse and not grilled enough. I don't know what the white fish was because it was mangled, but the flavor was quite good. The mixed fried food was really plentiful and quite good too, and the French fries too... I would go back just to try the pizza which, at first glance, looked inviting at the table next to me.

I'm giving it one star because it's impossible not to. This place is highly recommended. The chef is Neapolitan, but he's forgotten how to eat in the South. The dishes we ate were truly inedible. The chili pepper was added regardless, without checking with anyone who didn't like chili peppers, and the tagliata was overcooked, and the portion was very small—it definitely wasn't even 200g of meat.

A place like this might as well close. Arriving for lunch at 1:30 PM, I asked if I could eat... and one waitress already said no, the other yes. Squalid place, terrazzo tiles with holes in some places. Dirty bathroom with cobwebs on the tiles (Addams Family style). I order from the chalkboard menu. Turkey with tuna sauce. What's coming? Bagged turkey, cold, with a sauce on top. Unhappy and still hungry, I ask for another main course. They tell me it's late and they can only do breaded plaice. Result? Frozen breaded plaice, reheated in the microwave.
