One of the best resturant experiences I've had in awhile. We tried a lot of different things and everything was fantastic. We also got some of the warm sake and Moscato and everything was so fantastic and so much cheaper than you would imagine for the quality of food and experience you got. I'd give 10 stars if I could everythingwas freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!

This is my 3rd time here. And it’s wonderful. I have gotten something different every time and all of the food has been amazing. Beautiful restaurant, wonderful staff and perfect for an intimate date night or casual get together

Every time we come here we make sure that we're going to Dim sum time . It's just the best place for dim sum you can find in all of OKC. The service is always nice and treats you like family. This place will stay in my heart for a long time.

Grand House if our favorite Asian cuisine restaurant. No matter how busy they are ,they always treat everyone with the utmost attention and quality service. The food is ALWAYS delicious and the portions are so big and priced very well. Our favorite is the Sesame Chicken, Poke Salad, 3 cup chicken and pea tips. This is where we go Sunday for dim sum. It is an awesome experience for everyone.

Took my little family to have an early dinner late lunch here. Food was exceptional. Service was great. Our server accommodated us and was very attentive. If I was a boss, I would have my deal meetings here. Feels very upscale.

30 years;in both the actual and former location? The Grand House stil is the best place to enjoy a Sunday Lunch, Dim Sum style. If you have go to this place yet it is a food sacrilege! The many dishes dancing around your table make you wish for more room for so much flavor. It is an honor to keep seeing every sunday the owner still caring for the better service to so many generations of Oklahomans. Thank you for your service!

Oh my gosh dude, the food was sooo good. I got the lobster bomb sushi a couple days ago and it was perfect. It was sweet and tangy with a bit of spiciness, and I am an absolute fool for spicy food. It was also served on a neat little boat with the sushi very beautifully stacked on top of it. The presentation was almost as good as the food tasted. Fresh lobster, and a lot of the time when I eat seafood, I get stomach sick the next day, but not here! That tells me the food is served fresh all the time. The waiter was great, but he seemed kinda new because he had someone watching over us as he took our order. He still did way better than I did during my first days as a server. I didn't get his name or I would mention him in this review for being awesome. I came up to the city to go to Gorō and get some authentic ramen with some friends of mine, but Gorō ended up being PACKED, so we came here and we did NOT regret it. Also, it's worth mentioning that the place looked super fancy, but their prices are really affordable and the options all looked super delicious. Best egg drop soup I've had ever hands down.

Grand House is one of my favorite Asian food restaurants. Our group usually eat in South OKC or Moore, so it's a special trip when we go here and it's worth the trip! A great atmosphere and good staff always make this a good experience. I got the General Tso's Chicken and it's excellent here. I've been craving egg drop soup and theirs really hit the spot last night. The rest of the gang enjoyed their meals. All around good time here. Always a fun time with friends and great food!

I usually don’t go to Chinese restaurants so I was pleasantly surprised when I went here. The food was delicious and the staff was very nice. Also don’t worry if you are vegetarian, there are plenty of vegetarian items on the menu. To order you can either choose from the menu or wait for staff members to walk by with platters of food. The restaurant had a very inviting atmosphere and is friendly to large groups. When we went on a Tuesday at about 2:00, it became packed at around 2:30. Despite the amount of people the food did not have a longer wait. I strongly recommend this place, great experience.

I have been eating here for decades! The food is as delicious now as it was when I was a kid. My favorite main dishes include Pot Stickers Jalapeño wrapped shrimp Rice Soup My favorite desserts include Tapioca honeydew Flan The best time to go is 10 am on the weekends!

Most excellent in every way! The Peking duck is superb and sushi is outstanding and appetizers are scrumptous! Excellent and generous people run this place and very friendly knowledgeable staff! A rare gem of a restaurant and worth every penny! We will be back 😁

We really love the Dim Sum from this restaurant! Always looking forward to coming back here for authentic Cantonese and Chinese food. This time, we enjoyed talking to the staff and choosing a slice of cake to celebrate my early birthday.

My wife and I visited here approximately a month or so ago. It has classic Asian cuisine; I had the sweet and sour shrimp, which was very flavorful and colorful. For dessert I enjoyed the scrumptious chocolate cake pictured, and my wife ordered the red velvet cheesecake. Unfortunately something was lost in translation and the server brought out a turtle cheesecake for her. I even stated "Red velvet" again after our server repeated back "cheesecake".

Food is great! They offered moderate pricing ($9,$11, up to $15) lunch specials for large portions and choices of Chinese cuisine 👏 👏 👏. Service was friendly but slow 🐌 😒 so allow plenty of time. The taste of the food is worth the wait ✋️ 😋!

Absolutely fantastic sweet and sour sauce. It's exactly what it should taste like. Lunch price for the amount of food you get is a great deal..

Their dimsum is awesome. We came here only Saturday or Sunday to eat dimsum. The price is okay and make sense.

We had not been here in years. They have done a major refresh and it looks great! The food and service were wonderful!

This restaurant didn't have General Tao's tofu on the menu, but when I asked if it was available, they cooked it anyway. I've traveled all over the United States and this was the best version I've ever eaten. Anywhere. Even now, I'm craving their food. I was told that on Thursday nights, they also have live music, but we were tired and busy, so we couldn't stay. Even so, I love this restaurant and plan to return. Clean, classy, and not expensive. Portions are large. They did everything right. Love it!

Honestly a huge fan of this place. Me and my husband always get the sesame chicken if we come here and it is like no other restaurant makes it! The sauce is just the right flavor and never softens the crunch of the breading. Comes with crispy rice noodles under the chicken and it really makes the crunch factor in this meal. Definitely will and have recommended this meal to others.

Great place. Splendid feng shui or atmosphere. Simple menu, very affordable prices. Beware if it's a party of 8 and up there's a service charge added to your bill. It was a surprise and I was unaware, otherwise, great place for lunch or dinner. Ample parking. The food was delicious as well.

Went to dinner with a friend. I got cucumber sushi, vegetable spring rolls and the fantasy house salad. It was really good. Did not get full. Service was great. They sat us close to a banquet room that had a stage but no entertainment tonight. Will go back again to take the kid. I'm fasting meat for lent or I would have gone hog wild over the rice noodle dishes.

Update Dec 2021: Second visit was not as charming as the last. Jasmin tea was replaced with weak tea bags. It took an hour to receive our meal...and most everything was cold. Guests, with more than our 4 man group, were seated after us. Received ther food and were packing leftovers before our meal vfx was brought out. Had to track down host to get our food. Not as nice experience, food not as good, won't go back. It was a charming Asian restuarant.

The dim sum was good by Oklahoma standards. I noticed that the waiters simply carry plates of dim sum instead of rolling carts like in the past.

C
Commander Crunch

Clean and cozy, staff is friendly especially our very attentive waitress. The menu was quite diverse and also included vegetarian choices. Live music was casual and uplifting and made our meal quite relaxing. The food came out with great timing, the dishes were presented well and the meal tastes great. I'm definitely returning to explore the rest of the menu. I choice the rate Grand House Asian Bistro four stars as this was my first experience here and I plan to come back an experience dining here on different days and under many circumstances. So we shall see if 5 stars will be earned in the future, but I do believe they will.

Food was great. We had a fairly large group for a business lunch. The service we got was good, but the entire time we were there no one ever cleared finished plates or old dishes from the table. Dim Sum comes out constantly. We ran out of room for new dishes to be dropped. All in all, it was a good experience and I plan on giving it another try.

This restaurant was just okay. I had the curry chicken and the lo mein with beef. It tasted good. There wasn’t a lot of people, but the place felt chaotic. I guess I’ve never been to a restaurant that offered the dim sum service, where they offered different foods on a big platter, coming by a several intervals. A weekend type of thing for this store…. The plates and silverware were clean, but the menu and advertising pop-ups on the table were dirty with food and pen smears…. It’s really important to have a clean environment. The staff did not seem highly knowledgeable, but at least they were friendly. I would go here if you liked different authentic Chinese foods. The dim sum thing is cool, but needs perfection.

S
Shanee

So, they carry out trays of food to have you pick and choose what you would like. They weren’t real busy when we came in but they didn’t have many options for us to pick from. If all you have ever had was Oklahoma dim sum, then it is “good”. But if you have had good dim sum elsewhere, you wouldn’t be satisfied. Our bill was over $300 for 8 adults and 4 kids, but we left very unsatisfied.

T
Toolee M

After hearing about it from so many people, I had high expectation of this place. Unfortunately, it was not as good as I anticipated. The food was not as flavorful, and there was not much food per plate. Staffs members will come by your table with a platter of food, and you have the ability to select which on the platter you would like. Different staff members will have different food on their platter, and they will be rotating around different tables. After making the selection, they will stamp your ticket, so you can be charge for your item at the cashier. It was easy to rack the bill up, because the plate was small. We made the mistake of not getting a menu beforehand, so we did not see how much we were racking up. By the end, the two of us spent about $53 for the entire meal, not including the tips. Overall, it was an interesting experience, and I am glad I tried it. However, I would be hesitant to come back in the future, since it was pretty expensive.

Food was very bland. We ordered off the main menu and did not do the weekend dimsum. I had egg Foo Yung and my son had pork fried rice. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food. Looks very appetizing but taste is mediocre.

Average and Disappointing Tried this for the first time on Saturday. It was yet again a cold & rainy Oklahoma day and who doesn't want a nice bit of Chinese to warm you up? The buildings & decor I have to say were pretty, I quite enjoyed the Chandelier and the look of the tables but that my friends is where the “Grand House” of this restaurant’s namesake stops because the food was not “Grand” in any stretch of the imagination. The service was quick and very friendly. No complaints but we should have known from the 3 cars in the parking lot on a Saturday that we were not in for a great meal. We ordered Seafood Dim Sum, Sesame Chicken, & Lemon Chicken. Both entrees came with mediocre at best Fried Rice. Honestly, I could have made better-seasoned rice, and I can barely work my rice cooker. The Dim Sum was fine, not terrible but nothing special. I wasn’t a fan of the sticky outside and the filling inside was fine. The Sesame Chicken was again just fine. If you received it at Panda you would probably be happy with it. However we were not at a franchise, we were in the Asian District and my standards were as such. The Lemon Chicken can barely even be called such a name. It was a chicken cutlet unseasoned, cut and placed onto a plate with two whole slices of lemon with a bowl of duck sauce on the side. Continuing with the theme of night’s dinner it was mediocre at best. $40 of nothing special, do with this review what you will, but the best things about this restaurant were the funny signs in the parking lot and the chandelier. Also, their fish did look like it was enjoying a nice spa day before it became someone’s dinner. Recommended Dishes: Nothing, go to Tai Pai in Warr Acres or China Garden in Guthrie Service: 4 out of 5 Food: 2 Decor: 3.5 Humor: Fish Spa & Humorous sign .. priceless

Food was ok, they bring trays around as well as a menu. We Got appetizers off the tray.We both ordered from the menu. Mine was good and hot, the wife said hers must have came off one of the trays. It wasn't fresh or hot.

The atmosphere is a whole vibe in itself. We came in to a live band. The faults came when we were there for 20 minutes without a drink order… the bartender noticed and rushed over to help us. She also ended up taking our food order. Because we were just left to sit at a table and be ignored. The next fault is not being checked on once through out the entire meal, but the regulars were constantly chatting it up with the server crew and the band. I understand being tight knit , but we were paying customers as well. The waitress/bartender who finally noticed us is the reason for 3 stars. She herself deserves 5 stars

This may have been a one-off experience, I didn't know. First time visiting. Reservations for 7:30, seated us at 8:45. Didn't take it drink order until 9:10. They finally brought out food at 10:00. They kept saying their kitchen told the waitress not to put in any more orders. One would think waitress would have extra time to fill drinks - but that was not to be. After repeated requests that were ignored, I got up and served out table water refills.

L
Lisa

Our experience was not that great. We were seated by a very drafty window, and our server was super slow. We sat and got our drinks, then 10 minutes later, she asked if we wanted appetizers, which we ordered, then she never came back after another good 15 minutes. we had to flag her down to place our order. Had the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Which fried rice is usually, let's say, fried this was barely warmed up from a steam rice. We also ordered chicken Lo Mein, which tasted like a wood flavor. The Pepsi was good. You could tell it tasted like they cleaned the machine often.

I came from 90 miles away on a Sunday as I heard the dim sum was great. We got there about 2 pm and maybe that was the problem (as there were very few people at tables) and the kitchen was providing what was left over from the rush. The several plates we tried (and there weren’t many choices offered) were not fresh or were overcooked (pot stickers). The only dish that was great was a fried egg roll which the waiter had the kitchen cook right then. If a restaurant is going to serve any food to tables, it shouldn’t have the taste and texture of buffet food! And BTW, none of our servers were Chinese, the closest being someone from India! I had wanted to practice speaking Mandarin but had no chance!

A
Alfreda Doonkeen

The service was terrible! We had to ask three different waiters for the menu, we did not receive any table plates or forks or spoons or chopsticks or water for 30 minutes upon getting in and being seated!

T
Trey Hunsucker

We visited on the weekend after our normal restaurant was closed. I had eaten at this location close to 10 years ago. There was no indication this place is now a "buffet" style restaurant where they bring by trays of food and ask if you want some. We were just sat at a table with no menus and servers began stopping at the table with food. We decided to go with the flow and see how it goes. The issue is that servers basically mumbled about the food options, as there multiple options on each tray. We sometimes asked 3-4 times for them to repeat or to clarify but again, more mumbling, not understandable. The food we did try was good but not great. Lots and lots of varieties of shrimp cooked different ways. The next issue is that no server stopped by to refill our drinks until we were ready to leave. We put 6 items on our table and ate maybe half of it. I was shocked that our bill was just short of $60, wow. I was not impressed and have no plans to visit again.

S
Saurav Shrestha

We did not have a good experience. The place seemed slow and we were not attended nicely. Our Grand House Fried Rice contained pieces of raw egg shells. I told the waiter about it but they did not offer any exchange or nothing. Instead he just took that shell and went inside. The roasted duck with steam rice was good. But overall the experience was bad. I dont think I will go back to this place again.

Kind, friendly host & server … but worst Chinese food ever. Hot & sour soup tasted like canned aluminum. Lo mein seemed to have a quart of oil on it, and barely any veggies (I ordered veggie lo mein). Just some cabbage sprinkles. Awful, tasteless food. Noodles seems to be spaghetti too… disappointing & will never return. No flavor. My hunt for good quality Chinese food in OKC continues.

R
Rachel Tennyson

Honestly, so disappointed. I wanted to give this place another try, as it’s one of the original in OKC. I ordered Veg Chow Mein and a fried tofu app. Because I’m vegetarian. I got home to a bland, wet, fried tofu app. No flavor, no effort. I ordered chow mein, which I will willingly admit I’m not sure whether or not it SHOULD be served w glass noodles because some Chinese restaurants do, and some don’t, but… ngl I’m white. So, I ordered chow mein and asked whether or not it would come w noodles when I arrived. It didn’t. So, I asked for more crispy noodles. Not only did I not get more crispy noodles, but when I got home, my chow mein had chicken in it. My vegetable chow mein had chicken in it. There’s a reason your dining room is empty. The fried rice had no vegetables, was dry, and flavorless. The chow mein had meat when I requested vegetable. The tofu was flavorless and, if anything, tasted like fried water.

There was a black hair in the beef and broccoli, which was found after I had already started eating. Lost my appetite, boxed up what wasn't touching the hair. Flavor of the food was more plain than expected. Asked for steamed rice and they brought fried rice. Portions were good. Service was ok but they added 18% gratuity to the bill and then asked for a tip on top of that. I won't go back.

TLDR; Underwhelming Dim Sum, Better Options Nearby, Save Your Money I came here based on all the positive reviews, but unfortunately, the dim sum didn’t live up to the hype. If you’re looking for authentic and flavorful dim sum in OKC, I’d recommend going across the street to Golden Phoenix instead. Here’s what we ordered and experienced: •Spare Ribs: Tasted like plain boiled ribs with a heavy dose of MSG. Lacked flavor and depth. •Chicken Feet: Overpowered by five spice and MSG. Not well-balanced. •Veggie: The stems were oversized and tough, making them hard to chew. (Had inedible fibers still attached on the outside) •Har Gow (Shrimp Dumpling): The first batch had a strong, off-putting smell and taste — possibly expired shrimp. It was replaced with a freshly steamed order, which tasted slightly better but still not right. • Shu Mai: Very pork-forward with no distinctive flavor. Just tasted flat. • Gyoza: Arrived cold and overly chewy. The texture was off and hard to tell if it had been steamed or fried. • Jiu Cai Jiao (Chive Dumpling): Extremely chewy — so much that it was difficult to bite through comfortably. • Soup Dumpling: Had no soup in it and the meat inside just tasted like overcooked meat Overall, the flavors and textures were lacking across the board. For better dim sum in the area, I suggest giving Golden Phoenix a try instead.

I feel like the photo speaks for itself - a black burnt roast duck. Called back to let them know and see what they say, was told to bring the BURNT DUCK back tomorrow and they will give us a new one. That's gotta be against some FDA law or something. Either way, sad to see the quality of this renowned restaurant decline quite rapidly.

K

I ordered from Grand House for the first time with their online ordering, ordered a order of spring rolls and a Philly roll. It said it would be ready in 20 min and I showed up probably in 10 minutes it was ready so I thought great! Wrong.... my sushi roll was probably room temp but close to luke warm and my spring rolls had yellowish with some green shredded lettuce, the wraps were so sticky that when I pulled one out they were all stuck together and it ripped apart, I took a bite the lettuce tasted like dirt or like it hadn't been washed the rice noodles tasted very mushy and they were so sticky they were sticking to my fingers and just falling apart. I've ordered spring rolls from all kinds of restaurants and these were not good at all and I've never had any pull apart like this. I wouldn't waste my money and will not go back.

Service was great our waiter was very kind but found wood inside the food as I was eating which we told the waiter who was apologetic but restaurant owners did nothing about it or even apologized for it. disappointing given how good the service otherwise was.

A

The staff was nice but barely knew what they where talking about with the food, the food was good but then the price came out to 200 I normally go to the golden Phoenix and when i’m there they know what they are taking about and when I ask for the price they will tell me and know the food they have and the prices are much better.

My wife and I had trouble with a blonde-haired white woman who is the receptionist during the week. She works at the front desk and handles customer payments. She is very rude and disgusting. She, for whatever reason, does not like me or my wife. This happened a couple of months ago. I have been busy, but I am finally giving my bad review of her. She was witnessed by a few people, including my wife and me, giving us the finger when my wife told her that we knew she did not like us, and that is why she did not want to collect the payment from us. She walked away from the register and made faces at us. She has been rude two other times, but this time, we had had enough of her. We have been going there for years, without any problems on weekends, and sometimes during the week. My point is, you do not argue with the customer; you just do not treat the customer like that. We have never experienced anything like this before. We did not expect this to happen in this place. The owner and his wife know us; we were regular clients for years. When my wife spoke to the owner's wife about the incident before we left, she did not apologize. She was just stone-faced and only said that she would talk to the receptionist. We were in shock; we were not expecting that. Later in the evening, I called the husband and explained this whole situation to the manager, and told him that having an employee like that, giving someone the finger, deserves a firing. He barely said sorry, and that he would talk to her, and that was it. He was dry on the phone, kind of short. Again, we were not only in shock by the way the owners reacted, but also disappointed that they did not do anything or say anything to make us come back. This couple, the owners, is fake, and they are not what you see when they approach the customers. All they care about is how much money you are going to spend and the money that comes in. We found out a month later, by an employee there, that what the customers see out in the dining area, as far as the owner's attitude, is completely different from what they really are in the kitchen. They yell at and mistreat their employees in the background. Make them work like animals, and pay them very little money per hour. Also, the tips are not distributed well, and there is favoritism. Asians get a bigger share of the tips that are collected by the owner and shared among the employees. Terrible place! We never went back and never will. Finally, their food is very expensive, portions and quality have declined. This place is not worth going to anymore. I hope that all of you reading this review take this information seriously. Thanks

I called to ask about prices on dim sum. Hostess Jenessa hung up on me 3 times and was just straight up rude just for asking about prices? So I went acrossed the street to Golden Pheonix, and they were super friendly, which is what I look for. And was not disappointed. Everyone has bad days; I understand. But it doesn't give you an excuse to be mean to people, especially when you are representing a business. Would never bring my family or kids here. So go to Golden Pheonix! They have a more family friendly environment and better food.
