Fireside Pizza: A Tahoe Favorite! We're repeat visitors to Fireside Pizza in the Olympic Village, Palisades Lake Tahoe, and we're thrilled to report that it still delivers! We celebrated our daughter's birthday here two years ago, and this time we brought two more families along. The vibe is still lively and inviting, with cozy indoor seating and gorgeous outdoor options (weather permitting). The service was top-notch, with friendly and efficient staff handling our party of eight with ease. We waited just 10 minutes for a table, and the wait was worth it! Appetizers: - Pear and Walnut Salad: AMAZING, with candied walnuts, goat cheese, and a perfect balance of flavors - Lodge Chicken Wings: BAKED TO PERFECTION, with a delicious buffalo sauce Main Course: - Large Pizza (half-and-half): MEDiterranean and Thai Curry pizzas, both were OUT OF THIS WORLD, with incredible flavors and a perfect crust - Personal Cheese Pizza (kids' choice): DELICIOUS and cooked to perfection - Italian Herb Shrimp Penne: CREAMY, flavorful, and loaded with fresh herbs and parmesan cheese Drinks: - West Coast Haze IPA (50/50): CRISP, COLD, and PERFECTLY PAIRED with the meal Desserts: - Oven-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookie: DIVINE, with warm cookie and cold vanilla ice cream - Brownie: RICH, fudgey, and paired perfectly with vanilla ice cream Tips: - Must-try: The pizzas, especially the Mediterranean and Thai Curry combo! - Great spot for families and groups Fireside Pizza is a Tahoe gem, and we'll be back for more!
This is one of the best places to eat on the resort. Good mix of items for everyone. We enjoyed pizza, wings, Cesar salad and water. Would come back but this time I cooked and brought my own food since two weekend in a row or eating out isn’t for my family. Yea it is pricey but it made everyone happy.
Best pizza I’ve ever had! Be sure to get the garlic chips and the meat pizza—I promise you won’t be disappointed. There are lots of big tables, making it great for large parties. Definitely recommend!
1000/10 hands down THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER TRIED, we got the classic margarita and a blanco pizza and it was not dry, full of flavor, and a bunch of toppings, me and my husband are on our honeymoon and we loved it, service is amazing.Atmosphere is cozy and warm,💯👍👍👍👍
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in a comfortable setting. The gourmet pizzas and salads were delicious especially the pear and walnut! Food came out fast and hot! A must try, you won't be disappointed! We will definitely return.
This is our favorite place to eat at Palisades. The pizza is amazing, fairly quick depending on how busy they are, and fast dependable service. The salad with the pear is amazing and the bolognese was so good too. We got the chicken wings and those were devoured within minutes. We ate here everyday when we visited Palisades! I would highly recommend ordering a large size and getting two different types of pizzas. So goood I am craving it right now!

The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, with soft lighting and a cozy, inviting ambiance that immediately made me feel at home. The staff was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, making great recommendations and ensuring every detail was perfect throughout the meal. Brandon was our wonderful server. The food? Absolutely delicious. Each dish was expertly prepared, bursting with flavor, and presented beautifully. It was an all-around fantastic experience, and I can't wait to return!
Stunningly good pizza! The Pear Gorgonzola was so unique, and so tasty. The place is pricey, but worth the money for a solid slice after skiing. Service was fantastic. This is especially a great place to go if you are looking for some gluten free options! Some of the best GF crust we’ve ever had!
They spoiled us with some great plant based options with a nice hummus appetizer, delicious Greek salad, and a loaded veggie pizza. Really appreciated the fact that they added more veggies on the pizza and beans on the salad to compensate for no cheese. Usually, at other restaurants, we wind up getting shorted. One of the best pizzas I've ever had!!! Super delicious!! I ordered a build your own and asked for pesto and white sauce combined for the base. Then I added chicken, mushrooms, and bell pepper. It was amazing! We also ordered a Caesar salad and pasta bolognese. Our server was a young guy and he was very nice and attentive.
All around nice place. The only "issue" was the cold breeze coming off the window. But it was a very chilly evening. Our waiter Alex was kind and informative. He took good care of us. We had the Caesar salad and a medium Mediterranean pizza which was plenty for two adults. Everything was fresh and crisp. Tab was just shy of $50.
Been coming here for 15 years, both dine-in and take out. Great atmosphere, great pizza, good beer list. My only gripe is the mandatory 15% take out "service fee." Tipping should be optional for putting a pizza in a box; this seems like money grab and is out of line with how most restaurants work in a post Covid world.
We listened to the great reviews and are so glad we chose this location! The pear and arugula pizza was one of our favorites that was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and we chose to sit outside where we enjoyed a free live band that made the afternoon even better.
I have dined here multiples times for over a decade, the service has always consistently been friendly and of quality. There is sometimes a short wait for a table but this time there was no wait. The server, kind, made sure our glasses were consistently filled with water and was attentive. I ordered the Blanco Pizza and Spaghetti Bolognese, both hit the spot after a long day on the mountain. The spaghetti was buttery and the sauce was delicious, although the portions were on the smaller side for over $20. The pizza was good but was quite expensive as well at over $30 dollars. Nevertheless the atmosphere is warming and cozy and the service is welcoming.
Great atmosphere and friendly + fast service. The pizza is not the best Ive had and the dough is not the best either but we had such a busy day skiing that we were so hungry and these pizzas were great for that! We had a large chicken bbq and fireside pizza as half/half in a large pizza. The chicken one was nice, it just had a lot of sauces and just throw a bunch of ingredients on the pizzas which felt a bit cheap. I would definitely come back if I ski in this area and have a bite here. Nice and cozy and it’s a family restaurant with many many options and a large menu. Don’t expect authentic Italian pizza or cheeze. We enjoyed our evening.
Although there was a problem with our reservation, the table we booked, and confirmed was given away to another party, apparently, the manager on duty made it right, and gave us another table - although we had to wait 90 minutes. The food was delicious, the service good, and the price moderate for a pizza restaurant. The food quality, specifically the pizza was the driving factor for this good review. Also, they have good quality wooden children's toys, which are NOT gross, or dirty. $$$ out of $$$$$ . I would recommend Fireside Pizza Company, in the heart of the Squaw Valley Ski Resort Village, and requires no parking if coming right from the slope.
Great pizzas, but infuriating and disrespectful practice to slap on a 15% service charge for online orders on the last step of the ordering flow. If you need to increase prices at least be transparent and adjust the prices on the menu for crying out loud.
We ordered two large pizzas and a salad for the 4 of us. Way too much food. But the pizzas and salad were tasty. One was the fireside and the other a pepperoni. Service was very lacklustre especially as there wasn’t many other tables.
Outdoor seating was good with great view. We ordered parmesan garlic fries, house bloody mary drink and fire roasted medley pizza. Fries tasted so good and it was freshly baked. I did not like the pizza but my husband did. I have had better pizza. Service was delayed.
I have no idea how this place has a 4.6 rating, it is utterly misleading. The pizza dough was either frozen or par-baked; it had that flat, basic, mass-produced taste you'd find in a grocery store, not a gourmet kitchen. The tomato soup was equally uninspired and lacked depth, and the Caesar salad was completely drowned in far too much dressing. The service was okay, which is the only reason this isn't a one-star review. It feels like a total resort trap where they rely on convenience rather than quality. With so few options in the immediate area, it’s a shame the standard is this low. Save your money and go elsewhere - I won’t be back.
I came here the other day to grab a drink and an appetizer while the rest of my group finished up skiing. I was alone and asked to sit outside, the lady who sat me was very welcoming but I soon felt like they forgot about me. I had to ask for a water from someone else’s waiter and the people who got sat after me had their drinks and appetizers before anyone came up to me. I almost left until I got another waiter’s attention and mentioned I had not gotten my drink order yet. They said they were sorry and it seemed like a mix up but it honestly put me in a bad mood and I asked for the check and left. Not the best experience.
A step below little Caesar’s (and DiGiorno) for $37 per pizza (note: this was a pick up order). Wish I could give zero stars.
If you want to deal with rude waiters, managers and hosts and have fast food level pizza you should come here. Vodka flavored wine cocktails really?? Food looks like its from the school cafeteria line. Other option, pick any other place in the village and have better food, drinks, and service.
