First time trying this restaurant and I am very impressed with the quality of the food and service. I will definitely be bringing my family here for dinner soon. I ordered the calzone with pepperoni and Italian sausage. Definitely will have this again. If you’re looking for authentic Italian food, then you have to eat here.
This local restaurant has food that is absolutely delicious. I’m usually scared of Alfredo sauce and gnocchi for being too heavy, but this pasta was one of the best!! The gnocchi was soft and light and went so well with the Alfredo sauce which was smooth and flavorful without being sharp. The salad with fig marmalade and the pizza was delicious too! What amazing flavor to the classics with all three of these plates! The gnocchi is a MUST TRY!
Fantastic experience. Spoke with the owner who was working their butt off like the rest of the staff. Food is on par with all the other reviews- fabulous. All the sauces are home-made and the soups and salads are delicious. Highly recommend and will definitely return next time I’m in Orlando.
Family owned restaurant. The owner and head chef was very pleasant and accommodating. The dishes that my family and friends order were very delicious!! The fresh hot home made toasted bread with olive oil and Balsamic was a great start to open up out appetite My wife and I had a minestrone soup that was so flavorful. We also had a Caprese Salad and a Cappachio that was out of this world. Portion sizes were more than enough and our table had to take to go boxes. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as a must go
This is a great place for home made food. Pizza is great too. Visited again and food and services were great. Everything is made from scratch and is perfect. Meg is great and also puts a smile on my face. Great food and great service too. This was very delicious soup and main course. Wow. Very authentic. You need to go and try this place.
We are in Florida for Universal but wanted a solid restaurant off property and we found it. I read through several reviews and homemade was used in many of them and that's what we were looking for. :) It's a relatively small and quaint restaurant with friendly and caring staff and amazing hot and fresh food. Our kiddo said she wasn't hungry so we ordered chicken parmigiana and a small cheese pizza to split. The bread and oil to begin with was awesome! A heavy and flavorful bread that we all loved and our "not hungry child" had at least three pieces. The chicken oarm was as good as it looks, flavorful m, so flavorful with all the right Italian sauces.. we all LOVED it!! Our child ate about 1/3 of that as well :) I preferred the chicken parm over the pizza but he and the kid preferred the pizza but both were a close call as we loved everything we ate there. Husband had a happy hour glass of Italian wine and loved it... the waiter Quinn was friendly, helpful with ordering and just always there when we needed.. awesome service, thank you! The owner (i believe) came out and chatted and I love that personal touch. He is excited about his food and you just know it's going to be good. We had our favorite dining experience in Florida at this restaurant regarding flavor! And quality.... we will be back!
Great food and service. We had the caneloni with 4 cheese sauce and the spaghetti with Napoli sauce. Will come back next time in town. Update: came back after about a year, still amazing food, service, environment, and very reasonable prices. Tried the Pollo Alla Marsalla and strongly reccomend it, same as Spaghetti ai Napoli with meatballs.
We are so glad that we stumbled upon this gem. The restaurant accommodated my party of 11 seamlessly and the owner and his staff were extremely kind and welcoming. The owner came out to describe the daily specials and they were amazing! The place was clean, the staff attentive, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. If I could give Danino’s more than 5 stars I would. We’re definitely going to stop by every time we visit Orlando!
Well what a great meal and amazing stories. We are in town for a gymnastics competition and my daughter requested Italian. It's valentines evening they were able to squeeze us in and wow we are so happy. The food was great plenty of it and it was family style good. We enjoyed a great bottle of red wine. The owner talked about where he came from and the thoughts for how he built the menu. If and when we are in the area we will Be back again. empty plates from all of us
Small family owned and operated restaurant serving fresh authentic Italian cuisine in a casual environment! I am so happy to have found this restaurant! First one I find serving real Italian food. The owner and the waitress are super friendly. Food is delicious and there are plenty of free parking. The restaurant is easy to miss if you are driving by because it is not visible from the road. We ordered a beef carpaccio, A risotto funghi, Lasagna Di Melanzane, and a calzone. Everything was delicious but our favorite was the carpaccio! For dessert we ordered the Chocolate Amaretto Cake, baked by the owner's wife, which was delicious! A great option for a Saturday lunch with the whole family. We are coming back! Super recommended!
This restaurant is truly delicious, I loved everything—the flavor, the texture of the pasta, it wasn’t mushy, it wasn’t undercooked, it was cooked to perfection. The taste was wonderful, and the staff were friendly, kind, and polite. A fun, wonderful, cozy, and family-friendly place. I highly recommend it and would definitely come back. I found it much better than the famous restaurants and franchises in Orlando. I’ve been to many places in Orlando and Florida, and this one is definitely approved. ✅
Eggplant lasagna melts in your mouth and the tricolor lasagna sauce flavors are excellent. Large portions, so we will have another meal. Flavor and value. Appreciated Ima taking good care of us. Finally the tiramisu was the best I have ever had.
This restaurant has great reviews, and I have now experienced why. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed: - Welcoming and friendly service. - High quality, fresh ingredients that made the dishes so authentic - Generous portions. - Great value. I must highlight that their cappuccino was one of the best I've ever had. 100% recommended.
Update December 22 2025 We were excited to be back in the area and held out for lunch to return. As the food and service were wonderful the first visit! Sadly, we were very much so let down. The food was mediocre at best. The bottom of my chicken was a bit dark and over cooked. There wasn't much sauce. The meatballs were on the small side for the price. Most places we have been to have large meatballs. Especially when served as an appetizer. The service was lacking. We had to flag the waiter down for everything we needed. But the most disappointing was the kids menu. They do not have one. The waiter explained there is a choice of pasta dish half portion or pizza for 10 bucks. Awesome, so we ordered the chicken Alfredo. But we were not informed of the 6 dollar up charge to add the chicken. Had we been able to make that choice we would have either had the pizza or ordered an adult entrée and just paid full price for more food to take home. Sadly, I can not say we will be back when in the area again. We will probably try a new place. Hopefully this was on off day for them. However, what we thought would be a treat was just the opposite. November 2025 -were in town visiting and love to find unique places to eat rather than chain restaurants. And the whole family would recommend this one. It is a small quiet place. Everything we had to eat was great. The sweet tea was really good. The server was friendly. The food arrived timely and fresh. The servings are not huge, just the perfect size for you to have plenty to eat but not leave a bit behind. And you won't want to. We would be very torn to go here again or try something new as we dont frequent this area.
The food here was exceptional. Real Italian flavor 😋. I was here 1 year ago but couldn't remember name or address. My niece found it on her phone. Will be going very soon.
Hard to find this quality Italian food outside of Italy. The owner and his wife are from Italy, and they do an incredible job. As an example, I don't like arugula. I almost never eat it, but my wife and my daughter who we dined with tonight love it. So we got their special salad with arugula, grilled pear, Gorgonzola, and a very light lemon vinaigrette. It was absolutely delicious! And everything else was just as good. You've got to try this place, it's great! And by the way, let the owner pick out the wine for you, you won't go wrong.
Danino’s Trattoria is hands-down one of our favorite places in all of Florida. Every time we travel down from New England, this is always one of our first stops—and usually our dinner spot almost every night. The food is absolutely incredible every single time. Fresh, authentic, and full of flavor—true Italian comfort done right. The staff here deserves just as much praise. They’re respectful, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. It feels like they care about every guest who walks through the door. You can tell they take real pride in what they do. Everything about this place keeps us coming back: the atmosphere, the service, and especially the food. If you’re in the Orlando area, this is a must-visit. We can’t recommend it enough!
We found this on a whim….. glad we did. While the decor needs some work, the food and service were excellent!!! Everything was fresh! The bread, sauces, pasta, everything was made fresh and delicious. The tricolore lasagna was excellent and the chicken parm was also very delicious. The owner came over to check on us and explained how they made the dinner. Highly recommended if you want great food, just don’t expect a fancy spot.
I looked for an Italian restaurant and Danino’s had a lot of good reviews. It did take a bit of time for service, but that’s because there were 2 servers for the entire restaurant and all the tables were seated at similar times. We also had a reservation for 7:00 pm but showed up 45 minutes early due to being hungry. They accommodated us and didn’t make us wait. It was well worth the wait as all five of us ordered different meals and we were all pleasantly surprised by the taste. All the food was the perfect temperature, seasoned well, and overall a great pick! 10/10 would recommend.
This is one of the best authentic restaurants we have ever been too. It seemed like a hole in the wall place. Great food, amazing service and just overall great atmosphere. We had the Daninos pizza, lasagna, pasta with 4 cheese, pasta with Alfredo sauce. The breadsticks were amazing! Freshly made bread and completely warm with virgin olive oil on the side 👌🏽 amazing!!! Totally recommend this restaurant!!!! 10/10 for overall experience!
We read the positive reviews and went while we were in Orlando a week ago. It was even better than we expected. Great food and friendly service too. We had a pizza and pasta dish. The desert, Tirsmisu, was off the charts good. Like you would get in Italy. We will definetly go back again when in Orlando for work. Great find and food.
Wow! All I need to say is Buenísimo. My family and I came to visit Seaworld and after we wanted to have a nice authentic Italian meal and what a surprise from the Zuppa to the pizzas, calzone and the build your own pasta ❤️we will definitely be coming back when we visit the Orlando area. You will not be disappointed ❤️
What a wonderful family run restaurant in the heart of Orlando. Prices were reasonable, portions were great, and the food was delicious. As an out of towner, it was nice to find a place that wasn't a chain. Make sure you get some of the fresh, hot, homemade bread. Chicken parm and steak were flavorful and our friend really enjoyed his pizza. We will certainly add this to our list of favorite places when we return to Orlando!
Food was delicious! We had the chicken parm panini, a personal cheese pizza, Alfredo pasta and the tiramisu! Everything was fantastic. Totally recommend going here. Also the owner is very nice!
The food was delicious, even my very picky toddler ate pasta. The atmosphere is quite intimate and it was busy for a Saturday night but they sat us down immediately. They had Andrea Bocelli videos on shuffle which was a nice touch.
This place is so AWESOME!!! The pizza was perfect, thin, crunchy, flavorful, hot. We decided to try the Daninos and the Cheese Pizza, both were delicious. The service is 5 start, the came to the table to say Hi. We’ll be back very soon.
Excellent, authentic Lasagna!!! Loved it. Great value. Attentive waiter (GIUSEPPE)!! Oh and they make their own Tiramisu!! Wonderful finish to a meal well done!
This is quality Italian cuisine 🍕 very quiet under the radar, wonderful space quality wines🍇 customer service was excellent 👌🏼 the food was great I'm glad I found it if you're looking for quality cuisine at affordable prices look no further.
This place serves freshly made Italian style food. It’s a family own, so the service will always feel personalized. During weekends, it gets packed and the seating sometimes gets very limited. I would call and reserve first or show up early. It’s in a plaza, so parking it’s not a problem. 5 stars because is really a bang for the buck. You really get more than what you pay for. I would def recommend it.
I see why the reviews are so high. The pasta is made from scratch with wheat flour from Italy. So all the people with gluten allergy this is a solution right here. It is the orginal wheat before the US started modifying it. The restaurant is smaller but a authentic Italian place. I spoke with the owner who is super friendly and heard his story. I was happy to have found this unique restaurant and will definitely recommend and come back again. Try it out you won't be disappointed.
Absolutely outstanding experience this evening at Daninos. We were in town on vacation and looking to avoid the touristy areas. We came in based on Google reviews and were NOT disappointed! This small, family run trattoria serves up delicious, authentic Italian. From the house made focaccia served with olive oil and balsamic through to dessert, we loved everything we tried. That included a delicious peach, gorgonzola and arugula salad, the house caprese salad, a shrimp and mushroom risotto, the amazing tri color lasagna and a caprese panini. My son had the canolli and dubbed it the best he has ever had. My husband's family is Italian and we live in a heavily Italian part of PA. We've also been to Italy several times. This place is the real deal, and is an outstanding value for the prices they are charging. We will be back on our next trip!
The food here is astounding and probably the best italian food I've ever had. Service was incredibly prompt and you can tell the food is homemade. Will absolutely be returning everytime I'm back in Orlando

First time here. Unassuming place, but the staff if very friendly. Has an authentic family feel with the way they treat you here. Food is amazing. We tried multiple dishes of varying categories and it was all very tasty. Definitely more of an authentic italian food spot than an italian american - which is what we were looking for. Will be back again for sure.
Fantastic authentic Italian. Very reasonably priced. We were visiting the area and tried it on a whim. So good we came back a couple of days later! The pasta dishes are delicious. The pizza is crave-worthy. But the best item on the menu was the affogato. Perfect balance of gelato and espresso. So good. We may come back again tomorrow :)
This is seriously some of the best food we have ever had. We were looking for somewhere to eat that would appease people with different diets. The fact that someone can choose their pasta and sauce made this an easy decision. Everyone got something different, and the foccacia appealed to us all. Everything looked and tasted delicious... we even tried to clean off our plates the sauces were divine. We would definitely eat here again, reccomend it to everyone, and keep singing it's praises. Thank you for being the best Italian we have had in a long time!
This Italian place is punching way above the dollar price. Everything was so fresh and flavorful right down to the bread served. I got the linguine Alfredo with chicken and it is one of the best Alfredo’s I have tasted. Everything here was a 10/10 absolutely will be returning.

Super friendly service but the food was just alright. The chicken parmigiana was very dry and hard around the edges. The pasta, the sauce and cheese were good though. My mom's Bolognese was alright but the meat was too finely prepared, I like Bolognese a bit meatier tasting with more bite to the meat. Overall a good place to go.
Daninos is a cute little family-owned restaurant with a charming interior design and cozy setting. I went with colleagues during lunch, and it can get quite busy, so I recommend going between 11:00 and 12:30 based on my experience. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and felt it could use a bit more flavor, but my colleague had the Alfredo pasta and it was absolutely delicious. They also served fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic—so tasty that I asked for seconds! Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely come back again.
Great food, great service, great experience. Best Olive Oil!!

When we first arrived we sat ourselves (no host or hostess). After about 5 mins. our server came over and brought menus and took our drink order. We were brought bread and had around a 20 min wait for our food. The food was delicious with large portions. It took a while to get my second tea refill. Our server disappeared and we didn't see him again. In the mean time the table next to us was a large family. There were 2 servers helping them and didn't pay us any attention. Finally my wife asked 1 if them for some carry out boxes. We were going to get dessert but after waiting for 20 min and still no carry out boxes, my wife got up and got them herself. We payed the bill and left not getting dessert. Food was great but service was terrible. I guess texting his girlfriend was more important than doing a good job.

My husband liked the calzone he got, but I think this place just wasn't for me. Soda was served in a wine glass so it was a smaller amount and needed to be refilled more often, but we only got 1 refill each. Soda flavor was weak like it needed more syrup. Prices were kind of high. I got the fettuccine Alfredo for $14. I wanted shrimp added, but that would have been $8 more so I didn't get them. They brought out spaghetti noodles instead and it looked OK, so I decided to ignore it, but the sauce was very salty and not very thick. The music playing was too loud for me and was like a Phil Collins CD which didn't seem to fit the atmosphere. Water stains on the ceiling were distracting and the atmosphere felt unfinished. There were a lot of customers and they all seemed to be having a good time. So I don't know. It was just ok. Between the two of us, the bill was $40 plus tip
Seriously overrated, unless the reviews are from a previous owner. Went here for lunch one day. The place was only 20% full and it took forever to get food. And when it came it was pretty average. Asked for parmesan and never got it. No refills on drinks. I appreciate the attention to detail on the dipping sauce, and server was nice, but overall the place seemed mismanaged from the manager chatting with someone who came in. Something was burnt at some point, perhaps why it took so long to get food. Lightning was a little dark imo for lunch; not ambient. This place is a far cry from similar places we frequent in NJ.
margarita pizza with very little cheese and was not very large. I have had over 100s of Italian pizza and this was ok but not worth $ 25.00. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I just came from Boston and Ny pizza heaven. way too expensive for the size. I was so disappointed I really wanted a great pizza
The gnocchi was okay, but we also ordered the Frutta de Mar and it cost 32 dollars for that much food. For the place and the price of the food that was really expensive. It was also my birthday but they charge me for a little piece of cake 8 dollars because it was “home made” it tasted like it was made in the microwave with a cup. I would never come back. Lastly they said they’ll bring bread, time passed by and they never brought us bread we had to ask. I love supporting small businesses and leaving 5 stars but this one completely disappointed me.
I couldnt get any service from my waitress. The busser was the only one helping. Didn't offer bread, wasn't asked how the food was. Caprese salad was no good. The entree was ok but not too impressive. Would not recommend it here when busy. This was the worst service I ever got/ didn't get ever. She only took our order and was never seen again and only tended to larger parties. The music was good but way too loud. I could hardly hear my wife. Horrible service with below average food. Im sure I could have made better food at home.
Arrived at the front door and was greeted by cigarette smoke being blown from the lips of one of the kitchen staff. (Strike 1). Once inside, told we could sit anywhere then where we chose only needed paper added to the table was asked to move elsewhere. (Strike 2). Lastly, watched cigarette smoking kitchen staff guy walk in from aforementioned cigarette break and go directly to the kitchen and started doing something with pizza dough. (Strike 3)… didn’t even think to wash his hands!! There was no way I was going to stay and test my fate with this place and definitely not their food. The reviews were misleading in comparison to my experience. Needless to say, we definitely won’t be back and do not recommend.
