Everglades Restaurant offers a themed dining experience with well-prepared steaks and seafood. The Filet Key Largo and Ribeye are popular choices. Service is generally attentive, with Emma and Kevin mentioned by name. Some find the location within the convention center confusing.
Tip: If attending a convention, this is a convenient and lovely way to treat yourself. Be aware that the restaurant is located inside the Rosen Centre hotel and can be tricky to find from the convention center.
What a wonderful experience getting to preview magical dining a day early at the Everglades Restaurant! The theming inside is amazing and so bright and colorful! I got to sample all the foods on the magical dining menu and my favorite was the sea bass which is one of my favorite fish, the steak and the alligator chowder which I didn’t think I would like but it was better than I thought it would be! The chocolate martini was my favorite dessert and it looks so cool! It was fun celebrating 20 years of magical dining and trying the different dishes! Also it’s nice that they have the parking garage of the Rosen hotel for self parking that’s complimentary and you just walk past the convention center and the restaurant is on the right!
From the moment we walked into The Everglades at Rosen Centre on I-Drive, we were immersed in a really cool tribute to Florida’s iconic wetlands as the name implies. Gators, frogs, panthers, birds, and a fish tank decorate the restaurant adding a very nice touch that adds to the ambiance of the dining experience. The Everglades was the next restaurant on our Magical Dining tour and were really impressed. For appetizers, we started out with the Everglades Garden Greens (our salad). For entrées, the Grilled Angus Filet stole the show (definitely the highlight of our dinner). The Char Grilled Halibut was exceptionally good and flavorful. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu Martini and the Tropical Cheesecake. I'm not big on cheesecake, but the Pineapple and Mango-Passionfruit flavors really surprised me. The staff was very attentive and frequently checked in on us, which is always nice.
The place is incredible, the food fabulous, and the service impeccable! Firstly, our waitress took our orders by memory (4 of us each having an appetizer, entrée, and desert - thats 16 items! And she got them all correct. Secondly, everyone's food was sensational in its appearance and taste. My filet was cooked exactly as I ordered and was so delicious, and the others in my party were each pleased with their food selections. I highly recommend this restaurant for many reasons and don't let the fact that it's inside a hotel scare you. We're definitely going back again!
Surprisingly good food and service for a convention hotel! Interesting Florida Everglades themed decor (think Rain Forest Café for adults). Tables, booths, and bar seating. Cozy and dark interior. Interesting menu with some unusual choices for visitors to Florida. Food and service were excellent. Only minus was it's on the pricey side, but that's to be expected. Recommended.
Search no more! Food so good you're at a loss for words! World class customer service. Atmosphere is peaceful. Not rushed so they can reset table. My favorite during my week long stay! Pric S are keeping well re expensive, but absolutely worth it. You receive what you pay for. Amazing!
Had dinner with a colleague there, place wasn’t that crowded, but it was relatively early mid week. Service was great, great atmosphere despite the fire alarm going off several times due to building wide computer issues. I had the Filet Key Largo and it was perfect. Next time I’m at the property I’ll be back for more. Highly recommend.
We sat at the bar and ate dinner. The steaks and drinks were wonderful. Our bar tender Kevin was fun and attentive but let us have our date time too.
A very nice getaway from the loud hotel lobby. The service was great, the waiter we had was super nice and friendly. The food was good although nothing that was insanely memorable but it didn't need to be. The animal statues in the restaurant were pretty great also

Wowww. The 8oz filet dinner was spectacular but even better was Emma my bartender! Loved the atmosphere, too.

We stayed on property for dinner at the Rosen Centre and chose the Everglades Restaurant, which was a solid choice. To start, they serve their version of a bread basket that consists of white bread slices, an extra-large sesame seed cracker, and a few rye pumpernickel pieces, accompanied by minced olives in olive oil. For our main courses, we ordered Alligator Bay Chowder, a few Caesar salads, two Black Angus filets, a Black Angus ribeye, Filet Key Largo, Chilean sea bass, and a char-grilled halibut- all prepared to perfection. Best believe we finished everything on our plates. The staff were all very pleasant. Our waitress was courteous, attentive, and friendly. We never had a dry glass. The atmosphere was unexpectedly interesting. The decor doesn't say "fine dining" as it does "Florida putt putt" but it made for a fun conversation topic throughout dinner. We all highly recommend.
If you have attended meetings all day, this is a lovely way to treat yourself. The starters are tasty with very attractive presentation. Try watermelon goat cheese starter. Filet cooked perfectly to order. Service was excellent quality and put me at ease as a solo diner. Atmosphere was attractive and clean but a bit cavernous- it does serve a hotel convention center so it’s to be expected. Great food and experience overall, friendly professional staff.

We had a fabulous dinner this evening. I had the Ribeye and my hubby had the pork chop. PERFECT! The service was on point! The team worked very well together. Will be back!!!
I'm reviewing the Everglades based on a private event I attended last night. We had the chance to taste every single item from a Magical Dining menu in just one night. The restaurant is located inside one of Orlando's most famous hotels, right on International Drive. Not only is it in a prime tourist spot connected to the Convention Center, but the décor itself is a constant reminder that you're in Florida, inspired by the swamps of the Everglades. I enjoyed all the dishes, but the highlights and a few lowlights were: * Alligator chowder: the alligator pieces were tiny, and the tomato flavor was so strong that it was hard to tell if we were eating alligator, chicken, or something else...? * Garden greens: a classic salad with feta and berries, but I loved that they added arugula instead of spinach or spring mix. The olive oil was delicious and flavorful. I wish I had asked for its brand. * Watermelon with pistachio-crusted goat cheese: pistachio and goat cheese in one bite? Yes, please. Absolutely delicious and it was my first time trying this combination. * Angus filet: tender and juicy. Cooked perfectly but underseasoned. The red wine sauce was tasty but a bit too thin for my liking. It could have been thicker and more concentrated. * Sea bass: my favorite of the night. This fish is already a piece of art on its own but the olive crust really took it up a notch with its salty punch. The béarnaise sauce was fine, but I would have preferred a good olive oil instead, as the rich, buttery béarnaise did not feel like the best match for the fish and olives. * Halibut: other Yelpies enjoyed it, but my piece was a little dry and lacking salt. When I paired it with the salmon roe on top, it was much better, as the roe added both saltiness and moisture. The black garlic sauce was barely noticeable. * Chocolate ganache cake: unfortunately, it tasted like a simple sponge cake with ganache one can find at a cruise ship buffet. A bit disappointing. * Tiramisu martini: great idea, but the execution fell short. The cream to ladyfinger to coffee ratio was too heavy on the cream. I did not taste the mascarpone I was expecting. I would have added a cinnamon or coffee latte flavor to bring more depth to cream and added less. * Tropical cheesecake: I am not usually a fan of tropical desserts or cheesecake, but this one won me over. Pineapple cheesecake, mango passionfruit sauce, toasted coconut cream, and a crispy pineapple chip -- yum! It was a fun and multidimensional dessert where each bite could be mixed differently. I wish I could have taken some home!
Nicely curated restaurant in the Rosen hotel. Fresh seafood and steaks cooked to order. Service is very good.
A good place for business meeting, family dinner or date night.
Nicely presented food and friendly service. The sea bass was very good except for the olive crust which overpowered the fish. The key lime pie was the worst I’ve ever had. It should have had a thick graham cracker crust and not cake. It was too thick and needed more lime juice.
Walking in through the convention center was the first issue. It was very hard to figure out how to get to a restaurant inside the hotel and park in the appropriate area to do so. Finally found our way in. It's a short walk through the convention center area. Restaurant is right across from the pool. Beautiful looking, I like the animal and nature themed decor. Very spacious place. Was sat and immediately connected with our server. The service was mostly fine dining. I say mostly only because after the bread course at the table, they did not remove the crumbs before serving the next course, although not a deal breaker or even a big deal just an observation. Our server was very attentive. We did the magical dining menu. The soup and salad was delicious. I like to try other things from the regular menu when I magical dine so I asked to try the lobster bisque. Was very much NOT a fan of the bisque. The soup on the magical dining menu was much better, they chose the right soup to offer ther. Thank God... The entrée choices were steak chicken or sea bass. I had the sea bass and my friend had the chicken. There was nothing special about the chicken it was roasted and then topped with some bbq sauce, the potatoes were terribly plain, the black eye peas had a good flavor and was probably the best part of that dish. My sea bass was good, the fish itself was delicious delicate and the sauce on top was a winner. The risotto underneath, well let's just say that it didn't measure up. The desserts were nice, key lime pie and chef special dessert shot which turned out nicely. I am hoping that they may have just been a little complacent with Magical dining menu and the abundance of it that they did not put any real love into it. I am on the fence about returning and trying something else.
Service was just ok for this price point. The lobster bisque was good. The ribeye was also good. But the cheese cake was cold and hard. It was also too sweet.
A delightfully hip restaurant, especially for being in a hotel. The service is phenomenal! I want to make special mention of Jose. He is an amazing mixologist and his professional demeanor is unsurpassed. If possible, visit during the evenings he works, you won't regret it!

Very beautiful restaurant with a lovely mural taking up one wall. There is a pretty, large aquarium next to the hostess stand but, weirdly, only a handful of fish in it. We went for Magical Dining and this was one of the $60 restaurants (most are $40) where you get appetizer, main course and dessert for a fixed price. It did not live up to expectations. Three of us had the Chilean Sea Bass. The fish was good but it was atop a bed of mushy, weird-tasting risotto. I did not eat the risotto. Sadly, it was not accompanied by any other vegetables. My companion had the steak, which she said was good and was accompanied by fingerling potatoes, a carrot and some green beans which she said she did not like. The desserts were so-so with the standout being the tropical cheesecake. The chocolate cake was no better than what you would get in the grocery store. In fact, I think I've had better from the grocery store. All in all, it was NOT worth the $60.00 price nor were the cocktails we ordered worth the exorbitant prices we paid for those. I would not recommend. We also had confusion with the parking. We were directed to a lot where the attendant at the kiosk told us we would need to pay $30!! In the end, the hostess at the restaurant told us we did not need to pay, so I don't understand what that was all about....?

So many other dining options in area. 350$ dinner and my daughter was served overcooked Kraft mac and cheese and bagged pretzel. My 50 dollar filet nor the 22 dollar old fashioned were not worth it either... Not one to give negative review but it was that disappointing. Svc was terrible as well. Place would be out of business if everyone had my experience.
Let me preface this by saying perhaps it was just an off night. We arrived at 5:30 for dinner and were promptly seated next to a very clean and colorful aquarium — though oddly, it only had seven fish in it. Our server, whose name we believe was Victor, was a man of very few words. He said almost nothing to our table during the entire service and didn’t seem to care or even notice that most of our meals went untouched, as no one in our party of four enjoyed the food. We were first presented with an unusual basket of assorted breads, two alligator-shaped pieces of butter, and a strange green dip that had an odd olive-like flavor — we jokingly called it the “mystery dip.” Appetizers were equally disappointing and went uneaten. The main courses were another letdown. Three filets, ordered identically, came out completely inconsistent — differences in cook, plating, and even garnishes. Desserts followed suit and also went uneaten. What stood out most was the lack of care or attentiveness from our server. At nearly $400 for a dinner for four, we expected much better. We read the reviews and were genuinely excited to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was a major disappointment.
