Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

The food and service were great. Enough time was taken to explain the menu and the whole experience was great fun. The only issue I had was being 6’1 and sitting inside a booth as the oven did not leave much leg room. Other than that, great, and I will go there again!

My family and I had dinner here and everything was so good! We had the all you can eat premium meal, oh my gosh, so worth it. We also had the smores and matcha tiramisu, and it was delicious as well. Service was good as well. We are Thai, and our server was too, so that was nice. He was very nice, but since it was busy, the service was kinda lacking.

We frequent here and it NEVER disappoints. Even if you don't come for the amazing happy hour or the insane lunch specials, the price for the all you can eat for the quality you get is nothing less than magical. Anjali was our most recent server and she was am absolute sweetheart. Took great care of us and still gave us space. 10/10 and will continue to recommend to everyone I know

First time dining at Gyu-Kaku and it totally exceeded expectations! The MIO sparkling sake (the one in the blue bottle) was especially amazing—light, bubbly, and almost like a fizzy soda with a kick. Super easy to drink and so refreshing. The food was on point too: beef tongue and skirt steak were flavorful and tender, cooked perfectly on the grill. The spicy shrimp? No joke—actually spicy, in the best possible way. Everything was fresh, delicious, and satisfying. Great service, great vibe. Definitely coming back!

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ!!! The food was beyond amazing....every cut of meat was fresh, tender, and full of flavor. Grilling at the table made it fun and interactive, and the variety of options kept everything exciting. On top of that, the service was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with recommendations or check in at just the right time. You can really tell they care about making your dining experience perfect. Jiraset was a fantastic server, so friendly and explained everything. Each staff member was great, they tell you how to cook each meat as they hand it to you. Definitely recommend reservations. Me and my husband got the ultimate all you can eat; everything was so good. The garlic rice was so flavorful; it was one of my favorite things that we got. This place was cozy. It was almost like being back in Japan.

Love it! Best Japanese BBQ buffet in Florida! They offer 3 kind of options like Premium, Ultimate and Supreme package. It start from $58+ so I choose the Ultimate one since it includes so many choices of appetizers and meats. The food quality was good and all the appetizer was great! I like Gyu Sushi a lot since I'm a beef lover. If you are a beef lover you gonna love it I recommend.

We came expecting a smooth and satisfying BBQ dinner, but it turned out to be a lesson in patience and expectations. The grill heat was gentle — perhaps a bit too gentle to actually cook the meat. Amazing food and service! We had someone in our party with severe nut allergies, and Karissa went out of her way to figure out which items needed to be modified and worked with the kitchen to make it happen. Karissa probably visited our table 10+ times to make sure we had everything we needed, definitely got our money's worth of the all-you-can-eat menu. We will be back!

Great experience to be cooking your own meat in a small grill in the middle of the table. I'd suggest going for one of the set menu and add some sides. Really nice all round!

I love Japanese BBQ. So of course I went for the all you can eat over 70 minutes option full expecting them to chase me out with a bat for eating my 100kilo weight in deliciousness. Alas...the service seems to be designed to take so long between ordering and bringing you new plates of meat to cook yourself, as to be a racket. After all, they charge you full a la cart price for any items you don't finish. This felt like a set up. The meats were slow to come out. Lots of idle time between grilling that could have been spent grilling and eating. The real rub is that there is an automatic 18% gratuity. This pretty much seals the deal on sub par service. Meaning, i suspect management purposely runs the operation short staffed to slow down the delivery of meats/food to grill. Thereby saving them the labor costs...at the dinner's expense. 🤔 So yeah. This place is t best mid. Not worth the calorie expenditure.

Gyu-Kaku’s is a favorite of my adult children. This was my husband and I’s first visit, however. It was a Friday night, but since we were arriving at 9pm on a non-holiday weekend, we didn’t think we’d need a reservation. When we checked in, we were told there was a 30 minute wait and we’d receive a text when our table was ready. We left our phone number and stepped back outside to their outdoor waiting area to enjoy the beautiful evening weather. After 45 minutes, my husband checked on our table and was told they had texted us, but thought we left. Zero text came through, nor did they call our name/ phone number out loud; we heard another couple state the same had just happened to them. They did get us seated quickly after that, but then we waited on our server, Dina, for what felt like an eternity—that was consistent for the entirety of our visit—never quite feeling like she was attending to us in a frequent enough or timely way. Because of that, I was quite glad that we had opted for meals outside the all-you-can-eat grill menu, because I would have been REALLY irritated having to wait for her service then. The edamame was bland. The zucchini disintegrated so that we couldn’t even grill it; she did bring us more, but we had to wait until we had finished eating the other vegetables to get replacement zucchini requested (because she didn’t check back that everything was in favorable order); and then waited long for it to arrive—which I thought was ridiculous because we were cooking it ourselves. The rest of our meal was yummy. The Matcha Tiramisu with green tea and vanilla ice creams was a refreshing twist on dessert. Overall, I think it’s overpriced for food you mostly cook yourself.

I’ve dined at Gyu-Kaku Orlando three times, and my previous experiences were great. The other waitresses we had before were friendly, attentive, and made the experience very enjoyable. Because of that, I’ve always spoken highly of this restaurant and recommended it to friends and family. Unfortunately, today’s visit was very disappointing. Our server, Anjali, was rude and took a long time to attend to our table. When she did speak to us, her tone felt very dismissive and made us feel uncomfortable, almost as if she was talking down to us. What made it more upsetting was that she was extremely friendly and talkative with the table next to us. I came with my daughter and my nephew, and it was actually my nephew’s first time visiting the restaurant, so I wanted them to have a great experience. Sadly, the service made the whole meal uncomfortable and I didn’t even enjoy my food. I really like this restaurant and have had great experiences before, which is why this situation was so disappointing. I hope management looks into this matter because I believe customer service should be consistent for all guests.

Horrible experience! They added an 18% mandatory gratuity without any prior notice—total rip-off. The receipt even has typos, showing how careless they are. Waste of money, would never come back.

With the wisdom of hindsight I shouldn't have let the server and one of our party make the dish selections. As it was, I was subjected to an endless succession of bland pieces of meat resulting in a bill of $100 per person. It might be possible to have an interesting and less expensive meal at Gyu-Kaku but I certainly won't be visiting again. The local Indian restaurant would have been a much tastier and varied option.
