Very low key diamond in the rough place. First visit I got the chicken plate with rice and beans. Really good, very filling, tons of food. Def going back for ox tails.
Good spot for Haitian food. To make it quicker order through door dash or Uber eats .
I went on a trip to Orlando from Dallas and wanted to have dinner at a Haitian restaurant. I tried 3 joints, among the 3 "Mimi's restaurant ranked top #1 which is located on 2161 Americana BLVD . I enjoyed eating what I bought. Keep up the good taste!

Sad to see what has happened to Mimi’s. The new owners destroyed the brand. This location had only one waitress covering the whole place. Felt bad for her.
The food is not bad but customer service is very poor, they need to SMILE more often
Looks like the took the rice from the bag and put it in the plate, we are haitian please try to do better, the goat was testless and not well cooked. Si nou paka kriye pa fe led.

I just bought a bouillon from there. I called to make sure they still had some. The guy picked up and said, we dont have enough "viv" meaning veggies but it has dumpling and meat.i said that's ok those are my 2 favs. I went paid for it. As I was about to check it right in front of him. He made a big commission about me making a mess at the front desk if I open the bowl up.i didnt wanna upset him so I took off and got in my car found out that the bouillon had one piece of tiny meat and the rest were shredded. I called back to speak with him the lady said hes not there. Mind you, I literally just left the place less than 5mns ago. They had the bowl pre made before I got there. I'm mad i feel like i didnt get my money's worth.and they probably had that bowl sitting there cause somebody else ain't want it. I support my Haitian folks/ businesses but I dont appreciate being lied to.Never going back. F** Liars.
If you are not Haitian, you do not feel welcome. Men stand right in the doorway. I was afraid to walk in and then they only had fried fish. I wanted the sauted red snapper. They really did not deserve a star at all.
Tha last time i went the lady at the counter taking the order had a bad attitude. I guess she doesnt like her customers that keep her in business. That's the big problem with some haitian businesses yo sa ront and frekan.
Terrible service. Prices change constantly. Food isn't fresh. The place looks terrible. I got a glimpse of the kitchen it was dirty and terrible looking. I'd rather pay a little more at Kalalou down the street.
Service is absolutely terrible. Lady behind counter had the nastiest attitude for absolutely no reason. I decided to take my hard earned coin elsewhere
I ordered 3 different foods just if one is bad I might get lucky to the one All three of them taste bad, salty, meat uncooked, rice not fresh Vye manje, menke nou sou mwen pa rekomande restoran sa a
I order through ubereats a plate of oxtails and rice and peas just to get something different. Something cheaper than what I ordered . I called and explained to a team member what happened , He act as if he was lost and confused .
I ordered legume, it was salty , the white rice was undercooked, epi yo mete on bou zo Nan legumes nan san vian
This is a whole in a wall. They have no menu, there was only one waitress covering every thing plus she was rude. No food was visible to order. Did not look up to part to even sit down and enjoy your meal. I just walk out without placing an order.
I've eaten Haitian food all my life and this was the first time i've ever been horribly disappointed. The person who helped us was rude and absolutely not interested in helping us. We wanted griot but they were out, no big even though it was said to us rudely, so we got fried chicken instead. When we got home, it became apparent that the food was refried and not fresh because the chicken looked like something after the apocalypse. Scorched bone and meat. Couldn't even chew it and worse still, the rice had no taste. The bean sauce was cold and the pikliz was dry and tasted old. We were very disappointed. Would never recommend.
