RareTea is a popular boba shop in Orlando known for delicious and customizable drinks, friendly staff, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. The strawberry drinks and brown sugar boba are frequently praised, though the latter can be too sweet at full strength.
Tip: If ordering the brown sugar boba, consider getting it at 50% or 80% sweetness to avoid it being too sweet.

On the way to Lake Eola Park. Stop by Raretea for some drink. Got the passion fruit, grapefruit and orange plus two Thai tea - one original and one with jasmin green tea. Everyone love they drinks. Great customer service as well as friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stop by again.
I’m no longer a Boba virgin hehe This cute shop offers a very large variety of drink options. I scrolled through their website and looked at reviews before arriving since I had no idea what to order. I picked the brown sugar milk tea. Creamy, sweet and DELICIOUS! It’s like a cross between chocolate milk and coffee, not black coffee the fufu coffee with syrups and creamers. The flavored pearls in the bottom are chewy and really elevate the experience to more then just a drink. Now I understand the BOBA excitement. Can’t wait to try some more flavors.
This is my FAVORITE Boba shop in the Downtown Orlando they have a variety of teas and toppings to choose from. The vibe in here is super esthetic. The workers are always super kind. Ive been coming here for years and they never disappoint 😊
From all the boba places I have tried in Orlando so far this is my favorite, their fresh milk is so good. We have come here multiple times and always order the Caramelized Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk with normal sweetness and every time is delicious. We love their consistency in terms of flavor, whereas in other places the same drink tastes different depending on the person. They have a lot of different options including a vegan menu with vegan toppings. Also the service from the girls is amazing, they are so nice and kind always smiling and happy to serve 🩷
One of the best boba teas I’ve had! They were not shy with the flavoring and the amount of toppings you get
Very delicious tea (my favorite is the teaspresso which is tea through an espresso machine), friendly staff, and the waffles with fruit and fruity flavored syrup Nico made for me were the best I've ever had. :)
Drinks are super good! We visited everyday during our time in Orlando!
The drinks are great! Definitely the strawberry berry snow cream is my favorite, the customer service was excellent too
Tl;dr: Great menu, awesome service, friendly staff, nice vibe, so many flavor options, customizable drinks, pastries (!!!!), reasonable prices, eco-conscious, free tumbler, local business, easy to access. Ok now for my novel-length review 🤣 I was just so blown away by every part of the experience that I needed to share my honest thoughts. ▪️Drink menu: They have an amazing menu with so many flavor combinations, seasonal drinks, unique crafted drinks (made with plain teas, milk teas—they even have dairy alternatives—matcha drinks, fresh fruit puree add-ins, boba and jellies). ▪️Food Menu: They also sell pastries—My husband cannot resist a puff-pastry custard and fruit dessert so he got one and loved it. I didn’t try any pastries, but I will next time I go. ▪️Price: For my jasmine green tea with mango and passion fruit puree and lychee jelly, I paid only $6 for a decent quantity. I was surprised by the price as this is inexpensive relative to the usual downtown pricing that comes with a premium. ▪️Service: The service here is amazing! I didn’t feel rushed to make a choice and was able to ask questions about the drinks since it was my first time visiting and I was debating between so many delicious looking drinks. Migdalia was so friendly helping me choose exactly what I wanted. She was super knowledgeable and patient as it was my first time going. We had a great chat, and she was even fine with taking a selfie for my review 🤓 ▪️Vibe: The atmosphere is so cute and relaxing! I would’ve spent time sitting in the cafe and people-watching, but I was already running late for an event I was planning to attend. RareTea seems like a good spot for a first date, a quick meeting, or a little break from the mayhem of daily life. It also seems like an ideal spot for remote work. IDK how they would feel about that, but I’ll try just bringing a laptop, setting up my little WFH station, and trying different drinks. ▪️Environmental-Friendliness: Another plus for me is that my drink came in a reusable tumbler, which I love because I try to be eco-conscious as much as possible so I appreciate the green option! Plus I now have a cute tumbler to add to my collection 💅🏽 ▪️Small Business: Ironically, RareTea is located right near the Starbucks on Summerlin, but I’m always glad to give my money and support to a local business over a corporate chain. I try to shop local whenever I can, and I’m glad I just so happened to walk past RareTea and decide to go in because it’s my new favorite tea & boba shop. ▪️My Order: I love a classic green tea with boba or jelly, so I ordered the mango-passion fruit-jasmine green tea with lychee jelly and was able to customize my drink (sugar level, ice level). It was perfection! Just high-quality jasmine green tea with fresh mango and passion fruit puree, and lychee jelly, no sugar, light ice. It was exactly the way I like my tea drinks—simple, flavorful, and fresh. Next time, I’ll be more adventurous and try one of their custom and seasonal drinks.
I ordered the jasmine milk tea with grass jelly. MAGICAL 🧋 ✨. Complex flavor, not too sweet- just perfect. Definitely recommend.
Great tea shop with a variety of cold teas with boba. The staff also keep the store very clean.
Visiting from California and craving post dinner boba. This place was very clean and welcoming! The sweetest staff ever that made my night! On top of that, the drinks were delicious! My husband and I tend to be critical of boba drinks and there were zero complaints here! The grapefruit, orange, passion tea was incredible! Perfect amount of citrus bitterness with sweetness.... so refreshing! My husband also loved his brown sugar milk; states it ranks very similar to his favorite at home
Making my second review because it’s just THAT GOOD!! I’ve been to almost every boba shop in Orlando and ATL. This is my #1 fave shop!! The girls at the register are also so sweet and kind. I got matcha with snow cream today SO AMAZING
Fresh strawberry's, tea and boba. Who can ask for more? Boba was cooked perfectly and had the perfect chewiness. Can't say that about a lot of places in Orlando Didn't get to try brown sugar since I went before it was ready. But I will be back to try it. Be sure to check rare tea out.
I love the ambiance. Taro milk tea was pretty good (and matches my water bottle). Boba taste fresh as well. And the woman behind the counter was nice. Price is kinda high but I'm hoping it means quality matches. I'll be back to try more, for research! 😉

I love this place. Everything is tasty and the staff is so nice. Jaelyn was super helpful when picking a new drink to try. Definitely a high recommendation from me.
Raretea is awesome! Always super customer friendly and the boba tastes amazing! Definitely recommend when you’re in the Thornton Park area.
super yummy, i used to work at a boba shop with in-house recipes and this is just as good if not better!!! really good unique flavors and not too sweet :))
I love the boba and teas here they have so many options and I can bring any friends with dietary restrictions and it’s like bussed Migdalia was so nice and has rly cool hair and let me take forever to decide what to get so 10/10 recommend her go visit ✊🧋
Stopped in for a quick iced tea. The person there was very friendly, asked what kind of tea/flavor profile do I like and was able to recommend something and adjusted the tea to my preferred sweetness (which is not sweet at all 😅). Highly recommend stopping in if you are around. Several teas and spices to choose from.
Very nice place, boba good, and the music was cool
Immediately after entering, the staff were extremely polite and welcoming. The wait was not very long and while the prices were a bit on the high side, it was worth it and a great experience. My partner ordered the Mango smoothie and it did melt very quickly, but it was overall very delicious. I ordered the Mango Passionfruit Green Tea with Lychee, and to say the least it was one of my favorite teas. Definetly worth trying!
I brought my cousin and her kids here to try boba for the first time. They were very needy and it was less than 30min before closing but Amanda and Madalia still managed to make their experience amazing. Oh and the boba was so good!!
Person working here was fantastic! Made a confident recommendation for my family! She also split it for us since she knew kids would want their own. Drink and atmosphere were great.
So delish and cute spot! Love coming here!
So happy to find this gem ! It smells heavenly as soon as you walk in and service was amazing! Thanks for the (soon to be) delicious rose 🍵! Happy day and God bless you ✌️
Great customer service! My husband and I come here often. Last time we went my husband tried a new drink and didn’t like it, and they were super nice and made him a new, different one. Delicious boba!
I’m a 1st time e-bike user the staff was amazing the matcha green test was amazing even allowed me to bring my e-bike in and charge while I cooled off with a nice green tea latte they didn’t have to let me charge my bike and it is the 1st time here signed up for the rewards and will be a long time customer from now on highly recommend this place
Love this place! The strawberry milk tea is my go to
im gonna miss this place like my home……. rare tea come back to us
Have always loved this place from my first day of grand opening to the many years later. Although the star has changed over time the loving warm energy is still the same. If your get boba in Orlando come here. Been coming here since day one and i still love it
My family was eating dinner next door outside and saw this place. My son likes Boba tea so we figured we would give it a try. He got the strawberry tea with strawberry popping Boba. I ordered online and walked over when it was supposed to be ready. The woman apologized for it not being ready but started making it immediately. She was very kind. My son really liked it! I tried it and also really liked the flavor of the tea. I am not a fan of Boba but the tea was delicious. We will be back for sure!
Super good place come here often after Jinya all the time ty
I go here all the time whenever I’m in the area!! The drinks are great! The boba is one of the best in the area! The brown sugar fresh milk is my go to! The girl at the front desk is awesome! She has a great attitude and is very personable even when you don’t know what to get as you step through the door!
So many options you're bound to find a flavor to fall in love with! I got the taro with Boba and was astonished at how much better the Boba itself tasted than other places I've been to. The Boba was warm and soft, perfect texture. We went here while waiting to be seated at the restaurant next door and I am so glad we stopped in ☺️
One of the best boba spots I’ve been to! Delicious boba and super nice workers. Will definitely be back☺️
This is my new favorite boba place in Orlando. I ordered the rose spring tea with boba and it was so good! The tea was a little too sweet for me so I’ll make sure to order it with 75% sugar next time. This place is also located right next to Lake Eola Park, so you can just get your boba and stroll around the park, too. Will definitely be back to try more of their bobas whenever I’m in the Orlando area again.
I’ve been going here for over a year and it’s sooooo good, the drinks are awesome and the staff are super nice and everything always tastes great :D
Our journey began outside on the patio as we were eating next door at Jinya Ramen (which is amazing, BTW. Check it out!) We began chatting with 2 of the employees from RareTea. After reading the sign out on the patio, my Daughter began asking questions about the tea options she noticed on the sign. The staff was helpful and we weren't even their patrons. About 30 minutes later, one of the RareTea employees came over with one of the refreshers that my daughter had said , "sounded amazing". Free. A treat. A surprise. Nothing quote says awesome like this! After our lunch at Jinya, we stepped next door to grab a couple more drinks and some fresh baked cookies. Great service. Fun staff. Amazing refreshers. Thanks for being amazing (and enjoy the tip) 🤘😍🤩😎
The drinks are sooooo good and the staff is soooo nice! I have been to a lot of boba tea shops but this is my favorite. Even though I live far from Orlando, I WILL come here again one day. It’s too good!
I got the matcha latte 50% sweet with snow cream (cheese foam) and boba. The snow cream is perfectly sweet and salty. The boba is very nice, soft, sweet, and ours was still warm from being freshly cooked. It’s definitely on the pricey side (mine was $8 with everything I added) but you get what you pay for! Update: My new favorite drink at rare tea is the strawberry milk tea. After 4 months, it’s still my favorite boba spot in Orlando!
Great addition of a boba place over near Lake Eola! I ordered the Okinawa Milk Tea with Brown Sugar boba with less sweetness and it was perfect! What I love about this place is that their Milk Teas are dairy free! I’m sensitive to dairy products and I usually substitute my milk tea for alternative milks when there are options, otherwise I just have to choose a fresh tea. At RareTea I can actually enjoy my milk tea and not have to worry about the flavor changing because I substituted the milk option. The location is actually great too! Now I can grab a drink while I walk around the lake. What else beats a boba in hand while you walk around looking at everyone’s adorable pups?
This place is absolutely amazing! I’ve tried different drinks every time I’ve gone and they have never disappointed me. They’re constant with they’re quality and speed. The customer service is absolutely amazing and very helpful. I highly recommend coming here, 10/10 definitely better then Quickly Boba Tea.
Don't get the brown sugar boba at full strength - do 50% or 80%. Otherwise it's too sweet. The regular black milk tea boba is good, as is the Okinawa tea. The strawberry drinks truly taste like strawberry.

Had some boba drinks here after a warm day at the Orlando Farmer's Market at the Eola Park. Drinks were great! Sitting is just very limited. Might be good to add a few more seats or stand up tables so people can cool down inside.
Very nice small clean Boba tea location. It looked very nice on the outside and wanted to give it a try. I got a Mango Smoothie and I tried the Duo Grape drink, new item they were promoting. Honestly I did not liked it and should've sticked to what I know. Buy I did really like the Mango smoothie. I'll be back to try something else.
Anytime I am in the downtown Orlando area I make a pit stop here for some delicious tea. Today I ordered a Mango Passion Green Tea and a brownie. This little spot is located just in the heart of downtown Orlando near Lake Eola. There is plenty of public parking located in the rear of the shopping center (first 30 min free) . There is a small sitting area inside and a couple of patio chairs and tables outside. The location is pet friendly.

Stopped here after our meal at Jinya. Ordered several drinks to try to get an idea of what they had to offer. It's a small and cozy little shop. Limited seating. Not a lot of decor. Fairly large menu which is nice. We sat down and waited for our order which I never heard get called was ready. They were out of the brown sugar boba ice cream but it was also okay because I tried a matcha takiyaki ice cream instead. I asked for a lightly sweetened tea and it was almost 0 sweetened tea. The flavor was still good. It was extremely hot outside. So anything cold and refreshing was nice. The matcha rose milk tea was definitely the best one of the 3 we ordered. It was nice and convenient right next door to our dinner for an after meal treat. It wasn't the best boba I've ever had but it definitely wasn't poor either. It was a very solid average tea experience for me. Nice place to stop if you are in the area.
Good tea but should really be $1-$2 cheaper
I got caramelized brown sugar milk with boba. It's unique taste mixed with caramel and brown sugar, it's sweeter but not too much, I like it. Boba is not that soft compare to other shops boba, but my bf liked this shop boba. So, I guess it depends on person. There's cute sitting area inside the shop.
They charge you for breathing. I got the strawberry smootea she made it very sour and it didnt taste like strawberry. They dont do refunds either which i think is ridiculous because she messed up the drinks and gave us plain boba when we asked for brown sugar boba. I say you should only visit if you like earthy drinks because fruity drinks are clearly not their specialties.
I got taro pudding shake and I could taste a little bit dish soap. 🙃
Tea was delicious and the environment and aesthetic is lovely. I was just a little confused and frustrated because I ordered from their advertising board out front, the “Okinawa Tea”, but what I received was not what was pictured. The advertisement features boba and my tea came without it. I had to place a separate order to get boba. It felt very misleading. It’s also a little pricey! We spent $15 on two drinks.
I went into this place and saw the drink menu and asked if they can make hot teas and the server said Yes they can make the milk tea hot so I ordered a taro milk tea and she made it cold and then when I asked I thought I said hot tea and she was like no you didn't. If I'm asking if you make hot tea and ask for a taro milk tea I would assume that my order would be hot but I guess I should have clarified hot taro milk tea. As far as the actual taro tea itself , I've had a lot of taro teas and this one was not the best one made. I would rather Boba Queen. This one has a perfume taste to it.
The location and setting is what makes this place. It’s set nicely within the city, and you can walk around Lake Eola area with easy. It’s idealic, and would have been perfect if the drinks matched. The drinks are not really good. Their flavor profile is rather weak and very sour, and the boba has an artificial flavor that makes it hard to enjoy- especially with the high prices. The baristas were sweet, so nothing against them. I just wouldn’t recommend it.
I ordered the matcha strawberry boba tea and the taro milk boba tea. Both were very bitter and it was clear the tea was way too strong. I have tried many boba tea places and I love tea. The teas were seeped so strong in these drinks they gave us a headache!! They also use crushed ice that comes through the straw as you're trying to drink. Overall very disappointed in this place and will not be back.
I use to love this place, but the young ladies they have working now do not do a good job. I ordered a brown sugar boba, and there was hardly any syrup in it, it looked like a glass of milk. They remade it and I watched the lady stick her fingers into the liquid while remaking it. I asked them if someone else could make it as I watched her prepare to reuse that same liquid. The lady who originally took my order remade the drink incorrectly and it tasted awful! I ended up getting a refund because I was disappointed in both their service and sanitary measures. I won’t ever be back and I suggest no one else tries them either.
The boba was hard in the middle and the girl didn’t want to make me a new drink, just replaced the boba with equally hard boba even after I paid almost $10. I think she was distracted because she was talking to her friend at the counter the whole time.
With so many boba tea shops around you’d think this place would avoid being mediocre — how can they go wrong on basic options?!? You would have a better chance getting this near Mills or even Lotte Market on West Colonial. Not worth the taste, the calories or the money. Staff quietly reserves you subpar teas if you ask them to be re-made so don’t bother asking.
