Nice place to grab a bite on a visit to the aquarium. Good mix of seafood options, bar food, and some basic entrees. The clam chowder in a sour dough bread bowl was a standout, and the fish tacos were fresh and tasty. The drink menu had some standards and a couple of unique choices. Food came out fast.

Decided to stop for a quick bite on Sunday afternoon. Place is clean and laid back good for a quick bite or some drinks. I had the shrimp salad and it was good, but it needed more shrimp and tomatoes & bell peppers were sliced too big. My husband had the nachos with carnitas and those were good. Our server was very friendly and attentive as well.

Watch your bill.. the waiter tried to over charge us we told him to fix our bill and he insisted we ordered everything on our bill. He went back fixed it and still tried to double charge us. Everything else was great.

When did it become okay to have non service dogs in the restaurant? The food is good but having two dogs, poodles, in the main dining room. The server said they weren't aware of it until I pointed it out.

Came in to try the lobster roll, unfortunately tasted more of the carrot salad than lobster meat. $45 (CA) vs $32 (MA), just because in California everything is more expensive; two pictures from different geographical locations. Just sharing my experience: eat lobster roll when on East coast.

Sly’s isn’t a bad place. The ambience is nice and the staff are friendly, though sometimes hard to find. The food is decent, but overpriced, even if it is on the Row. The chowder is good but the bread is so-so. The fish n chips desperately needed to be drained - the fish was cooked well and the batter is good but the whole thing went soggy from the oil coming off it. The biggest issue - a 9 dollar Guinness poured out of a can into a plastic glass. And it was room temp. :(

The location is fantastic close to the ocean if you get a great seat you see a view of the beautiful Monterey Bay. Located right at steinblack Plaza where you get awesome shopping experiences a great Street to stroll on a really good starting point if you're visiting the nearby aquarium. We were seated right away on a busy Sunday which was great. However the food was mediocre. I ordered the lobster roll with the house sauce and the butter sauce on the side. I found myself feeling like there wasn't enough flavor and it lacked excitement. My dad had the only steak they offered which was the prime. He thought it was okay. The service was a little slow but the views of the bay made up for it. I will say this place is a little bit more of a sports bar than a dining restaurant. The staff was very casual and Young it does look like they have night time music so it really is a place to just chill out be casual and grab a quick bite to eat.

We took our family of four here for lunch on a Saturday and arrived around 12:00 p.m., before it got crowded. After being seated, it took about 10 minutes for someone to take our order. Our food arrived roughly 20 minutes later, coming out a couple of minutes apart. After our initial food and drink order was taken, we didn’t see our waiter again for at least an hour. He eventually dropped off the check without saying a word and walked away. About 10 minutes later, he returned to pick up the card, and another five minutes after that he dropped it back on the table, again without saying anything. In total, we were there for at least an hour and a half, and we were never checked on once. A manager or hostess walked by several times while we were clearly waiting and didn’t step in. The service overall was extremely disappointing. Another couple seated behind us actually left after waiting 40 minutes for their food. If a restaurant on the main strip of the Wharf can’t handle a moderate Saturday lunch crowd, that’s a problem. On a positive note, the food was good, but unfortunately, the service overshadowed the experience.

What a huge disappointment. We gathered for drinks and appetizers. We finished none of them. The Cajun dry run chicken wings were just regular old fried chicken wings, the ones that make you regret ordering them. The greasy pretzel bites were not appealing at all. The Mac n cheese were fried, oblong grease catchers that had more breading than Mac n cheese. And the raspberry mojito tasted like Robitussin or Dimatapp. Can’t decide which version of medicine was closer to the truth. Either way, save your money, your time and your calorie count.

We visited on 12/26, got 3 starters calamari, garlic potato fries and pickle fries. The calamari is soft and didn’t feel the freshness, pickle and potato fries are tasty but after a while our stomach was upset and realized it has to do with fried oil, it’s heavy and fatty. I Will never eat here again, this is my experience and don’t know if anyone faced similar situation

Worst lobster roll (and most expensive) I’ve ever had. 0 flavor to the lobster. I’m guessing it came out of a can and sat in a warming tray from the taste/ texture of it. The water they served tasted like it was the leftover water the lobster was warmed up in. The popcorn shrimp was good. Cocktail was good. Don’t get the lobster anything or a water.

Literally the worst 😅 The Hostess was the best part about the place. My husband got a warm beer that wasn't even the kind he ordered. Our waiter didn't approach us a single time after taking our order. Food took a looong time, and We had to ask for napkins, no silverware to be found. When the food came it look semi ok, we all got burgers. There were no condiments anywhere and barely any "house sauce" on the buns, so...dry. The patties were unseasoned, the produce on it's way out and nothing to cut the way too big burgers with. I had to flag down the server to get our check, and when it came to us it had another tables drinks on it. The place is falling apart, dirty chairs, sticky floor, no ambiance. Super sad and for $120...a huge let down. Salt and pepper goes a long way, guys. I'm pregnant so I was desperate to eat something but my husband and son left with maybe 2 bites taken. Lame way to run a business for it being such a cool spot.

Went to this place with my family today (on a Monday afternoon) and we were seated right away. There was only one other person in the restaurant at this time & we were excited to beat the crowd. The food came in a timely manner. I ordered fish and chips and that was okay. It was a bit oily & since then my stomach has been feeling uneasy. It wasn’t what I expected. My husband ordered a lobster role which the waitress stated was a $48 value. The lobster role literally had a huge ice berg of lettuce in It. Barely any lobster and more like strings and crumbs of It. Really wish I could have taken a picture. It was literally a lettuce roll for $48. My husband’s stomach is feeling uneasy too. The water tasted weird as well. I do not recommend this place, would not eat here again. The prices are high and the food is not worth It. The waitress’ customer service was very basic as well.

Spent $46 on a lobster roll + tax + tip. Quite possibly the worst meal I’ve ever had. Chewy shredded lobster bits on a stale roll with a piece of lettuce and some brown dressing out of a bottle. Ate about 1/4 of the sandwich before I couldn’t stand the texture or taste anymore. A $1.99 hot dog from Costco would have been a better choice and provided more utils. On the plus side, I hadn’t pooped in days. But the lobster successfully cleared out my colon within 15 minutes.

Absolutely horrible service. Waited 15 minutes before being sat at a table, then once sat waited another 30 minutes until getting up and leaving. Within those 30 minutes sitting there nobody even came and took a drink order. Watched 2 other families come in after us and get their drink and food orders taken immediately. When we decided to get up and leave we noticed the waitress having a conversation at the table next to us. Also would like to add there was probably 10 people max in there. Awful customer service.

Our server Katlyn was super attentive and nice, service was great. We ordered the chicken tenders and they look and taste like frozen chicken tenders you can buy at the grocery store no crisp or flavor whatsoever. Again service was great food was deceiving.
