This restaurant near downtown Palm Springs flies the Ol Glory. 🫡🫡 Stopped by to make sure it got my business. Super friendly mom n pop restaurant. Super good avocado omelette topped with colorado sauce.
great little breakfast spot. food is awesome
Excellent spot, worth the 9 min walk. Coffee delicious, eggs perfect, bacon top quality and some nice sourdough toast to boot. Orange juice was high quality and prices are pretty solid.
Bit of Country came recommended by family members and I must agree that this place is great. Large menu selection of breakfast and lunch items. Portions are generous. Food is tasty. Service is outstanding. Will most certainly become a frequent visitor to this relaxing, family-run restaurant. Highly recommend.
Awesome food, awesome service and absolutely great people. Had breakfast up at the bar and the breakfast burrito was delicious and easily enough for 2 people. Cool little diner spot in Palm springs with a delicious menu. Highly recommend
This place is great. Stopped in while visiting from out of town, and service was fast, friendly, and accommodating. They had no issues with my one substitution. The pancakes are light and fluffy, and the bacon and hash browns were perfectly crispy. Prices were very reasonable as well. Great spot for breakfast.
We were looking for a quick breakfast and found this place. Nothing fancy and definitely off the main Palm Canyon Drive places downtown. We arrived early, so there was no wait. Our waiter was fast, friendly, and efficient. Checked with us a couple times to see if we needed anything. Definitely recommend.
This classic diner in downtown Palm Springs is a top-notch spot. It’s the perfect way to kick off your morning. Especially great after a fun night out!
We had a wonderful breakfast! Armando was fantastic, providing excellent service. The food was amazing, and the prices are unbeatable. Highly recommend!
Cute cozy diner vibes. Food is fresh and well seasoned. Staff is super warm and welcoming!
Right when I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm hellos and friendly smiles. The menu had a lot of variety and different dishes. I decided to order the manbos special and I wasn't disappointed. It was amazing! Being on a vacation here I sadly won't be able to go back again, but if I ever come to palm springs again. I will gladly go there.
Small place, but great food. Chicken fried steak n biscuits n gravy was IT.
What a way to start my day in Palm Springs. Delicious breakfast and above terrific staff. Even the chef came to check on me. Mom's homemade salsa made great greater!
We Googled this place for breakfast, it looks like a hole in the wall but it had some of the best food and incredible service. I had the omelet and I must tell you it was probably one of the best omelettes I have ever had. It was so tasty, I am not exaggerating. And our waiter was just so sweet and helpful and was there to help with whatever we needed. It was a little pricey but honestly you get what you pay for. We were from out of town and wanted a good breakfast joint. We love a good greasy spoon and the place we wanted to go to was closed on Mondays so we found this spot and we were so happy with our choice. Will definitely be back cuz we're going to be here for a bit of time 👍🏻🌟🍳🍞
Got the new work steak and eggs with crispy hashbrowns. Food came out perfectly cooked, hot and in a fair time. Service was excellent! 3 breakfast plates was $69 10/10 highly recommended
Great staff. Chilaquiles was tasty
I’ve been going here since I moved to Palm Springs and have to say it’s one of the most inviting and cozy diners/restaurants around! It features a nice outdoor seating area and an even better interior! If you want good comfort food everything is A+ and I love the Horchata here. So far I’ve tried most of the breakfast and it was all delicious! Great people work here too so it’s an extremely pleasant and tasty experience! Check them out!
Always delicious! Fresh ingredients and super friendly staff. A MUST GO!
Absolutely spectacular! Our new favorite breakfast place! Bacon was cooked to perfection, biscuits and gravy OMG! Perfect level of service; that is a hard grade to get from me. There is a very fine line between annoying and right on time. This little gem should be packed solid from the time their doors open! They got it going on!
Excellent service. Great outdoor seating. Plenty of parking even for my RV on the street. I had the huevos rancheros and home fries with coffee. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Food was simple and tasty. What more can I say. Oh coffee comes with a little pot so no waiting to bother waiters for refills.
Stayed next door at the Dunes and had breakfast here 3 days in a row. Servings are generous, prices reasonable, service fast and friendly, and the food was delicious.
Service was fabulous! Will try again even though breakfast wasn’t good but maybe lunch. The customer service is definitely worth 5 stars
The price, food and service make up for a dated restaurant. The food was great plus there was a warm and friendly service.
You get WAY more than what you would generally pay for, huge portions and fantastic food. I got myself the "8 ounce" ribeye with the toast, eggs, and hashbrowns and not one thing was short from exceptional. Picture related, juiciest steak I've ever had in my whole life; I suggest getting yours rare too. Love it love it love it, definitely coming back soon <3
This place is an easy choice if you’re looking for a casual breakfast at a good price. Service was excellent and the whole staff was really friendly. Shout out to our server Armando who for the great service.
Really great breakfast spot. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. Our waiter treated everyone with the utmost respect and kindness.
The only drawback of this amazing place is the proximity to the road but the food and service make up for it. I am stuffed and only ate half of my Mambo Special. Hubs ate 97% of his Pastrami sandwich. Want breakfast and lunch at the same time? THIS is your place.
First time here. It's a little hole in the wall but had good reviews. We sat outside at 9:30 am. I had the special of Chilaquiles with eggs and Carne asada. My daughter had the French toast. There was a "regular" that showed up and the waited knew him and what he wanted. I like that. Very homey atmosphere. Our food was delicious. It fresh and extremely enjoyable experience. We will be returning when in Palm Springs.
Loved my meal here. Coming from the south, it’s hard for me to be pleased with many of the variations of southern food that I have/do encounter. However, this was on point. Specifically the biscuits and gravy. The fact that they made good gravy and and good biscuit, won me over. My girlfriend loved her cheeseburger too.
A great restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Great service and awesome quality of food. If u want a good breakfast I highly recommend you this place
The reception is remarkable. And the customers who are there want to talk to you.
Such friendly service and good food. It’s ideally located a few blocks from the center of town, so it’s central but much mellower than the other breakfast/brunch standbys. Easy street parking and unlikely to have a wait.
Every time we ate here over the years it's always delicious. The wait staff always accommodating and nice. Truly a delight of a day to enjoy a wonderful meal a a kind person.
Great breakfast and service! The eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection. Our server was efficient and funny! It's off the beaten path but worth it. Don't let the looks on the outside fool you. Sometimes these are the best places.
While visiting Palm Springs this weekend, I went to have breakfast. In this little hole in the wall. the food is delicious, the service was amazing, and all the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is cozy as if you're eating in your own home. I would definitely recommend this little eatery to anyone and everyone! Thank you guys for making my first visit and second visit the best! I will definitely be back when I'm in town. ❤️🙏🏼
The friendliest server (David?) - could not have done more for us and loved to chat to us about premier league football. Great vibe to the diner, good location with free easy parking. We only had a simple breakfast of waffle, toast & eggs but all was good solid diner fare.
Classic rock plays, a little hole in the wall kind of diner vibe. They have a few options at $14 a plate, and that’s the cheapest options, but the food is good. I got the number 1, which said it come with two eggs, when the dish came out it had to be at least 6 eggs and 1/4 pound of ham in em. I ain’t complaining. I credit the prices more to the general Palm Springs area. Taste of Country holds true to its name, the biscuits and gravy were good by tennessee standards.
Got seats quickly with a party of 6, coffee was perfect, different floaved creamer was available and a nice surprise. Cheliquelis, sooooo good! Had to ask for extra gree chile because it was perfect! Tater tots, extra crispy and delicious. Omelets were almost too big to finish. And customer service was top knotch, extraordinary! Server was very attentive, joyful, and had great banter with our small party. I definitely recommend this as a place to stop by if you need that home town vibe. Look no further!
1st time we stopped here, they had the Hawaiian Omelet on their Specials of the Day board and had to inquire. It was a Ham & Pineapple Omelette. Sorry for those who don't care for pineapple but I love it and of course had to try it. I've been on a Holistic Restrictive Diet for the past few months, so being able to request a few tweaks in ingredients, with no hesitation from the server, is a BIG plus for me 🙏🏽. As for the omelette... Loved it 🤪❤️👍🏼 Happy & friendly service. Quaint lil diner type establishment, with plenty of food options for everyone. Would definitely refer to anyone, to give them a try 😎
Great food and service! Was my family’s first time here and it is now my favorite breakfast spot in Palm Springs. I’m certain their lunch items are just as good. Can’t wait to come back and try more. All of the waiters and workers were very nice, friendly and attentive. They made a great food experience even better. I hope the owner knows what special people they he has working for them.
Alright, I've been to a lot of breakfast and brunch spots. This by far takes the cake. The food was magnificent, and the service was great. These guys know what they are doing and are very kind. Would recomend if you want breakfast to feel like your home dining room. Worth every dollar and minute spent.
The quaint, 'old school' feel of "Bit of Country" reminds me of another time when teenagers cruised in their cars and frequented the diner to eat, talk and date. I came in for the biscuits & gravy as it was recommended to me by a buddy. Inexpensive, filling, tasty...just like Mom used to make. Try it!
If you want a no frills country breakfast this is the place. Sitting outside is always a pleasure in Palm Springs...I ordered eggs over easy, and sausage which was so plentiful I couldn't eat it all. A good simple, value breakfast.
Funny waiter, good home feel dive spot. Ham and eggs were surprisingly tasteful. Eggs Benny with spinach and tomato were also very fresh and satisfying. Price is decent for the meal you get!
Customer service 5 stars. There is a picture from a few years ago of the menu and now add $2-$3 on top of the price in the picture. I forgot to take a picture of the menu for an update of accurate price. It was just ok. The chilli cheese fries were good. However I did feel it was just a bit pricey for the quality of food.
The biscuits and gravy were fantastic. I like bigger pieces of ham in my diced ham and eggs but the food was good. Service was impeccable
The food and service were great! We ate out on the patio and the views were amazing! Our server, Jose, was very nice and professional!
Quaint little place offering delicious breakfast items. I had New York strip and eggs this morning. Steak was slightly overcooked; I ordered med rare and received medium. Eggs were great. Hash browns about average. Biscuits and gravy tasted a bit like undercooked flour to me. Overall I'd say it's worth a trip to find this place but I'll probably go somewhere else next time.
We had breakfast here yesterday and it was a positive experience because of the outdoor seating and for the speed and great service . Unfortunately the holllondaise sauce , eggs, tomato and spinach with mambo breakfast were so bland the whole dish tasted washed out . Would return but order something different .
Service was great and everything came out hot and pretty quickly. Overall the food was ok, not great, but not terrible. Very middle of the road. Everyone there was very nice and treated us well. I would return.
Good food, service needs help. I had the pancake combo with eggs and bacon. The pancakes were a little on the dense side (if you like heftier pancakes). The eggs were cooked well. The bacon was crispy and delicious. The service was a little difficult. I know staff can be overwhelmed when it comes to managing lots of cutomers, however, this was not the case during my visit. I kept wanting to get my servers attention, but when ever I saw any of the staff heading my direction to help someone else, I waited for them to finish but then they turned and ran the other direction again and again. I may give them another chance, since the food was good. We'll see....
Service was slow, pancakes were tough, not fluffy. Eggs and hb were good. For the price, i expect great food and great service! I'll go to dennys next time.
Fabulous service, not fab food, unfortunately. Don’t order grits and biscuit/gravy! Perhaps chef saw these both in a book and thought he/she would cook them. But i doubt “said” chef has ever tasted these items correctly made. So, stay away from those two things, really. Pork chops were huge and good. Eggs were good. And again, the service was excellent.
Service is quick, friendly and attentive. Food was okay, the hash browns were mushy and undercooked. The biscuits are really good. Eggs were loaded with excess salt. The prices are a bit high for this level of facility, which desperately needs some refresh. They seem like a great group of people.
My daughter and I went here for Breakfast and she named this place "Bit of Crazy"...The omelets are good & the home fries are the best...better than the hash browns which are mushy and tasteless...there was no green only yellow lettuce in the house salad...The biscuit was hard as a hockey puck...The server brought another one & said he poked the Pillsbury doughboy on this one..he also forgot butter for the pancakes ( how do you forget butter for pancakes?) & put a giant scoop of butter in a small ramekin that was overflowing while making the comment is that enough butter for you? The rude constant comments are unnerving like calling us Queens and Princes?? Huh? he thinks he's funny...I believe this server might be related to the owners so I would just say, give him a host job instead of serving customers if you want to get more business..sorry but we will never be back...The 70's vibe booths are a throwback
Pretty average food . Was not impressed with the biscuits and gravy unfortunately not to mention they forgot to bring it out with my breakfast I ordered so I was already done eating when I had to remind them about the rest of my order. The food took kinda long to get for the little bit they give you. Kinda pricey also .
It was a fine morning when my bestie Tomku and I—two certified city boys—decided to embark on a daring mission: country eating. We rolled up to the place, ready to embrace the rustic vibes, and were greeted by an overly cheerful server who clearly drank all the coffee meant for the customers. The service? Impeccable. The food? Well… let’s just say it existed. Tomku, bless his soul, had a full-blown existential crisis after his first bite of biscuits and gravy. I don’t think he’s ever encountered such a texture in his life. He stared at his plate like it had personally offended him. But the real kicker? The owner—who I assume was the sheriff of this fine establishment—came around and chatted up all the experienced-looking patrons, completely ignoring us. I’m pretty sure we got discriminated against for being young, which, honestly, I kind of respect. Age-based exclusion? A bold and creative approach. I’ll allow it. Would I return? Maybe. But only if Tomku recovers from his biscuit trauma.
Waited about a half hour for food and food sucked and order came with corn tortillas when asked for flour and juice tasted watered down and weird. SUCKS
If you want a decent or even edible Eggs Benedict DO NOT COME HERE. The eggs Benedict they have in the photos on this page is a stock photo, looks nothing like My eggs Benedict which was over cooked with hard boiled eggs, a mystery sour clumpy hollandaise sauce, on top of burnt ham and stale bread. Most of the ratings here are fake, there is absolutely NO WAY people willingly gave this place 4 stars.
