I absolutely loved this spot! First place we ate in Palm Springs for brunch. We may even return before we leave! Chicken and waffles were delicious!
Stopped in for a drink and a quick bite. Drinks are mixology perfection. I had the Jungle Bird - a rum drink with the sweetness of pineapple tempered by the acidity of lime and the herbaceous bitterness of campari. My wife had the Hemmingway Daquiri - absolutely sublime. We snacked on lumpia with a sweet and sour sauce. We'll be back again to try more of their offerings.
What a lovely experience here! We were treated like family from the second we walked in. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and kind. There was a minor issue with one item that we ordered, and it was removed from our bill immediately with no questions asked. The food was delicious. The dogs had fun! What more can you ask for?
Always a great experience! Has visited PS many times in the last year before moving here part time and Boozehounds has become a favorite! Food is amazing, atmosphere is lovely; however, most of all, the service is superb! I was not aware until recently of their coffee services prior to opening - huge fan and recommend to anyone needing a latte, americano, etc. on the go or to sit and chat! Definitely will be coming back over and over!
I demand Joe is promoted to the title “Beverage Director” (he can still bar tend lead), I mean have you watched this man make drinks?? And then when you even just think “oo I could go for another” he appears to make more! This man is living example of what we want at a bar I wish I was a restaurant owner to steal him from you! He is an incredible asset to your success Taylor! New bar hire: also incredible wow she comes from an hour away to work her butt off! She was a great hire we love her so friendly and attentive thank you!!! Ryan was also just so so lovely and made our sangria! Super smiley and wonderful too!! What an awesome bar staff! Front of house thank you for getting us in!!:) The decorations for the Holidays are killer We had the steak and burrata omg delicious Yummm our second time and we will be back:)) cute fun fun place
Cool space where you can enjoy great vibes and bring your pooch if you choose. There is a great enclosed patio for pooches and their people, so you don’t have to be around pooches if you prefer. I would describe the food as Asian flavors infused into global comfort food - fried chicken, egg rolls, etc. we had the karage, lumpia, crudo, and Brussels. Everything was delicious. The cocktail program is super inventive and creative. Really lovely experience.
Wow. The best “Benny” I’ve had in a long time. I ordered with a side of bacon because this is a meatless Benny. I should’ve trusted the chef and let the roasted chickpeas be the star of the show. Glad I asked for protein on the side so I could try the dish on its own! First time here. I’d suggest calling ahead if you’re with a dog and by yourself. The front signage asking to go through the “doggy” door appeared to be misleading when I arrived. Lovely staff. Amazing food. Cozy and comfortable for dogs. Turns out chefs in Palm Springs can actually cook. This is my new favorite place, after condemning Palm Springs as a culinary desert. PLEASE visit. This place is delicious and made for fun.
We held our full, 100 person wedding reception at Boozehounds back in April. We could not have envisioned a better venue! Cameron, Chef Aric, and DJ Chris absolutely knocked it out of the park. They were all incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond. The space works exceptionally well for a reception, as you can flow from the cocktail hour on the patio, to a sit down dinner in the dining room, to dancing in the atrium. Received a ton of comments that it was the best “wedding food” anyone has ever had!
We came in on a Monday for lunch and were seated right away. For lunch, they do bar ordering with limited table service but our food came out quickly and was exceptional. They have a full water and treat station for the dogs as well as a fun dog menu. We tried the watermelon gazpacho for our two dachshunds and they loved it! There’s plenty of space for tables to keep dogs separated from other groups and the outdoor patio was shaded and cool. It was quiet during the lunch hour but they advertised fun events like drag shows that I’m sure make the restaurant a blast. We will absolutely be back
First time visiting Boozehounds and it was a great experience! The vibe was awesome—everyone was so friendly, especially all the dog lovers. The service was excellent, and they even gave us a free snack for our furry babies—just one simple ingredient: chicken breast. Our pups loved it! The food came out quickly and the portions were perfect for brunch. Plus, they have a dog menu as well. We'll definitely be back!
Great place to visit in Palm Springs… it was a total vibe there from the minute we stepped in to when we left the building. Drinks were generously poured and spiked, the menu was a combo of Asian fusion and some American classics. Our server was Andrew B and worth mentioning for his kind heart and superb service! Thanks again Andrew for a wonderful meal served up quickly and for your patience with our big crowd and our special requests!
Boozehounds is a fantastic brunch spot with an amazing atmosphere. The space is stylish, lively, and perfect for a relaxed yet fun brunch experience. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was crispy and well seasoned, and the waffles were fluffy with just the right balance of sweet and savory. Overall, a great brunch experience with good food and a vibrant vibe. Definitely worth a visit when in Palm Springs.
Nice spot for cocktails and small bites in Palm Springs. If you’re looking to get out of the heat and enjoy a cocktail hour then this is a great option. The vegan food options on the menu were diverse in selection which I appreciated. Everything came out quickly and tasted good. I enjoyed the cocktail as well. It was well balanced, refreshing, and hit the spot! The overall aesthetic of the place is very mid century chic and somewhat moody. It’s the type of place where you want to dress up a little for cocktail hour, which makes me happy. I’d happily go back next time I’m in Palm Springs!
We had come to Boozehounds a few years ago for brunch and absolutely loved it, so we were genuinely excited to come back and try dinner this time. The atmosphere remains one of the highlights — the mid-century modern vibe is effortlessly cool, and the patio is such a great space to relax and enjoy the evening. It’s stylish, welcoming, and definitely one of those places you want to love. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations this time around. The cucumber salad was fresh and nicely done, probably one of the better dishes we had. The chicken karaage was good, but there wasn’t that “wow” factor that makes you think about it the next day. It felt a bit standard. I ordered the tofu bowl, and while I liked the flavors overall, it was just a tad dry. It really needed a bit more sauce — maybe a light curry or something drizzled over the rice — to tie everything together and elevate the dish. The fish and chips were also pretty standard. Not bad, just nothing particularly memorable or exceptional about it. Given how much we enjoyed brunch in the past, we came in with high expectations for dinner. While the ambiance still delivers, the food left us a little disappointed this time around. Hoping it was just an off night because the space truly deserves a menu that matches its vibe.
Food was subpar. Came here with my family and our pups. Presentation of their food is really nice. They’ve got a pretty appetizing menu. As far as flavor goes, it’s lacking quite a bit. For example, the ube on the ube cinnamon roll tasted more like butter than the actual sweet ube flavor. Servers were very friendly. There are some pictures and signs that are not very children friendly so if you’ve got kids, keep that in mind. Love that you can bring your doggos. They may like the food more than you regardless of taste lol. Other than that, service was good. Food was ok.
Boozehounds…Heard great things and was super excited to try it. Unfortunately, it did not meet the mark or come even close. Super cool restaurant when you walk in. Interestingly/unexpectedly, there were no less than four bachelor/bachelorette parties when we walked in. Maybe that was my fault but not the vibe we were looking for. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful explaining the menu. For drinks, unfortunately, they had no available draft beers, and of the cans, they were out of the amber, had two IPAs, and the “plain” beer they did have was mango flavored. I got the Siren’s Call cocktail which looked great on paper but was extremely unbalanced and not my favorite. For food, we had everything come out at once, which again maybe was our fault, but it took FAR longer than it should have…and came out cold. Something to flag- the portion sizes were super confusing. The Brussel sprouts were an appetizer and a HUGE portion, whereas the lumpia (chicken spring rolls) were also an appetizer but were five small pieces and came out cold. On the bizarre side, the sweet chili dipping sauce came out in a plastic condiment cup instead of a normal cup or ramekin which seemed out of place for everything else that was presented on the nicer side. We ordered the garlic noodles which were good, but not super garlicky and adobo chicken protein we added was dry and not broken up well (some was shredded and some was in clumps). Lastly, we got the tteokbokki (very thick, chewy, mozzarella stick-sized noodles) which was in a fantastic sauce but odd general texture. Uncommon to have an Asian dish with cheese, but overall good flavor. We asked to see the dessert menu and instead we’re brought the check which was an odd way to end the meal. Overall, really disappointed with the drinks and food. Staff was friendly enough, but that’s not going to make up for cold food and lack of flavor.
The things I loved about Boozehounds: 1. Super dog friendly. Not just putting down a plastic deli cup of water, they have a dog specific menu with things like sweet potato and ground chicken or this amazing meatloaf with carrots and peas that my dog ate right up 2. I like my espresso martinis in a very specific way and the bartender listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly that. It was perfect. 3. Our waiter Mateo was charming and friendly and very welcoming. 4. The location is great and the site looks beautiful. A nicer Instagram Palm Springs vibe. But there were several problems that will make our visit the first and only time we will ever go there. First off the food: We ordered the Crudo, the Burrata, the pork belly as appetizers to start… and we were going to order a full meal to follow but then I asked for a side of plain white rice for the pork belly. That rice was a crime against Asian people everywhere. First, it took a long while to get it. The pork belly was cold by the time I received the rice. And there was this weird, dried crust around the outside of the mound of rice— as if it had been sitting out for a long time under a heat lamp or uncovered in a fridge and then warmed in the microwave. Whatever the case, it did not feel fresh. Once you broke this crust, the rice grains themselves were mushy on the outside but with an inner uncooked core. It was inedible. We would’ve forgiven the room temperature Crudo and the basic home cook preparation of the Burrata but after receiving that rice, we knew the rest of the meal was not going to get any better so we asked for the check immediately. The pork belly was good but not demonstratively enough to make us stay. Other things of note: the Pinot my husband ordered was just OK like total grocery store wine and the bathroom was an absolute disgusting wreck. There was no tissue in the stalls and the trash was piled high with dirty paper towels. I’m sure it was cleaned the night before but never looked at again by any staff member throughout the busy day and night. Our reservation was at 8:45pm. Also, while the place was busy-ish there were a lot of empty tables inside and out. We arrived right on time for our reservation and still had to wait a solid 15 minutes to be sat. And when we were sat, they put us in the very back corner of the emptiest part of the patio. Even when the host sat us she said, “wow, it’s very quiet over here.” I can totally understand the restaurant getting even quieter still after that terrible meal.
Unfortunately, our party left this restaurant upset and confused. We were celebrating a bachelorette and the mandatory pre fixe menu was all filler food, such as rice and noodles and tofu. Beware of this business as we believe they scammed us. They up-charge their mediocre dishes x4 if you have a party of 8 or more!! This was not explained to us nor was the prefixe menu given to us prior to our arrival. We see the appeal of the aesthetic but it only goes so far if you’re practicing bad business, dare I say shady business. Their manager, Dennis or Denny, was the general manager and he was extremely hostile to our bachelorette party when we were expressing our concerns. Overall, just avoid this place. Their food doesn’t even justify the price or “vibe.”
They'll posion you and misgender you all in one sitting! On Black Friday we decided to head to Palm Springs to support some small businesses for Christmas shopping. We kicked the day off with lunch. We researched a place that had Gluten Free options and landed on Boozehounds. My child was excited because we hadn't heard of it before and the whole place being themed around dachshunds was exciting because we have our own little doxie poo at home. We all ordered burgers and French fries. When my child's burger arrived, the bun looked like the most magnificent gluten free bun I'd ever seen. Before my child started eating I said to the waitress, "That is the most beautiful gluten free bun we've ever seen. Do you make them fresh in house or purchase them?" She smiled and said she wasn't sure. I explained normally they're dry and crumbly and we were impressed to please tell the chef. My child eats their meal and has to run to the restroom. We assume it was because of the long drive and now lunch on top of that, they were gone for a long time. My partner went to go check on them and we realized the bathroom options are: "male identifying" OR "female identifying". My child has just recently come out as non-binary and struggled through a suicide attempt from bullying at school. My partner finds our child in the "male identifying" bathroom having a horiffic allergic reaction, thank god we went to check on them! They're not only incredibly sick at this point but sad and embarrassed because they were stressed about which bathroom was for them. Palm Springs loves to rave about being a gay inclusive place but some how forgot about trans inclusion along the way. My child ended up being incredibly sick. Days of migraines, vomiting and diarrhea as happens with being glutened. The manager was apologetic but explained that they made an error and never marked the meal as needing to be gluten free. The bun that I inquired about, not gluten free, the fries NOT from that special gluten free fryer they rave about having. My child was poisoned AND misgendered. Then the rest of our holiday weekend was ruined. Your apology means very little at this point. Don't market yourselves as being a gluten friendly restaurant, if your staff doesn't take it seriously. We don't avoid gluten for fun or because it is trendy. It is because it is an allergy. Do you know what eating allergens doe to a body? Second, shame on you for the bathroom labels. Your pictures paired with the language "male identifying" and "female identifying" almost had the attempt at being inclusive but to choose scientific anatomical titles shows just how much you don't understand the LGBTQIA+ community at all. This is an experience that my child is finally psychically recovering from but is still processing mentally. The part that's breaking my heart the most is that my child kept apologizing for not knowing which bathroom to use while we were there. So my review is: careful when heading to Palm Springs for the day, you never know what type of trauma you might incur. If you're trans or have an allergy be sure to skip Boozehounds as they don't take your identity seriously across the board.
