Great 🍔s. Most recently ordered the lamb burger (less carbon footprint than beef) and was pretty solid. All the spices and ingredients a gyro except with a brioche bun. They also have shakes which are good too. I heard the 🍟 are good too (Although I usually 🍔 , 🍟 and milkshake is probably going overboard health wise!)

We LOVE coming here !!! We came by with a large group at somewhat of a short notice this past Thursday 5/25/23 and John and Gigi went out of their way to make us feel at home. Our food was hot, fresh, tasted great, and OMG the chicken is 🔥!!! You have to come here and try the Beast burger. If you’re carb conscious any burger can be made “barefoot” which is lettuce wrap. I must say that I truly am also impressed with the prices. The quality of food and the QUANTITIES of food they serve here could be much more expensive. If you dine in get a “basket” of fries. They’re hand cut kennebec potatoes. This took me back to being a kid growing up in Oakland getting fries from a place called Mexicali Rose. The fries are almost identical. This is a great place for family and friends and you can’t go wrong with food selections. Everything is good everything is fresh everything is DELICIOUS!!! The online menu says take out only but you can now dine in. There’s even seating outside if you wanna enjoys the fresh air. You have count it THIS IS THE PLACE !!!! 10 STAR RATED !!!!! Delicious burgers, gluten-free buns that taste as least as good as regular ones (rare!), and friendly service. The arugula salad is also tasty, and there are always ~4 good local beers on tap. Yes, it's a bit pricey, as others note, but overall it's a great place to have in the neighborhood. Just don't expect a formal sit-down restaurant--this is a place where you order at the register, take a table card, and you foods is brought out. Bus your own dishes at the end or leave a small tip for the staff to do it for you.

Amazing ! Missing home in New Orleans and wanted a chili cheese dog ! Order from Caviar. The food came hot , beautifully done , and the fries we extra crispy like I asked. The chili is homemade and tastes like I cooked it at home ! Great quality and great price for grass fed and organic ! Just because you want something comforting or “naughty” doesn’t mean it has to be filled with chemicals and fake ingredients! Choose this place for great quality in quarantine or out! This is a great spot for burgers. The meat is good and well cooked. The buns are great. And there's plenty of amazing options for toppings. Reasonable prices. The location is in a nice neighborhood, peaceful and quiet.

Had their version of a mushroom and swiss burger, and honestly, it was one of the best burgers I've ever had! Great tasting meat and bun. My friends and I also shared their sampler of onion rings, sweet potato fries, and regular fries, which were also delicious.

Always fast and friendly service, all food is delicious, have yet to try something I didn't like.

Smash burger is the way to go here and the fries are so crispy, ate way more than I had planned to lol. Oh and they have a shake of the week which is a different fun seasonal flavor! Love that they offer a small size for the shake. We’ll be back, love the easy quick weeknight option!

I've been to other burgers joints in the Bay, these places are more in price and less in flavor. The burger was solid, not super stuffed and not too light... just perfect in my opinion. Might have to wait for seating if you want to eat-in, but it's well worth. I would come back to eat here anytime.

Very nice, well crafted burgers. The interior is cheery. Service, terrific. Price? $40.00 for two burgers, two beers, and one order of fries is shocking, at least to me. Still, I often find myself there, especially if I can get someone else to pay!

The burgers are delicious and prepared to order. Great selection of drinks, too (they have beer and wine). Don't skip the onion rings if you can. Yum! Only drawbacks are parking is insane, and it can be a little pricey. Definitely give it a try!

great little spot. a little pricey by virtue of location but the burgers are solid. this time i had the TNT, which was jalapenos and pepperjack. pretty good, but could use a bit more bite. they have one that's bacon and fried egg which is quite nice. i think that's my go to burger there. the garlic fries are good, recommend those. $6 for a shake that size is steep. that should be a $4 shake at most.

Been coming here for years, and I've been impressed with something new every time I went. First it was the Butterfinger milkshake; an overwhelming and memorably sweet milkshake with a remarkably on point flavor. Most recently, however, it was the Impossible burger, which I had with mushrooms and excellent cheddar cheese. It was so incredibly good, I think I'd take it over almost any normal restaurant hamburger, especially when it's this flawlessly prepared. The staff was wonderful and very quick to deliver to our table. They swung by a couple of times to take stuff away when finished which was refreshing in the era of self-cleanup burger joints. Extra effort like this makes a big difference. I have to say also that the midcentury map along the entire wall of Oakland is a stroke of interior design genius as I saw more than a few people admiring it and either pointing to where they live now or where they used to. To have that level of interaction with the decor is really neat from a design perspective. Well done!

A great local spot. Casual counter service. Good burgers, nice clean space. Creative menu for a burger joint, which I really appreciate. I like to sit outside when I can. Small, but decent beer selection. I wish the kids burgers were not always cooked like hockey pucks... (oh God...I think my kid might be a foodie)... But other than that, it's a good place to grab a quick & yummy bite in the neighborhood.

The downside here and partly why knocked a star off the burger is the tomato while perfect in thickness, was OVERLY soft and mealy. Completely threw off every bite. Meat: The other part why I took a star off the order, half the burger was perfectly cooked and just juicy while the other half was overcooked and completely dry. Would have preferred consistency and had it either way. The burger was also 25% ish short of the bun so the last couple bites would've been only bread if I had ate it. Classic burger, hard to go wrong but I expected a little more refinement for 20 dollars.

Good food but they rushed a lunch pickup order, I appreciate the speedy service but the burgers were undercooked and it's not really possible to sautee mushrooms that quickly. I agree with others who have noted that the french fries were hard and warmed over. The meat fresh but the beef oddly tasteless. Probably everything is minimally salted and seasoned. Shakes were good.

I’m hoping the business reads the feedback - I shared with best intentions. I like that they use organic grass fed beef for the burgers - and the Duke burger was really good. The fries that came out where lukewarm which seemed unnecessary for how busy the restaurant was. I also got a bunch of tiny, bottom-of-the-bag fries. There were maybe five fries in the order that were longer than 2 inches long. Looking at other pictures I can see that that’s not typical, and a wound up, throwing at least half of them away. It doesn’t make a good impression. Also, seeing some of the pictures on here of the fried shallots on the burgers makes my experience seem a little below average. It’s the whole experience was closer to three stars, but I’m giving a fourth based on the potential of what it could be - and the pictures that I’m seeing of other people’s experiences there. I’ll try again at some point in the future, and hopefully we’ll have a better experience!

Decent burgers, but a far cry from their labeling as "gourmet". I had the lamb burger, wife had the mushroom and swiss. Although we asked for no pink, they both came out pink. They were juicy but not that flavorful. Coupled with an ok assortment of add ins, it made for a passable burger. Just not one that commands a mid-teens price range. Counter service, serve yourself fountain drinks and a drafty seating area that gets tight when packed, I feel you've gotta love the place to really keep it on your list of burger joints.

Pricey and not worth it in my opinion. I got the "bottom of the barrel" fries. All tiny and hard with a couple good ones mixed in. Disappointed. The milkshake is great but paid $6 for a childs size cup. Won't order again.

Wasn’t very impressed. The meat was cooked medium, which was nice since it’s a thin patty, but it was very chewy - tasted like it had been frozen for a while. The lettuce wrap job was abismal.

Found on app. 5 * review,so wanted to rave the experience. Went in personally and had the worst experience of my life. Order the burger Angus everything on it extra pickles large fry and a good old-fashioned turkey burger with the works took it home frys were cold one after the other and very very hard, felt like I was overcharged. Angus burger with added mushrooms and extra pickles only came with two pickles, very disappointed. Threw more fries away than I ate, bad experience. I felt like I should have checked my order before I left, like I do with fast food drive-thrus. Will never patronize again. Just a total waste of my money. Should have went to Carl's Jr or Nations, at least the experience would have been worth it

I use to love going to this place but the customer service got worse, I am usually a nice person but when it comes to my food order being messed up multiple time I get irritated. I repeated my order 3 times to a lady and she wrote it down came back and with no milkshake, only fries and I asked for my milkshake and she said right away. And I waited a whole hour for that milkshake. Never got it. I payed before hand too. And I didn’t wanna be Petty and ask for a refund so I just left it. Also fries are pretty good but they slowely start to get very crunchy and unpleasing.

This place was highly-touted on check Please by Kid reviewers. Unfortunately I decided to eat here. The hamburger was not as good as a Habit burger. French fries were okay. The milkshake was good but small. Plus the check came to $23.50. Not my idea of average food.
