Awesome and delicious! I was told not to order the Savory Braised Chicken Noodle because the Szechuan pepper would probably make my mouth and throat numb. I ate slowly and it was tingly and delicious! When I drank water it felt icy on my tongue. Love the hand cut chewy noodles. Lots of indoor seating some outside tables. Everyone working there is really nice. And you can watch the chefs do their thing! Fresh and delicious!
This is a really excellent spot in the Pasadena area, they made all of their noodles fresh in-house, you can actually see them doing it in the kitchen which is a kind of an open concept. The noodles were exceptionally delicious and fresh. We also split a beef roll pancake, the meat was very high quality, extremely flavorful and succulent. All of our noodle dishes were very tasty and left us feeling extremely satisfied. The best part is considering the area of Los Angeles it's in, the prices area really reasonable and fair. Definitely a great deal for the quality of the food you're getting.
Had an early experience dining at the newly open Noodle St in Pasadena. My wife and I ordered lamb skewers and beef roll pancake as an appetizer, and spicy beef noodle soup and tomato egg noodle for the main entrees. The lamb skewers were well seasoned, the beef roll was also delicious, with a nice crispy exterior giving away to a bounty of green onion and slices of beef. One note - other Noodle St locations had hoisin sauce, this one did not. The spicy beef noodle soup was very spice laden - in a good way!, and caught my wife and I a bit off guard in the initial taste. But after we recalibrated our taste buds, it was also pretty good. Tender beef chunks and fresh greens, with chewy knife cut noodles. The tomato egg noodles were a good comfort food - a touch of sweetness and salt combining in the egg and chopped tomato. We look forward to coming back and hope this location is around for a long time to come!
I’ve been coming here since they opened and it’s one of my favorite spots in pasadena! Food and service is always consistent and the dining area is very clean/nice. One of the only places in pasadena where you can find quality hand-pulled noodles (of course SGV is close). I really recommend the stir fry w knife noodles, it’s my go-to! Only thing I would pass on is the tofu appetizer, a bit underwhelming. 10/10 come here, you won’t be disappointed!
What a great addition to Pasadena's culinary experience! When I see they serve with a good pair of chopsticks, I know this is going to be good. Lol. A halal restaurant who makes their own noodles! Our first 'visit' was to-go where we ordered spicy noodles and Chinese pancake. It was great to-go but it's better dine-in. Egg with tomatoes over knife cut noodle is a great option for folks who doesn't want some spicy noodles. The noodle is chewy and the eggs with tomatoes go really well with the noodle. Noodles with mince beef sauce is also delicious. It's not very spicy so we asked for more chili oil to get more kick. The noodles have great texture to it. The stuffed beef pancakes were also good and different than the usual dumplings or potsticker. The potatoes rolled shrimp is like any other fried shrimp. They have great service, socially distanced table setting, staff wearing masks, and hand sanitizers readily available for use. Overall a great experience and will be back to try different dishes.
Originally was located in Fullerton and I love it. Even though I haven’t try this one but it must be delicious too. Last night, me and my boyfriend had a great dinner. My order was chicken noddle ( knife cut) was a good amount of meet ( chicken ) and his beef noddle soup was good too! Will be back sometime soon
Great spot for a satisfying noodle meal! The broths were flavorful and the noodles cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly and the restaurant had a cozy vibe. Service was a bit slow during peak hours, but overall it’s a place I’d happily return to.
If I could, I would give 10 stars! All the food is HALAL and incredibly delicious. The atmosphere is elegant, peaceful, and clean, and the staff are very kind. Even though they provided a spoon and fork, when I mentioned that my little daughter wanted to eat with chopsticks but couldn’t manage, they made her an easy-to-use chopstick using rubber and paper — such a sweet gesture! :) I strongly recommend everyone visiting Los Angeles — especially every Muslim — to try this place if they have the chance.
The service was great. We were greeted and seated right away, our server came by immediately. The food was brought out quickly, we appreciated that since we were on our lunch break. My friend was wearing a light colored blouse, and the server offered her a bib. Our soup was steaming hot, flavorful and a very generous portion. A little more beef chunks would have been nice.
This is a great find in downtown Pasadena! We were in the area and decided to pop in because of a craving for some Chinese food. It turned out to be an excellent decision! It was very well-lit and clean inside, a very welcoming and comfortable environment. We were promptly seated and had our order quickly taken as soon as we were ready. There’s a decent amount of seating while still be spaced apart nicely, so it doesn’t feel cramped. The food came out in no time - we both got beef noodle soups, but with different types of noodles. I got the flat style of noodle for mine, which was described on the menu as being similar to fettuccine. I thought they were very chewy and were delicious with the broth. If you want a bit of spice, I thought it had a great kick with each sip of it after adding some chili sauce. I have no complaints. The prices were pretty reasonable for a big bowl of beef noodle soup - about $14. The food itself was chewy and delicious, the service quick and efficient, and the ambiance vibrant and welcoming. I definitely recommend!
We tried the soup here and it tasted really great — warm, flavorful, and nicely seasoned, the kind of bowl that feels comforting and satisfying from the first sip. It had good depth without feeling heavy, which made it very enjoyable. That said, the cucumber salad ended up being my favorite part of the meal. It was crisp, fresh, and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of seasoning to make the flavors pop. It felt light and refreshing alongside the soup, and I kept going back for more. The only downside was that service was a bit slow, so we ended up waiting longer than expected. Still, the food itself was solid, and the standout cucumber salad made the visit worthwhile.
Some of the best beef noodle soup I’ve ever had. Noodles are made fresh right in front of you in the open kitchen. It’s fun to watch them hand stretching, cutting, and cooking everything. The operations are impressive and the flavors are even more memorable. Highly recommend the signature beef noodle soup and the beef roll pancakes. We went twice in one month we liked it so much and I have a feeling it won’t be the last. It’s like transporting to Taipei without leaving Pasadena.
This place is awesome! This is my second time here and it was even better than I remember! I got the noodles with minced beef and our table shared the scallion pancake and garlic string beans both which were absolutely FIREEEE. I can’t wait to come back !!!
This is our first time at this location and the service is consistently excellent. Food serving is huge and delicious. The beef roll pancake is recommended for starters. The spicy beef noodle is a perfectly cook with amazing flavor. We will be back and evening is Halal
I'm not a food critic, but I must say this place truly delivers the authentic experience that Chinese noodles should offer. Having lived in China for many years, I can confidently say this is one of the best noodle spots that captures that same depth of flavor. The Beef Pancake and Spicy Beef Noodles are a must-try. The noodles are handmade on-site, so if you've never seen the noodle-making process in action, this is the perfect place to witness it!
Good quality always. I have been there a few times back in 2023 and 2024. The tastes and quality never changed. Very nice service and environment. Seems like that could serve up to party of 8. But may need to wait during peak hours. Very convenient for a workday lunch if you work nearby.
I come here often with my friends — the atmosphere is always cozy, clean, and welcoming. The staff are friendly and polite, and the service is impressively fast. The food is absolutely delicious — we’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and it’s all been fantastic! I also love that the restaurant is halal — that’s a big plus for me. I highly recommend their traditional soup and wontons — they’re simply outstanding
God i love Noodle St. I especially love their spicy beef soup with knife cut noodles. Chewy, tangy, good portions and quick, efficient service at a decent price. It's the place I go to whenever I'm in Pasadena. Scallion pancakes are tasty but could do with more green onions and a dipping sauce. Tip: ask for half ice for their juice drinks, they load it up.
I googled good Chinese restaurant in Pasadena, found several from Yelp, narrowed down to a couple and decided to try this Noodle St. Overall, the quality is great, I will be very honest, i recommend everything I took pics. The Spring Salad is a bit salty, love the color and the choice of vegetables. The chicken dumpling with chili oil is great. The beef noodles soup with triangle noodle is awesome. Noodle was so bouncy, I love, love, loved the texture, beef was flavourful and super tender, but soup was a bit salty. The beef rolls were the star, o, my lord were they ever great. The crunchiness of the pancake, and the beef was so beefy and flavourful. Only if they have some kinda of dessert..... I would go back any day. Did I mention the prices are very reasonable. BRAVO!!!!
Just happened to be walking by and it smelled so good that I had to try it. I'm so glad I did. The food is very delicious. Great ambience. The kitchen is visible behind a large glass window. You can see how they prepare your food from scratch. Everything is clean. Service is super friendly. Will be returning. Update: returned in September 2024. Food is amazing! Service is top notch. On this visit, I especially enjoyed the lamb skewers. They were perfectly seasoned and cooked. No gemey taste and very tender.
Halal noodle soup with beef! I'm a sucker for it. Excellent food, been here multiple times and it hits the spot every time. Will return for more. I recommend trying the type of noodles you haven't tried before, since they have multiple options. All are excellent so you can't go wrong! Service is always great, getting the opportunity to spice your food up with the chili sauce is definitely a plus for me 😁
September 2024: Stopped by for dinner before watching a football game at the Rose 🌹 Bowl. Ordered the signature beef noodle soup with thin noodles and the tomato egg knife cut noodles. Both were tasty. I normally like to try the signature dish when I try a new place. I thought the tomato 🍅 egg 🥚 dish was much tastier! I liked the thin noodles from the signature dish better because it provided a higher sauce to noodle ratio! Next time will get the tomato 🍅 egg dish with thin noodles! Saw lots of other dishes that I would like to try: beef roll, fried rice, won tons. Service was friendly and attentive.
Ordered the Signature Beef Noodle Rice Noodle Soup with the standard round noodle option. If you do not have a good tolerance with spice, ask for less spice because there is significantly more chili oil than I had expected. However, the taste when mixed with the broth was still very rich without being overpowering. The standard round noodle has a nice chewiness as is but there are other options if you want to have a chewier noodle type. The portion is a good size and the beef slices are cooked very nicely. This is a safe pick if you're not sure or if this is your first visit. Parking in this area is available at nearby parking garages like the Schoolhouse Garage for a fee or street parking too.
I came here with some friends to have lunch. We were attracted by the hot soup looking dishes because it was a cold day. My friends go some of the soups and honestly the meat with vegetables really called my attention. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and it was really good. The meat was supper soft in almost every dish! All the dishes were full of flavor and were super yummy! I ordered a mimosa and my friends ordered a watermelon drink and they loved it. The service here was also great. I hope to come back soon to try out more of their yummy dishes!

I genuinely loved this place. I ordered the Korean BBQ with rice and it was divine. The meat was soft and the rice was cooked to perfection. Sweet but not too sweet. Veggies were yummy. Also liked the beef roll pancake-a little too much cilantro though maybe. That was the main flavor.

Came here with party of 6. Ordered the beef pancakes, lamb kabobs, scallion pancakes n calamari appetizers. Signature beef noodle soup, spicy beef noodle soup, tomatoe egg noodle. They were all fairly good. We spent $180 including 20% cover for party of 6 or more. Fairly expensive for noodles.
Old town is charming in and of itself. The food was delicious. Spicy beef noodle soup and the egg tomato noodles are my favorite. Many recommend the passion tea which was great. It came a bit too sweet for me but I just watered it down myself. No biggie. I would skip the scallion pancake. I love scallion pancake and this place is ok. Nothing great. You really can just go to Trader Joe’s and buy a 5 pack for $3. One here is $7 and it tastes the same as Trader Joe’s. In fact I prefer TJs over this. Everything else I had was great.
All of their menu look so good! But I usually get hot noodles, this time I decided to get cold noodles. I got the spring cold noodle bowl. I also got the cucumber Salad. The salad had so much flavor. And the noodles were just right. Also, i had to request utensils and sauces on the app. Because they don't come included unless u request. I was originally gonna get some other cold noodles but they were sold out. Also I was able to support them on their website. And did pick up. They do a really good job at keeping it real 👏 👌 👍 💯. Will be back again as usual.
The interior is pretty nice. I had low expectations for this due to the name (sorry) but it certainly was better than I expected (and I was super stuffed, too). I would come back here if I’m in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. It’s nice you can watch the chefs and see them cook the food and make the noodles.
Came here based on a recommendation. The food was pretty good, portions were large, and it wasn’t too pricey. The knife-cut noodles were super good. You can see them making the noodles at the back of the restaurant. The service was…weird. We wanted to see if they could do a smaller portion of the tomato and eggs, but they didn’t seem to comprehend our request. They seemed kind of aloof.
We got the beef pancake roll and the stir fried noodles, with tofu and triangle noodles. The scallion pancake was perfectly cooked. The beef was like dry roast beef, so I didn't enjoy this dish very much. I would opt for just the scallion pancakes next time. The stir fried noodles were very good. The sauce was not anything special, but still delicious. The real star were, of course, the noodles. Amazing texture, perfect amount of chew. Place was very clean, modern, and the tables were well-distanced from each other. Each table also had their own bottle of hand sanitizer.
Finally made it to the Pasadena branch today! I’ve been meaning to check this spot out in Old Town, and it didn't disappoint. The interior is really nice and has a great vibe for a casual lunch. The service was super friendly from the moment we walked in, which is always a plus. We shared a few different bowls: • Cold Noodles • Beef Noodle Soup • Tomato Egg Noodles The highlight was definitely the noodles themselves—super chewy and fresh. Everything was really flavorful and hit the spot. Definitely a solid addition to the rotation if you're in the area!
The beef rolls are excellent with a good crunch. Soup could use a little more flavour and meat, but everything arrived at the table quickly. Portions are good. Might order the mala beef soup next time, as the flavour in the original is very subdued, more suited to a Western palate. Noodles had a nice texture but the overall soup needed more salt.
We came here for dinner after a huge multi-day event at the Pasadena convention center so it was packed and there was about a half hour wait. Despite how busy it was, the staff was still super friendly, on top of orders and very attentive, which was impressive. My favorite thing on the menu was the Beef Roll Pancake. It definitely left me wanting more and was so good, I ordered one for takeaway! The flavors of the noodle dishes we had were just okay. Spicy chicken wontons were tasty. I would come back for the beef roll pancake for sure. Overall good spot in Pasadena.
Noodle Street is my go-to spot for a quick and satisfying meal, especially since it’s just a block away from me. The noodles are consistently solid—I’ve never had any complaints. One of my favorite items is the beef wrap, which is always flavorful and hits the spot.
It’s my first time in this noodle house. The interior is clean and bright. The servers were polite and efficient. I found the signature beef noodle very flavorful. My family loved their bone-in rib rice noodles and lamb skewers. The beef roll pancake was crispy and very filling. We will definitely come back and try other things in the menu.

While passing by we decided to give this place a try. Waitress was very nice, friendly, and answered all my questions. We ordered the fried calamari and signature beef noodle soup, everything was delicious. 1 place of soup can feed two people. Place is clean, bright and welcoming.
Good spot for hot noodles. Inside is clean and bright. The spicy beef noodle are delicious but could use more heat for my taste. Get some noodles + a side if you want to get full. Service is good. Friendly staff. There's street parking or some pay structures within a block or two.
Signature Beef Noodle: 5/10 Spicy Beef Noodle: 5/10 Lamb Skewers: 4/10 Scallion Pancake: 3/10 Beyond mystified by how hopping this place was. Maybe because it’s new? Living in the Bay Area ruined me for life? Everything was a little below average. It was food, it was edible, it was an okay portion, but the flavors were not good. Both broths were eh. Noodles were alright. The scallion pancake was flavorless. The lamb skewers were especially strange: they were all spice, no flavor on the outside, and when you got the meat flavor, it was just eh. As far as ambiance, nonexistent with the bright, overhead lights and loud, cafeteria vibe. Not to be repeated.
I don't understand why this place is so well rated. We went in and ordered beef noodle soup and beef wrap. The beef noodle soup was average. Not sure what type of beef was used but it was very tough. Usually the brisket or shank is tender but not the beef there. We ordered hand pulled noodle and knife shaved noodle. It was alright. Nothing to write home about. The Broth was clear, light with lots of fresh herbs. It was good but boring. It is missing some flavors from lack of herbs. Overall, the beef noodle was disappointing given the price. The beef roll was better than the noodle. The pancake was light and crispy. A bit skimpy with the beef and the sauce was too sweet. For $12 a roll I would expect more meat. Overall a disappointing experience. I would not recommend. Came out to approx $20 per person for a bowl of noodle and shared beef roll. I had a really good seafood dinner with hot and sour soup, shrimp, squid, beef, pork that same day for similar price per person.

My mom and I got slightly sick after eating the rib with rice noodle soup. We thought the meat tasted off while eating but shrugged it off. Never had this issue at the Arcadia location.
