My favorite place for poke. Big portions and I especially like that I can do half brown rice/ half salad. Crab is added at no extra charge, great selection of fresh fish, sauces and toppings. Even the small size is generously portioned. I can almost always find seating available but they've also added outdoor sidewalk seating.
My favorite thing about this place is the atmosphere, it's so cute and often not overly crowded. Perfect quiet place to have lunch with friends. The bowls are delicious and even the small bowl sizes are a large portion.
Big portions, quality food, very solid price point! This is my go-to lunch spot.
Tasty food and good service at a reasonable price. No complaints:) we will be to poke salad bar!
Super solid poke spot - the fish is fresh and they give you a HUGE portion for the price. They charge extra for certain random toppings which I didn’t love, but overall the value for the price was very high. The staff was slow and seemed overwhelmed, but that’s my only complaint.
The poke here is always delicious and tastes super fresh! The portions are stellar too. I usually get a medium, half white rice half salad, with ahi, albacore, and shrimp, and both sesame shoyu sauce and eel sauce. It's so good!
Oh my goodness. This place is actually the best poke bowl place I have ever been to in my entire life. My cousins and I all agree that every single other poke place we have ever been to has not a sprinkle on this place. We ordered our first ever poke bowl here and I wish I could live in there because no other poke bowl ever came close to the flavor and quality of this place. Please come here as often as you can because I regret not coming here as often as possible
I come here for lunch often. It sometimes gets really busy, but they're always moving the line really quickly. Ingredients are always fresh and delicious. They have a really tasty brown rice that's mixed with quinoa. It makes for a really good base to whichever toppings and fish you decide to get
Absolutely amazing! My new favorite lunch go to, I just wish there were more places like this where I live in Washington. Great fresh fish, fast service and great customer service as well. The vibe of this Poke restaurant was great, clean and organized and had great music playing to set the tone.
Poke Salad Bar, we could become very good friends. I love your generous protein portions and the way your Medium bowl is more like a Large makes me feel valued instead of duped in expensive California. You're delicious and you offer outdoor seating where I can wait with my dog to people watch while my boyfriend places our order inside (No Dogs Allowed!). Our friendship could end up dangerous for me and I may end up spending tons of money to hang out with you instead of just cooking at home. Let's see where this goes...
Angel is the best!! He’s super sweet, and seriously hooked me up/ been coming here for years. Food is so tasty and affordable :)
This is my third time eating here. It’s become one of my regular stops when I’m in Pasadena for work. The food is fantastic. Super fresh. Great quality. The workers are great with recommendations and have given me wonderful options each time. I do wish the restaurant was a little more updated inside, but that’s a super minor criticism. Eight out of 10 would recommend.
First and only place I've had Poke at and I don't think other places will be as good as it is here. The service is awesome and all the employees I've come across are super helpful in explaining the process of making your bowl. The salmon and spicy tuna are super fresh and clean. The salad and half and half is my favorite thing to get and the seaweed salad is delicious. Every time I have a Poke from PSB, I am in heaven and happy. It always hits the spot. I highly recommend it.
Pictured: small bowl, white rice. Seaweed, cucumber, salmon, albacore. The food here is delicious! The rice, seaweed, and albacore was flavorful, and the salmon and cucumber tasted super fresh. I feel like I got my money's worth. Would absolutely recommend.
Super generous portions, friendly employees, and a tasty, customizable - what’s not to like? Stopped by here for a casual early dinner while in Old Town, and there was only one group ahead of ahead so ordering was quick. The medium size here could easily be a large at another place. The fish was fresh and I appreciated avocado being an included topping. There’s a good amount of indoor seating. Credit cards accepted. They have other options like Korean dishes if you’re not looking for poke. Self-service water.
I've been living in the area for around 2 years and a half, but it had not occurred to me to visit this place yet. I came on a somewhat busy Saturday afternoon, and despite the stress of the lunch rush, both Mac and Jessa were helpful and took care of us in such a polite, professional, and kind manner. The options are endless, and the large bowl, which is what me and my friend went for, is truly LARGE. It almost feels like two regular bowls at any other poke shop. I also liked that they have spam musubi, and if you check in with the Yelp app, you can get a free small bowl of miso soup, which pairs super well with, and is a great side dish for the poke bowl. All of the ingredients feel extra fresh and nourishing, and it feels like a great meal experience overall.
Came here for the first time and it was great! The line was pretty long when I walked in, but it moved really fast. The staff was very friendly, fast and efficient. The poke bowl itself was delicious. The quality of the protein was great! Overall, a really cool spot. I would recommend this place to anyone.
It’s usually quite hard to distinguish Poke places from one another because they tend to offer such a homogeneous good in such a homogeneous environment. This one, somehow managed to stand out for us! Their selection was diverse and rich, their portion size very generous and service was fast and efficient. Probably one of the best Poke bowls I’ve ever had!
This place is great. The food is yummy and the staff is friendly and efficient. To order, there is a multi step process. First, you select your size and base. Then your toppings that are mixed in. Next you choose your proteins - you can mix and match. After that, you select your tops that actually go on top. Finally, you pick your sauce(s) and the finishing touches. Bowls start at 13.99 and include 2 scoops of protein. Each scoop is about 2+ ounces. A medium has 3 scoops and costs $2 more. A large has 4 scoops and cost $4. Bases include: white rice, quinoa/brown rice, salad, half & half, or chips. Mix ins include: crabmeat, cucumber, onions, seaweed, pineapples, sweet corn, jalapeños, cilantro, or everything. Proteins include: ahi tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, tofu&avocado, scallop, albacore (seared), scallops (small ones appear to be in a mayo), octopus, or shrimp. Sauces include: chipotle mayo, yuzu ponzu, sesame shoyu, wasabi mayo, sweet chili, or sweet eel. Tops include: edamame, green onion, ginger, wasabi, sesame seed, furikake (seaweed and seed mix), crunchy onion, or everything. You can also add spice level. I ordered: Large bowl, white rice, cucumber, cilantro, extra pineapple, and seaweed salad, ahi as well as tofu&avocado, yuzu ponzu, ginger, and furikake. It was $17.99. The fish was fresh. I was actually concerned about this at first because upon entering, I could smell the seafood. But, I’m happy to note that the fish was very mild- not strong at all. The toppings were also fresh, and you can ask for extra if you want more than usual. The cilantro was all green, nothing was wilted. The avocado was perfectly ripe. The sizing is really good. I mean- I barely ate 1/4 of my rice and I still have some cucumber, seaweed, and avocado to much on later as a second meal. My one complaint is the yuzu ponzu. I don’t taste anything citrus, so I’m not sure what happened. I saw her mix the sauce in with my fish, but it isn’t very flavorful. I taste very mild, almost like watered down low sodium soy. It may just be that today’s sauce wasn’t made well, since I’ve never been there before I have nothing to compare it to. I will definitely be back to try it again and see if there is more citrusy flavor. My rating is actually a 4+/5- purely because of the sauce.
super yummy and quick! plenty of seating area and right next to sunright boba🧋a small bowl is plenty to fill 1-2 people (pictured below). i got a brown rice and quinoa base with salmon and ahi tuna. toppings are unlimited as well as sauces. staff is nice and friendly and prices are about average for poke. definitely recommend :)
This place has incredibly generous portion sizes(so much larger than it looks in the pictures), and lots of seating. We loved it!
This is one of the best poke spots around. Really fresh large chunks of fish and they're very generous with their scoops. Check in on Yelp for a free miso soup.
I love this place. They are always so generous with their portions that it makes me worried about their margins 😅 The octopus with spicy sauce is delicious. Writing this makes me crave it all over again!! Perfect outdoor movie meal 🙌🏼
Ordered the small with half white rice and salad, all toppings, ahi tuna and albacore, and the remaining toppings with yuzu ponzu sauce. Portions have remained the same, plentiful, satisfying, and delicious. Can get a little busy on weekday evenings but 7 is still a good time. Outdoor seating is available though you'll have to mind any passersby and the traffic. Yes they do seemed short staffed but the team was very efficient in getting our order from start to finish.
Great portion, fresh food, though it’s a bit slow but I can tell they are trying their best. The staff are very young :)
Poke me silly because this one will tickle your willy! If you you have a friend name willy that is. Otherwise, you'll really pojilly enjoy this place Mr Hister! Great stuff!
Really good spot for all the poke lovers, good choice of proteins, and the prices are affordable, definitely will be coming back, staff is friendly.
My favorite poke place in Pasadena! Poke Salad Bar is a cute spot in the heart of Old Town Pasadena! They offer small/medium/large bowls with various toppings and seafood options for your bowl. The price is pretty standard for poke bowls, and the restaurant is located in a fun/vibrant area with all the shopping, boba, and desserts you could ever ask for. If you're looking for delicious poke, look no further than Poke Salad Bar!

Walked by so many times and never got a chance to try. Their lunch special onigiri is a great deal, 2 for $6. Pretty tasty food, relaxed vibes, quick service and friendly staff
Came from Bay Area and got my friends took me around for good food! Their poke is so good! Very large portion even for “small” bowl. I love the salmon and the scallops!

The food was good - I tried the small portion of brown rice with a serving of shrimp and salmon. The sesame shoyu sauce was delicious! And the toppings were great! The service staff for that day were not fantastic though, perhaps it was just that day but the staff that served me were somewhat grouchy and curt. I would give the place another try.
Love poke salad and this place is good, located in the nice old town Pasadena . Food is good and fresh, the place is nicely decorated too

Great food, solid portions. Will definitely be back!
This place used to be great. The fish was fresh and delicious and the staff helpful. However, recently, prices have gone up even though new competitors are around. Quality has also suffered with oldish sinewy tuna every now and again. Other little things include not shredding pineapple anymore. I'm not big on giant cubes of it overpowering the other ingredients. I still go, but things aren't as good as they used to be.
I used Door Dash as I was staying in a hotel room in a foreign to me location. Food arrived with no utensils. How was I expected to eat my meal? My food was good but I had to ask the front desk person to find me a fork.
Very inconsistent. Sometimes you get good portion, sometimes they cheap out and you get barely any fish, but full bowl of rice. I have been going to this branch for couple of years now, but lately it is getting worse and worse.. prices are going higher and portions are going smaller..
the portions are pretty big, but the food didn’t taste great. The fish doesn’t taste fresh like other reviews say. And they accidentally adding a different protein to my bowl. Maybe a plus to some but I don’t like octopus. Lacking flavor :/

This place sucks, I was there on 9.7.25 and they skipped us, a family of three a took care of other customers. They couldn't give us a reason why. Had been there before but not going back ever.
Good fresh food, but the service is lacking severely. I've been coming to this place for years and lately the servers have literally become a joke. They hire teenagers with zero experience who for the most part have no idea what they are doing, and in addition to that smother you in their teen attitude and you end up paying for all the things that are wrong in this world. A couple of servers are good, but sadly they're never around. So, 80% of the time you can count on getting your order completely wrong with only traces of the actual food in it. (DO NOT order online. Always watch them prepare your order. I've been burnt many times for trusting them to do it right). Their miso soup half the time tastes like water, so you have to ask them to open up the machine to make sure the bag with miso paste is not empty, which it very often is. And then you have to tell them how to work the machine, because they have no clue and you end up with a bowl that's only a quarter full. The worst of them all is Erin. This teen is clearly on a mission to NOT feed the world so she puts barely anything in your order and if you ask to correct it, you get an eye roll and maybe one more leaf of salad. God forbid you ask for something else. That literally initiates a tantrum in her and all the other servers in the shop run to hide in the back. I asked to talk to the manager once, which she refused to do for solid 10 minutes. Eventually one of the teen-managers came out (Macy Silver), who sadly wasn't that much better. She essentially just refused to look into the issue and told me to take my order and get lost. I've also noticed that nobody goes there anymore. This place used to be packed. Now, not so much. Barely any people there, even during peak lunch hours. One time I came during lunch, but the door was closed and no customers were inside. I knocked on the window and Erin (surprise!) and another teen were inside and ignored me for 15 minutes. Eventually Erin came out and acted like she had just heard me. So apparently, when there's no one senior in the store, she just locks the door to deter anyone from coming inside. Anyway, I'll be looking elsewhere for my lunch needs from now on, too. Clearly, this shop is gonna get closed up soon. Too bad, but even good food can't save atrocious customer service.
Employee London was rude. Customer service was a hassle for them. All that trouble for mid food.
It’s a really cute place!! But, the food is not good at all. I got food poisoning here and was throwing up for the entire night. Do not recommend!
