Located on the north side of Green Street. Street parking only. Next to L’moon Creamery. It’s been years since I’ve had authentic Sichuan food. When I think of the ingredients and flavors in mind, they bring it to life here in Pasadena. For such a small restaurant, they have quite the number of items available on the menu. Only a handful of tables inside. “Street food” is meant to be eaten quickly or on the go. The food comes out fast. So even if there’s not a lot of seating, the turnover is high. I was very happy to try this place and I will definitely be coming back to try more of their food.
Electric, instantaneous, efficient These are 3 words I would use to describe the service at Sichuan street food. I have long wanted to go and I finally dined here. With my family we ordered a myriad of dishes, each one was authentic, flavorful, and of course delicious. Some of the best Chinese food I can recommend you. I recommend for sure the Dan Dan noodles, the egg fried rice, the cumin lamb, diced chicken with spicy chilies, and green beans. 10/10
Every single dish is yummy, highly recommend this restaurant for food! Food is delicious&fresh and service is great and the atmosphere is clean. Anyway, this is must-have at Pasadena!
Love this place. A humble little Sichuan restaurant. I go here if I want solid Sichuan food but don't want to drive all the way to SGV.
This Sichuan restaurant in Los Angeles is amazing , you can even choose your spice level! The chef’s skills are top-notch, and every dish gives me that warm feeling of being back home. I came a bit late today, so the bullfrog was sold out, but luckily they still had pork kidney, which was fantastic. Great service too , highly recommended!
This is a small Chinese restaurant that feels authentic in its food and atmosphere. There are some interesting dishes (such as bullfrog and kidney) that I have not been brave enough to try even though I’m Asian. But we have tried the stir fried green beans, orange chicken, diced chicken with spicy chiles, fried shrimp with salted egg yolk, and their homestyle fried noodles (my kids’ favorite) and everything tasted good. If you like spice, this is the place to go, but if you don’t like spice, you can usually order dishes with mild or no spice. Prices are reasonable. The staff are not overly friendly, but attentive enough and get the job done. They play cooking videos from Vietnam on the TV that my kids love.
Amazing Chinese cooks. I ordered a fish dish 304 and a veggie/preserved meat dish 511. The fish is fresh and cooked just right. The preserved meat in the veggie dish is also good quality and a bit sweet. Both dishes are flavorful and NOT salty. Amazing food! Lots of Chinese customers as well.
The Sichuan food here is absolutely phenomenal! Folks are hardworking, absolutely worth visit! The spicy level is Sichuan level though, be mindful of that when you pick your spicy level:D
Sichuan is a province in SouthWest China, and their cuisine is known for bold and spicy flavors derived from garlic and chili. This spot provides very authentic sichuan food. The dishes are vibrant and spicy. We got tons of plates and loved them all. After ordering we saw other’s orders and had to add them. And it was the right call. We got the kung pow shrimp as spicy as they make it, and it was great! We got chicken with diced chilis, loved it! We got white rice, and dumplings with Napa cabbage and pork (included a great fish dip sauce), and both were excellent. We got the dry fried green beans and the twice cooked pork. Both excellent! The staff is awesome. Really above and beyond! They treat you like family. And they play close attention and go out of their way to make your experience special. The kitchen is there with you, and it’s awesome to watch the chefs/team make the delicious food. The atmosphere is amazing and vibrant. Matching the food! Parking is pretty easy in Green (one way) or on the side streets. Tons of great dessert options close too! Highly reco! Go early, they fill up fast! Too go seems like a great option too.
Tiny restaurant serving big flavor, this place seems very authentic and the food is great. A nice option for lots of Chinese and Sichuanese classics. The chef cooks the food in a fiery wok with big flames. Not much seating but nice and cozy. They also tell you on the menu which dishes have Sichuan peppercorn so you can avoid if you don’t like the numbing spicy.
Finally, a spot in Pasadena where we can enjoy authentic Szechuan cuisine without trekking all the way to SGV! We've just tried this new restaurant, and I'm impressed with the variety and quality of dishes they offer. The service was on point too—bilingual servers made ordering a breeze, ensuring we knew exactly what we were getting. Great location, especially if you're around PCC and in the mood for some good authentic Chinese food. Will definitely visit again.
LOVEDDD the Dan Dan noodle sauce - I feel it’s very authentic and I would love to go back again!

Super authentic and delicious Sichuan cuisine hidden away in a tiny space. One of my favorites in LA! Everything tastes homemade from scratch and made with love and care. They also adjusted the flavor to fit the modern palate, reducing the sodium and grease for a clean aftertaste. All of their dishes are great, and the Bullfrog collection & Pig Trotter Soup are exceptional. Service is quick and efficient: the servers are very responsive and understand the customers’ need well. Highly recommended
We have been on the hunt for great Sichuan food in LA, and this place absolutely delivered. We ordered the diced chicken with Sichuan pepper and the spicy cumin lamb. The lamb completely stole the show. Bold, fragrant, and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be back to try more dishes. I also loved the green tea passionfruit !
Great Sichuan street food in Pasadena! This spot at 1035 E Green St serves authentic Szechuan dishes with bold chili flavor and that signature numbing spice. Food is fresh, spicy, and full of flavor. Fast, friendly service and a convenient Green Street Pasadena location. Highly recommend if you’re craving Sichuan food in Pasadena.
Food and staff were great. Brought my family of 7 and the staff accommodated us and sat us upstairs with only a brief wait considering the place was busy. We ordered about 9 dishes and each one that came out kept on getting more and more delicious with the perfect amount of spice. The servers were prompt and helpful with a friendly attitude which made for a pleasant dining experience so a big thank you to them. Everyone in our group really loved the food and we will be definitely coming back. Only small complaint was that the beer could have been colder, but wow looking forward to returning for another meal.
Excellent spicey food. The chicken fried rice was not spicy yet delicious, not greasy the chicken seemed to have a sweet light batter it was the best fried rice I've had. The place is small but hopping. We sat upstairs and the waitress carried all that food up the steps, she really hustled. I wanted to go back again but ran out of time.

The service here is excellent, asking for serving room temperature water, which suits the Asian preference and is gentler on the stomach compared to ice water. I ordered the cumin lamb and dry fried string beans, and was impressed by how quickly the food arrived. The dishes are authentically Sichuan, packed with flavor and expertly prepared, although it’s a bit on the oily side (which is pretty much expected). I chose the 2nd hottest level and it is indeed spicy. Watching the chefs work with the huge wok fire was a treat— it’s thrilling to see traditional Chinese cooking techniques in action, utilizing high heat for a short cooking time to perfect each dish.
Pretty Good Authentic Sichuan Food. Worth coming back to. Would recommend the La Ji Ji Thousand Pepper Chicken and Garlic Chinese Leaf Lettuce. Though they are still trying to figure out the service.

We stumbled upon this really great “street” Sichuan food and decided to wait in line with the rest of the crowd. The place is small, but definitely worth the wait in line. Even after we sat down and ate people were still waiting outside to order food and eat inside. My biggest complaint was all the plastic utensils you had to eat with. It really made the food taste horrible. You cannot eat soup with chopsticks. I’d gladly pay a few extra dollars and eat off of real silverware. Had it not been for the plastic garbage we had to use I would have given the place all 5 stars.
We decided to try this restaurant in Pasadena because of its impressive 4.9 Google rating, which is rare for any restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the hype. As the saying goes, “the higher the expectation, the greater the disappointment” — and that was true here. Both dishes we ordered, the Sichuan Dry-Fried Green Beans with Beef and the Stir-Fried Lamb with Cumin, were bland and lacked any spiciness. We even found ourselves questioning whether this was truly Sichuan cuisine. It’s hard to understand how this place has such a high rating. We will not be returning, and for anyone who wants to try it, I’d strongly recommend lowering your expectations before going.
