Was Kunden über Tarantino's Pizzeria sagen
Tarantino's Pizzeria is a small, family-owned, cash-only Italian restaurant in Pasadena known for its traditional-style pizza and friendly service. The Bianca bread, Pepe salad, and The Works pizza are frequently praised. Some found the carbonara underwhelming due to overpowering onions.

2 slices with pepperoni and side salad for $11 is a great deal. Add that the food is delicious and it's got to be one of the best lunch deals in Pasadena. The dough is crisp under toppings but soft at the crust end. Will be back.
Oh so good! The food was beyond amazing!!!! The place was very busy but the food and service were so worth it! I highly recommend this place! The plate of food we were served was huge! I had enough for two full meals of leftovers!!! They even give Starburst instead of mints at the end!!
We've lived in San Gabriel Valley for over 10 years, and somehow we never heard about this little Italian joint until recently. I had the angel hair with mussels and it was very tasty. The pizza crust is a bit thicker than we like, but the sauce is zesty. They sell beer by the pitcher. Busy place. We will definitely be back!
This is some of the best Italian food ever!! Everything is so delicious that I can’t pick a favorite dish. The Cesar salad has some of the best dressing I’ve ever had, the Bianca bread is fresh and delicious, and the white pizza has amazing crust. It was well worth the drive to Pasadena! I believe this place has the same owners or is in someway affiliated with the old Papalucci’s in Long Beach. Please come back! We miss your food. ☺️
I hardly write reviews because I tend to forget, but this place is so memorable it deserves 5 stars! I live about an hour and a half away and was in this area for a personal matter. Stumbled upon Tarantino’s and I’m so glad I did! The pizza is absolutely delicious and the staff is so friendly! I would definitely drive that hour and a half again to visit this place, it’s so worth it!
Came here by chance and it was well worth it!!! The food was absolutely delicious! We had a shared salad, garlic knots and a pizza(Tony’s). We Would definitely came back here. The staff was amazing, very welcoming. They were fast and gave us options as we told them it was our first time here, even gave us some suggestions for next time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone I know.
I am so happy we found this place. Service was great and the crust on the pizza was fantastic.
Good pizza. We had the tucci special. Nice very crust. Not the best we've ever had but still very good. Shrimp a little overdone but good flavor. Lots of garlic - it helps you not treat too much! Ha! Very nice service. The bathroom is okay. We picked up to go to keep traveling! Size in photo is large.
My favorite Italian restaurant in Pasadena! I I highly recommend the combination salad and garlic rolls! Henry special is realk good and linguini and clams! Pizza is awesome! Bianca bread is simple and delicious!!!!! I've been going since 1988. Food is always consistent! I'm never disappointed!!!!
Fantastic! Friendly service, such a realistic friendly 'family' feel. Food is fresh, simple, and flavorful. The salads and eggplant pasta is chef kiss! Do not sleep on this place. Also the mussels were great
Tarantino’s on Green Street has become one of our go-to spots in Pasadena. The Works pizza was spot on: crispy crust with a generous layer of pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives, onions, and peppers. Everything was balanced and hearty, and the crust had just the right bite to hold it all together. The Quinceñera pasta is still the dish I keep coming back for: creamy, rich, with tender chicken, mushrooms, and jalapeños that give just the right kick. We’ve nearly worked our way through the pasta menu, but this one is easily my favorite. Service is always excellent, and our waiter was especially friendly and gave great recommendations. The dining room is narrow, casual, and usually busy, but it has that old-school charm with photos covering the walls that make it feel warm and familiar. Parking can be a little tricky with the one-way streets on Green and Hudson, so it’s worth planning ahead. Tarantino’s continues to be a spot that delivers consistently great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a reason we keep coming back.
Absolutely love this place. I’ve been coming here for many years(remember the Colorado Blvd location?) the spinach Florentine is delicious full of garlic and olive oil. The Pepe salad has chunks of tomato, cucumber and all the wonderful things of all of the salads mixed together the garlic knots can’t go wrong pepperoni pizza. The best you ever had 10 out of 10 totally recommend this location. They have indoor and outdoor seating a restroom and free parking on the street. There’s paid parking in the back. Miguel gave us great service. He miss Pepe and always will RIP my friend.
Tried their pizza delivery for the first time today and was blown away. We all loved the fresh delicious dough, pepperoni and juicy mushrooms! Will definitely be ordering again ❤️
Great place in Pasadena for classic homestyle Italian food. Prices are fair in regards to the portion size and all of their dishes have a distinct homemade flair that enhances their flavors even further.
We always walk by Tarantino's when we walk our dog and it's always bustling and crowded so we finally picked up a pizza to go the other night. There's a reason they are crowded. The pizza was so yummy! I was craving white pizza so we got sal's and added mushrooms and sausage. It was very good. The dough was very tasty so I ended up eating everyone's crust and was too full lol They only take cash so make sure you're prepared. There is plenty of parking on green street. I'm looking forward to eating at the restaurant next time. The ambience is so nice and cozy. Perfect neighborhood pizza spot
I had carbonara, Cesar salad and tirimasu. I enjoyed the carbonara, but wish they didn't have onions in the sauce, it overwhelmed the flavor. I picked out the onions the best I could. I had fabulous tirimisu in Rome, can never match that. I loved the Cesar salad, the server added a good amount of anchovies, I would specify less sauce in the future.
If you love traditional-style pizza, there’s no better place to get it. This place is like a hole in the wall, barely noticeable and quite small. I just loved how traditional every dish was, from pasta to pizza. And talking about pizza, oh my goodness… it’s to die for. I cannot wait to get back there!!!
Food and service is always excellent, just remember to stop by an atm before as this place is cash only.
Delicious Italian eatery! The Pepe salad is so great, I’d go back for that alone! Shrimp pizza was great too. Complimentary bread and a small salad come with pasta plates. I had the baked ziti which was good too. The restaurant is on the small side but has a a cozy, family owned feel. Parking may be a little tough as you have to find a spot in the street, so allow some time for that. High chairs available. This place is CASH only, come prepared. PpThis is a great hole in the wall restaurant and it’s hard to go wrong on anything you order, definitely recommend!
I ordered The Works pizza (large for $22.00). It was ready perfectly on time and delicious. The cashier gave me red pepper and parmesan cheese for my order. Very good service and great pizza. Given that the medium pizza was $20 it makes sense to me to order the large size for $2 more. Enjoy.

Absolutely amazing pizza! Very friendly staff and you feel like you are somewhere in Europe enjoying a nice pizza. Quote from my friend “Omg it does not taste like cardboard!!!”. Very nice pizza. I bit pricier then your standard but very much worth it!

My son and I traveled to Pasadena to see Oasis in concert a few months ago….and we are still raving about Tarrintino’s! Make sure you get the pizza and salad. Never had better. Our server was wonderful, too. Remember to bring cash - but if you forget, they have an ATM in the back of the dining area. Phenomenal experience, we can’t wait to go back!
Our meal was delicious with big portions! Our servers were so friendly and attentive. We'll be back for sure!
Cash Only! I absolutely love this place. It's always busy and upbeat. The staff is very attentive and equally nice. The food is amazing. I live their pizza with grandma's sauce. The green bell peppers in the sauce give it the extra deliciousness other sauces lack. My wife loves their salads and their marinara is flavourful. Screw Flanders.
Tarantino's is absolutely fantastic! I've been dining there (and their previous sister restaurant Papalucci in Belmont Shore) for 28 years! I've eaten their food literally hundreds of times. Pizza is excellent, spicy chicken pasta - also excellent. Garlic knots, the best I have ever had! And their romano cheese is the best as well, I sprinkle it on everything. The entire menu is delicious; old school, flavorful, quality recipes that haven't changed one bit in 28 years. Service is great, staff are wonderful and friendly, and the ambiance is small, cozy and full of character. If you live in Pasadena or are just visiting, put Tarantino's on the top of your list. I've eaten at every Italian restaurant in Pasadena - all are great - but Tarantino's has a special place in my heart. Dan, the one who started this incredible place, is the man! Stop by Wednesday or Thursday evenings to see him. Awesome guy.
Cash only. Best pizza in Pasadena. Old school, small, family owned, pizza restaurant vibe, one long shared table, with about 12 small 4 seater tables on either side. Their paisano pasta is amazing, but my stomach can't take it anymore acid wise. Great garlic rolls. I go there for the pizza. Med crust thickness, slightly doughy, but not oily. Good ingredients.
★★★★★ Tarantino’s Vegan is honestly one of the best food spots in Vegas — vegan or not. I’ve eaten here multiple times, and every single dish has hit perfectly. The flavors are strong, the portions are solid, and you can tell the food is made with real passion. What I love most is the consistency and the people. The team here treats you like family — warm, welcoming, and they genuinely care about the experience. That alone makes a difference. If you’re in Vegas or even driving through, put this place on your list. One of my favorite vegan Italian spots, hands down. Must-tries: vegan parm, pastas, pizza — honestly everything I’ve had has been delicious.

2nd. Time, No flulke this place is the bomb... shoosh don't tell anyone, just go! Very authentic and delicious. 1st. Time, A really nice meal. Pizza, salad and pasta. All very well done and tasty. I am a picky Pizza snob and this place did it for me! Great topping and a good texture and taste on the crust. We will be back for sure when we are in town.
First time here and ordered the Philly cheese steak, it was good but disappointed on the quantity of the meat. I was expecting a footlong loaded with meat but instead got an 8 inch with very little meat, my last few bites were all bread. So next time I'll come and checkout the pizza, hopefully I could come back and update my experience to a 5 star. All & all I liked the vibe.
Went here for my Birthday dinner. The chicken parm was great, but the customer service was lacking in my opinion. I would go back because their pizza looks great, but definitely to-go. Cash only!! Retro decor. Definitely a vibe.
This is a tiny cash only neighborhood Italian restaurant. They make an award winning Florentine pizza with delicious sautéed spinach and a blend of special cheeses. The tutte mare pasta is well balanced and delicious. The fettuccine with clams was savory. The cheese lasagna was overwhelming with its thick layers of ricotta. Do not miss the garlic rolls, but ask the server to minimize the olive oil.
Salad was delicious. Made sure i finished even just the sauce with the bread. Pesto pasta was good too. Pizza was ok or.maybe we ordered the wrong flavour. Calzone dessert was just ok too. Shouldnhave ordered the tiramisu. Staff are all pleasant and helpful.

As many others have said, this is a cash only establishment which is very inconvenient. I found the food to be okay, but certainly not worthy of the its near 5 star rating. I was disappointed to learn they do not have ranch dressing, which is one of my favorites with pizza. The crust was excellent, but the rest of the pizza was a sloppy mess. The garlic was not distributed even close to evenly over the pizza, resulting in many bites without a hint of garlic, and others akin to biting a raw clove. I will not be returning.
This place is cash only first of all, just as an FYI. The food was average to mediocre at best. The carbonara that we got had burnt pancetta and onions that just dominated the flavor. The pizza was lack luster in flavor, sauce, and crust. I would recommend elsewhere if I had friends visiting and doubt I'll be back.

Everyone has opinions of pizza. Apparently some people like theirs. We didn't. We ordered 2, a Vegetarian and a Pepperoni. The toppings were generous and fresh. The problem for us was the crust. It was was thick, bland and almost dry. On the plus side it was crisp on the bottom, but there was so much of it, that the taste of the toppings are lost, especially the sauce. If it had no sauce, I wouldn't have noticed a difference. A few other oddities. Cash only. Why??? The cashier calculated my bill on a basic calculator and then entered the total on the cash register. Not a problem but kind of odd. The price difference between 14 inch and 16 inch are almost nonexistent. And the size difference isn't that meaningful either. On the plus side, the place seemed very clean. Based on our toppings, I suspect that their salads are fresh and generous.
Had a terrible experience while dining in for lunch with my autistic son. He was discriminated against for being autistic by Julio an employee. My son was not disrupting anyone he simply was highly stimulated and that seemed to bothered Julio who brought it to my attention. I was in complete shock that he stated my son was a danger to customers passing by or dining at restaurant. Only a person with complete ignorance could say such a thing. I asked to speak to Manager Carlos but he was not at restaurant. However , later on this evening I was able to speak to him and explained our traumatizing experience. I asked that changes be made and all staff be educated on how to treat All Customers with respect and equality. Truly hope this brings awareness to others when dining at this restaurant. I truly hoped at the moment this occured I could have built the courage to stand up to this individual and advocate on my behalf of my son but I was so upset I couldn't find the words at that moment nor did I want to cause a scene with 2 other families dining in. The manager did state I could call if I visited again for lunch. However , no lunch could ever make me forget the discrimination we faced. I only hope this post brings change to staff and awareness to anyone reading this.
I was recommended this place by a colleague, I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy. If you like it you like it, if you've had really great pizza (like casa Bianca), then don’t try this… you’ll be very disappointed. Don't let the near 5 star review fool you. The pizza is barely cooked its almost raw in the crust, the garlic knots don't have a hint of garlic its just subtle oregano, and the alfredo fettuccine lacks any flavor - its cheese isn't cheesy but it is very chalky if thats your thing. Not to mention the price per serving for the pasta is outrageous. The best part about this meal was the complimentary assortment of leaves (hold the dressing) and the ranch… the ranch is pretty solid. Next time i will go with dominoes. PS- if you see a picture of a pizza with pepperoni, make sure you read the description. It'll be a cheese pizza.
