This is the best Yoshinoya I’ve been to in a long time. They were very fast, that’s a good thing. But really it’s Hong…he’s one of the most positive people I’ve ever met in California. The guy just gives off good energy. This place is lucky to have him.
So I'm from Texas, here for research at Caltech. As soon as I enter, I am quickly served. It was my first time there, and the man at the front was very kind and offered some recommendations. I sat down and got my food right away. Straight up, the food there was just what I needed. The traditional beef was thin and tasty. The ribeye was meaty and surrounded by flavor. I highly recommend the fried chicken, so crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. My only complaint was that the tables weren't washed and it was a bit sticky. Other than that, this place is a must go for a cheap, tasty eat.
Can't say enough about all the employees, they always go above and beyond, I love going there
Restaurant itself is big. Very spacious, air conditioned and clean. Employees were polite. Food service was quick. Food portion is very generous. This location is my 'go to' Yoshinoya from now on.
I the chicken bowl. It was St Patrick's. So the cabbage made it kind of Irish. It was really good 💯
Food is always good. Don't go too late when it's close to closing time cus they won't have veggies and/or beef/chk. Really cheap when u use coupons
Food is served hot. I liked the Tokyo chicken and teriyaki chicken and teriyaki salmon. NY Junior's cheesecake for dessert is The best.
Their chicken teriyaki large bowls are great. 2 for $8 is a steal. The orange chicken was decent but no vegetables in the orange chicken bowl is pretty lame. The orange chicken itself is good though, tastes light, and really meaty.
They are awesome each time we go. They’re always kind and patient being that I haven’t ate or Shania in years every time we go it’s a great experience for my son and I.
Quick and tasty. They take your order and they get you out of there quick and the food is steam hot. Yummy, thanks Monica she is nice and professional.
Great food and eats , love the new salmon teriyaki

Very clean spot with some great customer service. The lady working the cash registered hooked me up with a ton of pickled ginger!
I came in during the morning, the opening shift team served good food and the restaurant is clean and nice atmosphere. Thanks to the opening team and the guy in the front
My food was good but they were very skimpy on the condiments. For 2 orders I received a total of 1 ginger packet and 2 small Siracha packets. That's half what I asked for. I hate that!
I really like this place! The food is great! The staff could be a little more upbeat. I have times where I come in and my experience is a 10 and sometimes it's an 8, due to staff. The cooks are great! I do love this place though!
Love the original beef bowl. Love the spring rolls (but should have asked for more dipping sauce). I miss the miso soup. Glad they stopped using styrofoam containers. As usual, parking was awful at this location.
I got the large chicken here a few times, and recently they seem to get smaller in quantity compared to other Yoshinoyas. Otherwise, the flavours and appearance is great. Parking can get to be impossible during lunch and dinner, especially when PCC is open. There is some street parking to the East.
I’ve always loved Yoshinoya and it’s consistently delicious at every spot I’ve been to. I ordered their Thai tea boba, large beef bowl, clam chowder and egg rolls. The boba was descent but had a different flavor aftertaste. The large beef bowl was delicious along with the clam chowder and egg rolls. The same signature flavors and tastes on all of their items here. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items. Parking can get crowded on peak times.
Amazing!!!!!! But NOT in a good way!!! Why is Cynthia sooooooo incapable?!? I explained over and over what I wanted and she still overcharged me excessively.. (January 2022, 1 star at best) UPDATE: (Sept 2022, 4 stars) I've gone a couple of times recently given the combined experience and especially the great service with Samantha today I'm upping my stars to 4. I finally tried the Teriyaki Steak today and was quite pleased but not amazed. I still prefer the regular beef, but probably in part to that's their signature dish and my inclination to come is a feeling that I want the simple flavor jazzed and complimented by the asian red spice packets and a few of the ginger.
New store and very clean. The new product, lobster one is pretty good.
The food was tasty considering it was my first attempt
I really love Yoshinoya. It's nice to have one close to home. Oh a different note, it appears that they have gone through a bit of a "Makeover" since my last visit. They now offer many more options than they used to. The food tastes just the same, and all your old favorites are still on the menu.

Apparently their employees are no longer taught what it means when a customer requests "double chopped" on their teriyaki chicken order. Tasty food, though.
Love their beef bowls. Been a regular since the early 90s. I'm watching carbs so got 2 large bowls no rice. Portions seemed a little on the stingy side. Great flavor. Everything is better with gnger.

The original beef bowl is tasty as it was before, but they make you order adding foods to the bowl which can be a change of pace. It used to have beef juice also in the bowl... now it's not like that. It's okay, but with a couple not bad.
What's the difference between large and bowl? Every time I order large size, the only one thing difference is rice!! Large size means more rice?? What the hell is that? Order from another yoshinoya store. It's totally different. Is this store special?!
The service was very slow and not efficient. They needed a second person to run the counter and hand out the orders. Food was good though and up to par.
Shrinkflation seems to have hit this Pasadena location. The $10 (including tax) cost of an original beef bowl is ridiculous.
Honey walnut shrimp and short ribs meal. Ribs weren't bad but only got 4 pieces. Honey walnut shrimp felt undercooked, batter was still soft inside. Rice and veggies were OK. You have to pay extra for the shrimp and short ribs. Will consider just getting the original beef and chicken next time. Didn't have to wait too long but I wouldn't have minded waiting longer for better cooked food

They have good food and good service. The problem is their portions have gotten very small and their prices have gone up like a lot of other greedy restaurants. To

Food is ok, I ordered in English and service was ok but when I asked to use the restroom in Spanish she said it was out of order because it was being cleaned. I was there for 30 mins and the sign was there already and I never saw anyone cleaning the restroom. What bothers me is that she didn’t even try to help me out, she just said it was closed and continued doing her things. We all are, in some degree, service providers and when I offer my services I try to go the extra mile to satisfy mi clients. Unfortunately that’s not the case at this Yoshinoya.
Sunday, 3/13/22, I arrived a little after 8 pm to find the doors locked. Employee who finally came to the door explained that they were closing early, and would continue to close early on Sundays for a while longer. No signs, just the "Open" light was turned off.
Super fast service, but poor food quality. Rice and chicken were hard to chew Veggies were bitter
Maybe good for a bowl of rice but a few of the items were ice cold in the center indicating they are frozen and microwaved. Not a great flavor for the m ok st part.
We came to this location around 1045am, the two lady staffs are not attentive to their customers, they are always talking to each other way back in the kitchen. I order the spicy beef but I was given the regular one. Also the serving of the food is getting smaller. The vegetables- specifically the broccoli- looks old and overcooked. Given the time that we went there around 45minutes after the store opens for the day. I want to try the boba but the machine is notworking so I skip it. Parking in the location is so terrible. Will not come back to this location.
This is the type of place where you will feel really bad after eating it. The portions are good, but they didn’t give any vegetables and it was super salty. The cashier was super nice though.
Birthday bowl, only reason I was inside a Yoshinoya. They charge you for every little thing. This location had no ice. Sticky floors. The bathroom reeked before you even ventured into it.
I had not been to "Beef Bowl" in over 30 years. The old favorites are still there plus a few more healthy foods.

Shop smelled like rancid oil. Took beef bowls to go. The meat was 100% strips of fat. The rice was crunchy and oily. Made my car smell like rancid oil. Never had anything like it from Yoshinoya. I’m going to put it in the freezer and return it when I’m in the area next week. It was absolutely disgusting!

This time the beef and the broth tasted very gamy and definitely not fresh. It tasted like leftover beef that he been recooked or reheated many times. My son feel nauseous. I won’t be going again for a while.
We got food yesterday from the lady worker that was cooking she had attitude my chicken was all big not cut right and other bowel I got for husband his ribeye steak was all big not cut right ethier I don’t know but are stomach hurt after I don’t know what that lady put with her attitude she big girl cooker if you don’t like your job quit never coming her again!!!
Placed my order, went to the bathroom, two customers ordered AND ate before me. When I asked how long for my order they hadn’t made it yet. Cancelled it and walked out. With three employees no one could put together a combo bowl in 25min. Absolutely the worst experience ever. Will not be coming to this location EVER.
Worst. Really regret ordering from here. Food was cold, soggy and had the worst taste. Serving size was a joke. I ordered large bowls and they were not even near to regular size. It was definitely a small. Not worth the money I spent. Not ordering from here ever again!!
Wow... is it corporate policy now to add only 1 thin layer of beef on top of full rice. If this is the case, I’m not coming back to this location. If I can add a picture of the beef bowl I received, I would show it.
I ordered Teriyaki Ribeye Steak with extra teriyaki sauce. I have ordered this many times before. However, today I received something extremely hot (spicy) and no teriyaki sauce. I can not eat this. Is there a new cook?
The only reason there's only 1 star is because the store was out of alot of things(no to go condiments,no napkins etc). One of the employees was so rude I took my glasses off because I thought this guy wanted to fight and I stood at the register for almost 2min before anyone came to the register. This employee kept calling me man instead of sir or nothing. I asked him are you ringing them separately or how does it work and he got rude and said,"I didn't do your coupon yet man" with attitude. Then I asked for the little containers to put siracha and soy sauce in and the guy I asked had to get the little bum cooks approval to give me the containers after he asked me for how many and I said 4 because I got 4 combos. But the little bum cook forced him to only give me 2. This was my 1st time here and exactly my last time here. Don't eat at a place thats rude and runs out of things, that means their sanitation and other habits are lacking as well. I won't be back and I suggest you eat elsewhere. The food was not good looking and was bland. I'm a chef,I mentor chefs and alumni for a prestigious culinary school and I can tell that these bums just threw the food in without regard to their training. Go anywhere else but if you get food poisoning, don't say I didn't warn you.
I ordered food with this store through delivery. No utensils, napkin and didnt gave me my drink. Every year I come to this store to see if this store improves because I love yoshinoya. I failed again this year and wont order here anymore.

First and last time. Old and dry, I would suggest it had been sitting there all day. $30 for a large com bowl. The chicken was dry and old, the beef which I paid extra for was salty and had like hard bits throughout. Felt sick after eating. Didn't eat all of it. Salty and just not good at all. Just don't.
