I eat here EVERY time I go through Pecos! The owners are so kind and the workers always greet us and treat us so well! The food here is always better than any Dickey’s, I’ve ever been to. They definitely take pride in how they cook and prepare their food, and they are always checking on you even after you have been served. The soft serve ice cream is a nice bonus after your delicious bbq meal! Best place in Pecos to eat my far!

The store is only 4 years old and is still in great shape. It's clean, well-lit, and spacious. The staff are friendly and attentive. You order at the counter, and your plates are prepared as you move down the line. I had a 3-meat plate with sliced brisket, pork ribs, and Jalapeño sausage with Cole slaw and tater salad. The portions are adequate, the cups are large, and there are three kinds of barbecue sauce to choose from. There is plenty of parking, but no entrance from the feeder road, only from the side street on the west side.

This place is great!👍 We ate here for lunch today. Got us two meat plates & a couple of brownies. Superb service and delicious, tender food! All was great! The cups are neat, too! Can reuse. Clean dining area and clean restrooms!! We totally enjoyed our time here today! We shall be back! Thanks, Dickey's Barbecue!

We made a quick stop here before heading to our destination and had a pleasant experience overall. The two ladies working there—one of whom was the manager—were incredibly kind and welcoming. They even gave my child a free ice cream, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The food tasted good; however, I was a bit disappointed with the sandwich, as it seemed like I was given scraps rather than a full portion. Aside from that, the great customer service really stood out, and I still enjoyed our visit.

Gorgeous restaurant! Loads of tables. Walk up to order. We had Mac n brisket and Frito brisket. Pretty good. Bit pricey- 2 meals $30+ plus 2 sodas $7. Plenty of parking. We came at lunchtime and easily parked with our camper.

Quick place to eat fresh bbq. As we walked in about 8 p.m., we placed our dinner order. We decided to try the deal of the day for Thursday. Yummy, all the meat was FRESH OUT OF THE SMOKER! The deal of the day comes with jalapeño cheddar kielbasa sausage, pulled pork, a big yellow cup drink, and two choices of sides, which we requested potato salad. The potato salad was exceptionally good. It comes with the usual hard-boiled eggs, potatoes, celery, and a dash of mustard with spices. Alongside this meal, we also ordered a meal plate. This plate comes with one choice of meat, which we selected brisket. It also comes with two choices of sides and a roll, so we chose potato salad with mac and cheese. The brisket was tender and absolutely smoked to great perfection. Wow, we really enjoyed the bbq and would commend others to try!

The speed of service here was good, but the customer service was great. Obviously I don’t come here for the best brisket, but the food was good overall. The dinner roll recipe that you guys use could definitely be improved upon though! Those things are a complete letdown. Maybe tweak your brisket cooking times & everything will be on point. The brisket I had was on the dry side. Other than those two things everything was really good, so thank you guys!

The service was fair. The food was okay, but slightly cold. Staff was friendly. Food had a good flavor. Staff made a mistake and gave me fries instead of okra buy replaced the order with no problem.

So, best I can guess is I received the wrong order at the drive thru. By the time I opened the bag and found out, I was long gone. What I received was very good, but not what I ordered... I got ribs instead of pulled pork and for my sides, no fries, no okra, it was mashed potatoes.

From a bbq man. Well it's tough👀😆. The place is nice set up to look like a traditional bbq joint. But smoked in their big wood smokers. Which I'm not hating on but I've had better out of those style smokers. Brisket was ok, Def needed sauce, smoke was slightly there. Ribs were tender but similar to Chili's ribs or something like that. Turkey was just average like something you can buy ready at your grocery store. Just ok. Ok to fill the belly and it did that. Not bad for a quick fix. Can't really elaborate more then that😑😑😑😅

Online order was not noticed by staff ("He's new," the manager explained; she said that she was just back from a delivery, and "I have no idea where the other manager is.") Nobody else in the restaurant. She's a master at "Could Not Care Less." No text, no email that order had been received, was being processed and/or ready for pickup. The brisket was sliced from a plastic-wrapped piece of meat, and like the chicken and ribs, was south of mediocre. (Portions are minimal - if you're hungry, be sure to go no less than 3 meats!) The Texas Toast is a good substitute for drywall - flavorless and completely dried out). The food was sub par. What you see was $58. 1lb brisket, 1 piece kielbasa, 1/2 rack of ribs. Went about 6:30pm. Brisket was overdone and stringy, not a lot of flavor. Kielbasa was good. Ribs were overdone cooked and old. When they fall off the bone, they are overcooked or reheated. 100% not worth the money.

I've been going to Dickie's all over the state of Texas for years. It's normally a safe bet for decent BBQ and friendly service. Not in Pecos. The empty restaurant should have been a clue. I walk in and there's an employee on a ladder in front of the order line. No biggie. Things break and need work sometimes. While I'm waiting for the ladder to be moved, a female "manager" yells"is this a another big order or just for you?". I pay her no mind as I'm looking at the special board. She yells again and I ask if she's addressing me. She was. I respond that I'm alone. She says they're backed up on a big order but they'll try to accommodate me. Gee thanks. The young man that was preparing sandwiches ask what I'd like so I ask about their wings- on special for Wednesday- and he tells me so I order 10, bone in with buffalo sauce. I proceed down to the young lady at the register and she asks what I ordered. I repeat myself. The young man who took my order apparently already forgot it. So I repeat myself again. The register attendant ask if I want the combo and I ask atenthwy on special today? She yells at the female manager who yelled at me if the wings were on special. Then the kid who took my order twice already ask again which type of wings I wanted. 😲 . I tell him for the 3rd time my order. Then the girl working the register smarts off "we can't hear back here with these fans on, sir" as rudely as she could. I looked at her and politely responded "you know what, nevermind. You guys clearly don't want or need my business." As I start to leave, the female Manager type yells again "sir we'll take your order!!" And the register female yells back at her " he was upset because he kept having to repeat his order". I responded that wasn't the case. Y'all are just terrible. Never again.

Way overpriced and honestly just terrible food. $19 for a sandwich combo with cold soggy fries, and meat that was bone dry. My drink was filled with 80% ice. Save your money and go somewhere else. Ordered turkey and it's disgusting. Looks like it was boiled and definitely not turkey breast.. pics are what I'm use to getting at Dickies when I go and what I got from this location. Very unhappy after what I just paid..

Regarding my recent three-meat plate order, I must express my dissatisfaction with the brisket. My order specifically requested moist, sliced brisket; however, the brisket received was notably dry and appeared to be chopped. Additionally, despite ordering a double portion, the serving size seemed considerably smaller than a standard single portion. The server's actions resulted in my receiving the driest portion of the brisket, while the subsequent customer benefited from a fresh cut. Needless to say, I also got the brisket cold; it was not warm, it was cold. I highly recommend not leaving the area where they prepare your food because they will trick you and give you the remains of the last brisket. They kind of push you to the side section and to the register; don't fall for that, people, they will do you wrong, especially the manager. You can feel he gets upset if you stay there.

Definitely not worth $24.00. Was supposed to be a 2 meat plate. Got to the hotel and there’s two little pieces of brisket and four little chunks of chicken.
