Riding the Funicolare from Como to Brunate is such a fun experience! The ride itself is short but gives you incredible views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains—perfect for photos. Once you reach Brunate, the small town is charming, peaceful, and a great spot to explore or just relax while taking in the scenery. It’s super easy to use, tickets are simple to get, and the ride is smooth and comfortable. If you’re in Como, this funicular is an absolute must-do. The combination of the ride and the views at the top makes it totally worth it.

Nice trip, buy return tickets it's good activity to do but make sure to do it while it's sunny, we weren't lucky with that but it worth trying

The funicular is brilliant on a clear day, I was hesitant and thought it’s a tourist trap. But it isn’t. Make sure you walk up to the lighthouse, it takes 40+ minutes and is steep however the view is worth it! Lots of drink and food options up there too

Such a great experience! It is always crowded but it is totally worth of waiting, also when you reach the top you still need to go up about 30 minutes to reach Lighthouse house. It is amazing to search and find out about the system and physics behind the funicolare, how it is working, really amazing!!

The Funicolare Como–Brunate is a brilliant experience and definitely worth doing if you’re visiting Como. The ride itself is short but very scenic, offering amazing views over the lake and the town as you climb up to Brunate. Once at the top, you’re rewarded with even more spectacular views, and there are plenty of nice walking paths, cafés, and spots to explore. The funicular is well organised, runs frequently, and the ticket price is very reasonable for what you get. It’s a simple but memorable way to see Como from a different perspective, and one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!

the view from the top is beautiful, but we waited a very long time for the train, be prepared that after you go up, you still need to walk 800 meters to see the panorama

If you are visiting Como,Worth the ride of Funicolre (Mono Rail on Hill) .In June it was huge nos of Tourists therefore,long que for tickets even you need 1+Hours wait.But its really mesmerizing view of Lake Como while riding Funicolor.

I a few minutes ride that deserves the 1 hour and 20 minutes queue. Amazing view from the top on mountains over the lake of Como. Must do for any tourists visiting Como Lake.

It's my second time using the funiculare after 7-8 years and I have noticed some improvement in the amount of space I had this time in the cabins. Could be because it was not peak season but I felt they regulated better the amount of people in each cabin to make the ride more comfortable. I was very pleased to notice the great amount of storage space above the seats and I wonder why people with huge backpacks don't use it, you have enough time to put your luggage away and make the trip more pleasant for yourself and for others. Stops are with well organised access for trolleys and wheels, cabins go up and down quickly enough to manage the amount of people. There was a lot of waiting for tickets and we bought a few in advance that were supposed to be used twice, but never worked to pass the gate a second time. We had to buy new tickets and waisted some money unnecessary because of the system malfunction. When there was a personnel, they were solving it, but they were not there late in the evening or on the upper station.View from the cabin during the ride is beautiful, unfortunately it's not so easy to see much from the amount of standing people. It's impressive how high it climbs for a few minutes, we took the road down walking through the forest and it took us hours. The first stop down is in a very lively area that feels great to walk both during the day and at the evening, right at the north side of the lake and panorama from the top is breathtaking.

It may be a bit of wait, especially in the season, but it is definitely worth it. It runs every 15 minutes and costs €3.50. I recommend to buy one way ticket and take a lovely walk back to the town (around 40 minutes)
