A cute hotel tucked away in a great location on the lake. Easy access to the piazza nearby. Breakfast was served on the terrace below, overlooking the lake and the piazza... it was a perfect spot to start the day. The room was a bit plain and "spartan" But ok for the price I suppose.

We booked a room in the villa. It was beautifully furnished and very clean. The central location is truly fantastic! We were a little disappointed with the service at breakfast. One of the waiters wasn't able to say hello. We also had to set up a free table outside ourselves because no one seemed interested in us. In response to my request for a high chair, one was handed to us without a word. When we asked for cups for our coffee, as there were none left at the machine, they simply pointed us to the next room. The breakfast selection, however, was really good. The reception staff were very friendly, and everything went smoothly. Overall, we would recommend the hotel.

Excellent service by Claudia and Natasha. Nearby free parking. But the food either restaurant and breakfast here needs a huge improvement. But luckily you can find good restaurant in this town.

This hotel is fantastic; nice and clean rooms, impressing view if you can get one of the rooms facing the lake. Very nice and helpful staff, decent restaurant, nice breakfast. After 3 visits I would gladly go back soon again.

Il Portico in Cannobio was unfortunately the worst hotel on our trip around Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta. While they were probably renovated at some point, the bathroom was outdated. The kettle with a few ingredients seemed like a joke. The parking was a positive, even though it was a bit of a walk. The only really good things: the perfect location right on the lake and the comfortable beds. We do not recommend this hotel.

We arrived at 8:00 AM and apologised for beeing too early. At that day it was cold and rainy so we had nowhere to go. The recepionist basically told us to leave the lobby 5 times in a row (even though there where plenty of rooms available on the booking.com-app). After he offered us a room which was 80 Euros more (per day) than on the App, we got suspicious and looked for another hotel room. After that he asked us why are we even here and where did we book another hotel and why. We said cause he wasn't nice. He told us once again to leave and waved us out with his hands. Never seen this in my life.
