Imponente y magnífica. La piedad en mármol de Carrara realizado por Miguel Ángel entre 1498 y 1499, vale realmente la espera. Al igual que la Cúpula, el altar y el retablo! Y la Capilla Sistina! En fin todo

La Basílica de San Pedro es impresionante, independientemente de tus creencias. La arquitectura y el arte que alberga son simplemente asombrosos. Me gustó mucho la cúpula de Michelangelo y los mosaicos dorados que decoran las paredes. Aunque no soy creyente, sentí una sensación de paz y grandeza al entrar. La plaza de San Pedro es también muy impresionante, con la fuente y la columnata de Bernini. Es un lugar que te deja sin palabras.

Sin duda la basílica más impresionante e imponente que he visto jamás. Simplemente de verla desde fuera ya impresionante por su inmenso tamaño, pero al entrar te quedas boquiabierto. Absolutamente cada superficie esta grabada con diseños, pintada por los mejores artistas o repleta de esculturas. Es sin duda alguna el templo del catolicismo y no puedes pasar por Roma sin ver esta obra de arte.

La Basílica de San Pedro es, sencillamente, una experiencia inolvidable. Desde el primer momento impresiona por su grandeza, pero es al entrar cuando realmente te deja sin palabras. Cada detalle —desde sus majestuosas columnas hasta los techos decorados con un arte impecable— transmite historia, espiritualidad y belleza en su máxima expresión. Preciosa, me encantó. No es solo un lugar para visitar, es un sitio para sentir, contemplar y recordar. Una visita imprescindible que deja huella y a la que sin duda volvería.

Es, como decirlo 🤔, no hay texto ni imagen que le haga justicia. Un lugar increíble con un gran peso en la historia de la humanidad, con una arquitectura, diseño y arte increíble independientemente de tu fe visitarlo es un obligado con todo el respeto que implica.

This is probably the most spectacular church or basilica I’ve ever been to. The art is truly breathtaking and you’ll need at least a couple of hours to explore it all. We arrived at around 8am on a Thursday after buying tickets the previous day and there were no queues. Climbing to the top is also worth it for the view but be warned there are quite a few steps. This place is a must visit if you’re in Rome.

Entry is free, but it’s important to be there at least 15 minutes before opening time, and preferably avoid weekends to skip long lines. The basilica is truly magnificent — an overwhelming combination of art, history, faith, and immense riches. Every corner is filled with masterpieces, from monumental architecture to priceless works of art that leave you speechless. This is not just a church, but one of the greatest artistic and spiritual landmarks in the world. A must-see experience in Rome.

Visiting Saint Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City is an unforgettable highlight of any trip to Rome. Magnificent place with astounding architecture and steeped with history. All the gold, marble and sculptures inside are very beautiful, to say the least. There is no ticket required to enter the square or the basilica. There is a security check before entering St Peter's square. Wearing large backpacks are not recommended. And you can attend a Catholic Mass led by the Pope on Sunday mornings. However I noticed on that day visitors aren't allowed to bring in water hence there was a pile of water tumblers and plastic bottles outside the security check on that day. Not sure if this happens on other days as well. There is a gift shop in the basilica where you can buy various Catholic religious items, such as rosaries and crucifixes - or you could buy a simple fridge magnet and postcard. Interestingly, there is a priest stationed in a booth right outside the hallway leading to the giftshop who can bless your religious paraphernalia. However, many tourists seem to think he is an information booth to ask for directions. In the square outside, there is post office to buy stamps and also another gift shop. A post box to drop your mail or post cards is just outside the post office.

This is a must-see destination if you're in Rome for a few days and if you like architecture. Of course, there's the whole history of how Rome became the center of the christianity over time, that's something you can discover at the adjacent museums. This review is really more about how magnificent the square is, and the Basilica itself. I strongly suggest booking in advance. A guided-tour is not necessary but you will need tickets if you want to visit the Basilica, with or without the dome option. If you don't fear climbing up 500 stairs, it offers the best panoramic view of the city available.

Went on a morning, joined a tour bought from the official website. Crowds are better in the morning, but i still considered it crowded. The hike to the dome is not for the faint hearted. If u dont exercise regularly it might be something for you. From the dome you can see how tall it is to the ground. And after the hike to the dome you can go further up and i really recommend you to go, its a beautiful view of the city with the plaza in front of the basilica look so grand from above here. Theres also a souvenir shop up there where i recommend you to buy something there. The other souvenir shops in the ground level are super crowded like you need to fight for your purchase. The basilica ground level is even more crowded but it rrally is the grandest church i've ever been to. Bigger than any other church ive ever been and its also beautiful. Worth the visit.

One of the most beautiful cathedrals I've been to. The level of Craftsmanship is absolutely astounding. Everything from thd grand scale to thd mosaics, colors and statues is just phenomenal. Anyone who can climb the dome, I cant recommend highly enough. Thd views ard just spectacular. As for technicality - for those who want to avoid the lines, come early. Just make sure there's a good visibility if you plan to go up the dome. Take the elevator/ stairs ticket for 10 € and enjoy.

Spread within an area of 120 acres, this worlds smallest sovereign state, is governed by the Holy See, ruled by the Pope who is the bishop of Rome. The Vatican City contains religious and cultural sites having the Sistine Chapel, St Peter's Basilica, the Apostolic Library and the Museums, having famous paintings and sculptures. It is important to note that the Sistine Chapel's dome was created by Michelangelo. The name of Vatican City was first used in the Lateran Treaty of 1929, due to its location being on the Vatican Hill located in Rome. The economy is supported by donations, postage stamps and souvenirs sales, admission to the museums and the publication sales. Vatican City has no taxes, and items are duty-free. Our visit to this smallest city in the world was during August 2024. I had been just rearing to get there, ever since the time I was nutured by a Convent in Delhi, India. So needless to add that - the fascination of being there, over- whelmed me completely. The security was extremely strong but we still managed to get in without much ado. TC had ensured that our visit would take place without too much of aplomb. There was just one entry gateway and another gate for exiting it. I felt blessed by just being present there. My reserve of NOT clicking a selfie, was just self imposed, however, it did not stop me from clicking my 3 friend's family picture inside either. A complete inspiring visit for me, for sure.

Awesome and powerful!!!! The artworks and architecture leave you feeling inspired and uplifted! This place is so holy. You feel the power of God here. The building itself is an architectural marvel, and the inside is filled with incredible works of art. It’s definitely worth the trip to see it, you will be amazed. If you can handle many stairs, it is definitely worth it to go to the top of the dome. There’s an elevator to take you halfway up, but you’ll have to climb the stairs the rest of the way and it’s not an easy climb. However, the view from the top is breathtaking and you can see the entire Vatican City and Rome. Be prepared for large crowds of tourists everywhere inside and outside! I went on a weekday during off-season and it was still packed. Loved all the artwork of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! All glory to God! Amen!

Amazing basilica. Definitely worth visiting at least once in a lifetime. Amazing arhitecture, artwork, sculptures, paintings. Incredible view from the top of the dome, if you visit the basilica be sure to not miss out if you are not afraid of higts, and you are not claustrophobic because the way up tends to take you through narrow stair ways. It's an amazing place, one of a kind in the world at this magnitude. Buy tickets in advance.

Yo no sé si soy muy vaga o que pero subir la cúpula completamente en escaleras NO ES UNA OPCIÓN. Admito que por ahorrar saque la subida mas barata en la cual tenes que SUBIR 500 ESCALONES. Igualmente eso ya lo sabía, lo que no sabía era LAS CONDICIONES DE ESTA SUBIDA. - si sos clautofobico o tenes algún problema así de ansiedad, que ni se te ocurra subir por escaleras. - Al principio, donde todo parecia estar bien, fueron escaleras normales, pero luego se fue complicando aún más. - el último tramo el cual deben ser 150 escalones ES SUMAMENTE ANGOSTO E INFINITO, GENUINAMENTE PENSÉ EN ABANDONAR LO CUAL ES IMPOSIBLE PORQUE NO PODES BAJAR DE LA GENTE QUE SUBE. - de lo tan angosta que es solo entra una persona FLACA, alguien más subido de peso se quedaría atorado. - no solo es angosta si no que en varias partes son ANGOSTAS Y CARACOL SIN BARANDA. EL ÚLTIMO TRAMO LA BARANDA ERA UNA SOGAAAAA POR DIOS. - NO SOLO ES SI NO QUE TAMBIÉN ADOPTABAN LA FORMA DE LA CÚPULA, por lo tanto la pared se te venía encima. Genuinamente la subida a la cúpula me traumo, y eso que la hice en invierno, no me quiero imaginar cómo sería en verano. Ponele que las vistas valieron la pena.
