A good Denny's. Service is good and the location is convenient. Only drawback is you have to make sure all your lights and everything else on your car is up to par and date. Pismo PD seems to love hanging out in that parking lot to catch up on funds.

Best breakfast! We stayed up the hill at the Hilton but found Denny's the way to go for breakfast. The food was delicious but even better was the cost. And even better than that was the service!!! If walking up a hill is not your thing, drive over. But I'm telling you it's well worth the small extra effort!

This is another amazing Dennys owned by a franchise owner who clearly cares and hires beautiful people. Food was great. I ordered the skillet breakfast with grilled jalapeños and avocado. Yummy. Highly recommend

This is a very nice clean and friendly Denny's location. It is pretty much the same as any other Denny's that you've been too. I like to meet people over here and share breakfast or lunch as it is quiet and fairly private dining. Denny's is always a nice place to get a decent meal at a reasonable price and to be able to talk in Comfort.

2am on a weekday, only 2 or 3 other tables. Hostess/waitress/manager took our drink order when she sat us which was nice because I was parched. When she took our full order, didn't write anything down yet got our order perfect. Food came up quick and as ordered. Checked back to make sure everything was good. Altogether practically a flawless dining experience. Even more so considering the late hour.

Our best breakfast experience that we've ever had at a Denny's Restaurant. This happened today May 10, 2024 at Denny's of Pismo Beach California. Our hostess greated us with a smile and a "Welcome to Denny's we are so glad you could join us today" and our waitress was amazing. She took our orders and served our food and made sure that we were happy with our food orders. The food was amazing and the customer service was a 10+ we highly recommend this Denny's Restaurant to all our family members and our work colleagues.

There were six in our party. This Denny's is in a good location. When we arrived, there was hardly anyone. Good hotcakes, omelettes, eggs, etc. Good old American food. Good fast and friendly service. Great prices. If ever in five cities, recommend breakfast here.

The manager is really sweet, and made the experience wonderful for the whole family! It is the little things the count. The servers are all amazing. The cooks are actually pretty amazing. This location is the best Denny's ever! A server we had named Daniel is absolutely stunning at dinner time and should be promoted. Absolute gem. It looks ordinary but it is extraordinary in every way.

When everything was closed in Pismo beach on labor day weekend around 9 pm, Denny's to the rescue!. It was slammed but we had to wait only about 10 minutes. The waitress was working so hard I felt sorry for her but she was on top of her game! The food was simply fantastic. I broke my diet and got strawberry cream pancakes and turkey bacon. My friend got a steak and his kid got pancakes with grapes for a side dish. The berries and grapes were fresh, ripe, and so good. The coffee was great and the creamer was little cups of international coffee french vanilla. We were sad that most of the beach side restaurants were closed so early but Denny's was so good we quickly got over it. My only complaint is the claw machine in the waiting area. The claw is too loose and literally no one going in or out won a ball. It dropped them all. We are lucky our toddler is not the type to fall over screaming but I could see lesser well behaved children having a screaming fit if they don't get the ball after 5 tries. No one likes listening to a screaming child while eating. Lose the claw machine or tighten the claw. That one was a $5 total rip off.

Hands Down the best Denny's I've ever experienced! I was there during early morning hours approx. 1 AM. The place was unexpectedly busy. Only 1 person to cook. & 1 on the floor. She was pleasant, intelligent & organized. She easily handled the floor. Food was great and was served quickly.... I will go to this Denny again!

This is my go-to place for breakfast cheap and fast. The quality for price is very good, and the speed that they made the food was fantastic. I would recommend ordering on the app ahead of time in order to have it exactly how you want it!

Service was good. We were a party of 8 stopping for breakfast. Everyone actually ate their food and were stuffed. Everything was fresh. We had pancakes, French toast, hash browns, eggs/shell, bacon, sausage, omelets and more! The coffee was perfect..I even took a cup to go.

I have not been to Denny's in years. I went with a friend around 5 p.m. yesterday for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised not only how good my dinner was but was impressed by our server's politness and attention to making sure we were happy with everything from the beginning to the end of our meal. I won't hesitate to go again. Portions were just right too. Great experience all around.

This is a great place after playing on the sand. There is plenty of seating and you are seated right away and coffee is dropped off. We had a French dip with fries, very tasty. There is a fried pancake (double chocolate pancake puppies), it makes a nice dessert.

I don’t normally eat Denny’s but this is the best I’ve ever been to. Sirloin steak cooked perfectly to temperature and it’s actually quite delicious. Low-key melts in your mouth. I would never have guessed Denny’s cooked it if I didn’t know better.

Located right off the 101 FWY off 4th St exit with plenty of parking. Approximately 1 mile from Downtown. I placed an order online and picked up. My food was ready at the time promised regardless of how busy the restaurant was. I ordered their 'Cinnamon Roll Pancakes' with a coffee'. My food was hot and fresh, and tasted amazing with that authentic Denny's flavor. The restaurant was clean and organized. It's always a great feeling seeing a Denny's as they're open 24 hrs. Service was friendly, fast and efficient this Sunday night. Overall, I had a good experience at this location and will return when in town.

It's been a while since I've visited Denny’s and surprisingly that the customer service was excellent. Both waitstaffs were attentive in making sure I had enough coffee or water. My visit that day I’m giving 5-star for customer service and 3-star for the food. Pancakes were fluffy and without the maple syrup (I dont think it was real maple syrup) it was tasteless.

I’m going to start by saying the customer service for day shift is elite. I’ve never been to a restaurant that cared more then this . Very polite very welcoming. Food was really good I just wish the cooks wore gloves or cleaned there hands more often . Besides that this place is really good and I would haven’t given 5 stars

I love the new and improved Denny's. I know it's not new new but I've lived in the area my whole life and it's still new to me. Lots of options for delicious eats plus they have peach and strawberry lemonade. The bathroom is clean and there is only two stalls one of them being for handicapped people. Staff is always friendly and lots of parking. Only thing I've notice is the sirloin steaks were weird the last two times I went. They were flat and didn't look like the photo at all nor how I remember them from times before that. The NY steak had lost its flavor so needed lots of steak sauce. So think I'll opt out of their steak dinners from now on. But the potatoes and veggies were delicious. The cali club was great too but had a weird dressing on it I think thousand island.

The staff here is always friendly, usually our go to place after a long trip up or down the 101 or after a very long day at the beach. Just this time around the gentleman forgot to bring my girlfriend's salad but it was no big deal. Overall to me this place is one of the better Denny's here in the state.

Denny's has never claimed to be a fine dining establishment, but this one is pretty darn good. Denny's has worked hard to include spicier options in recent years, and this location made a Spicy Dinner skillet with plenty of zest and flavor. My hubby loved his burger. Good job!

I love getting pancakes here, the staff are usually friendly and the place is clean. Being able to get anything I want at any time is the only reason I enjoy Dennys. Lately the staff has been hit or Miss, not always attentive bringing refills or checking up on your table. Nothing like coming in for Coffee at 6am with an empty place and never getting a refill in 30 minutes of sitting, while you can see the staff standing behind the counter chatting and looking at cell phones.

The service was great, and so was the food! This location is conveniently off the freeway and next to a couple of hotels, so it makes it easier to walk over, especially if you're in the area for a quick sec! As a local I've been coming here for a long time!

Denise is really seem to have improved in their service and wait time. The food that is ordered is good and usually it's my mom and I that go there and we enjoy the servers they seem to know us and we like the chit chat back and forth with them. Sometimes the wait is a little bit long to get your food but they make up for it and being very friendly.

This is my home town Denny's and I've been coming here forever. Other than a couple remodels to the interior and not being able to smoke inside anymore the restaurant continues to deliver day and or night with consistent quality. Restrooms are clean food is good waiting staff is attentive. Thank you Danielle for a great experience once again. Always good if you are in the area and hungry at midnight and everything else is closed.

Went in for my boyfriend's Birthday free meal. I was not aware that in order to get the Birthday meal, you now have to claim it online and you MUST be a Denny's Rewards Member. I'm not very fond of the process and I guess gone are the days of Simplicity. The staff was friendly though and the place was clean as usual.

We haven't been to a Dennys for a while. One of my family members had this yugge burger at $11 or $12 then fries at another $2 plus a drink at $3. I had an egg meal with hashbrowns. Wasn't too bad at at $4. I would say the normal Dennys food. Nothing special.

The waitress was nice enough....... But the food was not up to the Denny's standard. When we pulled up the manager was sitting next to the building smoking a cigarette. I don't mind people smoking but not where my kids are. I find it rude and stinky. They forgot my son's order even tho it was on the ticket. We ended up getting what he ordered to go, but he was not impressed with their wings and said it wasn't worth the wait even tho we got it free.

Service was good. Lots of parking. Conveniently located, close to freeway exits. Wish the food was better. Eggs are always over cooked, don't know why. Hash browns were just right, pancakes were tender. Value Menu is a pretty good deal.

It is a diner and about what I expected. We stopped here with the Scout troop after camping and received good service. Unfortunately, we had a kid's backpack stolen out of the truck while inside; which makes it highly unlikely that I will ever go back here personally or with the Troop.

The men's bathroom definitely need to be cleaned. The countertop either need to be cleaned or replaced as it was discolored. My server seem to be very new. My water glass was empty and when he walked up he just asked if there was anything else instead of asking me if I wanted some more water. unlike most every other Denny's I've been to when you order a salad it comes out first mine I had to ask for which made it come out after my entree was served. But the people were nice.

Everything is great abou place and staff, but everything that has water added tastes like chlorine. I guess that is local problem, as the water in motel smells the same.

I don't know if it was just the day but when I visited it it felt like this place is dying. It was cold in the heat wasn't on. They had a couple of those heat lamp things that you get at Costco going. I know they cook the food I ordered but it didn't come out particularly hot. It just felt kind of gloomy.

Denny's is Denny's . Used to be able to say You get what you pay for, cheap prices, cheap food but decent. It's no longer cheap though . Cheap food for inflated prices. A waffle breakfast is 21 dollars, lol , coffee is 4 bucks. Not sure it's worth it anymore. For 25 bucks I can eat at a better place.

The worst breakfast I've ever had at Denny's, and I started eating at Denny's around the country since 1964! I ordered the 55+ scrambled eggs and cheese with meat and two pancakes. The eggs had been left on the griddle till they were brown and the cheese was burnt. The cook chopped it up, flipped it over and covered it with more cheese. The server should have refused it. I asked for all bacon crisp and got limp bacon and sausage instead. The pancakes were fine. The service was okay only. I won't be back to that one again. An egg McMuffin sounds pretty good about now.

Day crew is HORRIBLE! Came in for our Grand Slam Special-out waitress brought our food and we asked for butter and salsa and waited for our 4th party's breakfast... And waited .. and waited ... Finally 10 min later brings her food but no condiments; her food was not cooked to order not even close. Had to go find her after another 5 full min waiting. Asked bus boy for butter and napkins for our now cold food. Waitress never came back to check on our table and the 4th party had to go to the line as she could see her remade breakfast under heat lamp. She was told that wasn't hers she already brought her food. After a conversation she had her food to-go'd as we were all done. Had to wait for cashier for ticket. Really a bad experience and if we weren't regulars could easily assume this the worst Denny service around. But we know better. Evening and late nite service is much better and food is better as well.

This place has really gone down hill. My premium chicken tenders were stale, hard and cold. My Ice cream was melted, and my chicken fried steak was soggy on the outside and tough like boiled boot leather on the inside. Gravy was pasty and lumpy. My corn nibblet was the only thing I could stomach. Very disappointed. I used to love eating here. This is the second time my meal was terrifying. I had hoped that the first time was a fluke.

Let's put it this way, after waiting for 30 minutes for someone to take my order... A waiter came up to my table and said... And I quote "I'm so sorry you are being treated this way and that you have been profiled the second you walked in here. To which her response was.... (And this is while she's still walking by and she doesn't even stop)" yeah... What do you want? ". I'm telling her my order and she's nodding get head not writing anything down and STILL walking away... I was floored. So after the apology and I eat, I pay my bill and I'm doing my art project enjoying coffee. I tell the gentleman that I'm going to smoke outside. But I'm leaving my stuff here so they would know I want leaving yet. I go outside, I'm smoking, I let my dogs out of car to use the restroom, and then about 15 minutes into it... The waiter walks out and says" I'm sorry but I was told to tell you either come in and get your stuff and leave it come in and sit down for more coffee!" I couldn't believe it. I will never eat here again, I will tell a certain type of social standing not to come here but I'm not sure what that is... I'm just a common looking white girl.... So you got me. I drive there, I had money, idk. Screw this place!!!

Our server was great. He worked very hard to take care of us the best he could. They were not understaffed, but they were extremely disorganized. This restaurant was filthy. The glasses were sticky. One glass came to our table with lipstick on the rim. The plates had fingerprints all along the edges next to the food. Then there was the men's restroom, absolutely disgusting! There is no reason for any place of business to be so filthy. We will never eat at a Denny’s restaurant again. This really makes me question who is in charge of the Denny’s Corporation. Shameful!

After, she goes and asks all other tables and even laughs smiles with everyone else but us. Not sure why when we were being extremely nice . She said here’s your check and walked away. Then I let her know we weren’t even ready, we never asked for our check either. We were only there maybe 8 min after she gave us our food and was trying to have us leave. Our family breakfast was a horrible experience, thank you REANN, I hope you have better days. may god bless you with happiness so you can give it out to everyone not just pick and choose.

I was at their place last night. We were driving along the i101 to LA. My friend wanted to eat. He offered to stop by this place, but I didn't really want to eat and in general I don't like the food in this restaurant. As a result, I ordered chicken tenders. And that was my mistake. They were orange and not yellow as in the photo. They were fried in very old butter and tasted disgusting. I didn't finish my dinner because I realized that there might be stomach problems. As a result, I had a very bad stomach ache at night. I will no longer ever go to one of the envies of this company. This is disgusting food, I knew it before from my experience and I confirmed it once again for myself.

Man where do I even start. This place is literally the worst restaurant I’ve been at, and lemme tell you I’ve been so desperate that I’ve been at 7/11 at 2am messing up the hot dogs. This Denny’s does not only have the most bizarre staff with no common sense. But I ordered some wings from them only because they had nothing else available. Those wings were not wings, they were 1 single chicken tender cut up with some crusty sauce over it. They charged me 25$ for basically 2 chicken tenders.

We came here as me and our family are traveling and are staying at a nearby hotel service wasn’t great , long hair in our burger, server charged us for things we didn’t ask for and when we showed her she pulled money out her pocket and said here just take the difference that I charged because I can’t take anything off your bill. We refused to take her money paid our bill in full and left.

Service sucks even McDonalds provides better service. Didn't get utensils or syrup or butter with my to go slam. Even fast food places provide this. Server looked visibly upset when I asked to get those items.
