Posizione strategica tra Valtrompia e lago d'Iseo Io l'ho raggiunto a piedi da Pezzaze tramite sentiero 328 da Mondaro. Ottima escursione in un bel bosco di faggi secolari ed abeti. Il rifugio è bello, non posso valutare il cibo visto che ho bevuto una birretta e basta. Tuttavia so che sono in fase di cambio gestione, indi valuteremo più avanti con un pranzo da loro. Vista e panorami eccezionali su Valtrompia e Valcamonica

Pranzo in quota, con prodotti tipici e genuini. Locale semplice ed accogliente, ideale punto di partenza per tante attività, bellissima vista sul fondovalle

Location bellissima, aria pulita e paesaggio stupendo. Bel rifugio sia per un caffè che per pranzare. Consigliato per famiglie. Rapporto qualità prezzo buono.

A magical and authentic place! A special thanks to Anna for her warm welcome and her kindness: we immediately felt at home. The dinner was authentic and truly delicious, the room was clean, renovated, and furnished in perfect mountain style, all at an exceptional price. Rustic atmosphere, friendly staff, but a little more attention could be paid to the presentation of the dishes, even if it's just a sandwich. Beautiful view, a popular destination for cyclists and motorcyclists.

We stopped for breakfast during a motorcycle ride. The owner and manager were extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, with coffee, cappuccino, and pastries. Cakes like strudel were also available. Thank you, we'll stop by again when we're in the area.

The food was delicious and plates were big. The atmosphere and waitresses were super nice and kind. Prices are ok. It was full so the only problems was that we booked at 13.30 and sit on our table at 14.15 but we had such a great time so it didn’t matter.

Colle San Zeno is a beautiful pass that I would define as subalpine, as it is located in the last southern foothills of the Rhaetian Alps, between the most famous peaks of Adamello and Passo Crocedomini to the north and Monte Guglielmo to the south, Guglielmo from which San Zeno is separated by the small Val Palot, and which represents the last real mountain before the great Brescia plain... we are in the northern area of ​​Lake Iseo, and the climb to San Zeno begins right in the beautiful lakeside town of Pisogne, with a road that winds pleasantly (if done calmly...), first between some very scenic hairpin bends characterised by a stupendous view of the lake (truly WONDERFUL glimpses, especially in the early morning and at sunset..), then passing small hamlets (Sonvico and Fraine) and continuing to creep into the mountain to reach the small and charming village of Val Palot, where the road steepens more decisively for the last few km (5/6..), just resurfaced (EUREKA!!!) that lead to the top of Colle San Zeno... here, from Val Camonica (and Val Palot..) you pass into Val Trompia with a road design that is a little narrower and more tortuous (but 2 cars crossing each other can always pass..), the asphalt a little shabby although not disastrous, up to the village of Pezzaze, where the design and road surface return to being comfortable and relaxing.... at the Pass/Colle there is a well-known (and unique) refuge, the Piardi, for pleasant stops, and from here several hiking trails start that are good for all ages... I confirm; if you always keep your brain active and respect others (I am referring to motorcyclist friends....) Colle San Zeno is truly pleasant and, especially the part that looks out onto Lake Iseo, offers truly BEAUTIFUL panoramic views.

We made a reservation...but no one knew anything, they placed us at the entrance to the kitchen. Poor, average-quality food...frozen dessert. Service...very clumsy and uninterested staff. If you're looking for a traditional restaurant with good food, go elsewhere.

What a disappointment!! We stopped for a snack, but there were no cold cuts sandwiches... so they told us they had cold cuts and sliced bread available, so we had a platter made... there was speck, pancetta, a few very thin slices of salami, and some pieces of formagella cheese... unfortunately, we were in for a surprise when we paid the bill... a whopping €26 for the platter because it was for two people (a real exaggeration for what they brought us) + €1.50 each for a paper placemat and cutlery that we didn't even need... add a beer and a can of tea for a total of €39.50!! It felt like they were trying to steal people's money! Plus, we struggled to digest those cured meats all evening... we definitely won't be back again!!!

Extremely rude waitress with a foreign accent (presumably the owner, by the way). We sat down, and she looked visibly annoyed after we declined her offer to have an appetizer (there were four of us, and we all noticed, so it wasn't just a subjective perception). We asked for menus, and she listed three entrees, the only ones left at 1:15 PM when we sat down to eat. Service was quite slow, and very expensive for the quality of the food.
