Tip: Try the combo menu for a good value and large portions. Be aware that the spicy fried rice is more sweet than spicy.

One of the best Japanese places in terms of price and ingredients. The sauce is a bit sweet, but overall, it’s very tasty.
5 out of 5 amazing great food and a lot of food for a great price we got a beef plate and chicken plate and sushi 🍣 as well with miso soup and salad we were very very happy and please and we will for sure come back soon we highly recommend you won't regret it
Quality food for a great price! This place really fulfills my craving for sushi when I don't feel like spending $30+. The portions are really big and taste great. The only negative is the cashier seemed a bit overwhelmed but I'll give them a pass because the food was good. I definitely see why this place is so busy and I'll definitely be back.
This place is good! Clean restaurant, good service and must say the AC works great for the heat weather!!! Thank you, dine in or to go, best to try their combo menu! Worth the price, fresh ingredients and yummy for sure!!!
What a brilliant concept. Japanese nuanced vegan dishes. Everything we had was super yummy. The sauces are perfectly matched. The eggplant no-tuna bites were amazing. The karaage (no-chicken nuggets) were very good and recommended (especially for regular chicken eaters) and touted as a favorite, but I invite you to go beyond the favorites as everything we had was extremely well done. The Kings and Queens with pickled onions on top were solid. But the Futomaki was exquisite with thte pickled beet wrap and the sauce. The classic ramen with spicy sauce was reported as fabulous if you can handle heat. Members of our party also had the pretzle sliders with impossible meat. And it was so good including the gyoza. Enjoy.
Best Japanese food i have tried in Northern Orange County. Came to grab some lunch with my girlfriend, and the food is almost as good as my Japanese grandmother’s cooking. I cannot recommend this place higher. The customer service is also amazing. Ana was awesome, super friendly, and made our experience the best. We will CERTAINLY be back. 10/10
I got the number 18 the beef and chicken combo I was surprised of the amount of food so I paid about 15 total it came with a salad it had 2 different types like a kale salad and a romaine lettuce both were great after that a 4 piece California roll pretty decent not bad at all they gave a side of rice plenty of food but what the main thing was the meat thr chicken snd beef good good flavor overall new place for me 👍
Firts time in this location and I love it. Is much better than the one in Norwalk. The guy at the front super attentive, the food is delicious and price is super affordable. 100% I recommend this place

Plastic to-go containers - Not Styrofoam - Nice! The food here is great and the price is fair but my family of 4 had stopped going to this restaurant for to-go orders because everything was packed in individual unrecyclable Styrofoam containers. We would end up with 2 grocery bags of foam that was going to end up in the landfill. I tried this spot again and now they are using plastic. Thank you for making the change!
Glad to have a new asian spot in the neighborhood. Love the Yaki Soba noodles. The spicy chicken teriyaki is great, too. Egg rolls were also good. The yaki soba noodles are very generously portioned and everything I've tried has tasted fresh & high quality. That's all I've tried so far, i'm sure the rest of the menu is quality as well. Try this new spot soon!

Food was ok. Portions are huge for sure. Definitely shareable. I feel like two salads is too much and the only thing that makes the chicken good is the sauce.
Spicy fried rice is so yummy! It's more sweet than spicy. I always get it as a meal. They do it fresh so it takes a while. My husband got the sushi and he wasn't a fan. Other than that he loved the rest of his meal.
I tried to grilled chicken salad with a combination of greens and cabbage and it was excellent. Everything was very fresh and tasty. I'm a bit of a stickler on service and at this location it was very slow but everyone was very friendly and the restaurant itself was super clean so I didn't mind the wait. I would highly recommend trying this place if you're in the area.
The salad was delicious and the price is very reasonable. I ordered the pork Katsu with curry and it was really good 👍🏼 Definitely will try other entrees whenever I’m in the area👍🏼

As the reviewer right before me so eloquently stated, coming here is about managing expectations while being prepared for... Personally, the biggest portion size I've ever seen in a sushi roll. Feeling full and satisfied for a mere 13 dollars is a rare experience these days- if you're looking for something beyond traditional fast food. For the record, I'd take this over any fast-food chain, hands down. And if we are discussing the factor of speed, I also appreciate their expedience; orders are ready within 15 minutes. I go for the sushi, but I've had a plate as well. I give it a raw score of 3.9 - 5 on the tasty scale. But with some soy sauce or some spicy mayo, all is well. For those who are partial to in-house dining, I recommend skipping that and ordering your food for pick-up. The atmosphere is about as minimal as you can get. Also, be warned. Depending on what time you head in to collect your order, you might have to park a little way away, but I've always been lucky~
The biggest piece of advice I would give someone is to simply manage your expectations; this is a fast casual Japanese restaurant. That being said, yes, the food is very ‘mid’ but it’s great considering the circumstances. The portion sizes for the prices are absolutely bananas. Tons of salad included with most combos, plates and bowls and the size of the sushi pieces are large. Service is great too. Anyone I’ve ever dealt with has been kind and take out meals always include utensils, napkins and sauces.
Tasty teriyaki chicken. Plate comes with rice, small veggie kabob, salad, and noodle salad. Made quick. Rice is the good Japanese sticky rice.

Food used to be good here. Now I’m not sure if this play will stay because the owner cannot delegate simple things to his employees. I’m assuming the owner was one of the Asian dudes, he was essentially overseeing the cashier. I could understand if he was training him, but jeez go do something else while he takes my order. Did not offer me sauce with my food either. Food was also below par. Salad was on its way to wilting, it was still the best part of the meal I would say which says a lot about the food here. Gave me old chicken! Tasted like it was sitting on a hot griddle for hours. 2/5
Have been a regular customer since around 2018 and have consistently had trouble with receiving correct orders, along with having found scrap bits in the food. The staff are decently friendly though.
The prices have increased significantly, and portion sizes have gotten much smaller, just like everywhere else. I understand why, but unfortunately I will not be returning. The staff was always kind, though. My family had been going to Yasai for many years.

Food is terrible. We will never go back. We ate here quite often. But now there must be a new owner or a new chef because all the food is different and much worse. The tempura batter is terrible. It’s heavy and greasy and soggy and not light and it is not light and crispy greasy. The tempera dipping sauce is different and bad. The salads used to be freshly made and delicious and now they’re soggy and wilted. Too much dressing. I wish I could get my money back. We stopped eating.
