Many praise the generous portions and delicious dishes like the gyro, lemon chicken soup, and fries. Some find the white sauce too thick or experience inconsistencies in flavor and portion sizes.

Great gyros. Perfect spot when your to lazy to travel to astoria. It’s the next best thing.
You will be able to enjoy a journey of flavors of Greek & Mediterranean cuisine .Very nice meats, well cooked, incredible taste, the gyro is top. Very nice and clean environment .Perfect service friendly and fast.
The food here is just amazing. Love their Greek and Santorini salad. Their falafels are the best I’ve ever had...perfect texture and flavor. Definitely recommend trying this place out.
Catered my son's birthday party this past weekend. Excellent!!!! Food was ready on time for pick up, and everything was delicious. Highly recommend, will use them again in the future!!!
Have used Greek Xpress multiple times for catering events and they have done an excellent job. Food is great, staff was accommodating to what we needed. Thank you Vangelis and the team!
Excellent food and workers are efficient and caring. They make sure you have a pleasant experience!
Great place to have a quick bite of fresh, delicious greek food. Love the zuchinni fritters and their platters. Always fresh and the service is friendly.
Best cheeseburger I have had in a long time...seriously! Service was great too! And served on delicious gluten free pita!
Best greek around! We go here wayyyyy too often and love the Chicken Lemon soup. It’s my go to for every cold, cold night, and any excuse to enjoy a delicious soup!
My favorite place to eat! The food is always fresh, portions are HUGE and the place is always clean. Service is fantastic as well!
Absolutely good! Nice and fresh and good quality and quantity. I’m thrilled I gave it a try and had lunch there. I’m lucky I also live nearby .
Food is always fresh, portions are huge, quality is superb! Hands down best Greek spot in town
Greek Express never disappoints! Fresh and always delicious. The Lemon potatoes are outragous!
Eaten here many times and have never had a bad experience. Food and waitstaff are fantastic!
I ordered the #3 Lunch Special- Beef/Lamb Gyro Sandwich which came w/ a side for $14.50. I chose a side of rice. Both sandwich & rich were very tasty. I didn't order a drink but the cashier was so nice that she asked if I wanted a cup of water. They bring the food to your table w/ metal utensils & a glass cup. All in all it's a very nice experience and I will return.
Love this place, their food is great and the people are super friendly. I’ve tried a few different things in the menu and none of them disappoint. We come from the South Shore just to eat here, even my super picky 10 year old loves their food .
I always order out, and every meal is exceptional - every time. I definite go to for wonderful Greek food – enjoy it!
I had a wonderful experience at Greek Xpress Plainview today. The chicken souvlaki sticks were flavorful and the grilled vegetables cooked perfectly. The very pleasant staff were working hard making sure the store was spotless and the service was quick/ efficient. We will definitely return soon!
Favorite Greek spot in the area thus far. Usually order out for a last minute lunch or dinner, and it’s delicious at a great price. Quick service and fresh. Fries are bomb.
I am a regular here, we come with my colleagues on our lunch break nearly every day, I usually get the grilled chicken Greek salad wrap with a Greek salad lunch special but today I wanted to switch it up so I got the Aegean salad with salmon. When the waitress there asked about the temperature of the salmon I hesitated and said well done (I haven’t been asked before), but I think the manager overheard and came to the table and advised me to get it medium instead. Turned out to be the best advice for the day! Good job guys everything always delicious.
Relatively new, local Greek place. Wife had the Greek salad with gyro meat. I had the Caesar salad with Greek sausage. Meats were very tasty and portions are large. Very good value. Only negative - wife said the vinaigrette dressing for her salad was way too vinegary. She actually rinsed the dressing off her veggies. Yes we took out, rather than dining in. This was our first, but definitely not our last, time
This is the BEST Greek Food. Their chicken Slovaki is so fresh juicy and full of flavor. They also have amazing customer service. Shout out to Angela. So professional and accommodating!!! Highly recommend them!!!!
I've gone that the original one which is in Great Neck New York. I'm glad to see the quality has not dwindled in the new location in Plainview. We had a great server name Angela. Came around constantly to make sure we were doing good we had the two lunch specials we both went with the gyro meat platters that came with salad and Fries both were excellent. That tzatziki sauce is amazing here. Would highly recommend this place
Excellent Greek food. I had a lunch special of two sticks of chicken with rice pilaf. So good! I wish there was one closer to me on the south shore of Long Island.
Pleasantly surprised by how good the food actually was. I got the gyro platter over rice and everything was delicious. My wife got the Greek salad with chicken and loved it. The tzatziki sauce was goo too. Definitely going back!
Fantastic food, great portions, ok prices. They were very patient working around my wife's allergies. I had a gyro/chicken souvlaki combo with a chicken lemon rice soup, my wife had a falafel and pork souvlaki combo with the greek salad, and grape leaves for an appetizer. I normally don't like grape leaves all that much, but this was delicious with lemon juice on it. All of the food tastes fresh and made with simple real ingredients, which helps my wife's digestion. We barely made a dent in our meals, and had a nice big lunch the next day! For dessert, my wife had the greek yogurt, and I had the baklava. The Greek yogurt came out looking like a sundae, and my baklava was perfect! Delicate and masterful use of seasoning with no cloying corn syrup aftertaste. If I had one complaint, the price was a little high. It was a good value for the food we received, but I wouldn't have minded paying less for half portions. Overall, I'd definitely recommend them, and i will go back.
Omg the large salad 🥗 is an xlarge can feed 2 ppl!! Lemon chicken and rice soup so good we ordered 1 to go! The food is in abundance honestly now a days there's less for what you pay for not here.... whatever you order can be shared Great service wait wasn't long for dine in Prices aren't bad either
Stopped by this place while in the shopping center and I'm hooked. I was taken back by how great the food was. The place was packed yet my order was hot and I had it within minutes. The staff was amazing and one thing that I always look for is cleanliness. The place was spotless. I'll be back!
Just had lunch there with a friend. Their prices are reasonable. It is clean, the food is delicious & the service is top notch. The owner/manager is extremely nice & came over to our table to make sure we were satisfied with our food & service.
First time here , my company catered with these guys recently and we where amazed by the food. Very good chicken souvlaki, always juicy and soft and their salads when you sit in are huge!
I recently tried Greek Express for the first time and I was really impressed. The food came in high-quality to-go packaging which kept it fresh and intact. The Gyro was absolutely delicious, neatly prepared and really enjoyable to eat. The spinach pie was wonderfully fresh, crispy, and had the perfect balance of flavors. I'm definitely looking forward to eating here again. I felt that the $29 I spent was well worth it for the quality of food and service.
I really enjoy this place I love the salad and chicken gyro but honestly they put WAYYYY too much feta cheese on the gyro and it's wayyyy to expensive. It's ridiculous. It's $50 for 2 gyros and a drink but I'm always still hungry afterwards. It sucks because it's really good to be honest but it's not worth the money and it doesn't fill us up. And the smoothie is good but definitely not worth $8+ It's shitty because I love the food
Jason is the best and the food is amazing ! Great customer service.
Oh wow! This is the real deal and my bely is happy. I got the gyro pita and was so hungry I forgot to take a photo. Hubby is vegan and had the falafel pita. And I had the lemon wedges. Iced tea is home made and not watery! Ice tea drinkers will appreciate that. Off to dessert and baklava!
If you haven't had a good gyro or Greek food on Long Island then you need to head to Greek Xpress. Everything is made to order, cooked and served fresh. Great balance of seasonings and light tasting Greek classics. The lemon chicken soup and french fries are out of this world. Reasonably priced generous portions. Plenty of options for non-meat eaters like falafel and reallt delicious beet salad. Lots of good options for kids as well.
Very nice place to dine. Went there for the first time and I was impressed with the food. Price is ok, could be better but nowadays everything is expensive. Will definitely recommend
I had a great time eating at Greek express! The servers were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely like the modern style. Most importantly all of our food was fresh and delicious! Definitely will be returning!

Amazing authentic Greek food everything was great! Best Greek salad- best grilled chicken - best lemon potatoes - don’t forget the spicy feta dip !
Love this new Greek place! I ordered several times. The gyro sandwich, pork skewers, and the French fries were amazing. The last order I placed was a little bit late, and the restaurant gave me a free dessert as a compliment. As someone who loves Greek food and spent a lot of time in Astoria eating some of the best Greek food, I think this place is awesome, and I highly recommend it. Finally, good Greek food came to Long Island!

Food was good. Place looks clean. A tad pricey, but I'd recommend them if you're in the area.
Chicken was delicious but it needed more ingredients in the sandwich.
Food is delicious and great! But food took lonr and came veryyyy hot!
Food was great! I think just with the current times / economic situation they may be understaffed so food took longer than in the past but we had a nice experience. Also, clean bathrooms are a plus!
Prices wow.. even for the area. Way too high. They have cheaper prices at all their other locations. Need to put real gyro like the one on old country rd. Meaning not the proccessed gyro but real pork/ chicken meat.. other than that. Good to see more greek places opening up
Good customer experience; friendly staff; food was decent. A little expensive for my taste and they didn't clean their tables enough.
Dined in for lunch with a work colleague today. Quick service, friendly staff, good food. 2 soups, 2 meals, 2 drinks, and some pita for $46.71. The lemon chicken soup was great, awesome flavor. The lemon potatoes were on point, though the gyro pita was a tad salty, good pita nonetheless. $2.25 for a can of soda was excessive. I'd go back, 86 the beverage and try another dish.
I called up and ordered my food small Greek salad and grilled chicken on the side vinaigrette dressing and tzatziki. I got home sat down started to have my salad and my chicken was so thrilled, there was no tzatziki sauce so I called up Greek Xpress S. Oyster Bay Rd. Plainview and he said I will have it delivered. They brought me an extra tzatziki sauce and a baklava they were extremely apologetic and sorry for the inconvenience. That is great customer service plus the food is delicious. I WILL SEE YOU NEXT WEEK! Thank you so much!!!! IB
They’ve reduced the portions 😿 but still charge the same. They used to serve food inside cardboard boxes, but now in those round flimsy aluminum ‘plates’. I understand the economy is crazy, but they are cutting corners while still charging thru the nose . The food is fresh and great but I Won’t be going back; wayyy too expensive with small portions.
We tried the falafel, it was great, although small pieces and pricey!, the pork souvlaki and spinach pie were very good, we will come back.
Located in the Plainview mall - there’s plenty of parking. They appear clean and it’s bright with their orange interior). There’s indoor seating as well but it is for a sit down and a server would take your order. There’s a reward program via their app if you download it; you can also order from the app for pick up. We got the 5 meat family combo - they were all good (I especially loved the sausage). The combo also comes with 5 pitas, 2 sides, a salad, and 1 dip. I don’t understand but they cut the pitas into 4 pieces each which really irritated me as I wanted to wrap my meat etc with them. They should have asked if I wanted them cut before assuming. The spicy feta dip (up charge of $2.00) was good but their tzatziki was very lacking - it was too thick in consistency and very bland. When I got their regular fries last time they were very undercooked and soggy so we got the curly fries (up charge $1.00) and they were much better. Their Greek rice pudding was very yum and I recommend. Overall the food was good but they are in the pricey side. I recommend if you want 2 dips and you get this combo - get the tzatziki with the combo and get the other dip as the extra dip to save $0.49 to a dollar).
I love greek food so I have been trying to try this place for a long time finally I went to this place with something on my mind that probably was not going to be so great so I wouldn’t be disappointed but exceeded my expectations. The only thing that I did not like was the white sauce it’s too thick and bland. I would go back again to try something else on the menu. Place was clean, service was good.
Chicken souvlakis was delicious. Pita waa warm chickens was juicy. The meus a little confusing but we figured it out Avegolemono Soup was spot on Spinach pie was lacking something.. mainly the spinach
Located conveniently near Trader Joe's, this cheerful restaurant was surprisingly very tasty with nicely prepared meals, for what the name implies. Both having the lunch specials, Daughter had gyro sandwich with a choice of rice (or fries), I had the spinach pie with the salad--which was portioned well with lightly seasoned feta (great mouth feel), the pie was delicious, presented as a small square puff pastry. The only observation...there should have been two included or one larger in size.
So we got the Grilled Chicken Platter with Chicken Lemon Rice Soup (16oz) and Pita Bread. The quantity is great for two, just get extra pita bread! We ordered delivery (Uber eats) and he had pita bread at home so we were good in that! The Lemony soup was soooo good! The fries were a little soggy but the taste made up for it. Over all: Good comforting food 😍

Good place to get something to eat before you do any shopping. Ordered the lunch special and the portions were good for the price that you pay. The space is bright and clean. For drinks I ordered a soy, pineapple coconut smoothie and a falafel pita sandwich with french fries. Both were good. So if you're hungry and need something quick to eat then this restaurant would be a good choice.

Yogurt sauce thick like Cottage cheese Terrible 😔 with mi if you messed my order you LOSE a lot of respect frm period
If they make the gyro sandwiches any smaller they’ll be appetizer size. It’s way too expensive for what they serve.
Good Greek food ! Not the absolute best . But the closest your going to get to Astoria’s Greek food on the island. A Little Pricey & Portions Are Not Generous.
Food was ok it was plentiful some over cooked which was corrected and our server Jason was perfect he never lost his cool he was very pleasant I'd give it another try
I got the pork soulvalki gyro with french fries lunch special. Definitely not the best Greek place in town. The gyro was okay, but it was so small compared to other places, but they do give you a lot of french fries. I would rathered a larger gyro and less fries. I would rather go to Yiasou Yeeros. They have a better lunch special and bigger gyros.
I want to pick up my order today and I saw their employees using their phones without washers their hands and folding boxes. They are not ware the mask properly. At this moment healthy is very important to me, so I'm not coming back to this place anytime soon. I like the food.
Not the best gyro in town! Tried their lunch menu special Gyro Pita and Falafal balls. The gyro plate was large but the meat was flavorless and the overall combo didn't taste good. The falafel balls were burnt and wasn't any good either. The customer service was great, took my order to perfection and delivered right to table on time for takeout.I also noticed that the soft chiars were all worn out and torn, may be a decor update and clean furniture is a must to attract returning customers! Disappointed in my expectations for a good Gyro meal and I may skip this place in the near future!

Eaten here twice now, got the pork Gyro lunch special both times. The fries were excellent, generous portion, crispy, and well seasoned. The pita bread itself was soft and pleasant. I didn’t care for the pork itself. I found it a bit underseasoned and had a little bit of a burnt flavor, and I wish it was cut a little smaller so it’s easier to eat. Service was prompt and friendly, the restaurant itself was clean and has a nice interior. I tried it again recently but had the same experience so I don’t think it’s a fluke. Overall everything was good except the meat of the gyro, which is a shame because it’s so central to the meal. If I do return I’ll have to try a different menu item to see if it’s any better.

Total highway robbery. Overpriced food that is delivered/picked up frozen. Meat tasted freezer-burned. Waste of money.
Ordered Falafel wrap with Side of rice. Decent portions, but very bland food. A bit overpriced for a simple falafel wrap.
Service was good, however the price of the salad and the amount of lamb that came with it was not an acceptable amount for the price.
Just tried this place for lunch and not too impressed. Got the Greek salad w chicken souvlaki lunch special. Salad was tiny with 2 slivers of tomato, 1 slice of cucumer and two olives. The chicken was just laughable. It wasn't even the real chicken souvlaki kebabs that you get from a real Greek place. It was one of those tiny square kebabs they sell at BJs and you could tell it had been frozen from the taste and temperate. I spent $20 for a small bowl of lettuce, fake cold chicken and I feel ripped off. I even had to pay more for a whole wheat pita, no biggie but it was cold and wet and had to be thrown out. Not sure how great this place does considering they have Pete's and Opas all within a 5 minute radius. This was a one and done for me.
We ordered on a Friday night. It’s hard to find a good Greek place in the area. I have to say it was not good. We ordered a salad, kids chicken on a stick with fries and lamb gyro. The fries had parsley or some kind of seasoning. What child likes seasoning? Just give them plain fries. The lamb gyro wasn’t very fresh, pita bread was soggy and the tzatsiki sauce wasn’t very good either.
I had gyro flat bread sandwich. It is nothing to do with real gyro.that I had at some other kebabs restaurant. It is just flattened ground beef with no taste . They put onion and yogurt sauce in it that's all. Even Subway steak sandwich is hundred time better and tastier plus more stuff you can have with it
Seriously?! The lunch salad w chicken used to be alot bigger & included a soup. Now, the 'lunch Special' w soup costs $22 & is Really small!!
The food is not flavorful, have had plenty of Greek food from Greek in Greece to local authentic to fast food/street Greek food. Was very disappointing, have tried this place multiple times. The food just doesn't hit the spot, leaves you feel regret having wasted so much $ on mediocre food, at best. This place needs to try harder and not rely on it's busy location next to Trader Joe's driving hungry people in.

Chicken wings got my entire family Sick. They were deep fried to the point they were unrecognizable. God knows what they were trying to hide
I came in this restaurant I ordered a baklava and they gave me something else and when I called the store I told them that they made a mistake they gave me something else instead of the baklava And the dumb manager said that it's not our fault it's your fault And he also said I can't give you free food If there is a mistake you shouldn't bring the food back they should give you your correct order Because bringing food back is a health violation In the middle of this crisis Is worst Greek experience ever I've never been insulted like that in my life I'm never coming back here again
Very bad service. Irresponsible and careless staff. They brought me a salad that had been made for 3 hours and was kept in the refrigerator. And the salad was terrible overall.
Try many times to use coupon to no avail. Not user friendly. Used to be easy giving email or tel# and able to get to use points. Smaller portions lately. Like the food but will not ordering any longer.
Well, food is okay, service is very fast and clean environment. Price of the food is a total robbery abs the size is very small. I spend $45 for two people. It will not be going back there anymore
Th most tasteless ,flavorless no spice, no sauce falafel gyro I have ever had for $15. Such a waste.
I ordered food from them and got Greek salad with grape leaves . The grape leaves were full with sand and the lettuce had hair in it .
They got rid of the gluten free fries I am VERY upset that used to be my favorite place to eat. Sadly not anymore :(
I was excited to try this Greek restaurant during my lunch break but couldn't have been more dissatisfied. To start, the service was slow considering express is in the name. The price was a total rip-off, $15+ for a chicken gyro with maybe two ounces of meat and a sliver of tomato and onion. If the portion and quality were decent I wouldn't mind paying this price. Food was cold. Lemon potatoe side was undercooked, covered in oil and tasted like old tomatoe paste instead lemon. The pita bread was good. I will not be returning.
When you make it one foot inside the restaurant, the first thing which greets you is a large, rude and un-inviting sign that I wish I took a picture of. It is offensive/ insulting. The sign may have originated during the pandemic, I do not know. But that is almost 4 years ago at this point. It literally tells guests as they are walking in to go straight to a table without walking up to the registers UNLESS you have already placed an order for pickup. It states this is for “efficiency.” But it is bad customer service. It literally encourages you to walk out just as soon as you’ve made it inside. They are literally turning customers away. More power to them I guess. I’m to blame for still completing my order that time-my mistake? The food is great, nonetheless.
We ordered two chicken souvlakia on pita and lemon potato to go..which cost us 38.89 dollars..They gave us after 15 mins wait..literally there was no meat in chicken souvlaki,it was filled with lettuce and tomato-each of them cost 14 dollar plus tax..size was very small..taste was disgusting. In the bag there were no napkins or utensils..lemon potato was just baked with no taste..please don’t waste your time and money in this place..never going back

Went in today asked for the lunch special. Gyro with yogurt on the side. Not only did I not get that. But it was smoother in yogurt. Couldn’t even eat it! Done with this place!
This was my first visit to Greek express The chicken skewers were dry The salad was very small. We had to pay extra for the yogurt dressing, which was spoiled.
