Great service as always. I love the friendly service and how clean the place always is. A guy named Rory made my burrito today, and he is a fantastic burrito roller. Which I think is the most important skill for a burrito maker. He promptly greeted me, laughed at my stupid jokes, and made my burrito perfectly(good listener). This was the first time I'd seen him here and I'm a fan. Whoever hires and trains these people here is doing an amazing job.
Our person who took care of us was MIKAELA and she was SO KIND AND HELPFUL! She made us feel welcomed and appreciated our entire visit. The atmosphere was great, and the food is always amazing. Thank you Mikaela!!!
McKayla and Milan were so nice and greeted me with a smile and made my bowl perfectly. I’ll be coming back here often
Kylie was amazing. She astutly took the order while taking the time to make sure she didn't make any mistakes. If she had questions, she would confirm which she remembered everything.Save one small detail, which, frankly with as complicated as my order is she did amazing. I'm ordering for a small army because my partner eats like his second job is a food compactor. And then when we were all done, she kindly asked if I would consider doing a review, and I am delighted to do so. Thank you for keeping such a positive spirit on such a very dreary weather day. I definitely will be frequenting this location more often despite the distance.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Angie at Freebirds was amazing! It was my first time coming in, and she was super sweet and took the time to explain everything really clearly, which made the experience easy and enjoyable. She had great energy and made me feel welcome right away. Because of how great the service was, I’d definitely recommend my work/coworkers to come here. Thanks, Angie, for such a great first visit!
Makayla and Casey did and exceptional job making our meals and helping us with an app issue. Food is excellent and they were kind to our kids.
Freebirds get all 5 of the Stars!! My experience was a 10/10 and I definitely recommend. I go to Plano West and have a short amount of time to get food but the black lady there hasn’t ALWAYS made my food fast and correct. She also always a great attitude when I come just an all out amazing employee!!
We were greeted by the young ladies in the back and were told we would be helped soon. Our turn came and we built our delicious burritos with visibly fresh ingredients and great tasting as soon as they hit our mouths. So good I didn’t get to take a picture. We got a chips and queso , they were extremely good! Love it all!
Desiree was super nice and helpful when I was explaining the diet I’m on and the goals I was trying to meet. She was very knowledgeable and worked with me to make a bowl that was high in protein low in carbs and still taste great! She gave me some recommendations for what to try next time
Food is always delicious! Freebirds was having a BOGO on entrees today. So, this location was slammed with orders. Lindsay (Lindsey?) called me and notified me that they were out of Spanish rice and wanted to know if she could do a substitution on my pickup order. I told her I would just wait. Lindsay was so kind and helpful. I appreciated her communication and friendliness. I’ve dealt with her before and she’s always so wonderful! Lindsay and her one teammate deserve a shoutout for handling a busy day and the unfortunate rudeness that comes with it (which I witnessed firsthand while I was waiting for my order). I’ve never had a bad experience at the Headquarters Village location. Keep up the great work!
One of my friends is a huge Freebirds fan, I’m sort of mid on it, but I was pretty impressed this last time we met for lunch. Alternative to Chipotle, probably better known for their burritos and healthy alternatives. This time I added a creamy chipotle sauce and that made it really good. I’ll go back again - definitely worth a visit if you haven’t tried it.
I went to college in College Station, so I am very familiar with Freebirds. My work has a food delivery app and Freebirds was an option today. I ordered a bowl with steak and all of the veggies. This wasn't as I remember. The bowl was good, but the rice was a bunch of clumps and there was zero flavor (cilantro rice). Their competitor's cilantro rice has way more flavor. Steak was cooked well and tender. Their sauces are just like I remember. I will go back and try them again. I will see if my experience is the same, better, or worse.
I got the freebirds chicken burrito with Mexican rice. The burrito was mostly poorly seasoned rice, and the chicken pieces were small. The taste wasn't amazing, but it was a decent amount of food for the price. My partner got a nachos bowl and there wasn't enough cheese on it. It was as dry as a desert.
Service was good. The food used to be good but like most chains like this that eventually start serving low quality meats. Beef first then down from there. The steak was really bad. Not the first time. $15 for couple oz off fat and ligament. Better steak at Taco Bell. Hope they see this at the top and send in the fixers. Sad. I will never go back
This is one of few places in the United States that do not honor their own gift cards that were purchased directly from them. Sure, I did not come back for a few years after buying the gift card because I did not like their food but still.... I also got nowhere after contacting support from their website. DO NOT BUY GIFTCARDS FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!
Since the acquisition by Sun Holdings, the quality has fallen off a cliff. It is clear they do not value their brand as they have stripped away freshness and unique vibes and traded it for pre-prepped ingredients, smaller portions, and zero soul. This location in particular was out of salsa, their queso was basically a solid block of lukewarm cheese, the employees look unhappy and overworked, there's mold growing in the ice machines (same for the one in the off of Main and 121), the food tastes stale & old, the soda is always flat and the environment is dirty. I don't blame the employees, I blame corporate for turning it into another portfolio brand that focuses on cutting all things good for profit while squeezing the life out of it. Unless you can build a time machine to go back to when they actually cared about quality instead of stupid gimmicks like frito chili burritos, save your money and go to a local spot that actually cooks their food.
This was one of the worst experiences I've had dining out and I use to love going to freebirds in college station. The place is a mess. Nothing is stocked. There is trash everywhere. The trash cans are full so you have to stack the trays with trash on them. I've had many freebird size burritos and this wasn't living up to the huge burrito that is promised when dining at freebirds.
Today Tuesday, December 9 at noon, The girl working the front either just doesn’t care or was being a bigot towards me. I walk in and then walk to the front for my pick up around 1150. She sees me and continues with her current customer. I am waiting patiently saying nothing because I do not mind waiting my turn. She takes five minutes to get the lady ice teas in the back where no one can see her and had to brush by me to get lids. when she finally finishes with her around 11:58 she completely ignores me and goes to the next Customer at the other end, even after I called her saying I’m here for a pick up. My order was on the counter like 5 feet in front of me and had been sitting there the whole time getting cold would’ve taken her no more than 15 seconds to ask for the pick up name And hand it to me. This was super inappropriate and I did not appreciate being treated like that considering I frequent this establishment. I will have to rethink coming to this store.
The workers seem to hate their job here! Took way too long to place my order since they are prioritizing online orders over in store waiting customers! Matter of fact the person who was doing online orders in front of me didn’t even acknowledge me or offer to take my order despite the only two other visible employees being busy with other customers!
I'll start by saying we have been eating at freebirds for years, maybe every other month. We ordered two menu items, the spicy chicken burrito, freebird size, and fritos burrito monster size. The online ordering was acting a little finicky, but the orders went through. We picked up our order and checked it to see a normal sized burrito and very tiny one. Of course we were confused. Looking at the ticket, the sizes were printed there, but each seemed a size smaller. My husband went to question it, and get the correct sizes but they weren't looking to be helpful. They explained the basically kids sized one just had chicken in it. Looking at the ticket, it did only say chicken- I'm guessing the online ordering that was acting weird was the cause of that. (Still, who would order a $13 menu item then say they only want the meat? That doesn't make any sense.) He countered with questioning the size of the 'monster' burrito, since it seemed to have everything in it, why was it a size smaller than usual? No reply. Just stares. It was clear they did not feel like being helpful. Not wanting to argue, we just left. We'll just choose a different location in the future.
