Enjoyed my stay here for the last 5 days while a guest at Thompson hotel. The staff are generally very friendly and kind. Same goes with the bar tender.

By far the best whit fish I've had in playa, it was Hog fish, Great atmosphere, great service, however food took a long time while the place wasn't busy.

Delicioso, un menu sencillos y delicioso, sin pretensiones, es y es simplemente exquisito. Los esquites con tuetano y los tacos baja son geniales. Una deliciosa cerveza artesanal y la vista fueron gran compañía. Trato cálido.

¡Toda lo que quieras pedir de la carta es exquisito! Todos los alimentos son locales y preparados de manera especial por el excelente chef Daniel Manzano. No puedes irte de Playa del Carmen sin haber cenado aquí, además tienes la vista directa a la playa y un servicio fenomenal.

perfect spot to get a semi private beach chair. I arrived at about 10 AM on a tuesday . Music is chill and quiet not the dance music happening at other places. More of a relaxed vibe here which I needed. For the 500 pesos you get all day access here and towel service. The 500 pesos is also a food and drink credit. Yaz was the sweetest server very good at her job. she was taking orders and making drinks. It really showed her focus and skill. javi the manager was so nice too. Meyli at the front desk was very professional. The front desk is where you pay for your day pass. It’s more of a relaxed vibe here so don’t come if you’re in a rush. Food and drinks were yummy. I think here at CGRILL hyatt is a great option for a chill beach club. again YAZ was amazing !! I wish Google maps would make this place pop up when you searched beach club.

My boyfriend and I recently took a trip to Mexico. We wandered into the C-Grill Restaurant and were very happy with our experience. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Patricia and Manuel took very good care of us and their recommendations were delicious!!! The atmosphere was beautiful and we had the most beautiful view of the beach from our table.

Love the atmosphere, and vibe of this restaurant. So relaxing and a beautiful ocean view. If you want a quiet, classy place to eat this place is definitely the one. A hidden gem. Would recommend the C-Grill Omelette, or Benedictinos, and the fruit berry bowl. Also really appreciated the staff and their effort to communicate in English.

We went for brunch. Food is good but menu is not diverse enough. Seafood is very scarce when it should be the main thing in the menu. A lot of tortilla, pancakes and fattening food and the good stuff is really scarce. Fuimos al brunch. La comida es buena, pero se agradecería más variedad y sobretodo más oferta de mariscos. Entiendo que la gente consume cosas dulces, pero en una zona de playa se esperaría comida de ese tipo y más elaborada (por el precio). Las porciones de marisco son muy pequeñas en comparación a las porciones de lo demás, que es comida rica pero muy equis (te dan muchos chilaquiles y muchos pancakes por ejemplo).

La ensalada muy escueta.Los nachos con pollo muy abundantes.Excelete servicio,ambiente y la musica de 10! Les faltaría promocionar un poco más este tipo de opciones para el público en general.Ya que en mi caso no me estoy alojando acá pero pregunte si podían brindarme el servicio "club de playa o pass day" y si no fuera xq me anime a consultar no hubiera sabido que lo brindaban.

Came here with some friends due to the day pass being such a phenomenal price compared to nearby locations. The food was delicious and included in the hotel day pass. The only thing was the service, the server was great and friendly. But the service was very very slow, so be prepared! If you don’t mind waiting for food and drinks it will be fine. The views were great and so was the food.

The food was good, service was not so good, they also were not discreet when I tried to pick up the tab for our table, everything we ate was pretty good except for their specialty omelette, It was extremely dry not what we expected, we loved the pancakes they were super fluffy, and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The view was amazing, we were literally on the beach which was exactly what we were in search of for our last breakfast in Playa. The prices were pretty good. It’s a place where you can also go swimming while you eat, you can use the beach and they have a pool right there. The bathrooms are super clean. For parking you have to find street parking or one of the near by garages, their is no valley parking or parking at the restaurant which is in a dead end street connected to the hotel. I would go again. Really good family vibe restaurant.

Bier nur in Dosen , kein Strohhalm an der Bar die Coktails in schäbigen Plastik Gläsern keine Verzierung der Coktails Frucht-Spieß, Minze Zitrone usw. usw. nichts vorhanden zum umrühren ein Rührstab nicht vorhanden usw. , das habe ich noch nicht erlebt und das in Player Del Carmen der Strohhalm einfach nicht vorhanden, die jeder Kokosnuss Verkäufer am Strand herumträgt. Cappuccino Siehe Foto ohne Worte, Suppenlöffel dazu.

El guacamole ufff!!! Super Deli. Pésimo por parte de Francisco. (Barra del lugar) Su preferencia por atender con mejor cara y amabilidad a los Extranjeros se nota demasiado. Yo solo queria mi suero. Normalmente me abstengo de estos comentarios. Pero si me hizo molestar su actitud hacia mi. Ojito ahi (soy colaborador de Hyatt y se supone que esto no debe pasar). Por otro lado Pilar y Javi. Excelente actitud siempre y con una sonrisa. Platican y saludan a todo mundo sin descuidar su trabajo. Gracias a ellos dos!! Porque hacen notar ese buen servicio y atencion por su parte a comparación de Francisco. Nos encantó lo que hacen lis Domingos con Dj en vivo y toda la convivencia!! GRACIAS!

They have great seafood dishes for lunch and dinner which we found was good but not exceptional for the price. Location is fabulous. Can't be better. Service on the other hand was disappointing especially during breakfast time. Staff were not motivated to work, chatting away in a corner and came to our table after 10 minutes. There were 2 or 3 staff on hand yet they were not proactive or willing in serving or bringing out the food. Only one staff was working and took awhile to get the order done. If you are in a hurry, please be aware and allow more time. There were a few experienced staff who attended to us during the latter parts of the day/night there during our stay and they were helpful and friendly. So you need to try your luck on the day. Seems like no manager to monitor or direct staff all day and the level of service with the younger staff is definitely not the usual Hotel standard yet no one at hotel is doing anything to change it. Very disappointing to see as the hotel does well in other areas yet the service experience at restaurant pulls down the overall perception of the hotel.

1h30 to get the whole grilled fish of the day . When it arrived , it was not grilled ( but steamed ).No tasty at all.( it had no taste) The fish nuggets and chicken nuggets were good. Disappointed

Decent location on the beach. Slow service. Ordered pizza and some tacos. Pizza was almost inedible it was so bad. Breakfast was slightly better. Overall, there are loads of better places in Playa - if you want to eat on the beach, go to Sandbar next door. Exponentially better food.

Nice view. Terrible food. We went there for Christmas brunch. 6 of us. It was family style servings. 3 pancakes mini size and 3 waffles mini size for 6 adults. They served pork that you couldn't cut with a knife. Along with Turkey that was good but 2 bites each. We all left the pork on the plate and asked if we could have more Turkey. We were told no. Dessert was some kind of pie that you couldn't eat as the pastry also couldn't be cut with a knife. So disappointing. Definitely a Christmas to forget. Won't return .

Service très lent ! 15 mins pour prendre nos commandes de Breuvage. Apporte pas tout le nécessaire donc doit toujours attendre que la serveuse revienne pour manger, car il manque toujours quelque choses. La nourriture n'est pas bonne, jus d'orange qui goûte l'eau suri! La serveuse m'indique ne pas avoir ce que je veux commander sur le menu, mais les clients à côté de moi le commande et le reçoive et quand je lui demande pourquoi elle m'a dit qu'il y en avait pas elle me dit je vais vérifier avec la cuisine oufff serveur perdu et lent wui cour partout alors qu'il ny a pas beaucoup de client. Je n'ose pas imaginer quand s'est plein. J'ai fini par quitter apres 65 min à attendre mon repas. Le gérant c'est excusé et à annuler notre commande.

Das Essen war eine Katastrophe. Der Caesar Salat bestand aus überdimensionalen Salatblättern, alter Mayonnaise, die nach Fisch schmeckte und Parmesan. Mehr war nicht darin zu finden. Das Hähnchenfleisch war irgendwann gebraten und einfach in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt worden, was bei all unseren Gerichten festgestellt wurde. Der Service wurde informiert, wir gaben den Salat nach dem ersten Bissen zurück in die Küche und mussten ihn nicht bezahlen. Die weiteren Gerichte aßen wir zur Hälfte und ließen den Rest stehen. Die Getränke waren ok, aber für die Qualität zu hochpreisig. Man könnte hier so viel rausholen - man sitzt wunderschön, die Einrichtung ist toll, aber alles andere lässt zu wünschen übrig. Schade, dass wir am letzten Tag unseres Urlaubs hier gelandet sind, das war kein schöner Abschluss.

The service was fine and the location on the beach is nice but the calamari and fish tacos were absolutely terrible. Some pieces of the calamari tasted edible...not good, but not bad. But some of them tasted awful, like the calamari inside the breading was spoiled. The breading was much too thick and very greasy but it was still the best part of the dish. The fish tacos weren't as bad but the fish wasn't tasty. Don't eat here. 7 hours later I still have the taste of spoiled calamari in my mouth despite repeatedly brushing my teeth. I'm just hoping I don't end up getting sick.

I regret not reading the Google Reviews before wasting an afternoon trying to get the taste of their horrible food out of my mouth. The servers were not attentive at all and the majority actively ignored me after requesting for more information about their menu. This place is mismanaged and over priced. Despite being in an ideal location, I feel they are falsely representing the food and hospitality industry, which for the most I have enjoyed in Playa. They are disrespecting the tourists and locals by charging in USD $$ at poor exchange rates, at the expense of turning a profit. Shame on you.

Do Not Eat Here. Be prepared, they bill in USD and offer a ridiculously poor exchange rate. I appreciate their effort communicating in English, but shortly after being greeted, we were surprised to find that despite being visibly vacant the servers were not attentive, the only pleasant person we dealt with was the hostess. We asked for milk several times for coffee and the Benedictinos (Egg Benedict) is inedible, the sauce is rancid, and tasted like spoiled leftovers. Beware, when we complained their excuse was the “missing ingredients” were blended into the hollandaise sauce. I suggest eat else where, and enjoy the sun away from this pitiful excuse of a restaurant. Way over priced and Overrated.

I give it one stars because buddy gave us a beer after he closed. But our 6 pack or corona cost us 750 pesos. Aka 50 Canadian aka 35 usd 😵 quite a rip off. On a good note we got play Jenga beside the ocean watching the moon rise.. and it was quiet 🤷🏽‍♀️

Run run run unless you want to be ripped off! As in so many places in Playa del Carmen it is a bad tourist trap where they provide poor service to way overpriced prices. The Hyatt Group should be ashamed for whom they have hired as manager and staff. I sat yesterday on a loungetable at the C-Grill and asked for the menue. I received only a part of it (Cocktails/Whisky/Wines/Champange) with prices so high I would expect in a Nightclub with DJ etc. One Margartia 239 Pesos and one glass of redwine, supposedly Malbec, 349 Pesos was served in a plastic cup ! The wine was absolut low quality, in my personal opinion it was not Malbec at all, given the lack of taste etc. The best is yet to come. Next day I looked up their website and the offical menue/prices of the C grill. Wonder what? A Cocktail costs 190 Pesos and a glass Malbec 250 Pesos. Rip off of more than 30%! They actually demanded the price of their Rooftopbar ( Alessia club) and it was no mistake. It was simply done to except tourists. Copying the pricelist of the rooftopbar on C-Grill stationery shows quite some criminell energy. Don't get me wrong if I decide to go to a fancy place and have accordingly fancy prices, I don't care, but I expect attentive service, quality food or drinks and nothing less. Redwine in plasic can only be called a crime. I can only recommend to the owner of the hotel to get rid of such a manager and staff. The manager for incompetence, the staff for betraying guests, which will never show up for a second time. No wonder the restaurant/bar is more or less empty the hole time. Given the nice location the place should be crowed and generate revenue with no end!

Walked by here and decided to stop for a drink as it was a somewhat quiet and empty place. Realized once we got out bill why…. $7usd for a bottle of water?,! $9 for a glass of wine?!. Skip this place! Much nicer environments (and more affordable) places to either side.

Sat down for the "all you can eat" brunch, 500pso. 200 pesos to add unlimited national drinks, we did not indulge. They brought us 5 pancakes, 2 small bowls of fruit, and 2 yogurt. Then for the second course they brought 1cm slice of baked acorn squash and 3 puck tacos. Why do you bring 3 tiny tacos for 4 people? There was this delicious beet and grapefruit salad too, 5oz (for 4 people). We asked for more and they said we were not allowed to have more because we asked for another order of pancakes and fruit. How unsatisfying, and rude.
